I came here for state inspection, their employee misplaced my remote key during the inspection, they left the key to another similar car, that means they lost my key. They will not admit their mistake, they used my spare key left in the coffee cup holder to finish the inspection, they will not admit that they took my first key, will not take responsibility for compensating the lost of my key. This is very bad business practice, it’s not my fault that they lost my key, now that I have to pay $120 to get a cheap OEM key. Now what? This is a bad business, I just want to warning you guys be aware to deal this shop with other repair, you will get ripped off by their business nature.

We went here mostly for convenience but it turned out they were able to quote us far below our usual place, and have the work done in one day. A father and son team, they take pride in their work and a caring experience for the customer.

Ive brought my car here for everything - brake pads, oil change, inspection sticker, tire pressure check, the infamous my car is making a weird noise but I dont know what is wrong with it...you name it. The prices are fair, they dont try to BS you, the customer service is great, and theres quick turnaround. I highly recommend this place!

How to Start, from the moment I get on the lot I am treated like family.. The Manager Justin Alder Greeted me and said welcome to Muffler mart.. He asked how can I how you today. I told him I have this 2009 Nissan Maxima that’s been sitting in my yard for 5 years and now I am ready to put it back on the road.. I asked Justin, fix whatever you can, fix everything on the dash and put in a new alternator so they did that, there too mechanic Robert T, worked on it personally I truly felt honored, because he does the big job there..Robert T got everything fixed before the end of the day, man I am telling you once you go down to muffler mart you will leave with a smile like I did.. I will continue to use muffler mart forever ..

Justin and the guys at Muffler Mart are awesome. You can trust him for an accurate assessment and honest estimate. This most recent time I went in mysterious rattle that turned out to be a wonky heat shield. Justin didnt charge me a thing, even though I couldnt pick up my car until the next day. Nice guys in the auto repair industry are a tough thing to find!

I’m so so disappointed and surprised. I brought my car to Muffler Mart last Friday to get a diagnostic and oil change. When I picked up my car a few hours later that day, I asked was there anything else possibly wrong with the car, and I was assured that my car was in top condition. I drove my car to Worcester Mass a few hours later, and while driving home my car stopped on the fast lane on the highway. I had to get my car towed back to Worcester at 11 PM, and I contacted Muffler Mart the next day to try to figure things out. I was told that this was a “tricky situation”, and there was “nothing they can do about it”. We even had two other mechanics consult us about the car, and MM wanted to hear none of it. My mom and I have been coming here for YEARS, recommending their services to our family and friends, literally faithful customers. I don’t appreciate this treatment at all, and we are planing on taking taking legal actions.

I only came to get an inspection. They were a little busy but I still didnt have to wait long at all, and everyone I spoke to was friendly and professional.

These are amateur mechanics. I reported my car had a problem in the front end. They claimed they inspected although the noise got worse and emerged as a bad control arm. They also put my full size spare on the car which was of unknown age, and said they would charge me for rotating the tires in order to put it back on. They also charged over $100 just to change a fuse which I had already diagnosed for them. Dont waste your time or money.

I was traveling to Boston from NY to view colleges with my son. My alternator failed in front of North Eastern University. I managed to make it to muffler mart by chanceI walked in and spoke to Justin the owner ... explaining I was in a bind as we needed to drive back to NY and needed an alternator .It was a 95 degree day in July and 1 in the afternoon, he closes at 4:30.He said “ I will do my best but I can’t guarantee it”.He got the part and put 2 men on it. We were on our way by 4:25.Never ever have I seen that level of service for someone you likely will not see as a repeat customer.A True professional and a genuinely good personThanks Justin

These guys were great, had an intermittent check engine light that kept coming on, finally while in area decided to stop in here at muffler mart, Was just hoping to get a diagnosis of what was wrong, they quickly diagnosed the problem. Spoke with justin about the problem he named a few things it could be, but he was very confident it was the runner flap sensor for my 2014 vw passat. He had the part i needed in stock. Got car diagnosed, fixed and was out of there in an hour. Happy with the cost of the repair as well, less than what I expected since they did do a thorough diagnosis prior to the repair.My car has been running great and the check engine light has been off!! Thanks again guys!!

Went here because I was told that my exhaust manifold needed to be replaced ($1000 repair) by another mechanic in order for inspection to pass. This diagnosis was based only on a small rattly sound coming from engine area. Went to Muffler Mart for a second opinion - they were friendly and helpful and they offered a free diagnostic/estimate that same day. They did a smoke/pressure test on the whole exhaust system (which to me, makes sense to definitively diagnose where an exhaust leak is coming from), and didnt see any leaks from where the manifold is (or anywhere else). I was very appreciative of their honesty and was able to get a clean inspection without any unnecessary repairs.

