The cookies were yummy and the service was amazing! Great atmosphere. Manager provided excellent information on cross contact prevention for their gluten free cookies.

Kudos to the ONLY TWO fellas working late tonight. As usual the shop is filled with customers. A few were frustrated with the wait several delivery drivers waiting also. Both employees stayed professional and continued to welcome customers in with a smile and apologize for the wait time. Give these guys a raise. Excellent customer service. Thanks again.

I wasnt expecting super great cookies from a chain store, but I was surprised.I got a box of 12 mixed cookies, chocolate chunk, M&Ms, and peanut butter cup.They were fresh baked, and tasted amazing.

Me and my girlfriend went here and upon receiving our orders my “monster sundae” was 3 scoops of ice cream with some peanuts sprinkled on top, then my girlfriend opened her “Cookie’wich” it was half a scoop of ice cream with over 3 hairs in it. Definitely wouldn’t recommend.

When I first started going here they were 5 stars. The staff was very friendly everything was great then they became pretty good. Just went last night for Fathers day. Not so great or good the cookies were broken, over butter flavored, and overcooked. Like maybe whoever made them put too much butter in the mixture and baked them too long. I will give them another try later down the line and update you guys on if they have kept or lost a customer. Overall its good place maybe just the rush was too much for the newer workers I guess.

The smell alone in this place is so good, I wouldnt be surprised if they charged you for it.

Ordered birthday cookie cake 4 days in advance, showed up on time and they hadn’t even started the order. Had to wait 50 minutes for them to cook and decorate it. Made me late to my daughter’s birthday party. Didn’t even get an apology. Good, but not that good.

The manager or lead with dreads told me this is the atmosphere and proceeded to walk behind the wall and LOUDLY discuss my questioning. so be mindful of inappropriate convo (cause theyre college kids so it’s ok) and yelling. Besides that the cookies are good.

Our favorite cookies are the macadamia nut and sugar. If you are looking for a place late at night that serves hot and ready cookies, this is your spot.

I loved my cookies. I got the Peanut Butter Chunk. The warm gooeyness warmed my soul. It was phenomenal, awesome, outstanding, delicious, a piece of heaven in my mouth. I wish they delivered to me at 3 AM put I live a bit far. Thats ok its worth the drive. Oh, i got ice cream too... 1 cookie and a small cup of ice cream with a water.

The cookies are very good and the concept is great, and overall, I really enjoy Insomnia Cookies. The cookies are a good size, high quality, and always hot. However, they are overpriced. $1.60 for one cookie, $3.20 for a large, and a pint of milk cost more than a gallon at the store. An ice cream sandwich is nearly $6! The store itself is small and quickly packed, and the employees, while not rude, aren’t overly friendly. I would go more often if they weren’t as pricey, but I love that they’re open late.

The service is terrible. Three times in the last two months, my order didnt arrive til two hours later. And the tracking app is absolutely useless. Crazy thing is, I live only a few blocks from their local store here in Birmingham. Calling customer service is useless. The last time I ordered, the tracker marked my order as delivered at 35 minutes. I waited another thirty minutes. Still no cookies. I called customer service. They told me the cookies were done, they were just waiting on the next available driver. I then asked why was it marked delivered if it hadnt left the store? I got no answer but told the cookies were on their way. 30 minutes after that, still no cookies. I called customer service back and demanded a refund. They wanted to counter offer me a coupon for six free cookies upon ordering six more the next time. I asked the guy what good is free cookies on top.of another six that I have to wait 2 hours for after being told they were delivered? These guys are terrible. Spare yourself the grief and head to the refrigerator section of the grocery store and buy some pre-made dough. Good damn grief!

Horrible. Management was not keeping customers satisfied. It was about 2 hours before they closed and refused to make cookies people wanted. The only options to choose from is what was left over.

Great icream sandwich cookies. Big portions and lots of ice cream.😁😁. Drinks are kind of hight though. A bottle of water was like 2.69. But other than that, I really enjoyed it.

Ordered cookies to be delivered to us and payed for delivery fee and everything, super pricey and waited a little over 2 hours for them to be delivered. After they still had not been delivered I called customer service and I was on hold for almost 30 min before some corporate person picked up and told me the nearby store was too busy to pick up my calls and deliver but my order was ready if I wanted to pick it up at the store, so I drove a while to wait in a huge line down the street and when I got up to the register they told us they weren’t doing delivery’s tonight but handed us our order. We STILL had to pay the delivery cost and that tracker app is useless and told us our order was still “baking”. The guy handeling the cookies had his pants pulled down. When we got back we found that one of our cookies where missing, the icecream was melted, and the toppings we ordered on the icecream were in separate bags away from the icecream?! And to top it all off the cookies were good but nothing to special abt them, really disappointed.

