I had to bring my car in for some routine maintenance, brake replacements, airbag recall, and higher mileage maintenance. I had the pleasure of being assisted in the process and explanation of work needed by Scott. He was very thorough and didnt try to upsell anything to me. I also received a video of my car inspection, which I had never experienced before - this is an amazing tool for customers. I believe the inspection video was done by Christopher, in which he gave a great tour and visual aide in explaining the problems going on with my car. I would highly recommend this team. Thanks for everything, and my car feels almost new again after the maintenance!

Service at Bloomington Subaru is always a positive experience. I bought my 2011 Subaru there. Even though I live closer to a number of Subaru dealers, I always take my car to Bloomington. I trust their diagnoses when there is maintenance or repairs needed.The service writers are respectful and provide as much information as I need. Their new building and customer lounges are beautiful.They always have a top notch selection of snacks and beverages available at no cost.

Very friendly and helpful staff. I brought my Subaru in to get an oil change, have a rattle looked at, and the recommended 60,000 mile check. I was taken aback at the cost they quoted me, which was just over $1,000. My oil change was free, so that didn’t factor in. It was close to closing time when I dropped my car off to be serviced the next day, so I didn’t ask too many questions. They kindly loaned me a courtesy car, free of charge. When I got home I went to their website to see what a base level 60,000 mile check should cost and what it included. They have been talking to me about these checks since I purchased my car so I figured they were important. I couldn’t find anything about the check up on their site or anywhere on Google. I called and canceled the check up the next morning since I wasn’t quite at 60,000 miles yet and wasn’t prepared to spend that much. I wish that they had base prices and descriptions of some of these services on their site so it’s not such a shock and a person can be more easily prepared financially. I was expecting around the $400-$500 mark, but not that much.
I had done quite a bit of research on Subarus so had an idea of what I wanted. Luther Bloomington had the largest selection in the twin cities, so I knew we had to test drive here. I contacted the online chat and was directed right to Maria. She got us scheduled for test driving 2 different cars on a Saturday.When we arrived on a Saturday, Maria was ready for us and was easy to talk to and super friendly. We were able to quickly get into our scheduled time slots for cars. There were people test driving some of the color combos we were wanting, so we werent able to see the exact product we were wanting. (Those customers ended up buying)...so it was hard not to be able to see inventory on hand and get ideas of what wed be buying when our product came in.We worked with Maria to determine what products Luther had on hand and what was on order due to arrive into stock in coming weeks. WE went home and did some research on the interior and exterior color combo options in order to make a better decisions since it wasnt on the lot.Maria was able to confirm the product combinations we wanted were coming from the factory in a few weeks, which was perfect. Wed have a brand new off the manufacturing floor vehicle.Maria made the purchase very easy and confirmed the car was due in the day we thought, had all finance paperwork to us, so on the day we picked up the car it was a very smooth process. We are so very happy with our Ascent and are excited to work w/ Subaru in the coming years!
Very good and competent folks working in the rapid service area. ~ 90 minutes for an oil change and tire rotation on the day I had service. (60-90 was the estimated frame) Quotes for other future potential maintenance are very high and worth shopping with other mechanics you know and trust.
Their website said they closed at 8pm. I came in at 6:50pm and found out they actually close at 7:00pm. I forget the guy’s name, but he was so nice and helped me out even though they were closing.I explained my situation to him and he understood immediately that I could not drive my car home that night and set me up with a loaner car. I appreciated that very much after the lack of service I got at discount tires an hour before I came into the dealership. The very next morning they found, explained and fixed the issue with my leaking tire. Thank you for your great customer service and resolving my problem!
I took my car in for a scheduled oil change and for a safety recall. I was told it would take about 2 hours. I arrived at my appointment at 6:30 am and was helped right away. I was in the waiting room by 6:40. The associate came up at 8 and told me things were fine. I did not hear from him again until I received a text at 10:12 am (almost 4 hours later!) He mumbled something about my fuel pump and having to clean it up so my car did not smell like gas. Well, not only did it still reek of gasoline, they also lost over 1/2 tank of gas and never bothered to tell me, or offer me a voucher for the gas they spilled. No apology for the almost 4 hour wait, no replacing the gas they lost. Overall, not a good experience at all!!
Bought 2010 Forester XT in February with 105k & less than 500 miles on new timing belt. Right before the warranty expired there was a decent oil leak dripping on to exhaust manifold causing it to smoke. Brought it in & they determined it had a faulty oil pump which they replaced under warranty. After I picked it up I turned back after about 20 miles because I still didn’t think it was running quite right. They said it would be just fine & not to worry “we got you.” 2 weeks later turbo bearings failed but they said there’s nothing they could do about it. Was going to bring it in to have them fix but didn’t feel safe driving it to the cities or causing further damage, nor had the money so ended up replacing it myself. Less than a month later crank bearing fails, still nothing they would do about it. Within less than 3000 miles of them fixing it engine is toast. Every mechanic I’ve talked to has said the bearing failures were related to the bad oil pump & not just coincidental. It’s been over 5 months now & still owe nearly 10 grand & paying almost $300 a month + full coverage on a car I can’t drive. Needless to say I’m not very happy. Bought this vehicle to have reliable transportation after breaking down multiple times last winter but now I’m back in the same boat, with an ever burning hole in my pocket to go with it!

