I have visited Dorchester Tire on two different occasions. Both times I had nails in my tire. I was in and out in 40 minutes each time. They communicated clearly each time how they would fix it and told me how much it would cost. These guys know what they are doing and business operates very smoothly. Couldnt use my regular mechanic because of the pandemic and went to Dorchester Tire. They indeed live up to their great reviews; fair prices, great service and a very professional and friendly staff! I would highly recommend them....... and to top that, got the car home and discovered they had - without me asking - restored my foggy, oxidized headlamps. I was planning on buying new headlamps (at $170) and now my old ones look as good as new. I am really blow away by this service! I wish I could give Dorchester Tire some more stars!

I have been a loyal customer for years, actually decades and they just keep getting better and better. Even during these crazy times, they have found a way to keep their employees and customers safe and still provide the service that I have always been accustom to... They are truly the best!!

Stopped by Dorchester Tire last week to get an oil change, tire rotation and state inspection. I was told that it would take three hours which was fine because I live a short distance from the shop and was able to walk back home and take care of other tasks. Not quite an hour and a half later I was pleasantly surprised to get a phone call from Mike telling me that my car was ready to go. These guys always strive to provide great service on my car in a timely manner and at a very reasonable cost. In the past theyve performed many repairs, some major, on my vehicles and I always drove away feeling very confident that the job was done right and that the price was fair. If you are looking for a full service auto repair center that stresses honesty, thoroughness and competitive prices, then Dorchester Tire is the place to visit!

Brought my vehicle in for an inspection. Despite initially being told it would be 90 minutes, it ended up being less than an hour. The service is here is always fast and super friendly. Its also nice to see how carefully theyre following state guidelines concerning social distancing and COVID-19.

I came in for inspection sticker, thinking no one will be here since it is 7:20am on a SATURDAY! Let just say, I was number 7 in the waiting list! Even though they were packed, they did a full inspection and took their time to make sure your car is safe. While I’m listening them communicate with other customers, they seem very honest, reliable and knowledgeable. Would definitely give them a try.

The service (even during the COVID restrictions) was great. The team was able to replace my tires quickly and at a reasonable cost. Even after I had issues with one of the new tires they were able to fix the issue and ensure the issue was resolved.

Excellent service even with the crisis going on. Went there and just call because the showroom floor is closed to the public. But they still will come out safely and worked on my car. Called me like 2.5 hours and told me that my car was ready. Front brake work ...really quick. Now my car runs like a brand new car...thank you Dorchester tire!!!

I got my 60,000 mi check up on my 2010 Toyota Corolla. My tires were 9 years old. And I had an enormous rat nest in my cabin air filter. You gotta love parking on the streets of Boston and critters nesting in your car. They serviced my car. Changed the oil, I bought 4 new tires and got an alignment. They removed the enormous rats 🐀 nest yuck!! And told me how to prevent the rat from coming back and how to monitor that by removing my glove box to examine behind it. They are awesome!!! $700 for everything. They are honest and don’t rip you off. They also recommended I replace my break rotors at my 90,000 mi service.

On arrival a gentleman at the desk vaping behind the counter..Besides thatarrived at 8, told 3 cars ahead of me waitin 1 hour. Nicely spoke up abd the counter person was so arrogant and rude. Told me if i didn’t like it to go somewhere else. 1 person spin all inspections by himself ... poorly managed and not following Covid guidelines.

These guys are top notch, incredibly professional and know their stuff. This is the only place in the Boston area that I will take my car to for service. Theyre really honest and never look for a quick buck. This place is almost always busy, which is a great sign. Do yourself and your wallet a favor and check these guys out. I found a large nail in the wall of my tire and needed to get it replaced ASAP. Dorchester Tire Services pricing was fair and they provided me excellent customer service. They let me park my car on site overnight in case it went flat before the morning, and they kept the car an extra day so I wouldnt have to leave work early to pick it up. Ill definitely be back!

Seemed professional, but quoted astronomical price for TPMS sensors.For the record: I had 4 tires mounted, balanced, and 4 new generic TPMS sensors installed and programmed for $10 more than the price quoted for 1 TPMS sensor installed. Their price is reasonable for an OEM sensor.

Good, friendly service and quick work, but a bit expensive for simple services. Came here to change to winter tires, and ended up paying twice as much as we would have at a bigger chain. Theyre obviously skilled mechanics, but for routine services like tire rotation, we might look elsewhere in the future.

Got another fine for expired inspection sticker. :^)Drove here to get an inspection on the next day, Oct 1. Glad I got there early in the afternoon. The whole process took about 1 hour and 15 minutes (there was 1 car ahead of me), and more people coming in to get their cars inspected. Front desk was friendly. See you next year..... ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Great local business. I purchased winter tires from them in November, and they stored my summer tires until just recently, when they reached out to remind me it was time to put them back on. Services were rendered both times with swiftness, professionalism, and clarity (which I definitely appreciate as someone who know near nothing about cars).

