Bad service and they cheat on the mileage I dont recommend this service
DO NOT RENT A UNIT FROM HERE!!!!!General manager there is greedy, lazy, bad customer service and a lier. The storage facility is DIRTY! I closed my account/ storage unit and moved to different storage facility. Customer service much better, very clean. I wish I could give them zero stars. I work customer service, and never treated my customers the way he did.
Great location to rent a 10-footer or any size vehicle for hauling fast quick and easy thank you U haul very pleased
Only one person working the counter at the end of the month I dont get it
I had been putting off buying/installing a hitch due to my hectic schedule lately. So I decided to have U-Haul in Brooklyn Park install the hitch for me. It was supposed to take two hours. About 6 hours after I dropped the vehicle off, they called me to tell me that my key was not working to get the vehicle out of the bay. The women on the phone was very rude about it. I was over an hour away, and rushed to get their as they had other vehicles they needed to get into the bay. When I got there, the dashboard was indicating that it was registered the key. The mechanic (U-Haul must use this term very loosely) informed me that it worked just fine to get it on the ramps. They installed the hitch and drove off the ramps and then finished the electrical system. It was after that when they could not get it to start. And they even tried to jump start it. I knew immediately that they had messed up something with the electrical. Later the general manager Alex called me to inform me A lot of fuses were bad because my battery was dead, and that can cause fuses to blow (anyone that knows cars or general electrical already knows that is not how fuses work) I disagreed with him, and he asked if it would be okay to tow to Brookdale Luther Toyota, but again stated that it most likely was an issue caused by the condition of the vehicle. I agreed to have the vehicle towed, and was also informed that the dealership would not be able to look at it until the following day. So I would have to sit vehicle-less.I immediately contacted the corporate office to inform them of the situation, and to inform them that the general manager was rude, condescending, and was being dishonest about the situation. The following day I received a message from the dealership (screenshot below) It looks like the main 120 amp fuse was blown, possible from the battery being jumped backwards or short when wiring hitch (It turned out to be both) The general manager (Alex) contacted me later that day to inform me that he had received the message from Toyota, and that I should pay for the repairs, and he would just charge me for the parts. (This would have cost me more than the original amount) I told him that I did not want their hitch on my vehicle as I did not trust the work anymore. So he requested that I still pay for the repairs, and bring my vehicle by the shop for them to uninstall the hitch and electrical. (There is absolutely no way I was going to let them near my vehicle again) After the general manager (Alex) tried very hard to persuade me that i should let them uninstall it, He agreed to let the dealership uninstall the hitch. Since Alex had waited until the end of the day to contact me, I was going into day three of not having a vehicle. He also informed me that I would still have to pay for the repairs, and after they filed an insurance claim, I would get reimbursed. I spent several hours on the phone with their corporate office (at least half of it on hold). I was promised a phone call by the area manager -he was in the field and that it would be a few minutes, but would call me as soon as he got where he was going. 8 hours went by, no phone call. I contacted the corporate customer service number yet again (keep in mind, the minimum wait time is 15 minutes) and they told me that I just need to deal with their insurance company. Not one manager contacted me to apologize or provide any sense of caring/effort to assist me. On the 4th day I needed my vehicle, so I caved and paid for the repairs, and had to deliver the removed hitch and parts back to U-Haul. So I am now waiting for the insurance company to reimburse me for the repair costs, I still have no hitch on my vehicle, I sat 3.5 days without a vehicle, and I am completely disgusted that a company could act like this! On a positive note, the Brookdale Luther Toyaota dealerships had great customer service.
