I had to move my Aunt out of her apartment that she had been living in for years. I have always used Two Men and a truck when I needed to move, so I did not hesitate to call them again. Furniture move from main floor to basement on a Saturday appeared to go okay until I went down to the basement again after the truck left. I found a chest of drawers with a large chunk broken off on the front molding and saw the piled up on-end mattresses leaning over against two dressers and forcing the two dressers to tip over at a very sharp angle, but a canoe on a stand in front of the dressers prevented them from falling face down on the concrete. Then a few minutes later I found a shattered Curio Cabinet glass shelf lying shattered on the concrete floor behind some chairs. I called the company and they transferred my call to their claims department where I had to leave a message. They said they would be contacting me within one to two days to follow up on my call. Their regular office called back on the following Monday and asked how the move went. I told them about all the damages and they said since I left a message on their claims department phone line, that I would be receiving a call from the claims department soon. Now here it is a week later and they still havent called. I called them again and repeated everything again and the guy said for me to send pictures in an email to the claims manager. I used this company about a year ago and didnt have any problems then, but after what happened this time, I probably wont use them again.

We had an excellent experience using Two Men and a Truck. Never like pricing the costs of a moving company, but I do believe we got our moneys worth. Kyle and Bryan stayed in contact with us from the beginning to the end. And we were amazed at how quickly they had us packed out of the house, even with applying the shrink wrapping and blankets. When they moved our furnishings into storage, we were amazed at how they worked the puzzle of making everything fit. They definitely are experienced. We have consistently chosen Two Men and a Truck from the Birmingham office as they’ve repeatedly gone above and beyond in making the difficult task of moving, easier. We’ve used their service to unload trucks after cross country moves, to move us across the country (twice!) and recently for a local move. So thankful for Alison and Taylor in the office. And especially for Phil, Ross, Tyler and Rod. Some of them were new but with Phil as their lead they worked efficiently yet carefully and did a great job! We’re so thankful!!!

Every step of the moving process was handled professionally. The schedulers and those I spoke to on the phone were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Their emailed/online forms were very easy to complete. And the movers themselves were friendly and polite, hustled well, and really took care of my items. It poured rain during the second half of my move, but they didnt slow down and didnt complain. It was by far the best moving experience Ive had. When we were ready to move, we really had no idea which company to use. We saw the sign for Two Men and a Truck on the highway near us and gave them a call. Katie took our call and was attentive to every detail of our move. The day before our move she called to confirm which helped assure us we made the right decision. On the day of our move, Isaiah and Jake called to confirm time and place. They arrived promptly, loaded our things quickly and safely, again with attention to detail. Before we knew it the men had put everything in its place in our new home and we were sitting down taking care of the final paperwork. Later that day, Mack called to follow up on our experience and to make sure everything went well. Moving is stressful but knowing that our personal possessions are in good hands helps to remove a great deal of that stress. For our next move, without a doubt, we will use Two Men and a Truck.

We were very happy overall with Two Men and a Truck. The office staff were exceptional and the movers were very good and kind/professional. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars (I would give 4.5 if I could) is because they did accidentally break our coffee table leg, but they offered right away to take it and fix it and bring it back. We are also missing a couple of small shelves for out TV table, but Im sure things like that get overlooked occasionally even with the best of the best. Overall, we were very happy with Two Men and a Truck.

After a horrific experience with another local mover, we were in an emergent situation, and needed to have our 2bd apartment re-packed and moved across state lines within 2 days! So thankful for the wonderful staff at Two Men and a Truck - Birmingham.Taylor in the office was knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. She answered all our questions, and offered us the reassurance we needed to know our belongings were going to be handled with care. She was communicative, offered documents via email, and provided check-ins during our packing and moving days via text. Paylinks meant they didnt have to have a credit card on file prior to booking.Jones and Cameron were our packing crew, and Todd and Brian were our moving crew the following day. All were friendly, professional, and got the job done right. In the whirlwind of loading the truck, I lost my engagement ring. Todd and Brian stayed behind an extra 10-15 minutes just to help me look! Above and beyond! (And yes, ring was found and all is well).

