Always fast friendly service, clean store

Close and convenient, this is a nice store but its beginning to seem a lot like Shaws and other grocery stores it carries more regular items. It seems to have much of what other stores carry. I think since Amazon bought it, it has changed. Still has lots of organic food, a little pricey but thats to be expected at Whole Foods! Seemingly always busy, staff is friendly at least the people Ive dealt with. Hot food too! Try it out if youve never been there.😉

This Whole Foods doesn’t have a butcher shop unfortunately so there isn’t a wide variety of cuts of meats. Fruits and veggies were also not the freshest although I went early morning right after deliveries to the store.

My closest WF. I think the employees do the best with what they have. But my complaint lies with two issues. First, you have to watch expiration dates because they are frequently past code. On produce - I have frequently bought items that went bad within days of bringing them home. This month I got moldy strawberries twice in a row - not good. They also frequently run out or just remove popular items from inventory. I was buying Noosa plain yogurt in the large container and all of a sudden they just stopped carrying it, even though Symphony still does. The entire chain has gone downhill since Amazon got it, but I think they could do better here in ensuring their stock is fresh.

Been going here for years and everything is great and good quality food. Just one feedback: the amount of sales you guys loose in the seafood section must be tremendous. Myself, and I’ve seen many others, waiting to get seafood for 10min+ on multiple occasions. I end up leaving as one doesn’t get served. Please have someone there more frequently! Other than that it’s a great store with extremely friendly staff.

Bugs in the garlic, chicken smelled rotten 2 days before the sell by date, broccoli was very soft 4 days after buying it. Im down to spend a bit extra to get healthier/less processed/more sustainable foods, but not if most of the food ends up bad within a few days after purchase. Whole Foods did make it right - they returned/exchanged the goods and things were made whole. Even still, we won’t be shopping here again. It’s more expensive and requires more frequent trips.

EDIT (06/21/20): Bumping this up to 5, QC has greatly improved and have not had the issues described below since the time of writing . Thanks for fixing this Whole Foods!Nice little store for a lot of the essentials, but I have to knock a couple stars. On two separate occasions in the last couple weeks I found out after I got home that I had bought expired milk and bread. While I understand these are hard times, that’s completely unacceptable, you shouldn’t be stocking expired goods and Whole Foods isn’t exactly the cheapest store around either. Please watch your quality control and I’ll consider updating my review.

Ordered some food for pick up to celebrate a mini thanksgiving at home. Everything itemized and prepared, packaged in this convenient box to be taken out to the car. Carried it out by the handles as instructed, didn’t even make it to the car before the bottom of the box completely exploded because it was wet from the refrigerated food.Accidents happen. Nobody’s fault; just an act of chaos. But the employees saw it happen outside the store, employees and even the manager (I think it was Rick?) all came to help me pick up the food items (nearly all in good shape because packages were sealed and protected), exchanged the food, gave me a new dry box with tape for reinforcement, and gave me a gift card for the inconvenience even though it was nobody’s fault. Super nice, friendly, and helpful without being asked or prompted. Above and beyond in terms of customer service.

Since Amazon bought Wholefoods, their price became more reasonable. If you are looking for organic and fresh produces and Trader Joes is not nearby, this would be your shop at the neighborhood. This location is pretty small but they still got a variety of products. Problem is you need to do the shopping in the morning or afternoon cause if you come late, a lot of stuff are going to be sold out.

I have been shopping at this Whole Foods for more than 20 years. Since Amazon took over, the quality has gone way down and prices have gone up. The produce has always been good, if expensive, but now it is very poor. Fish is often less than fresh. Staff are less helpful and many seem unhappy. I have tried other branches of Whole Foods (Fresh Pond, Westland Avenue, Prospect St.) and its the same story. Sadly I will not be shopping here any more.

Review №47

I shop here on a daily basis. It’s an elegant little market with a good variety of food and produce items to choose from. I’ve never had any issues at this Whole Foods in regards to the workers. They are all very nice and helpful people. However, my issue is more on the inventory side at this location as I will periodically find myself in a position that they are either out of stock of a certain Wholefoods item or they don’t have it in stock. This location does not have a complete selection of food and produce items like the Whole Foods location on River street. If you want a full selection, I suggest that location and if I lived closer to Trader Joe’s, I’d probably shop there because the produce is a bit cheaper than the produce at Wholefoods, but since I live only a short walk away from this place, it’s my go-to grocery store. Overall, if you’re in a jam to get some fresh quality ingredients to cook breakfast, lunch or dinner fast on Beacon Street, this is your place. The only reason I can’t give 5 stars at this place is because they don’t have the full inventory of Wholefoods items, but it’s understandable since it’s a much smaller building than the Wholefoods on River Street, which I give 5 stars to since they also sell beer and wine at that location.

As a former worker at WFM, I was dismayed that rain checks are not given on out of stock products. Although taking initiative is good practice, please ask the customer if they would like another bag instead of assuming they want one. (Bring back the coop, I say. Healthy food for working class heroes!)

Be sure to check the dates on anything you buy in this location. I recently shopped there and found eggs way past the expiration date (2 weeks past the sell by date), very hazardous to your health. I would also avoid thing in the freezer section, the freezer burn is evident on a lot of the products but not always. Id recommend going to Trader Joes its not too far and they have a better price point. As for food, Id recommend any near by shop, because Id question any ingredients at this location.