From my salesperson Chris Thom to my most recent encounter with the service department, Michael Dao and Scott, what a terrific experience. They are very friendly, engaging and a delight to interact with. No pressure, willing to answer questions and providing feedback that is clear understandable and to the point. And what a facility too! The waiting area is very clean and airy, nice selection of beverages and snacks to enjoy while you wait. I was and am very impressed with this organization and its staff. I would buy another Subaru from them in a minute.
Appointment making prices was easy. When I arrived I was greeted by my service rep SkyLynn who took very good care of me and my vehicle. My SUV was taken care of in the amount of time promised and budget. No hard upselling... I highly recommend going here.
I had an issue with my running lights, and luckily it was an easy fix. I was helped by Aidan and he did such a great job answering all of my questions and making sure the whole process was transparent. The technicians were great and also found a few minor problems that didnt need immediate fixing and I didnt feel pressured to get it all done in one day. Ill only bring my Subaru here for service from now on if I can help it.

Been here twice for service on a new vehicle at the new building. Both times the Express was quick for oil change and tire rotation. Lounge area upstairs is very nice, outdoor deck is cool. Seating does not recline, coffee, pop, water readily available.

Bloomington Subaru was great to work with when buying our new Subaru. We test drove an older model and a new one and ultimately ended up ordering a new Crosstrek. They were very communicative and kept in touch with me during the build stage and shipping. Come closing time they worked with us to get the keys in our hands within about two hours with time set aside for going over all the controls in the vehicle. I would purchase another vehicle from them without hesitation.
Excellent service. Everyone was friendly and helpful. They needed extra time because a replacement part didnt fit so I had a loaner for the holiday weekend. It was a new Forester. Great vehicle. I am so glad I got to try it out. It is just a little big for me. Quick swap on Tuesday to get my car back and I am so happy with how everything went.

The process was smooth and enjoyable. Kyle in finance went the extra mile to ensure I would be able to finance the extended warranty and was honest and very respectable. Joe and Noah two of the salesman I was working with as one was going on vacation we’re superior. Their knowledge of Subaru’s was greater than expected as the new models have a full electronic spectrum of features and they were able to explain them in a language that was understandable by even the least tech saavy of all people. My wife loves the Outback Touring model. She selected the touring model based on one of the many feature rarely found in even the most expensive of vehicles……a front end camera. Makes pulling into a garage or parking stall a breeze. Overall a superior experience. Having spent 20 years in the military and another 20 with the Fed Gov I feel I have the knack for picking out trustworthy and respectable people who value their integrity. I found the qualities in all individuals I had the pleasure of dealing with. There will be no other dealer that will get my business. I purchased a 2021 Outback Tourer and couldn’t be happier.
The advisor I met was nice and friendly but although I got charged $97.10 for inspection of the vehicle which I thought it was included with the free multi point inspection and got quoted for $1100 replacing power steering pump which was “ouch” for that price with the labor I was expecting but at least I got straight talk with Tyler and he understood it I don’t hate the staff I just hate the “price” I got quoted from them. Also I already paid the inspection report but then the texts and an email sent to me later asking me to pay again which got me really confused about the payment situation here I don’t know if I have to contact the store to clear up the situation.