My overall experience with the staff at Two Men and a Truck was very good. Office staff was friendly, knowledgeable and responsive. The website is super user-friendly to generate a quote, and Katie called me the next day to discuss. The quote process also served the purpose of helping me scope out my move and how many boxes I needed to purchase.The movers, Chase & Matthew, were prompt, polite, professional and thorough. Even the weirdly packed items (Im no pro) were delivered without damage.The only slight drawback was that the actual cost didnt match the estimate range. But since the service is hourly it was very straightforward to figure out how it added up. Also, they guys did not slack.

This is the third time I have used Two Men and a Truck. The first time was moving from one house to another--and I cannot stress how pleased I was with that. They wrapped everything that needed it and handled everything with care. The other two times were in house moving--moving heavy furniture from upstairs to downstairs. It is so worth it. The cost was reasonable and they do not dally milking the clock. The young men were so polite and aces too. I have one more move and this is who I will hire to help me with that.

Office Support was great. the packing crew was fantastic. Very steady, worked with great focus and no downtime packed every box very well for the move... lots of fine china very detailed stuff. Zero breaks. VERY Efficient. Then there was the moving crew.... came with 4 guys and two trucks. Very polite and courteous but only two of the four worked with ANY urgency... one being the crew supervisor - if I had four of him would be a completely different review. Last time I used New Latitude and they jogged between carrying pieces... that was impressive and honestly wouldnt even expect that but two of the four crew did a fair amount of moping around. a few of which were more worried about their snapchat or twitter than the move. Took them about 8 hours to load a 3000 sq ft house. and the second truck was only about 2/3 full. Not packed efficiently. After a little chat with the office by Todd the crew supervisor, I think they new it was slow and they sent two more guys to help unload without charging additional. That is why they got 4 stars from me. They made it right. They unloaded both trucks in 2-2.5 hours. They guys were fun and very polite...but if it were my business, I will coach for urgency and tell the young boys to KEEP the phone in their pocket unless their on a break. Its a bad look when some one is paying $390 an hour for a move.

I booked Two Men and a Truck for a local move to a new apartment. EJ and Blake were AMAZING to work with! They were funny, polite, and professional and made the moving process 10x better. We had a stop at a storage unit between apartments which they handled with ease. EJ and Blake handled all of our furniture with care and arranged it at the new place perfectly!

Damaged several items. Came back in worse shape than when they were picked up. Have talked to a couple of managers with no follow up, no communication, nothing. Expensive and do not recommend.

Extremely disappointed in the moving experience and customer service. My belongings sustained approximately $3,000 in damage which I attempted to report several days after my move. I have been ignored by their claims department after three months of calling and asking for help. Ive been promised calls back time and time again and never got one. Today when I called again, I was finally told my claim was denied because too much time has passed. Im not sure why I wasnt notified that it had been reviewed. I was offered a good-faith payment of $300, which is unfortunately just a fraction of what I spent replacing my damaged items.The movers were unprofessional the day of as well -- they charged me incorrectly, stood around texting half the time to drag out the clock, and then asked me if I use recreational drugs.I hate to be that person writing a nasty review, but I am extremely disappointed with their service all around and I hope this helps keep others from having the same experience that I did. My one-bedroom move went over budget, damaged family heirlooms and caused me to have to replace my entire bed and mattress... and the companys customer service chose to ignore me and hope I went away instead of helping me resolve this.Last time I moved before this I used American Eagle Moving for a much more difficult move and they were fantastic. Their guys were quick, professional, and did not cause any property damage. If youre reading this, I recommend getting a quote from them instead!

