Simply the best! We had a flood at our house and our carpet was destroyed. We contacted A1 Carpet & Tile on Thursday afternoon. They immediantly found our carpet and placed the order. Every single other place we went to said it would take a minimum of 7 days to get the carpet. Somehow A1 Carpet was able to get the carpet sourced, cut and delivered to our house by Monday afternoon. Their price was far less than competitors and the big box stores and the personal service was incredible. I will never ever buy carpet or tile from anyone else. I had A-1 install carpet and ceramic tile in my home. I was very pleased with the quality and timeliness of the work. Mohammed was knowledgeable of his products and did a great job communicating, which is often a struggle for contractors, and they scheduled the work quickly.

I was in the market for carpet and trying not to spend too much money as I intend to sell my house within the next couple of years. Mohammed was very helpful in educating me about my options. He seems to know the industry well and was clearly not trying to sell me on something I didnt need. I called and Mohammed came out to measure our home and brought samples with him. He quoted me a fair price that included the carpet, padding, labor, tax and that also included moving one piece of furniture. My husband and I went to his shop later that week to decide on a carpet and we also scheduled an installation date. The carpet was installed in a timely and efficient manner. Dont confuse this company w empire. This is a first rate carpet company which handles sales and installation. I purchased carpet from them three years ago. It had a one year warranty on the installation. My wife noticed the upstairs Carpet had some wrinkles in it. I looked up the bill of sale and like I said one yr warranty on the installation. I remembered Mohammed had talked about his excellent customer service when we bought the carpet. I called him and mentioned the issue we were having. Without having to ask he set up a. Crew of four guys who came out three days later and fixed the issue and did not charge me anything. I was really grateful as he could have blamed the problem on environmental issues and not done anything. Rare to find a quality merchant like him in this day and time. I will definitely go back to him for any future flooring needs.

Four weeks ago I used A-1 Carpet to install carpet in my basement. Mohammed and his team did an amazing job. Mohammed was great to work with and he didnt try to up-sell me. Mohammed did a very large job at our office this past year, both carpet and vinyl. He and his crew were always punctual, courteous and did very good work. We recently had an issue with some vinyl flooring in one small area of our building that was installed over some existing flooring. This issue was not the fault of the installers. Nevertheless, Mohammed lived up to his word and replaced the flooring in that area. He is always easy to get in contact with via phone and email. We were very happy with the work he did and will use him again for any future needs.

Asked for a quote to install 500 square foot of hardwood and Mohammed saidthat it would be 1250 for installation. 1 Hour later he said it would be 2400. I said that i had quotes for less than 2100. Mohammad said he would meet that price and claimed he was the best. He came out to measure and when i asked to see his work he flipped out and left. Do not Deal with this con artist.

I dont know who the person giving A-1 a poor to fair review dealt with, but not my experience at ALL!!!My wife & I did comparative shopping before having Mohammed put carpet & vinyl flooring down my wifes condo that we rent. We got the best attention out of Mohammed of any of the places we visited for quotes with the best quality for the price which is why we went with him. We were very happy where weve used him on two hardwood jobs at our primary residence since.I know some competitors submit reviews trashing companies trying to scare away business where that is my first thought seeing the other review, but maybe they did have a bad experience...I am very surprised if the case and would say probably isolated instance if true.

Just completed a complex job using Mohammeds company, and all went well. No complaints. Mohammed is a pleasure to work with, and easy to reach if questions come up. In this most recent job, we moved from one home to another, and both needed flooring work. The home we bought needed the existing downstairs hardwoods refinished, and we added new hardwoods in the entire upstairs, about 2600 sq. feet total. Home we were moving out of needed new carpet upstairs and refinishing of downstairs hardwoods, roughly 1100 square feet each. AND we needed to coordinate work with painting in both houses. Work went off without a hitch. Did not get quotes from anyone else, as wed used Mohammed a number of years ago for granite tile in master bath and new carpet in upstairs of our now former home. Wed been very happy with the quality of work and pricing earlier, so saw no need to shop this time. Weve used A-1 three times now, and have been very happy. I highly recommend Mohammed and A-1.

Not impressed. When we went to the store Mohammed quoted us $550 to carpet the stairs. We told him we would get back to him. My husband really wanted to go with Mohammed and I wanted to go with someone local. Well called Mohammed the next day and he gave me a price of $600. I immediately knew I shouldnt trust him but my husband kept saying how nice a guy he was. So Mohammed told me the installers would arrive at 3 oclock and I paid him $250. Day of the install Mohammed calls me to tell me the guys are running behind and wont be there until 4:30. Although I think its late at this point I want to get this over and done with. The guys dont arrive until 6 PM. Theres 3 of them and they hardly speak English. Im so upset my husband calls Mohammed and he said because he was going out of town he cant reschedule the install for another week and a half. I allow the guys to do the install wondering how are they going to cut the carpet in the dark. They finished around 7:30 including cleaning up the nails that were everywhere. Mohammed said he would give us $50 off for the inconvenience but didnt tell his installer that so I paid full price and didnt argue. The top 3 stairs are not exactly even like the rest of the pattern on the other Stairs but the padding is amazing and it looks really good. However thee service I received was poor. Mohammed mailed us a check for the difference and the stairs look good but I would never go through this company again. Dont let the Angies list certificates that Mohammed printed out fool you.

I recommend A-1 all of the way!I recently purchased a condo that needed basically new everything. The easiest part of that remodel was anything that A-1 Carpet and Tile was involved. They were a complete joy to work with and bent over backwards to help me work around the other contractors.I purchased my kitchen cabinets and tile from Lowes. I also had Lowes quote carpet. They came in twice of what was expected for the carpet based on the square footage and the price labeled for carpet and padding. I spoke to Mohammed at A-1 and went over my carpet options. I picked out a carpet that I liked and he gave me a price based on the square footage that Lowes had measured and I was happy. Mohammed then came to my condo to measure for the carpet, just to make sure. I am glad he did because he said, I can do it with less carpet and he reduced my cost on the spot. He didn’t have to do that and could have kept his mouth shut; I would have never known. Two weeks later, Lowes called me back and said he had spoken to his manager and could reduce the price. I told them too little too late; you should have given me your best price from the beginning.I had already lined up the tile install with someone else, but then I was not confident that they would do a good job. I went back to see Mohammed and we worked out an install price. I am so glad I did that. The tile I had bought from Lowes has a couple of boxes (2 out of 14) of tile that were not completely square. The installer caught that about a quarter of the way through. He ripped up his work and started over with the good boxes. They did not complain or rush through the rest of the job. I have gotten several compliments on the tile install.As I had mentioned before, I purchased my cabinets from Lowes and were going to install them for me as well. Cabinets delivered directly to the condo, install within a couple of days. Sounds simple. It took more than two weeks to get an install date once the cabinets were delivered. The cabinets where sitting in the living room; so, in the way to put carpet down. A-1 worked with me as I rescheduled the carpet install two times.In summary, A-1 = joy to work with. Lowes, not so much. Still waiting to get a date to have my granite counter-top templating done since my cabinets are installed. Keeping my fingers crossed that it happens soon because I have to move in soon. If only A-1 did granite counter-tops.
