I got ahold of Jones after 1 month of daily calls. I went last year as a formality and, the doctor was confused because my prescription has not changed in some time. They can mail the info but not digitally.
The doctor is nice and ladies who fit glasses are ok. Some very nice, some a little curt. The receptionist is the problem, very blunt and rude. Not friendly. I dont know why businesses who want business employ front desk people like this. People who are more shy and easily intimated will go to a place that has a friendly front desk person. I can handle the front desk person but my daughter who has communication disabilities cannot and will not go to this office because of the receptionist.
Dr Burgwald is very thorough, and the opticians are exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful.
I reviewed every optical company in the CU area and the reviews on Jones Optical were the best. I guess the other reviews came ft another country. The Doc was nice and did a good job. That is why I have two stars. She handed me off to a tech. The tech thought I needed the new craze, clip on sun glasses. I did not agree but purchased them. Within a week the magnets fell out. They fixed them and within two more weeks they broke in the case in my jacket. Number one these are nothing more than junk. I removed the sun glasses at least 10 times a day. When they broke I took them back and got my prescription to get real sun glasses. This should have been fixed by a complete refund. I paid 177 dollars for junk. They made no offer. I will never return to this place and I will never recommend. Terrible service gets one chance and they had two and failed.
My husband and I have both had a great experience at Jones Optical. They have a great selection of frames. Alexis was SUPER helpful and patient. All of the staff was welcoming and friendly.
Was able to schedule an appointment that fit my needs. As soon as you come in, the staff is helpful and friendly. The Doctor was friendly, patient (I am one of those that have to see the “ 1 or 2 “ a few times) and educational. The staff that helps with filling your script were friendly, patient and helpful. And they have a great frame selection.I would suggest Jones to anyone.
Highly disappointed in the customer service experience here today. I took off early from work and we drove from out of town - experienced traffic and were 4 MINUTES past their cut-off to have to reschedule. I asked the receptionist if she was serious and she said AS A HEART ATTACK. Ill be rescheduling all of my familys optical needs elsewhere from now on. We were there for glasses and an annual supply of contact lenses. I suppose someplace else will be glad for the business and, perhaps, a bit more flexible when life happens.
All of the ladies upfront in the back for very helpful friendly. The eye doctor was professional, caring and friendly. She was very knowledgeable and concerned about my eyesight. I thought they all did an excellent job helping me. Thank you ladies! Joe Graning
They are very helpful and very pleasant to work with. When a person needs repair on their glasses or anything to do with picking out glasses or contacts they are very helpful. They are very helpful to also get you in for an appointment if you have a problem with your eyes. I would definitely recommend them.
I picked up my glasses today and cant say enough good things about how wonderful the service was. I worked with Barb primarily. She was really patient and, even after my glasses arrived the first time and the frames werent what I thought they would be, her patience and excellent service continued. She called the company, sent them back and the frame was replaced. Plus these glasses needed no adjustments....that has notalways been the case. Pam helped me today as Barb was unavailable and she was just as friendly and helpful. I will definitely return to Jones Optical.....a five start experience!
Went to pickup glasses that we’re repaired under warranty. When tech brought them out I tried them on for fit, asked if they could be straightened a bit as they were high on the right. ( not level) tech said you want me to adjust them? I said yes, thank you!She came back And there seem to be no difference. I said they still seem a little high. She said well I can adjust them again but if I break them I’m not responsible for your glasses. I’m thinking to myself what? You break my glasses in your not responsible? I took them off my face looked at them, she said well do you want me to address them? I said no never mind. And I left! Both techs that I have had there have been very rude and act as if they don’t really want to help you. Not friendly at all!
I made an appointment a week ago at 11am. I made sure I didnt forget by writing it down on my schedule. I was even told by the receptionist that I would be notified about my appointment a day before. I came in and I was told my appointment was at 9am instead 11am. I know for a fact my appointment was at 11am because I wrote it down after I got done talking with the receptionist. I also wasnt notified about my appointment like they said they would. I have to wait another week for an eye exam, and another week on top of that, for my lens to come in. I find this very unprofessional and inconvenient.
I have been going to Jones Optical for three years and I am always 100% satisfied. Dr. Burgwald and all of the staff are super friendly and helpful! Im pretty picky about my glasses frames and Ive always been able to find something I like within a reasonable budget.

Jones optical has great frames and get my progressive lenses done correctly. I have been going there for years after having problems elsewhere. They recognize me when I walk in. A true small-town treasure.

Ive been using Jones Optical for years. My daughter was recently in a car accident out of state, which resulted in her glasses being broken. They worked very quickly to help my daughter to be able to see again.
Effective and quick but comprehensive eye exam. It helps when you have 20/15 vision though.
I wish I could give 0 star. After taking the money, they does not care the customer and the passion solve the mistakes they made. Here is my story.They told me it need a week and it takes for a month for me. There are two problems I meet in this deal. First is that my glass is made to a wrong person and send to a wrong place. The second one is that the lab makes mistake that the lab put left lens to the right. The service people does not admit there is something wrong with my lens. The fact is that the lab should only takes 3days to send the glass back but it takes more then a week. Also, they are unwilling to give ur good service or care for the customs. They forget to give me back my mirror case and cleaner for lens. There are still too many troubles in my deal. I got the audio record for my story and how they are dishonest. I just do not want to spend even a second this terrible place.

Its alright. The receptionists can be improved but the doctor and the fitters are nice.
Total rip-off. Their prices are unbelievable. Remember - your prescription is your property, and you can get lens replacement online for $39 flat. Besides, the lowest price of their frames is the highest at other places.
I didnt get passed the rude receptionist because they didnt take my insurance. I was told they would run it before i got there to make sure they took it and how much the co-pay was. So i drove 30 minutes to wait in the waiting room 15 minutes after my appointment was scheduled to be told i couldnt be seen. I am very dissapointed because i used to love this eye doctor.
