Simply the best ice cream ever. This place has so many options on the menu it’s impossible to know what to choose. Fortunately we visited several times while we were in town so I feel I didn’t miss out on anything. Friendly and super quick service and also a good spot to see some cool cars outside!

Wonderful soft ice cream and custard creations. Order from the extensive menu or create your own. Eating a cupful of sweetness and watching and listening to the unending stream of Detroit Iron brought back a lot of memories.

There are a few really good flavors. But chocolate flavor wasnt as rich as I expected it to be.Sundaes are great! Pretty decent place. You definitely wont be disappointed.

Out of towners looking for a local ice cream spot late on a Tuesday night and we stumbled upon this gem. They were very busy (always a good indication) but we were served quickly. We did not realize they were a cash only establishment and we did not have any cash so they provided a Venmo option which was wonderful! The soft serve ice cream, sundaes, and shakes were delicious!

I am shocked that one more the one occasion I had to tell the cashier who was handling money all day (cash only establishment) to not handle the food without washing hands properly or have someone else make the ice cream cone. One of the best little yogurt/ice cream shops around town. Always come here for a long walk from our house. It’s a great spot that is always busy, but worth the small line. My favorite is the strawberry yogurt, it’s only available on select days. But, always a nice treat. A medium is very large here and more than enough for 1 person. Ive been coming here since I was a little kid. My grandfather always brought us here. No other ice cream place has ever even mattered. Cash only so be prepared. So much fun to stop over for an ice cream cone and check out the cars cruising up and down Woodward. They also have an ice cold filtered drinking fountain that is great to visit during a long walk on a hot day. Really friendly staff and management. Superb ice cream and lots of options. Very nostalgic. Classic sign. Delicious ice cream.

We love this place, weve been coming here for over 15 years. Sometimes were the crazy ones standing out there late fall or early spring when its still snowing just th o get our ice cream fix. If theres a long line, be patient, it is definitely worth the wait.

Diary Deluxe has been our go to for years. I was very disappointed that when we went last night the staff was not wearing masks and people were congregating out front. When I asked about the masks, the staff said they did not have any, but that they had gloves. Gloves are not a substitute for masks! How about DIY masks like everyone else is doing? Bandannas? We would like to continue to support you but will not do so until all of the staff has masks. In addition, given the small work space, the staff are potentially infecting each other. Being in the food service industry, and being one of the lucky ones with a walk-up window, I would expect Diary Deluxe would take better precautions to protect its staff and patrons.

Delicious ice cream with lots of different options for flurry mix-ins! There are long lines due to it being summer and warm out but the staff does a nice job of moving it quickly!

Been coming here 30+ years!Great place to get soft serve ice cream. Ice cream and toppings are much higher quality than the other places.

The frozen yogurt was excellent, as always; but I was VERY disappointed that hardly ANYONE in the L-O-N-G line of customers had on a mask; and very frustrated that we had to continuously ask the group of teens behind us to keep SOME level of social distancing from us. The young man taking orders also had on no face covering, even though his un-masked customers had to lean in close to place their order.

Ive been going here my whole life, and I can say that this is without a doubt the best soft serve ice cream place in the Detroit metropolitan area, and maybe even the state. If youre looking for something more than just an ice cream cone, this is the place. I personally love the fruity pebbles flurry.

The kids behind the counter are nice, the ice cream is cold, and the service is fast. And they dont break your pocketbook. Good stuff, and theyve been very much the same for years, so you can count on a good experience.

I am sorry it it is just not as good as custard and co right down the street. It is however ice cream which is good but when the choices are so close together I will pick custard every time. This place does get a line and it is good ice cream.

Everyone seems to enjoy this experience and the soft serve ice cream. The parking can sometimes be a nightmare. My girl friend has asked me to stop here a number of times. (and I do, to satisfy her sweet tooth) They do not, however, serve any reduced sugar or no-sugar soft serve, so I have never ordered anything for myself.

Ive been here multiple times but the latest time was my first experience with the bumpy cake blizzard and needless to say I will never go back to a previous order. It was so so so good and everything youd hope for and expect. So charming and even better with bumpy cake

Best soft serve on woodward. I like a vanilla cone with sprinkles. The waffle cone sunday is great also. My mom has been going there since the nineties when she worked at kinetic photo. She would get a cherry slush float with an extra squirt of lime.

Wow I have been to every ice cream place on Woodward and I would say this is for sure the best value out of all of them the owner is usually there with them self or his wife they are always there to greet you with a smile. they remember your face when your at a random store in the owner comes up to you and greets you as if youre in his own store and have a conversation with you. great people and great small business a lifetime customer

Delicious... brought an old vehicle and had a medium sized overheating issue in their parking lot. They were glad to help out with a bucket of water.... All in all just a class act by the best ice cream shop on Woodward.

Just went to get ice cream and three kids were served without a mask and the employees did not care when we asked them why they were served contrary to the numerous signs posted. Last time going there, sad they are not taking the law seriously. Hope they are not responsible for an outbreak.

Delicious Ice Cream with a HUGE MENU. The only reason they dont get 5 stars is because its cash only. I also didnt see that it was cash only posted anywhere on the menu, found out after ordering and I went to pay with my card. Come on guys, get into this century and get a credit card reader.
