Very friendly staff. Place is clean and welcoming. Music is peaceful . I went in the morning and had a vegan frittata with peppers, spinach, and yum. With a hot tea .

Come and grab a bottomless cup and stay a while at The Pourhouse Cafe while you read, finish homework, or even hang out and talk amungst your friends all while spending your money to go towards various organizations at this nonprofit coffee house. The Pourhouse Cafe offers various different types of drinks including dairy free options. They also offer a variet of pastries and free wifi. Many seating options inside, fewer seating options outside.

When ordering a cappuccino and the barista asks, what size it leaves a puzzled look on your face. You then get a gallon of milk with your single shot. Hmm. Atmosphere is super welcoming though and the menu is extensive enough to warrant another try.

This was one of my favorite places to hangout and study in college. The coffee is great, and I also love the peanut butter banana smoothie and the vegetarian quiche. They also donate their tips to charity—often to local charities that are important to me. It can sometimes be hard to find a seat when it is crowded, but in the past year they have expanded and added more seating areas. This is probably my favorite coffee shop in Bloomington.

Lovely local Internet cafe. Small snack menu: baked goods; daily sandwich specials. Coffees, teas, and a few cold drinks. Jazzy music. Dimmed lighting. Its unique as its a nonprofit business. Apparently profits are given to charities. Nice spot for checking emails with a good drink to sip.

Theyve got pretty okay coffee, Id say probably a step above Starbucks. Just a single step. Very great atmosphere, great for conversation and working on stuff. The community here is pretty cool, if you sit next to someone, chances are you can strike up a conversation with them. Definitely reccomend next time you want to chill out or get something done

We were meandering around the streets of Bloomington and desired a coffee stop...this was a great one! The service was friendly, coffee was smooth with many options available, and the proceeds and tips go to global and local charities! Great concept as they are really “pouring goodness” into the world. Would definitely go here again! The variety of seating and spacious location gave us a very comfy vibe as we enjoyed a variety of lattes!

Great place to stop if youre in town. They have great coffee, make excellent pastries, and have a comfy atmosphere. Both the cinnamon bun and the chocolate chip cookie were delicious.

This is a unique cafe, who are ethically and morally responsible. They contribute to different charities every month! Good place to hang out or study. They have lot of sitting space. Also free WiFi. Though, in the weekends you might have to roam around a bit to find a place to sit.

A nice place to grab a cup of coffee and socialize or even get some work done. The adjacent space is open and quiet as well as very conducive for casual conversations, long work sessions, or even just a break from everything. Definitely glad to have been taken here by some local friends.

The food and drinks are great here and the atmosphere is even better. Reminds me a lot of the Bourgeois Cafe in Lincoln Park, Chicago - same vibe.They give back to communities worldwide which I love. Very unique and un- corporate - a big meeting place for faculty staff and studying for students.

In my personal opinion, the best cafe for studying in Bloomington! Good prices, perfect ambience for studying, and lots of space so that you can find your perfect spot! Additionally, the pastries and bagels are top notch and reasonably priced. I wouldnt come here to meet up with a friend to socialize, but it is perfect for study groups or doing homework.

I love the atmosphere. The baristas are always super sweet. And you get coffee plus you can donate to a good cause. Their cinnamon rolls are completely worth $2.99, they are huge and very tasty! Its a great place to relax.

Love PoHo. It’s a great space for studying or hanging out, either in groups or solo. Their quiches are amazing, as well as their drinks. Service is always quick and friendly as well.

I love the PourHouse. I believe it to be the best coffee shop in Bloomington. The coffee is always great, the shop itself is gorgeous, comfortable, well kept, and always clean. The staff arent terribly friendly but they do their jobs well so I have no complaints.Each time I go in it seems like theyve redecorated something which is always fun and I love that tips go to charities.

Always crowded because its cute and has lots of seating. Their highlander coffee smells like heaven. My partner drinks it. Even though I dont like coffee, I just absolutely crave the smell of this caramel-sweet scent!

For my money, this place makes the very best coffee in Bloomington.Added bonus: the restaurant pays employees a living wage and donates tips to countries or areas experiencing hardship, e.g. tornado recovery in Moore, OK, building water wells in Africa, assisting with food relief in Haiti, etc.

The coffee is good. Tips support charities. The food is good, but it takes real-l-l-y long to get it. Dont be surprised if youve already sucked down your beverage before its ready.

This place was quick and was not crowded, but the coffee does not compare to other places in town.

Cozy spot to get a well brewed drink and grind away on some work

Pourhouse Cafe has, by far, some of the best quality coffee in Bloomington. They offer relatively fast service, even when the line reaches the door. The staff are super friendly, and always happy to answer any questions you might have. They are an establishment that contributes locally and to many non-profit organizations, so I always feel wonderful about giving them my support and money. Pourhouse Cafe also has a large amount of space to sit and drink ones beverage peacefully, sit and meet up with some friends or colleagues, or settle in for a few hours to do work or write. There are both areas to sit next to walls which are windows (i.e., the seats are well-lit), and areas that are darker, if youre into the cozy cafe atmosphere. If I were to change one thing about Pourhouse Cafe, I would say that it would beneficial if they had more outlets/surge protectors spread around the cafe, as it can be difficult to find a good spot to work if you dont arrive with a full charge on your computer, if that is your work instrument of choice. There are many tables and chairs which are close to outlets, but not every one has access. However, since I would only dock them around 0.25 of a star for that small inconvenience, they get the full 5 stars, as they are one of my favorite cafes in town.

Coffee for a cause. The dark roasts they have are excellent.The red pepper and feta quiche could have been better, but thats likely on me: eating breakfast food at 6 PM. Their cinnamon rolls are always good.

One of my favorite local coffee shops. The actual quality of coffee is my favorite and the environment is good too! Sometimes it gets really crowded and the seating can be hard to find, but it is a pretty big space.

Fair warning there are usually homeless people in there asking for money and acting neurotic. It has great coffee and would be a great place to study otherwise.

My absolute favorite coffee shop in Bloomington. The coffee and food are delicious, and the atmosphere is great for getting work done. However, if you want to visit with a friend, the atmosphere is great for that too.

Want to like this place but cant get past the mediocre coffee. Watery mocha with minimal coffee flavor. Almost $5 for 16 ounces, and cant hold a candle to Soma, which is just around the corner. But I suppose thats why theres a line out the door at Soma and no wait here. Plus, this place has functioning air conditioning, which definitely counts for something, at least for the next month. Certainly a more inviting space than Soma, but if youre all about the coffee I recommend traveling the extra 20 paces for the good stuff.