My first time at the new Subaru building—really awesome space. Love the technology upgrades like the electronic tire analyzers as you drive in. Recently moved back to the Twin Cities from Arizona and my Legacy was due for an oil change. Also wanted the service inspection to see what other fixes I need to address before winter. Pulling into the Bloomington Subaru dealership was a breeze and I was helped right away in the Express service lane. They were very thorough in reviewing the issues they found with my vehicle and I didnt feel pressured into making repairs that I couldnt financially handle at the time. They gave me recommendations and suggestions of what to address first. I was able to use the free wifi in the lobby to work remotely while my car was being serviced. Overall, a very positive experience and I will return for additional service on my Legacy.

This was my first visit to the Bloomington Subaru Maintenance building. I was welcomed by friendly and helpful staff who walked me through the area and answered my questions. My car concerns were dealt with and car was washed when ready for pick-up. My first experience was a good one and I will definitely return to this Bloomington Subaru location for work on my car.
I am very pleased with the work that was done on my Subaru this morning. Michael was my service contact and he did an excellent job. He was by himself in the bay and the couple in front of me were elderly. He took his time with them, apologized to me, and helped me immediately after they left. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He got me out in a timely fashion. I thought Michael did a superb job and would return.
The people were great and so was the service. I dont like not being able to make an appointment for an oil change. Having to wait 90 minutes is beyond reasonable. I think this policy accommodates the business at the customers expense.
I stopped in at the beginning of 2020 but didn’t end up needing to purchase a car. But Chris T. made such a good impression that over a year and a half later, when I did finally need a new car, I reached out to him to see if he was still at Luther and to my luck, he was! He made what can be a very stressful experience, a fun and enjoyable one. He was professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. Once there, I was greeted with a smile, they took time to go over my vehicle in great detail, and the checkout process was quick and easy. I was running late and tried to call ahead but could never reach a service advisor. The phone answering system could use much improvement.

We never felt any pressure during the entire process. Car buying in 2021 is not a fun thing to do and we had to wait for a long time for our car to get here, but Steve and Subaru made it as enjoyable as possible.

Im the original owner of a 2013 RDX and for all my vehicles servicing needs over the years, Ive taken it to Bloomington Acura. Theyre my preferred choice because of the service staff and technicians. My initial dealings for the first few years had been with service advisor Brandal Raymond, with Alex Anderson now handling them as of late. Both employees are professional and exhibit a friendly, positive manner with their customer interactions. Theyve always kept me informed of how my service visit is proceeding, letting me know of unexpected issues, good or bad, time estimates, etc... The printed service records and information I receive at my visits are gone over with my advisor and explained in detail so I know if I need to ask further questions or I understand things as they are presented. A few years back, on two prior occasions, I required a loaner vehicle due to my vehicle needing Acura recall work performed and remaining at the dealership for a 24+ hour period. Joe Sorenson took care of my needs on both occasions, very quickly, and got me on my way and he kept me updated on when my vehicles recall work was completed. At my visit earlier this week, something new was presented to me which I found most helpful and informative. I was texted a link to my smartphone of a short 1-2 minute video from the mechanic working on my vehicle. It was a visual walk around where I was able to see under the hood and the underside of the vehicle and follow along with the mechanic (Dan, I believe) as he described and went point-by-point over what was all to be involved with my maintenance service visit. Two items not an original part of my visit were visually highlighted by him allowing me to see the discovered problems as well as what work was needed to correct them. I think this is a great way to visually communicate with vehicle owners who are bringing their vehicles in for just what is involved with their vehicles and maintenance repair needs. Also, Ive had two prior opportunities to use the accelerated service option for oil changes and other minor issues and it is a very handy option when you need something done and have a Saturday available instead of tying up time on a weekday.
We had a great experience with Michelle Town and the whole dealership. She took the time for us to test multiple vehicles, explained everything, was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. We also had great help from our numbers folks (Brian and ...? Forgot a name!) for the loan. When our trade option didn’t work out, nobody was pushy. Just straightforward. We love our new Forester!