I have used Two Men and a Truck in previous moves and had great experiences each time. This was not one of those great experiences. The crew that showed up that morning were rude, unprofessional and VERY SLOW. I had to leave the house at one point and while I was gone the gentlemen took a 40 minute break and tried to claim they had been moving boxes the entire time. As we were getting to the final items to be loaded they began throwing the boxes from the ground into the back the truck. To be fair, these boxes were only holding shoes in them.When we left the house and headed to the storage unit the guys said they would be stopping for lunch. I said thats perfectly fine and even offered to pay for their lunch. They insisted that was not necessary and confirmed they would not take longer than 30 minutes. Well, An HOUR AND TEN MINUTES later they still had not arrived at the storage unit. Finally they arrive and SLOWLY begin unloading the truck. They would take one box at a time into the storage unit before returning to unload another box. I will defend them here and say they did have to use the freight elevator which did cause a slight slow down. That being said, it did not require them sending one box at a time up the elevator. They broke several items and claimed that was like that when I picked it up.When it was time to pay, the person in charge tried to charge me for the entire day, including the 1 hour and 50 minutes of breaks they took. I pushed back on this and after some back and forth he finally said fine if thats how you want to be, if thats how you want to act, then fine... I guess I wont count one hour.I used Two Men and a Truck two times prior to this and even recommended them to other people. I will not use them again and cannot suggest anyone else use them. I provided feedback in the customer survey and even called their office to let them know I would be leaving a negative review. I have not heard back from them which leads me to believe they are not that concerned about customer feedback. Only use them at your own risk.

Used Two Men and a Truck to complete my move after the first company we used took too long and would have destroyed our budget had we continued with the first company. TM&T were on-time, fast, and got the job done quickly. It was a welcomed changed after our first experience in trying to move everything. They may be more expensive, but I would say you are going to pay as much anyways if you used someone else because the speed of the move wont be matched.

Broke my TV!!!! The first movers that showed up did a good job. Then they brought in extra movers because they were in a rush to get to another job. The extra movers were careless and threw things in the truck allowing my 65 inch tv to break. Customer service took 2 weeks to call me back and by then they told me it was too late to file a claim. Also I was charged an additional hour for them to drive from the office to my house which is less than 15 min away according to google maps. They are crooks stay away hire a local company and not a national franchise.

This is the 2nd time weve used Two Men and a Truck for moving. And weve also hired them to move heavy furniture around our house a few times. Each time has been a pleasant, professional experience.But this most recent move (6/12/21) was exceptional. Before the trucks arrived, a young man named Rashad (I hope Im remembering that correctly) showed up to kick things off and begin prep. He was very personable and professional.We then had two trucks (4 Men) arrive and start loading furniture. Throughout the day, the guys moved quickly and were always friendly. they did a great job of keeping us up to date on what was going on, what would happen next, etc. At the end of the day, all the work was done and the cost was less than we expected.If I had to move again tomorrow, I would use Two Men and Id even be willing to wait to make sure I got the same team I had before - Bryan, Rumph, Meek and Kyle were the best.

Reed and Curtis were punctual, friendly, and professional. They carefully moved a very large refrigerator through a door which had only about 1/2 clearance on each side. They took their time, and they made it through the door perfectly! I have used Two Men And A Truck several times in the past, and they always are a pleasure to deal with.

The 2 movers sent to do the job were hard workers. But one had worked late the night before and was tired & the other was sort of new at the job. So that being said, Organizational skills lacked among the two. they were unable to get all the furniture on the truck after telling them boxes came last. Then when got to storage, the boxes were placed in the unit first so therefore the bigger items barely fit and was no room left for the things that were left at the house. Had to get extra storeage for what was left. Very unhappy with the way this move turned out. Will not use Two Men and Truck on next move.

Overall fantastic experience - Alison was very professional - helpful and detail oriented! The final cost was almost exactly what she estimated (just a few dollars less than her estimate!) Derrick and Hunter did a great job packing and moving our Dads stuff while complying with fairly strict regulations at 2 senior care facilities. Will definitely recommend and use Two Men again in the future!
