Great place with big veriaity of meats!They literally have everything! All types of meat, pork or chicken parts.This is the only place around my house, which I was able to find in a pork shoulder for my pulled pork. I was amazed by the big selection and the food quality. I bought picania, rib eyes steaks, pork shoulder, baby pork ribs and what not.. Im coming back soon for sure, and this is my new place to buy meats!

We like Western Beef, and do lot shopping over, vegetables fruits great variety just like to info you guys 2 days ago went shopping and I got on yr bakery department bread already rapped, butter and garlic, I picked up the last one available, (I loved the others bread too), was on the basket as we got home, warmed up and eat just a piece my husband and I. that was the only thing we had on the afternoon, during the night my husband and I were very sick I mean really sick, with stomach, nausea, dizziness spells because I guess we were intoxicated something was not good with the bread. Just to let you know in order to check up if was something wrong with that bread. We spent all night and day yesterday home, very sick. Today we are feeling little better. I guess the butter was spoiled dont know thats my feeling.

Overall I had a very positive experience at Western Beef beginning with visually appealing shelves and having product arranged so as to have an overflowing look which was very appealing to the consumer. The staff were friendly and helpful.It really brought joy to my heart, being from the Northeast where there are western beef stores in New York to come down here to Florida and find some of the products that I used to use available.The store was clean and product readily accessible.I definitely would recommend this location to anyone looking for a quality supermarket.

Used to have the best freshly baked bread. Not anymore. Many times the loaves are flat and dense like they did not give the dough a chance to rise properly. Also alot of flour on the bottoms adding to the dryness and density. Gave it another try last week. Wont be returning for bread or anything else since they are generally pricey otherwise

This is an amazing Supermarket! Fresh produce, An amazing fish departament, not ridiculous prices, great deli, and a fantastic beef section! Just bring your jacket as they chill the beef section... its basically a walk in freezer! I highly recommend this place as you get great service too!

Really unpleasant experience of bad deli meats and bad staff.My experience seems consistent with the other reviews here about Miguel the horrible manager, and rotted meats:I buy some deli turkey from here that was bad when I opened it when I got home. I went to the store the next day to return it to get my money back. The woman Nilda at the exchange counter was weirdly rude and patronizing to me saying things like Hunny I already told you... when she hadnt listened to me that I just bought the turkey yesterday, and I pointed to the sign right beneath her saying produce had a two-day return period she wasnt honoring. She said well if you lost your receipt we dont know when you got it. I pointed out to her calmly that she was the one who sold it to me just the day before, and then I pointed to the camera aimed at us and reminding her that I was on camera buying it and that the turkey obviously came from the store as it was the stores branded product.Miguel the manager comes over. After fruitless discussion, Miguel actually starts to accuse me of letting the turkey go bad on the drive home, by asking me how long is your drive here?. When I explain to him that I put my food like turkey and ice cream in a cooler packed with ice on the drive home, he amazingly reiterates to me that I let the turkey go bad in a 12 minute drive home in the sun, even though I had just told him it travels in an ice cooler. When I told him that made no sense of course, he weirdly started saying you seem like a guy who knows all the little tricks as though I was scamming the store for $3 asking for my money back on bad deli meat that I didnt even eat.

Prices have increased too much. Not worth visiting anymore. The spinach I used to buy has doubled in price and so have many other items. Not to mention, even with the higher prices, the items haven’t improved in quality. I recommend spending your money elsewhere, at this point they’re taking an advantage of their customers.

Theres no posting that states the butcher is unavailable at certain times so I stood in that meat locker, freezing for 15 mins until the man behind the fish counter said I dont know, maybe hell be back around 6pm. I was there at 5pm and really couldnt wait or come back.

We bought some New York Cheesecake (4 pre sliced pieces) Unfortunately it was absolutely horrible. Tasted old. Just be leary of pre-packaged foods there. Otherwise we like shopping there (meat, bread, produce are good)

Grocery prices have increased so much in the past year, Western keeps those increases reasonable so it can fit my budget.

Good prices for veggies and fruits, but most of it is not organic.They have tons of stuff that southern american would like, including several options of dulce de Leche (Argentinian).There are Italian pasta (dried and frozen), cookies, chocolate, soft drinks, cans, beans.Overall, a very good store.