I had only been to the Tuscaloosa store so I was happy to find out there was one in Birmingham too! Sorry, Tuscaloosa got you beat on the best cookies. But trust, I ate them all.

I love the cookies, but recently, it’s taken way too long to deliver them to my apartment. I live pretty much down the road from the store, and even at 12:15 in the afternoon, when they are supposed to be not too busy, it’s taken 2 hours to get my cookies delivered. This has happened multiple times and I wish they would hire more drivers to get orders out faster.

Has been years since I had their cookies and they were as wonderful as I remembered! Delivery driver was super nice and practiced social distancing like a champ! Will definitely be reordering again since Im back on nights and in delivery range!

They put my ice cream in a box... And I could hear them acting foolish in the back the entire time I was waiting on my order. Very unprofessional, and the cookies were ok.

Edited to add: Ive been waiting on my order for almost 24 hours now. Its been rescheduled twice.The cookies here are great, and they should be for the price, but dont waste your time on delivery. I had an order placed before midnight last night. Come 1:30am I was still waiting and called their helpline. The lady on the phone was great and got in touch with the manager of the store, who told her they tried to contact me and got no response (ringer on high, no missed calls, no messages, but technology is weird sometimes so whatever) because they needed to make a substitution on my order. By the time I called, the drivers had all gone home, so they rescheduled the delivery for today at 1pm. Its past 2pm now and my order is still reading as having not even been made yet. I rarely go out of my way to file a complaint AND leave a bad review, but this is ridiculous. I should not have to wait 14+ HOURS for a cookie order to be delivered.

Insomnia cookies is a great place to grab something sweet late at night. The cookies always seem to be fresh, and the staff is friendly enough. However, the prices to some might be a bit high.Something else to consider is the area of town it is in. Especially late at night, considering it’s near multiple bars. Be ready to be standing next to some drunk people late at night trying to figure out what a cookie even is. It’s happened to me multiple times. That being said, the cookies are good enough I will be back! Despite the late night drunk clientele. 😂

Horrible experience. I understand with the pandemic orders can be delayed but seriously. Almost 3 hours with no contact to even let me know what was going on. Placed a delivery order at 3pm to be delivered at 4pm. Didnt get it till 630pm. When calling to inquire about my order no one answered. The 2 times I finally got answers after being on hold almost 20 minutes I was hung up on both times. Then my order was wrong once it was delivered. Never again will I go here.

I made a pick up order and told them Id be there at 10:30 to pick it up. Called them on the curbside pickup phone line and got no answer. Walked in the store and no ones order was taken for 5 minutes. I was there for almost 15 minutes and I still couldnt tell anyone I was there for my PICKUP order. I left because I was running late for work and decided to call yet again and I still got no answer. They took my money and refused to answer the phone. If 0 stars was an option Id give them that

Cookies are good, but the last 2 times Ive called for curbside pickup, Ive been left sitting in my car for 30+ minutes. The last time I picked up, it seemed like whoever was working was trying to empty out the store before coming out and giving me my order. After I pulled up, at least 6 other people must have gone in, ordered, and walked out with there food. I choose a pickup time for a reason. If my order is not going to be ready anywhere close to the time I asked for, and I still have to wait, I dont see the purpose of doing pickup. I ordered at 1030am for a 530pm pick up time. There was plenty of time to have my order ready. These wait times are getting absolutely ridiculous.

The cookies and ice cream are good, but I feel like you dont get the amount for the value. Also, the cookiewich doesnt come as advertised; the presentation is not nearly as nice. Its cool to say Ive been there, but nothing is drawing me back, really.

Upon arriving I tried to place a call in order but unfortunately I was unable to, due to my calls being dropped without a call back. I got there and stood in line for about 30 minutes, after about 45 mins I successfully placed and online order that. The employee then pull out of line to inform me that they cant find my order (How do you know my name?) if you cant find my order. I showed them the confirmation number and a receipt via cash app. Instead of the manager asking whats the confirmation number she tells me to call my bank and dispute my transaction without any other options. Yes! I became frustrated because in my opinion there was no professionalism nor customer service. None of the staff had on gloves nor hairnets. They were utterly rude and disrespectful and had me waiting from 10pm to 12am. When my order was completed they failed to bring it to the curb due to the staff having multiple attitudes that displayed upon their facial expressions. In my opinion, insomnia cookies should build a whole new (night) staff, reading previous comments this shouldve happend months ago. I also seen the Now Hiring job sign in the window and thought about applying but I will never work alongside employees without previous customer service experience and nor training. I am very disappointed ☹️ I gave one star because it did not let me post without any stars, so in all reality you get {0} stars

I drove in from Montgomery to Bham. Cashier wasnt the friendliest but the caucasian lady came out and spoke to us as she was straightening out the display. I havent tasted the cookies yet,I hope they are good.

