Isaac listened to our needs and wants then delivered big time bring us a Mazda 3I that we drove home. We got exactly what we wanted for our trade in. 5-Star Experience! I just stopped in for a regular oil change (I do all my service at Royal South), and -- on a whim -- decided to test drive a new CX5 to see if I might eventually want to move up from my CX3. I had no intention of buying that day. But the process was so easy, and the salesperson, Phil, was so great to work with! Mazda met all my financing requirements (where I wanted to be on interest, monthly payment, trade-in amount, etc.). Truly, almost unbelievable that the experience of buying a car could be that positive! Ive always had good experiences with Mazda, but this was the best. Im now on my 3rd Mazda vehicle, and this is the 3rd dealership Ive purchased from -- this was by far the best in a series of already great experiences.

They were quick to the point, did not leave you waiting for hours like at other large dealerships, and were fair in their negotiations.Their finance team was also very thorough and up-front about explaining the various meanings for costs, what additional options for warranty they offer, and how to redeem them if something were to happen where that would be necessary. Highly recommend them if they have a car on their lot that you are looking for

I just purchased a 2019 Mazda CX-5 from Royal South in Bloomington. After looking at Chrysler, Ford, and other well-known brands for a while and feeling unsatisfied with the options for my budget, I read an article about the Mazda CX-5 and decided to go see it in person. Alex, my salesman, was AMAZING. He didnt intimidate me, or make me feel stupid like other salesman at different dealerships. He was extremely relate-able, easy-going, and courteous. Alex, and the entire Royal South staff were so easy to get along with. They ALL made me feel extremely comfortable and taken care of. I feel like they were honest, transparent, and made my car-buying process very enjoyable. I was very nervous - this was my first BIG purchase all on my own. Ryan and Nick helped ease my nerves about the money aspect. They did everything they could to get my monthly payments down to an amount that I was comfortable with, get me an awesome deal on my trade-in, and they even managed to squeeze in some extras for me. Buying a car from the amazing staff at Royal South was significantly better than my last car buying experience at different popular dealership in town. Found the car I was looking for on-line and emailed an inquiry. I was contacted very quickly by Skylar who worked with me over email and texts the following day. After narrowing down my choices to just a few we had a call and discussed. I could not easily get to the dealership to view the car for myself since it is not local for me so Skylar had to be my eyes on-scene. In the end we agreed on a price and completed the deal under the pretense that I walk away if I make the drive and the vehicle was not as described. I made the drive to the dealership the next morning as scheduled and the vehicle was everything that had been described to me by pictures, texts, and phone calls so I was able to carry on with the purchase. The entire experience was quick and painless. I have now had the car for a week and it is a couple hundred miles older with nothing to complain about. I would highly recommend...

Super great guys over there. I purchased a pre-owned Mazda and these guys made it very easy. Without having to haggle I was given what I expected for my trade-in and I paid a very competitive rate for the new vehicle all without having to haggle or play games. These guys took care of a few loose ends on the new car at no charge and couldnt have been better about it. Im very happy with my experience and would encourage anyone looking for a new car to drop in even if you werent in the market for a Mazda or Volvo.

Very disrespectful and intrusive experience with their sales staff. I looked at 5-10 cars over two days at multiple dealers in Bloomington and Indianapolis, and this was by far the most blatantly insulting, intrusive, and disrespectful experience. Id suggest looking elsewhere. There are no shortage of other dealers who wont give you the third degree just so you can look at a used car.

I leased a CX-5 from here in 2017 that was so great I wanted to purchase a 2020 CX-5. They were more than fair on getting my lease turned in, with a great deal on the 2020 purchase. I HATE looking at cars because most associates make me feel very pressured. Martin was there 100% of the time but I never felt pressured. Royal South Mazda came to my rescue! My wife and I, both retirees, moved from NJ to Bloomington IN in March. We brought our Mazda3 that I had leased in NJ. But re-registering that car here in IN turned out to be nearly impossible, especially with the pandemic. IN BMV said I had to title the car in IN in order to register it here, but because I had a lease and do not possess the title, I had to get a power of attorney from the lessor (Mazda Capital Services) authorizing me to sign a new title in their name in IN. Good luck with that! MCS call centers are essentially closed - and I dont think they would understand giving me a POA anyway. So I went to Royal South Mazda to see what could be done. Alex, my salesman, was fantastic, as was the sales manager. They worked it out so that I could terminate my lease on the current car and lease a 2020 Mazda3 with no termination fee, no money down, and with a $1500 rebate, and, of course, get an IN certificate of title that I could use to register the car. The new car is great. Its very stylish and, even though it is the basic 3, it has some better features than the 2018 Touring model I had. So, Im happy to be a Bloomington resident and a Royal South Mazda customer.