Got fresh cold cuts and nice meats. The fresh baked bread has not been up to standards for months always find it empty.

I love the prices and the people. I would give it 5 stars, BUT they lack paper bags and will give you plastic bags even if you buy one item. They should ask if you want any bags or not.

I like Western Beef because they carry a lot of unique imported goods from all around the world. Prices are all over the place and you have to wander the Isles. They sometimes try to fool shoppers with their bright sales stickers and when you lift them up, youre gonna find out that theres no discount. Shoo around and find the good deals. ALDI is way better quality and pricing 👌

So this is a funny but irritating event that happened to me tonight. My wife went shopping and forgot one of the items at the register. She didnt realize it until she got home. The cod fish that she purchased at Western Beef to make the ceviche was left at the checkout.I called and sure enough, they had the missing fish and they told me it would be back where they sell the fish. I got to the store about ten minutes later, went to the department and requested the fish. The man double-bagged it in a clear plastic bag and I left.As I was pulling out of my parking place, a very large woman and a young guy who worked at the store were walking swiftly toward my car, blocking my path so I couldnt exit. They were summoning me to open my car window as they blocked my exit. The woman, with an accusatory scowl on her face proceeded to accuse me of stealing the fish. I handed her the receipt and told her that my wife had forgotten the fish and we had already paid for it. I explained that I dont steal fish and I didnt steal the BMW Im driving either.

Attn store manager!! What happen to this store? I used to buy all my food there. visiting at least 2 times a week. Since the pandemic began your store has steadily gone down hill. The meat looks terrible. the produce rotting on the shelf. The bread looks different. AND the prices has skyrocketed. Not to mention everytime I shop there one or two items on sale dont reflect the sales price at the register. PLEASE PLEASE return this store to its former glory. It USED TO BE the best store in town. I like this place. Nothing fancy mind you, but interesting items not found in major grocery store chains. Their prices are very reasonable. Well stocked produce that all appeared to be fresh. A very cool (and I mean that literally) meat area located in a freezer you walk into that carries an extensive assortment of beef, chicken, pork and veal. They’ll even grind any piece of meat you purchase for free. Their fish department should be expanded as their choices are limited. Their bakery is surprisingly good. They bake their breads and rolls right there on the premises and boy they do it very well. Their deli department carries my favorite brand, Boar’s Head. They’re not the fastest at serving the waiting customers and it can get feisty at times around the counter. Think you’ll enjoy shopping here, really do.

I went for an after lunch desert... So I only perused the sodas and bakery... I liked the Jamaican or country club bottle choice....i chose Jamaican to escape coke......they have old fashioned loaves of bread so I didnt feel like my whole budget had crashed all other visionaries besides fordism for corporatism.... I would go back for a larger shopping trip...

Bought a pork picnic roast. I was going to make barbecue. I opened the package and it smelled so foul. The only thing I can compare the smell to is a deer carcass that was killed by a car and was by the side of the road for a few weeks. I returned it to the store for a refund but no apology from the manager. He just looked down without a word. I wont buy meat there anymore.

This place is not the place to buy any meat or anything else for that matter they are extremely expensive and they do not price match. I went in to buy a brisket and they only had choice not prime and they wanted $150 that’s literally 3 times what you should pay you can go to sams club Walmart or Costco and get the same cut for $45 and get a prime for $60 just ridiculous there

Great Grocery Store. Fresh Meat, Chicken, Turkey and a Great Fresh Fish Dept. Ive bought Fish and Shell Fish from them numerous times and have always been happy with my purchases. There Fruit and vegetables are priced right too. Theyve also got a good bakery dept with Fresh Breads, Rolls and Pretzel Bread is constantly being put out. The Only Items I Do Wish They Would Carry is KOSHER ITEMS, Especially Kosher for Passover Items. They are the Only Supermarket that Doesnt Carry Any Passover Items and I Dont Understand as to Why the Dont. Maybe They Will Start After Reading This. Other than that, its a pretty good Store. They have handicapped parking near the Store. Staff is Friendly and Helpful.