The noise I came in about was diagnosed quickly and a accurate estimate of time for repair was given. The service advisor noted the extended warranty in effect, contacted and processed the claim with the insurance company all before bringing me the cost estimate!

I’ve driven Acura’s for 29 years and have always loved them. One of the things I liked was that there were basically a few versions of each vehicle but few accessories- Acura included almost everything in the sticker price. That has changed, and now you need to review each version AND accessories available - or not - on each version.Additionally, you will need to pick up your car, then schedule appointments to bring it back to have accessories installed. I needed two appointments. I was told I would be given an equivalent loaner during those times. One time I was, and the other time I was given a Versa that now is being billed as a rental - though that “deposit” was supposed to be removed when I returned the car. Will be fighting that.My experience at Bloomington Acura specifically was fine. The salesperson was the same one who helped us with our last car, and we like him. We wound up going with the loyalty program instead of Costco, which was disappointing but not unexpected give the current shortage/ unavailability of new cars.I trust I will be as happy with my new RDX as I’ve been with my Integra and TLs!

I was in for a recall months my 2019 Subaru Forester. It was serviced/checked at the exact time of my appointment. I was in and out in about 15 minutes including a free car wash. The new facility is beautiful with great space for waiting. All the staff were courteous and efficient.
Easy to make an appointment. Signage at the dealership directed me to the new facility. Check in went well; representative listened to and answered my questions, Good hospitality in the waiting area. My car was returned in shorter than the time estimated, with paperwork explaining what had been done. Also, washed! Good service.

I really appreciate this dealership. Theyre service is quick and they are so good at informing you. I purchased my car from another dealer, but we moved and are much closer to Bloomington now and I didnt realize how subpar the service we had before was until I came here. Mitch is the manager is really great. I had Marisa this time and she showed me around the new Subaru specific service building and its beautiful. Nice patio and environment to wait in for your repairs. I got a rental as well and the fellow who helped me there was also so nice and knowledgeable. He made the walk through comfortable and I never felt rushed, even though they were very busy.
I have been to several Subaru dealers for the repair of my 2013 Outback. I was so impressed with the team at Bloomington Acura/Subaru. They were timely, provided an online detailed quote with repair details and worked with me to come up with the best solution. Communication throughout the repair process was exceptional and honest. My service advisor Aaron took the time to explain the repairs and helped me arrive at a final solution. I will definitely use them for my future car service needs.

As painful as buying a new car could be, this was just the opposite. Chris helped tremendously from the moment we contacted him. It was fun working with him and he was honest and straightforward from the get go. There was no haggling and we got a good value on the lease we were turning in early. With the way the current used car market is, we knew what we could get for our 2019 Forester with the low miles (thanks Covid) since we didn’t drive into work everyday. The finance paperwork took longer than we hoped but it wasn’t painful at all. Definitely would go back when we need another vehicle.

I had previously taken my Subaru to a different dealership for servicing and had become very frustrated and disappointed with both their service and the state of my vehicle. I brought my car here and explained the situation, and in one visit they turned everything around. It cost a little more than I wouldve liked, but they gave me options and explained why each option had the associated costs. After that visit, my car ran much much better and I felt so much better about everything, I decided to return yesterday for a normal service visit (Oil change and multipoint inspection) and they again went above and beyond. My car is running great and they are very courteous and knowledgeable. Their lobby is also very comfortable, and I was able to work remotely while watching TV with no issues. Overall wonderful experience!
I had someone else bring my car in for service, therefore, my singular experience was to pay for that service.Am I thrilled at paying over $350.00 for routine annual service on a 2019 Acura....NO! But...I didnt have a choice in that.
Went to Bloomington Subaru for 2 issues my car was experiencing. Left with only one issue fixed and covered under warranty, but I also left being thankful for the fantastic customer service. Not only from the associate I was working with, but every one that works there. I felt like my voice was heard and all my concerns were taken into consideration. Now days, that’s hard to find! Definitely recommend this Subaru dealership.