I had a $350 dollar service at Royal Mazda today. I had given Jan Scott my entire set of keys and she returned only the main key to me at the end. I had politely asked her if she could give me the rest of my keys back when she brought me over to the cashier and she responded with, “sorry, I don’t have it. We make sure to only take the main key.” The problem is, I knew 100% I had given her my main set of keys because I always keep them on me and I looked everywhere and they were nowhere to be seen.The cashier was really friendly and asked me to go check my car to see if the technician left it in the passenger seat because they have done that a few times. I looked and it wasn’t there, but I checked the driver side and found the keys on the ground under the steering wheel. I knew I definitely didn’t put it there because I had taken the whole thing out with me when I got out of the car prior to the service. When I went back in to let the cashier know that I found the keys on the driver side and that the technician had left it there, Jan overheard me and said “no, the technician didn’t put it there” even though he clearly had.At that point I was so upset for almost losing my keys because Jan Scott was unwilling to try and help and put all the blame on me. She kept referring back to the same thing “yesterday you gave me one key” (because I had gone in the previous day for a full inspection) and I kept saying over again that I had given her one key yesterday, but I reattached my key and gave her the whole set today. But she would not listen and kept reflecting any responsibility away from herself. As I walked out the door because I did not want to make a scene, she just shook her head and continued to say it was my fault. Just because I am a young Asian American student does not mean I should be treated like dirt.The technicians at this place are skilled men. I called Mark (customer service) to explain how upset I was at how I was treated, and he was lovely. I definitely recommend coming here if you need service, but only if you know you are in a position where you won’t be treated badly by Jan.

Bought my new to me CX-5 at the tent sale this summer off of Bryan, who treated us very well and was fun to work with. I ended up paying a little more than I had planned on with the extended warranty, but the after the sale service has been excellent. I love the Mazda after 5000 miles on it and it really hasnt needed anything other than a couple minor trim items fixed from when I first bought it, but they have been very professional and courteous even when Ive been nit picky. Just took it in for routine maintenance and was pleasantly surprised they keep disproving the dealership stereotypes. I was a bit nervous what the service would run, but the prices were quite competitive, and the invoice was very detailed on all the inspection items.

I had a great experience buying a car at Royal! Jessica and Don gave me a great experience in getting me set up in my new car and Matt was great in helping get all the paperwork done. I walked out of another dealership because of all the sales-y BS and couldnt even objectively decide if I liked the other car because I was so put off by the salesman. Walking into Royal was remarkably different. There was no hassle, we could test drive without a bunch a pressure, and when I went back in the next day to buy, I had a great experience with Don, Matt, and Mike. I already liked the car a lot but my experience is what sold me the car. I got a nail in my tire two days after I bought my new car and Matt even offered to pay for half the tire. So unnecessary but so appreciated! We own two Mazdas and well be back when we are ready for our next car!

Very unfortunate experience today. Scheduled an appointment 2 weeks in advance with the service department to fix a serious recall. Arrived at the service department to find out they had forgotten to write my appointment down on the schedule. I Felt awkward and like I was an unscheduled inconvenience. I was then was told they didnt have the Official Fix for the recall from Mazda yet, but they would give it a try. I forgot to mention this is almost a 3 hour round trip as they are my closest Mazda dealer.

Service Review (Dec17): Since last year, I had all my service for my CX5 at this place. They have good technicians and Service managers/advisors. Service Manager Jan was really helpful and listen to our issues and provide the best solution she can. Tony did good on taking care of the vehicle issue. Customer support is definitely rated 5 stars. Never seen any dissatisfied customer on any of my visits to the place.Sales Review only (Feb16) : I never thought car buying would go this easy and faster. I was originally referred by my friend to this place and right from I stepped in to the sales office, I felt like I came to veracious place. Response from Matt, Mark and Don were friendly and satisfying in particular. I definitely recommend locals to check this place before heading out to big cities with lucrative offers.