I was not please today by the customer service that was given by the young lady on the register. It took 20mins before my order got rung up. The young man from the back took and prepared my order by the name of Reginald. However the young lady actually that was on the register didnt inform me she was going to count the register down before taking my order and continued counting the drawer extremely slow as if she didnt want to be at work. Then she informed us that it was the register that was moving slow. She walked away from the register,answered a phone call all while myself and others continued to wait. They were out of vanilla icecream as well as about five different cookies.No one wanted the icecream that they were offering today as well as the limit choices of cookies. Please consider giving more training in customer service. The line was out the door and almost to the corner due to someone complaining about work. I have had a more pleasant experience here but today there were to many employees complaining and the young lady on the register should have just went home. Thank you Reginald that actually prepared my order and who was very understanding towards myself and the other customers.

And for the night owls, this place is open at wee hours of the night/morning.Cons: While these are delicious, and chewy and freshly baked cookies, and while they do earn 4 stars for that, I cant justify paying $8.00 for 6 cookies. I.just.cant. I mean, dont get me wrong, they were delicious. But way overpriced. I had the sugar, oatmeal raisin and white chocolate macadamia nut. My date had the other three. They were average size large cookies. Nothing more, nothing less.In a nutshell: Ill stick to Subway. But give them a try. Just make sure youre ready to splurge.

Came by here after dinner for some dessert. It was our first time here. The employees were quite helpful and kind of walked us through everything, explained how things work and let us sample the ice cream.My cookie was so warm and fresh, just out of the oven. I love a nice chewy cookie that doesnt break apart. It held nicely between the ice cream. Ice cream wasnt too hard or frozen, it was smooth and not overly sweet. I really enjoyed my ice cream cookie.

Think of it as cookie and ice cream bar. They have a pretty diverse selection of cookies past the normal flavors. Regular sized and a larger option. I ordered the chocolate mint and it was amazingly delicious. The cookies are warm and melt in your mouth. I found the staff to be very friendly. No place to sit so expect to be in and out. Worth the trip. There isnt much in the way of parking so plan ahead. Its worth it!

You get to only because the cookies are great but the older lady and the younger man that work the late shift can be very rude and a bit disrespectful. I try and explain that not just me the whole lobby of guess that was there to get cookies come go a long way without his attitude I wont be back here till I actually talk with management. Its sad this is a call in for 2am the day of and its 312 and Im just now getting my cookies this is not ok!

Cookies were great, workers good. Had to break up a fight between a homeless guy and a patron because the cookies the patron bought the homeless guy weren’t enough. I went to insomnia cookies at night around 11:30pm and the staff attitude was horrible. I didn’t even want the cookies and ice cream anymore just a full refund. I didn’t get their names because I was so upset but they need to train there staff on customer service.

Great place for a sweet treat

Some of their employees are just sorry! One heavy set guy in particular. Instead of trying to get people in and out they stand around talking and on phones. It really sucks!!! Especially if youre doing postmates or door dash as no one asks if you have a to go order so they can just hand u the box, instead of waiting forever!

Insomnia is a favorite in my office. Warm cookie delivery is hard to beat! They are also the only cookie delivery available without using a secondary delivery option and paying additional fees. Every cookie Ive had has been great. They also can make a cookie cake of any kind. Only downside is how greasy the cookies can be.

Love this place, great people fun experience. Plus they will literally bring you hot fresh cookies at 2 in the morning. I am vegan now so it would be really cool if they had a vegan option, but its a great place for sure!

The cookies are really good if you can physically go get them . Twice now Ive placed an order for delivery and they never showed up. The online chat wasnt very concerned with my order not coming and just issued a refund without asking for any feedback.

The cookies were fresh and warm making them ooey gooey and delicious. They also sell milk (1%, 2%, skim, etc) that pairs perfectly with the cookies. The staff was really friendly and patient while we were deciding what we wanted. My only issue with it and the reason Im giving it 4*s is because of the location. Its not in a terrible area but the parking area for the shop behind the building is not a particularly safe feeling place especially at night.All in all the shop is fantastic but the parking area is less than desirable.

A late night cookie and ice cream place amidst one of Birminghams nightlife areas. Not cheaply made either, but actual good ingredients used. Worth a visit if you need a late sugar fix.

Past 2 attempts at getting a delivery, the wait time has been outrageous. Website estimates 30-45 minutes and 2-3 hrs later...NOTHING!

The staff were really friendly and the place smells like confectionary heaven. The location is prime and the atmosphere was very warm. If you can get through the throngs of Five Points then its definitely a must eat location for dessert or a sweet snack.