I came across this establishment after leaving a prior business that appeared to be doing more than an inspection within the bay. This was my first time visiting Dorchester Tire and was easy to find. When I first walked in the atmosphere was pleasant and the staff were professional and eager to assist me. Loved the customer waiting area as previously I would idle in a line for an inspection sticker. I only wish I knew Dorchester Tire was just a stones throw away from where I usually have my inspections done. Even though its just once a year, I have found the perfect place for the annual service that I need. I am impressed with how they inform you of an expected wait time. For example, a simple there are two cars ahead of you, gives you an idea of how long your wait may be. My inspection went smoothly and swift. While observing the establishment, I was also impressed with how clean (organized) the bays were for each service. I can actually see the floor! I would definitely recommend Dorchester Tire for inspection services, as at the time it was the only service I required.

Gary was very responsive via email about some new tires. I was able to get them installed the next day and in under one hour. They even fixed a small issue I was having with the heat shield and didnt charge me for it. AND Gary told me about a $70 rebate for the tires I bought. So nice! Great service as usual. Had tires, brakes and rotors done for less than the dealer. They let us know which was more important to take care of because of budget reasons. Way better than the dealerships and have never tried to upsell me before. I have been going here for years and will reccommend them to anyone.

Honest, friendly people. They were quick to help and came out right to my car when I arrived to check on my rim after a blown out tire on the highway. They told me that we were next and welcomed us to some delicious coffee while we wait.I honestly thought I annoyed them after calling three times after I found out the night before that my car was vandalized, but they still treated me like a first-class client. Were honest enough to tell me I didn’t need a new rim and didn’t trick me into buying anything I didn’t need. During these past several months, I thought my other tires were also bad so I almost considered replacing all of them, but they were again honest enough to tell me I had “plenty of life on my tires”. They charged me a tremendous price (good!) for both the new tire and the labor included to not only install, but also to rebalance my wheel after my rim took a beating. Price of everything combined is cheaper than the cost of a new tire at most places!These are good, honest people with great customer service, and I’m glad Dorchester has high-quality, friendly, yet modestly priced businesses like these, as a fairly new resident of Dorchester.It can get busy on Saturdays because of their great reputation, but they work fast!Cheap, reasonable prices and they knew my budget. Gave me affordable solutions to my problems knowing my fresh-out-of-college budget. Really good people.Definitely coming again sometime!

Excellent service where you can restore old tires and buy new ones!

I brought my car in to have all four of my tires replaced back in the spring. They said the lugs were stripped from a previous mechanic doing work on the my car and my car had to stay over night so they could get the parts to fix it. I had to get a rent to car so I wouldn’t miss work. They didn’t fix the problem and I had to have it redone by someone more qualified. Buyer beware even with the nice guy running the front office. He is a sales man and will lie to you.

Ive been going for a couple of years now. They store my tires there off season which is a huge convenience. They are very busy because they are good. Great service!!!

I went down the street to AAA AUTO TECH (horrible) who wanted to charge me $59.99 to reprogram my tires, went to get a second opinion from Dorchester Tire Services and they were able to fix my simple problems for free ( which took seconds due to their knowledgeable team) and also advised me that my rear tires needed some changing.. great team, I truly can say they know what they are talking about!

I came here because of all the good reviews and have to admit theyre all spot on. I got great assistance from the moment I walked in. The situation I had turned out to be one that requires a different approach than they could take at that moment (an issue with the previous owner of my car, not with the shop), but Im definitely coming back here when I need new tires in a few months. They gave me a quote, explained options, and were more knowledgeable than any shop I think Ive ever been to.

Courteous and prompt service. I am very happy with Dorchester Tire. Since I work down the street, I was able to leave my damaged tire with them to patch while I went to work, then returned later in the day when they very quickly put the tire back on. These folks are the best in the biz especially if you are living south of the city they are conveniently off of 93. Really friendly staff, they are willing to work with their customers as opposed to trying to give them an ultimatum and rip them off. Turns out I didnt need service at this place, since my rim was dented and unable to be repaired by them, so instead of making me replace it right there, they sent me to a different company to get it fixed. They are good, honest, and caring, and run a fine operation.

Aside from the speed and quality of their work (which is remarkable), the best part about Dorchester Tire is that they come by honestly and make you feel valued as a customer. The customer service here is amazing! I was helped by Pat and he was extremely friendly and he was very upfront and clear about the service they provided. Dorchester Tire has no-bull no run around culture. it just feels like you are getting the best service for your money. I have been to other companies, and they all try to up-sell their products on customers which can be tricky for customers who do not know any better. Each service associate truly tries their best to get the best tire or service that the individual customer needs.

Pat explained to me & my father the multiple reasons that causes the tire symbol to come on. He also shared the different price points depending on the problem. It turned out that it was a sensor problem. As a female, who doesn’t know much about cars, I found his explanation “honest & customer friendly.” It’s important to me since it’s not uncommon for females to be duped at auto shops. Best shop in Dorchester. Honest guys who treat you fairly. On multiple occasions, theyve saved me hundreds of dollars. They dont do unnecessary work, they dont overcharge, and they work fast.