PLEASE AVOID THIS DEALER AT ALL COSTS IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE!!!!!!!! Thanks to the neglect of the mechanics in the service department I almost not only lost my own life, but could have potentially hurt others as well.I had my oil changed by these bozos last week as I was getting ready to leave for Tennessee. They are my go to mechanics in Bloomington. NEVER AGAIN. I had them also do an inspection on the car since I was about to travel 400 miles. The mechanic that did the inspection forgot to put the drivers side front wheel back on correctly. As Im driving down 65 in Louisville at 70mph I hear a bunch of clicking in the front wheel area, a bunch of vibration, and then BOOM the entire wheel goes flying off and lands in the middle of the median(luckily there was catch fencing and not much traffic or you would have a mess). My SUV goes flying out of control off the shoulder. Im left with thousands of dollars in repair(plus a $80 tow. at least they took us to a hotel which was nice of them as it was 5 miles away). When the wheel flew off it smacked the front fender and door, destroying both. It also destroyed the ball joint. So I had to get new wheel, new tire, new studs, joint, etc. It delayed the trip by 2 days(2 night hotel stay at $125/night), and I had to pay for it of it out of pocket. The place I took it too(who actually provided good service unlike Royal) rigged the door and fender enough so I could get to Tennessee and now I will have to get that fixed while Im here.I called Royal, they wouldnt stand behind it. Even though I have paperwork showing what they did they said they never touched the tires. I talked to the manager of service and he, without using the exact word, called me a liar and said there is nothing he could do. He also tried saying I signed paperwork saying they werent at fault if anything happens after I leave. I didnt sign anything at all EVER....uhhh forgery??.Needless to say, I will be getting a lawyer and filing a lawsuit against Royal. Im glad to be here, it could have ended very badly. Im just glad I was traveling at 6am, not 6pm, and for moneys sake, Royal should be to or they would be out of business by tomorrow.This was where I took all 3 vehicles the last 3 years. I really did like them and they were always friendly. Of course, when I told them what happened, they werent so friendly anymore. If they would have admitted to fault, and offered to even help with the repair costs, I would continue to go to them, but not now.

I had just wrecked my 2017 Mazda 6 the Friday before and this was Monday when I walked into Royal South Mazda and was greeted by Don Hamrick and my brother Bob Bloodgood. I had called Bob the night before and had asked him who the best salesman was and he said that Don was and that he had known him for a number of years. My brother Bob is the only Mazda Master Mechanic in Southern Indiana and I am so proud of him. Don was fantastic! I was looking for a 2017 CX-9 Touring Premium in Soul Red and that was the last one they had on the lot. Don and Bob should me all about it and then Bob went back to his duties. Don and I went on a test drive and I was in and out of there in less than an hour! It was the best car purchasing experience that Ive ever had hands down!

I have a 2000 Volvo S70 GLT SE and Ive been getting my car serviced here for the past two years. I am a graduate student who is very dependent on a car to get around Bloomington and beyond. At first, I thought the costumer service at the service center was very helpful and nice, but I kept having to bring my car back for repairs not only because my car is older, but because I dont feel that these mechanics are completely competent in doing their job. Recently the service center acquired a new master tech from Ohio who suggested thousands of dollars of repairs that exceed the value of the car. They kept my car for 22 days to work on the list of repairs he suggested. Following the advice of my father, I had them open up the hood so they could show me the parts that had been replaced. Do you know they charged me for a battery replacement and DID NOT replace the battery? I also went back to complain about the noise that the steering wheel was making while turning. The steering rack had a leak in it. The thing was they JUST replaced the steering rack. I dont think they fully understand how inconvenienced I was for the past three weeks without a car. I wish they werent the only service center in Bloomington. Indianapolis is too far to have my car serviced on a consistent basis.

Ive never written an online review for anything, but our experience at Royal South Mazda was so great I felt like I should.To make it short, our salesman Baker was great. He did not pressure us, at all. He let us test drive several versions of the car because they didnt have the version we wanted in stock (so we tested a sedan with the engine we wanted, and a hatchback bodystyle on the engine we didnt want). When we left the dealership to think it over, he did not pressure us in any way- he didnt give us the typical dealer-speak of the car wont be here long or we cant guarantee that price unless you sign now. We went back that afternoon and Baker was able to get us the car we wanted the next business day. The car was perfect, it was clean, had a full tank of gas, and only 150 miles on it.Financing was even easier- as soon as we said we werent interested in any of the extended warranties they crossed those out and did not pressure us into buying anything extra. It also took less than 45 minutes from the minute we walked in until we drove off the lot in our new car.Ill recommend Roya South Mazda Volvo to anyone looking for a car. I actually preferred the Ford I drove, but the dealer experience in Bloomington was so much better at the Mazda dealer that the decision was easy.
