They are liars, after we got approved for the car that we chose they increased the price from $47,000 to $54,000 plus tax tag and title after just 5 days from the approval date. This happens after they took all of our private information.

Very tight lot so difficult to get in a carDoc feels are unreasonable and unnecessary as many lots have done away with them because customers know this is only an upcharge fee for no value added for the customer. The car buying experience was easy with Hertz, but I feel that I could’ve received better treatment as a customer. I was extremely bothered that I drove home and cleaned my “new” car on my own. I sat as I saw other cars getting cleaned up and asked Dennis if my car could be cleaned as well because it was dirty. He told me he’d see what he could do. While I was completing paperwork, he cleaned the tires himself (which were only shined with some spray) and told me he had gotten the car “cleaned up”. Really? This really bothered me bc if I’m buying a car new to me, it should look like a new car when I drive off the lot. This experience made me feel less important as a customer. What was it that other cars could get washed and shined up but mine couldn’t? He was aware that I was coming, at least 3 days in advance—it wasn’t a spur of the moment purchase. The other thing that bothered me is when I checked the trunk as I was cleaning the car once I got home, I discovered it didn’t have a spare and jack in the trunk. Other than that, the dealership/salesperson would receive a much better rating. It’s all about customer service.In the drive home I realized that the cruise control did not work and informed Dennis. He told me to take it to my nearest Nissan dealer. I did, and Hertz took care of the repair with no problem, and I like that. However, it doesn’t make me forget about the easy fix they could’ve done just by properly washing and cleaning my new car.

We were interested in a car(jeep) we talked things through over the phone regarding to financing the car. After we received the contract we decided that it wouldn’t be in our best interest to finance the car so we politely let Hertz Charlotte know we wouldn’t sign the contract. All good so far. Until two and half weeks laters we got all these alerts from our creditbureau’s that Hertz Co has pulled our reports again together with several lenders for a car loan we did not apply for.We called Hertz Charlotte and we was told that they had moved to a different location and that for reasons unknown the old application came up again and they run it. So we asked them to reverse it they promised they would call and solve this matter but until now nobody has called. When we call the manager is always busy. I already also filled a complain at headquarters because this little “mistake” costs us points on our reports and there several hard inquiries on our report without permission. So no we are not happy with this Hertz.

I spent the last 2 days trying to get in contact with someone, anyone, about buying a car. Not sure if everyone has been laid off or if they are home because of covid.... whatever it is, I tried 3 different numbers, was on hold for over an hour with the main sales number on the site, and still didnt get a chance to talk to a person. i would have done the whole process online but hertz site is not setup that way.... obviously i feel like i just wasted a lot of time.

Dear hertz car sale, y’all need to work on how to treat a customer. Me and my family drove over an hour and 45mins to see a car and buy it and y’all can’t even greet us at the door with a hello but your employee can just walk past and stair. The manager/owner should be ashamed to have a business where their workers act this way to customers.

I wouldn’t even give one star if I didn’t have to. You may as well find another Hertz because the customer service is terrible. Do not deal with Mike and the first guy you see when you walk in either. It’s an older black guy. Shady service at best.

This was one of the best car buying experiences I have had anywhere. The staff there were courteous and kind. The information regarding the cars and their histories were straightforward and transparent. The staff worked very hard to not only find me a car but to find one that fit me and my driving needs. They even checked up on me later on to make sure the vehicle was working out and that the registration went smoothly. Hertz should definitely be the first place to look for a quality used car in Charlotte.

Just bought a minivan from this location and was quite pleased with everything so far. Gary, Justin, Mike and Elio all were very friendly and professional. They met my expectations and even surpassed by doing a couple of things that I asked for. Great price was set with no haggling. I dont like the dealer doc fee being so steep, but all the dealers nick you for that these days. Parking lot is quite a cluster, but they are moving to a new location in the near future, so that should be resolved.

We found Hertz through Autotrader and their prices were incredibly competitive compared to other dealerships, and market value. Jeffrey helped us, and throughout the whole process we never felt pressured, and he gave us plenty of space to checkout the vehicles, discuss together and take multiple vehicles for a test drive. We really appreciated this as many other salesman tend to smother you! Bush league bait and switch. I reserved a vehicle to be purchased and received a call that the vehicle had completed its 100 plus point inspection and was ready to be picked up and purchased. I drove over 3 hours to pick up the vehicle and upon my arrival was told that the vehicle was not in a condition to be sold and instead they would sell me another vehicle with more miles for $3,000 more. I asked if there was an issue with the vehicle why couldnt I have been called ahead of time to save myself from taking a day off of work and all the time and effort to come pick up the vehicle. They had no answer. I should have suspected that there was an issue due to the poor communication I had with them for the week leading up to purchasing the vehicle. I now know why their prices are so good its because of their shoddy bait and switch tactics.

I recently bought a 2016 Kia Soul with Demitrius. As soon as I arrived I told him I needed a car asap since my car was totaled, I told him about my budget and my finance situation, he was straight forward as far as my expectations on the finance or not of the car and wen through my options. I looked into the options, test drove a few cars, and ended up going with a different style than what I had in mind because of how comfortable I thought the Soul was. Justin made the finance paperwork process go very smoothly, he explained and gave advices as far as getting the interest rate to go down in the future, very kind of him, not to mention he stayed until passed 9pm in order to close my deal.
