We were drawn to try Hopscotch by the aesthetic building and pictures on Instagram. It was a little disappointing to arrive and realize we were not actually able to step foot inside and had to instead order at the door. Our drinks were brought out to the table outside. We definitely appreciate the safety measures, but it probably could have been set up differently to still give the guest a full experience. We ordered a nitro cold brew and an oat milk chai latte. Both were pretty good!

The To go in the name should have told me this but there are no tables so dont plan to have a lounge experience. that being said the specials are incredible and they have a great variety of drinks and accessories for a stop so small. Cute inside and out.

Milky lattes & employees that gaslight customers.Avoid if you have experienced any type of trauma or have PTSD. Hopscotch is not a safe space for you. They condone gaslighting.

The only way this coffee shop could be better is if it offered a place to sit and sip inside. Cheerful, hip and friendly feeling and the best almond milk latte I’ve ever had.

I’m 18 and never written a bad review, but this was bad. The staff was very mean and seemed like they didn’t want to be there. Then they proceed to put the cups on the table with the lids on the drink but not cinched on so the drink spilt everywhere. Go to crumble much better. They were much kinder and more hospitable.

Yum! Jack-o-lanterna latte was fall spice and nice!

Been to both locations now and havent been disappointed to date. I always look forward to Hopscotch when visiting Bloomington!

Great local coffeeshop, with very friendly service and community-orientation. I first came across them in the line to vote (they are located across the voting center for Monroe County). They were serving coffee to the people queuing to vote for free and the coffee was very good. I returned there to get some coffee with a gift card I had received. They could not make their system take the gift card so they comped the coffee (again, delicious). Since that time, I have returned there whenever I am around that area. Good coffee, caring people, what else can one ask for?

All the same coffees and baked goods as the main location on Dodds St. but in a convenient downtown location. My usual stop before browsing the farmers market across the street on Saturday mornings.TL;DR - excellent coffee and espresso drinks

This Hopscotch outpost is within walking distance of my shop so I end up grabbing coffee here quite often.Friendly, knowledgeable staff.Good cookies and sweets from Rainbow Bakery if I need a bigger buzz.In a city of many, many coffee shops, Hopscotch is a great one. Keep it up!

This is the best latte Ive had in Indiana period. It is a shame that you cant sit inside right now, especially since its starting to get cold outside. However, just the quality of the drink is worth it.

Nice place to pop in and get some coffee especially during the farmers market that happens just across the street. Hopscotchs coffee is pretty decent, Ive never had a really bad cup there.

I work at a coffee shop in Washington state and in the past have roasted too. Two days ago I had a wonderful customer of mine bring me a bag of your Honduran light roast. That was the most brilliantly joyful coffee Ive had the pleasure of having in awhile. The aroma and fragrance of sweet strawberries and watermelon blew me away. On top of that, it translated in the taste! My husband, who doesnt drink coffee, even enjoyed a cup with me this morning. Whoever helped Joann with picking that coffee out for me, thank you. I hope nothing but the best for you guys! Keep on keepin on!

Its All In The Beans ...... and Hopscotch definitely owns the technique for roasting. Since being introduced to them I have tried 3 different roasts and each one has been equal to or better than the one prior!Regardless if you are a coffee connoisseur or not, youll love their product.

Absolutely fantastic coffee, with extremely reasonable prices! I’m always greeted with a smile here, and anyone working is very pleasant and knowledgeable. If you grind your own beans, this is the place to go. They also sell some cool burlap sacks. Best coffee in Bloomington, hands down.

I wanted to write a hipster review of this coffee shop but I cant do that because this coffee was wonderful. I orderd a hot coffee at 1pm on a 80% humidity day in August and absolutely loved it. I am now completely refreshed and enjoying my sad, pathetic, miserable life. This coffee shop was everything I needed today that I did not know about. Thank you small coffee shop for your great coffee. #im loving it

If coffee-loving friends are in town, Hopscotch is where I take them. I took one friend to the southside Hopscotch in the morning, and then he asked if I could swing him by again on his way out of town later that day.

The staff is generally unfriendly and the coffee doesnt seem fresh. I give weekly repeated business and I feel like an outsider there every time I walk in.

If you havent tried Hopscotch Coffee, Id say its the best in Bloomington. The beans are exceptional and the baristas know what theyre doing.Usually theres no more than 2 people behind the counter, and no more than 4 people in the whole shop, so service is quick.If you take coffee black, try a medium or light roast. You might think that dark roast is bold or exciting, but medium roast has (1) more caffeine and (2) more flavor. The quality of Hopscotchs coffee is fantastic, so itd be a shame to skimp on flavor.If you like espresso drinks, the latte may be a cliche, but is a solid choice. They also have an excellent cold brew, and depending on the season, nitrogen-infused cold brew. Nitro cold brew drinks like an iced latte but is all coffee.If you arent a coffee drinker, they have a fair selection of unique teas, and sometimes kombucha on tap. These are also excellent, though kombucha can be an acquired taste.This is a great grab and go coffee shop with friendly service and nice people.