He was friendly, thorough, and was very mindful of my time. His manner was genuine and concise while clearly thinking of my best interest. A great experience.
I was pleased with the services I received when I took my car in for an oil change and inspection. Service attendant was pleasant and helpful. This is the first time I have had my car serviced since the Covid outbreak. I missed all the treats and coffee that were provided for us while we waited.
Great service experience! Dealership contacted me proactively regarding a recall that may include my vehicle, and I was scheduled within a few days to come into service. Though my vehicle ultimately was not included the recall, I was assured when scheduling the appointment that the part was ready on-site and could be replaced within the hour while I waited if needed.Purchase experience was also exceptional, great personal follow up. Highly recommend for both service and sales!

The service was done via their vehicle pickup/drop off service. They come to your house pick up the car, then drop off after service is complete. Communication with service dealer is very efficient - its either call or text messages - I think its almost better than visiting the shop.I worked with Scott Nemitz & Tony (Tony is vehicle pickup/drop off specialist) twice and I highly recommend working with them & plan to continue working with the same team.

First service appointment.I was waiting for service when a young man just heading to the service desk saw me waiting and immediately dropped his bag and said he would help. His name is Shawn Cain. He was extremely polite and professional. He explained what work was going to be done and the total charge before I gave him my $25. Coupon and he said the discount would be reflected on the final bill. He even walked me to the lounge door even after I told him he could just point me in the right direction and he said it was part of the service. I think Shawn shows promise and potential. Very happy with Ross. He spent a long time explaining how everything works.The only thing I didnt like about Bloomington Subaru was the pressure to buy a extended warranty. I have bought many new cars and drove them over 100,000 miles each and never needed an extended warranty.
I was extremely impressed with your Service Department. I was greeted immediately. The service writer (I believe his name is Jacob) checked me in. He was friendly, thorough and attentive to what my concerns were. I also worked with Victor. Again, he was friendly, thorough and attentive. I was kept up to date on what they were working on. Victor sat down with me after the work was completed. He explained in terms I could understand, what was found wrong. He gave me recommendations on how to proceed with repairs. They also gave me a car wash. I could not be more pleased with the individual care I was given. I will certainly return to Bloomington Subaru.
I have owned my current Subaru for 10 years and another one before that, so I have been to subaru service centers across the west from Alaska to Minnesota and my experience with Scott at Bloomington Subaru was unprecedented in the areas of customer care, communication and integrity. From my initial contact (in distress from the roadside still 100 miles away with engine lights and warning lights flashing) through to the moment I was greeted by name when I came to pick up my car the very next day - my experience was overwhelmingly positive. Scott provided clear instructions, was accommodating, professional, timely and addressed every concern I had. He provided thorough descriptions of all the work that needed to be done and was honest in telling me some work I requested that had been recommended by another garage was not in fact necessary. I was able to use a loaner car while they serviced my vehicle so there was no interruption to my travel plans. I honestly cannot think of another service experience I have had in any realm where everyone I encountered was so kind and helpful and on task in getting things done to get me on my way. I was treated like my time and my business were valuable. I left feeling confident that all issues were addressed and I could feel safe back on the road. I live 170 miles away, but my experience was so positive, I will be making the drive to Bloomington Subaru for my next Subaru purchase. Thank you Scott for being so kind, helpful and professional -going above and beyond my expectations.

Randy Larsen immediately took care of checking my MDX into for routine service when I drove into the bay. He explained and went over the servicing items being done that day along with cost and time to complete. I waited and worked from the lobby while my MDX was serviced. It was done .on time and Randy even took my credit card to complete payment. Overall continued great service at this dealership.
Sell used lemons ...wouldnt trust this place there only out to make there money an not happy customers

Everyone we dealt with was very courteous and friendly.. Car we were interested in viewing was clean and waiting for us at the front door, which we loved and decided to purchase. Waited a bit for paperwork processing, but that is to be expected. Options were identified for warranty, but no pressure to purchase. Overall good experience.