THIS PLACE IS HAS NO RESPECT!! Last time I came, my kid asked me for 50 cents for one of the little machines. And it didn’t work! So I told him to go tell that to a employee. First of the employee ignored him, didn’t listen to him, had no respect for him, and neither did he give back his money, nor did he give the toy. And this happened AGAIN today!! Gave him 50 cents, he went to the machine, and it gave him nothing. At least this employee tried to fix it, but just walked away without telling us they couldn’t do anything.. Horrible service. No respect. Would give it zero stars if I could.

Its a standard supermarket. The walk in the freezer room that the on-site butchers use is amazingly cold. The butcher does have a huge selection.

Bread section is the best about this supermarket. Sometimes good prices at the meat section. Rest of the supermarket is overpriced compared to the same category of supermarkets. They are also reluctant to apply the tag price on the shelf if it doesnt match the price at the cashier.

This place need to improve their employees people skills. My mother in law was doing some shopping from Instacart and the guy at the poultry section refused to give her what she asked and called her old lady. Sadly she left feeling so bad that didnt note the guys name. We are planning to go and look for the guy and speak with his manager.

I like shopping here a lot. The store is bright, clean, it has the largest fresh meat selection anywhere and prices are really, really good. I find many wines here that are lower priced than even Costco. Definitely beats Publix.

My first time there and it was great. The young man at the fish counter went beyond to take care of me as well as the young man at the register. I have found my new place to shop. Your prices were the best down here and am told your meats are the best and if it is true you have me as a forever customer.

This store is a necessity to my neighborhood. It carries items that I can find in no other place. The fruits and vegetables are always fresh and affordable. And THIS is the place to go for meat -- all kinds in a giant freezer. Western Beef is the place I find my Aloevine Aloe juice -- at a great price -- which is sold at no other market. And, oh! Fresh baked bread continuously being made throughout the day. I start to eat it on my way to the check out, its that good.

Fresh fruit, great fresh baked bread and good sale prices on meat but you have to pay attention to the per pound price on the meat as the package sometimes doesnt reflect the sale price. For example, the ribs were listed as $1.99 a lb but the package showed $3.99. I had to ask an associate to weigh it with the proper price. However the others were left there with the $3.99 price.

This place has the freshest meat in town. Im NEVER disappointed. We save the $5.00 off $35.00 meat purchase coupons and shop weekly. There is always a free item with $30.00 meat purchase. Today was a dozen eggs. Last Christmas the give away was 4lb bags of sugar.

Very dirty store. Not enough staff. Terrible customer service. Customers eating right out of the open olives display by meat deli,another customer handling breads without using tongs, eating breads and putting the bread back in cases with their dirty hands. I waited over 20 minutes to speak with the manager. Who I went looking for to report what I saw. His name was Miguel.Never going back there again!

The quality, variety, and prices of the produce and meats is unbeatable. A full array of oddball, hard-to-find, foreign, and exotic items. The only issues I have is with the customer service (especially on the phone), there isnt a self-checkout lane, and the cashiers are often rude and incompetent. If you can deal with that, which I can, then its a great place to shop

Especially good for cuts that are hard to find elsewhere - I like to make my chicken soup with the necks and I can buy them in large quantity there. Plus, their produce is cheaper then other markets and it is usually pretty decent.Deli prices are cheaper also.I would give them 5 stars but their canned goods and dairy prices are not great so, buy those elsewhere and then youll be good to go!!

Western beef is a discount chain of supermarkets that are mainly located in New York but they have two south Florida locations, one in lake Worth and this one in Boca Raton. In 1989 when Western beef was expanding they suffered from being associated with the Mafia which forced owner Peter Castellana, Jr. to dismiss his father from the business and limit growth.I happened to be shopping in the plaza and had never been in Western beef before so I decided to check them out. Walking in the door I was pleasantly surprised. The discount chain stores generally tend not to be very clean and have limited inventory but that is not the case here. Everything was bright and clean. They carry all of the traditional products you would expect to find in a grocery store and the prices seemed to be competitive. They have a nice bakery section and deli.The produce department was large and impressive. Everything was fresh and they had a lot of ethnic items that I have never heard of like white name, malanga lila, eddoes, and yuca wax. I ended up getting some strawberries, apples for 99 cents a pound, and lychee which is extremely hard to find.I was most interested in the meat department because my local supermarket has a very small selection and unless it is on sale the prices can be high. The meat department here is in a separate freezer room and I was not prepared for how cold it was. I could see my breath which I have not seen since I moved to Florida 20 years ago. It took me going in and out three times before I could finish shopping it. Definitely bring a winter coat if you are going to hang out in here. I ended up leaving with porter house steaks for $5.99 a pound and chicken breast for $2.99 a pound. They didnt have some other cuts of beef I was looking for but it was so cold I might have just missed them.The store looks like a good option if you need to find some not mainstream produce or you are looking to trim your grocery bill. Its a bit far from me so I probably wont be a regular shopper but if I was in the area I would definitely stop by. Next time Ill dress like winter is coming.