Try to avoid this auto repair shop. Recently I changed the muffler of my car, after that I started hearing a loud sound like two-piece colliding each other. I took my car back to him to check what is the problem. He checked and told me it is from catalyst converter and there is no sound from muffler he had changed. I roam around with the car a little bit and the sound that I was hearing last night was disappeared. I thought to get the second opinion from another mechanics, there I get to know that he wrongly fitted the muffler and that is why the sound was coming. And to stop that he put a rubber tube in the second visit about which I was unaware. He could easily repair that problem, but, choose to misrepresent the situation. Not only that the work with muffler also pretty bad. Welding was done carelessly and to makeup the leakage in welding he did some patchwork there. Now I am fixing those problems with different mechanics.

I have three vehicles and bring them all to Muffler Mart. Justin and the team are honest, do great work at VERY reasonable rates. I highly recommend MM, and being right next to the train station, it makes it very easy to get to/from work in town.

I was disappointed the truck share feature that the online registration allowed me to choose didn’t work, but these guys got me in my van quickly. Had a wonderful experience with Muffler Mart while renting a trailer to move from MA to FL- very military friendly. The sales rep that helped us out was exceptionally professional and was out front waiting with the trailer I had rented. This resulted in a quick exchange, allowing my move to continue without any problems. Even after I had departed MA, I received a follow-up check call to ensure that everything was going well on my trip south. Very pleased with the service here, and will definitely go to these professionals if I ever find myself in need of moving in the Boston area again.

This place apparently SCAMMED me?! BIG TIME! FOR $4,756.57 (for a u-haul rental for 7 hours)! Explanation below:So yeah, I rented a u-haul from this place. People working there seemed nice, truck was nice (and new), I used it for 7 hours and put around 20 miles on it. The problem: The next day I get a charge in my bank account, from u-haul, for $4,756.57!!!!!!!!! I read the receipt they emailed to me and it claimed that I went 3,168 miles.... in 7 hours! That means I would have had to be driving 452 MPH for 7 HOURS STRAIGHT! Its a u-haul, not a rocket car!Worse still: They never contacted me to tell me about this charge or anything. Nothing.WHATS MORE: I contact u-haul and they tell me that I already received a refund IN CASH! WHICH I OBVIOUSLY DIDNT! I dont even think any place would keep that much cash in a register! Or what I guess happened is that they CLAIMED that they gave me a cash refund and just pocketed it all.Ive been in contact with u-haul who at first, closed this case because they showed I got a cash refund but have now re-opened the case. Still waiting to hear back from someone there but I mean this has already hit my account. Im getting charged late fees on stuff and bank fees because of this whole mess and that wont be compensated at all of course.Its a mess... its a huge mess.. and I feel like Ive been scammed here. Idk if Im going to have to charge back through my bank or higher a lawyer or what but... this is a nightmare. This is truly a horrible nightmare.

Ive been to this place a few times mostly for oil changes and sticker inspection they were perfect. I had one other mechanic job done to replace a sensor that went fine. Even though i was told by other mechanics i was charged too much. Most recently last week i took my car there to have them check my battery and alternator due to car not starting, i even had autozone test my battery and they said it was fine.But when i took it to Muffler mart told them the battery tested fine. They come back that they tested both battery and alternator along with other things needed to be done ( clearly trying to get money) Justin told me I needed to replace my battery. Ok so $214 dollars later 2 day later car is giving me same issue with starting and its making noise. Take it back and after waiting an hour or more Justin gives me a print out with codes. Tells me there is a recall I need to contact the dealer. Reached out to Chevy and a friend of mines who works at Chevy ran my vin and said there is no recall. But wait i must mention when I was leaving I had to ask where my car was located, please tell me why is was hidden in the gate where the uhauls are parked up against a fence. I had to climb in by a bush to get in drivers seat. I also had my 6yr old son with me. Clearly they didnt even check my car. As of today my issue has not been resolved. I refuse to go back to Muffler Mart and will also advise my other friends not to return.They have not heard the last of me.

I wouldnt believe the bad reviews on this place. Ive been here for both Uhaul and car repair and have had nothing but good experience. The Uhaul rental I did last minute because my dads car died and couldnt help me move. I rented the car for a day and a half and price came to exactly what it was. I even dropped the car off after hours without any issue. This was in August of 2018. Recently my car stopped starting and stalling out. Went to this place and he did a free diagnostic when my dad said it was a starter he wanted replaced. The owner said the starter was not the problem and he didnt want to replace it if it wasnt the issue. He was also honest about not knowing entirely what the problem was and not wanting to replace parts without being certain the issue just yet (our car is old and very tempermental). He said to call next time it happened and hed give it another look. Happened again this time ended up being the alternator which he fixed with no problem. We quoted everything before doing what he did. He even called promptly after the car being dropped off what he was doing and the exact price. The owner was extremely patient with a very frustrated and stressed father of mine. He made the whole ordeal better and I would go again to this place. The staff is sweet and polite even when we can by when it just closed.

