How RUDELY I was treated today! I will NOT be back to Donahue, and Ive been a customer for YEARS. Well, no more. I was on the phone while shopping there and also when ready to check out. The reason is bc my elderly mom was having some issues and I was trying to assess her situation quickly so I could figure out if I needed to head down to help her. There was only one other customer in the store, who was busy looking for her items. The clerk was at the front desk, as was I, with my items and ready to check out. It was clear the clerk was ignoring me. She finally turned to me and said, We only help people when theyre off their phones. REALLY? She had NO idea why I was on my phone. I wasnt being loud at all and fully able to pay her. I did NOT get off the phone, given the reason I was on. Well, Paper Source, here I come! Guess Donahue Paper Emporium hasnt been hurt by the pandemic, they dont need the business and they dont understand the meaning of customer service. Bye-bye, Donahue!

100% Recommend! They have saved my business multiple times by having paper & finishing products that other paper stores do not carry. Great supply & the staff is always willing to assist. If you are looking for a place you can rely on for paper or other paper related products, look no further!

I stumbled across this location after completing an escape room right next to it. Once me and my friends understood the power and benevolence of the blessed emporium, its aura immediately called for us to enter. After we crossed the threshold from the mortal plane into the emporium, we were awestruck. Paper as far as the eye could see. I could not exit this building without a purchase. I waddled over to the pen section and bought three pens and a box cutter. My thirst for quality products was satiated. I would drive the two hour commute to this place again.

Love this place - nicest staff and cheaper than Staples/ Target/ Office Depot for envelopes, name badges, and of course all kinds and color of paper. Custom printing orders are their specialty - will keep coming back for sure - love supporting the local shops! Service is 5 star worthy!

I really like this store! They have a great selection of gifts for kids and adults—things I don’t see elsewhere. Need paper for any occasion? They have it! Nice selection of journals, pens, and pencils. I haven’t had an occasion that called for custom invitations, but the samples are amazing! The employees are helpful and kind, making for a pleasant shopping experience.

I was referred to Donahue by a local printer who couldnt accommodate my order. What a find! I was in a panic due to poor planning and Laura was a dream to work with. She was so accommodating and helpful. She helped me make selections, offered guidance and put my mind at ease. My order came out beautifully and adhered to my time crunch. So happy to support a local business but they made it easy! Highly recommend and my preferred printer going forward!

All of the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable! You are immediately offered help upon walking in the door, and they are willing to personally help you find whatever paper or product meets your needs. Even if they do not have what you are looking for in stock, they are willing to either order it in for you or help you find a comparable product to accommodate your needs. Thanks for all of your help in the past!

Awesome to see shops like this still part of the community! They were polite, helpful, and saved me hours of paper cuts on a project for work. I would much rather support local businesses over the commercialized big box stores, looking forward to coming back!

Couldnt believe they were serious, looked for a garbage can didnt see one so I went in and inquired. First she asked me if there was anything in it and after making a face at me told me to walk around the counter to throw my paper bowl with granola away. As I went to leave she said no take your trash with you if youre not buying anything. I still cant believe they get a lick of business treating people like that.

Would be 4 stars for products but lack of customer service (particularly from owners) brings it down to about a 1.5 which I generously rounded up to a 2. When I called to let them know the coupon included in my last email had an expiration date weeks prior to the email, I was told Oh, well. It doesnt matter anyway. No apologies. No offer to honor it to keep a (once faithful) customer happy. I get better service from AMAZON!!!

Big Zero Stars for this place. I went there tonight about 20 minutes before their published closing time. The one employee, I think the owner, greeted me, I think. Actually, I could have greeted him as I was looking for specific help.I told him I was trying to make cards for the first time, and I had purchased black card blanks, and I realized that may not have been the the best choice because I was having problems printing on the card. He said thats easy, you cant print black on black. Really, thats his condescending help? I asked if he had any other suggestions, and he suggested I print in a lighter color. Gee, why hadnt I thought of that? After all, I am an intelligent and educated woman.Well mister helpful employee of a paper store which caters to card makers, specialty paper buyers and the occasional origami master, I expected some real knowledge sharing and out of the box thinking such as, vellum inserts of another color, which could be printed on.I apologize for bothering you at your job. I can assure you it will never happen again. In fact, I will tell everyone I know of the fabulous help and insight you provided. Hopefully, they will never bother you while you work either.A word of wisdom from someone with real sales experience. I was potentially your best customer of the day, a woman on a mission with discretionary income.