When I first started shopping there I thought it was great especially the deli which I still like the deli the roast beef is amazing. My only concern is I think the is filthy. Yes they have good prices on vegetables but they certainly are not a Publix

The best grocery store in West Boca they beat Costco, Publix, Walmart and whole foods with their prices in all of their fresh departments and throughout the store! They have an amazing variety of fresh cut meat, pork and poultry in a giant meat cooler the bakery department has Cuban bread here! The cold cuts are cheaper than Publix and their produce is better than whole foods this isnt the greatest looking grocery store but its a hidden gem its the main store I shop at with my wife and kids.

I used to go to this store to for my weekly shopping (specially fresh bread and meet). I still love the Bakery section (fresh and hot bread). I stopped going there due to the low quality produces. I noticed the meet freshness was gone couple of times consecutively. ( at least for the ones that i usually buy), so I decided to not buy meet and produces from them anymore, which made me stop going there. I uploaded some of the pictures i took from the meet.

Decent place, reasonable prices, many doscounted items. Extensive pantry selection; well stuffed meat section, freshly baked bread. Always fresh fruits and veggies. You get a $5 coupon for your next purchase of $50+.

Was waiting at the fish counter to buy some salmon today, but no one was getting waited on. There were 2 employees behind the counter ignoring the waiting customers and when 1 customer asked if he could get some service, the employee gave a snide remark. Not liking what transpired, I left the fish counter without ordering anything and proceeded to buy some fresh, homemade rolls. Passed on the rolls since they were hard as bricks. Itll be a while, if ever, before I find my way back to Western Beef.

Good deals and most people are helpful

Delicious deli and cut meat and well priced. Fresh produce not as good compared to other grocery stores (especially lettuce). Employees are always been personable, attentive, nice for the most part (everyone has a bad day, especially dealing with the public).

Very dirty, prices are low because of this but i have been told stories about the warehouse where they keep merchandise. We bought raw fish and got sick after eating it. Never went back after this.

Horrible. Never in my life have I stolen anything. They accused me of stealing water because they forgot to ring it up. So the cashier asked me to wait so she could ring it up. I was moving my cart to the side because she was ringing up someone else and the cashier told the bagger to watch me because I was leaving with the water without paying...... you messed up and you accuse me of stealing? Really? I put the water on the counter and walked out. I know this is just one person but because of people like that I will never be back.

I love this place sorry one veggies when my local j j farm closes for the off season. Best of all I love the butcher. Buy whats on sale that week, big lots, have them cut to your liking and freeze for the month or quarter. Cant beat filet for 6.99 or NY strip for 5.99 on sale. And the warm, just out of the oven Italian bread or bagette.. man, steaming hot... Paradise Lost just got found.

There was quite a lot of people in the store but theyre usually is. If you have to go to the meat department make sure that you take a jacket or sweater because its literally freezing in the meat section. The prices of the meats are very reasonable as are many of the other grocery items. However there are many other grocery items that are higher than you might find in Publix and especially Walmart. the womans restroom left a lot to be desired and. the handicapped stall was out of order. because I was alone at the time I do not know the condition of the mens restroom

The place when it has a sale is better then Penn Dutch and alway better then the major supermarkets. They are less expensive then Costco too. The main problem is the meat department is a freezer and so cold I bet they lose customers to Penn Dutch or the others that are not so cold. Check the sales and bring a coat.