The ONLY place I take my cars to is definitely Muffler Mart. It is such a pleasure dealing with this awesome Father-Son duo . Theyre honest, knowledgeable and most of all, not greedy. Kudos to them.

Great place to get your car fixed and rent U-Haul

Ive had multiple bad experiences with muffler mart. First, a friend once rented a U-Haul from there and when he tried to return it he called and let them know he was going to be late. They forgot to tell somebody and long story short they called the cops on him saying he stole the trailer. Note, he and his family were long time customers of Muffler Mart. They go elsewhere now. Second and third, I try to do a lot of work on my jeep myself to save money and learn something. Whenever I need a small (drill a hole in a piece of metal small) job done that I cant do my self I used to go here. They charge an arm and a leg for it.Worst of all they make up their prices on the spot. They dont charge by time or materials they litearlly make up the prices. Ive asked for their hourly rate or some sort of price sheet and the guy there told me No we dont have those I just make up the prices per customer.If you need somewhere close to go check out New England Brake Center right down the road.

Probably the best diagnostician around -- I was referred to this place about 2 years ago by a good friend; my then 10-yr old Lexus had developed an ac problem during the dog days of August. Two other places recommended very expensive systemic remedies; Seth suggested we first try a diagnostic procedure that sometimes resolves the problem - but if it doesnt, it does provide a precise reason.. Result was the technique worked like a charm for very short money. ... & Ive been bringing both our cars to him ever since.

Justin was incredibly kind and helpful, making sure we knew everything we needed to know before we left and telling us about nearby gas stations. Moving isnt fun, but Muffler Mart definitely helped make it easier. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to rent a Uhaul.

After this whole thing youre about to read, I went to a real deal. I got a new job done, and the job they messed up fixed for 125.Now, read this; I went in with with part and was told that they could do it but did not have price till next day. I got a call but not for pricing but to promptly pay 125 dollars and was asked to pay 125 more to simply roll window up, because they could not close it all way up, but I brought the window up!!!. 125? -yeah ok- They never called me to find out if I was ok with pricing or not. Well the part was installed leaving me with a new issue that was created by them. Guy said, I took a chance on this one but we do this type of work all the time. I said, then if you do this work, whats the chance you talking about? I didnt force anyone to do it. I politely asked if you could. I got no answer to that. Price was reduced after a diplomatic conversation with J. Conversation which allowed me to fully understand the lack of work ethic and professionalism. Fare pricing should not be the quote. I regret the fact that I wont go back not even for inspection, because they might retaliate by R my car without a reason I did pay final total to move on. I was even giving them an 10-15 dollars as gratitude for previous jobs but they dont care about that man. Great smooth talk to then find out that youre knee deep in BS. Too bad because I wanted them to be my shop. Now I will move to another shop even for inspection. Thats it.Thanks JTake care!

I came well before opening. No other cars were there. I was told when they finally open that someone else was there before me. I asked where their car was and how come I didnt see them. I was told they were parked on the side street. They let someone they know cut in front of me.

They charged me to do a diagnosis on my car and said it was a chip problem. I drove 5hours out on there recommendation that it was good and my car broke down. They didnt care I was stranded and never called me back.

The only reason why I’m giving one star is because I give zero. These people are theives, there is no other way to describe them. They created a problem with my car and refuse to fix or give an refund. I am in process of contacting which ever consumer boards that can help. Horrible screaming theives!!!!

AVOID THIS BUSINESS LIKE THE PLAGUE. They are irresponsible at best and scheisty at worst.Ive noticed a suspicious tone to most reviews on this companys yelp page. People either give them 5 stars or 1. Id be willing to wager that the good reviews are friends of the owners and the bad reviews are actually being honest. I live a few blocks from this garage and I have not once seen even a single clue that anyone even shows up from day to day.I reserved a UHaul here today for 2PM. I even showed up early at around 1:30 PM. The doors were locked tight and there wasnt a soul in the building. I knocked loud enough to wake the dead but no one answered. Im now soaked from the rain, standing here, changing my reservation to a UHaul location that is two train rides plus a 10 minute walk away.Originally, I took a short break from work to grab this UHaul. However, since they werent there to check the van out to me, I had to reserve a UHaul at a different location which cost me the whole day of work. I cant understand how they even make enough money to keep this location open. They need to lose their UHaul certification FAST.Also, be extra careful with this place because no matter how in satisfied you are with them, UHaul cannot reimburse you because they arent technically an official UHaul location.On top of all of this, they tend to overcharge for gas, lie about the state the vans are returned in, and lie about mileage just so they can charge more.

Please never use this place fr uhaul services. i went there to pick up a uhaul and they cancelled my reservation for no good reason. i asked them why and they said that there was a problem their system that removed my scheduled and put another customer in my place. THAT DOESNT MAKE SENSE!!!