One of the poorest displays of customer service I have ever experienced. Please take a couple minutes to read how pathetic this experience was.A few weeks ago, I was pleased to discover this store close to my office. I called to confirm that they had what I needed and to see if they would cut a limited number of sheets to size. They confirmed that they had what I wanted and told me that they do provide a cutting service.I stopped in to purchase a heavier laser printable paper that would fold well without requiring scoring. I was shown a possible sample sheet and asked if I could fold the sample to make sure it didnt split when folded. The young clerk was not to keen on the idea of me folding a sheet, saying it was hard to sell a sheet that was folded. Really? I wanted to buy at least a ream, but wanted to make sure it worked for my need.I then asked if they had the perforated business card stock for laser printers: Yeah, but its being discontinued. He showed me what they had, which wasnt much, and made it clear that it was not discounted.I decided to purchase a ream of the paper and asked if they would cut it. He suggested that they were probably busy and that I would have to come back to pick it up. He then walked to where the cutter is located and checked with a young lady. She said she would be happy to cut it.As she was preparing it to cut, the young man returned and told her it was time to go to lunch. She suggested that she would do the cut first, that it would only take a couple minutes. She was told to leave for lunch and was required to do so. I was then told that I must come back later if I wanted it cut.I have purchased a significant amount of paper over the years from Paper Source, Xpedx and custom ordered through Office Depot. I recommend you use those sources rather than these guys.I decided to take my business elsewhere and when leaving, mentioned to the older guy at the front counter that, although I had been excited to discover them, I was disappointed in that they would not allow the young lady to do the cutting for me. He responded in a rude and arrogant manner, saying that she was going to go to lunch.I have always maintained a healthy relationship with those I do business with and I have never before written a negative review. However, there was nothing professional or satisfactory about this experience.Read their other reviews. Several others had an equally negative experience. One never knows, perhaps they are facing some difficult times or something, but I dont believe that such disrespect and arrogance is ever appropriate.

In my opinion there is nothing like walking into a family run local store and these guys are exactly why I love to shop and support small local businesses. The staff is wonderful and always willing to go the extra mile and help.Their selection of items in the store feels unlimited and on a rare chance they dont have what you are looking for they will order for you or refer you to somewhere to get the item you need. They just started doing in house printing too which is super fast and convenient. If you need to get your creative juices flowing just share your thought with one of their staff and they will help you create the perfect invite, announcement, etc.Go check them out you will be so glad you did.

I love this place. My wife goes to look for all her crafty stuff and I dont think she has ever asked for something they didnt have, and let me tell you she would be the type of person that would ask for some random crazy sheet of paper. While she is looking at paper I usually just check out some of the other pretty awesome things they have. Just the other day I got a Colorado Flag beer T-shirt. Oh, and the people that work here are always fun and enjoy helping customers with ideas or finding things that work together. you guys killed it. Thank you!

I wasnt going to leave a review until I saw other peoples reviews. I have been coming to this shop for my paper needs for just about 3 years. I LOVE the paper, selection is great...a little pricey for some things...but I understand. For the most part I never have issues at all. However, I am assuming it is the owner, but she is rude to me every single time I am in there. Never makes eye contact, never smiles at me, doesnt really say anything when I try to be nice and make conversation. I was recently in there and she pretty much turned her back on me to talk to a friend and let someone else ring me up as I approached the register. Most of the time she has a ticked off look on her face when I walk in. I will continue to shop here because I have to, but it would be nice if she was just a little bit more friendly since I am always nice to them when I go in there.

I have seen some bad reviews for this place, but every time I have gone in the ladies in there have been very nice and could point me to anything I needed, immediately. Last time I went in there, I was on crutches and was offered help multiple times to carry my items to the counter. They also helped me out to my car with my box of paper. I count on this store for what I do and they have never disappointed.

I believe this is the only store in the Denver area that has the variety of colors and sizes of paper products for an individual to purchase, by the sheet or ream. It seems every other option has just gone away. Card stock in a few different sizes and textures, lamination pouches in 5 mil, binding spirals, packaging sleeves, labels and a variety of boxes are some of the things that I found that will meet current and future needs.

I read all the negative reviews, but was really hoping to give a smaller business a chance. The printing setup fees are outrageous...$35 to set up a print when I am willing to do that myself as a graphic designer. Also, the thing that honestly made me walk out without even looking any further is that you have to pay for each piece of paper youd like to take a sample of. This is absolutely unheard of from all other paper stores Ive been to!! Donahues prices are already higher than their competition and then to charge 25 cents for each paper I want to sample print. It doesnt seem like much, but when everywhere else offers free samples, its a little outrageous. Get with the times, Donahue!
