I had a pleasant experience working with Shantel, in the flooring department at the Inverness, Al location.Shantel was very helpful in assisting me to select the best flooring for my home renovation project. She was very knowledgeable and offered so much helpful information.I really love my new Luxury Vinyl Plank flooring! I would recommend this product, by Home Decorators Collection.I also highly recommend the Home Depot, for flooring installation projects.
Wonderful! We were helped by 3 different employees! I am clueless in any hardware store so this is very comforting. Thank you to Shandra, Brenda, and Jeremy for your professionalism and guidance!!!
These guys are great! I had paid for an order over the phone and ended up being late to pick it up. So I called and the staff agreed to get my order together and put it outside the Contractor Entrance. When I got there they had handpicked the best lumber and everything was exactly as it should be.Thanks guys
I much more likely to go here than Lowes. You can find help easier. You even get asked if you need help.
Always have friendly people here. Im pretty sure sufficient but they know the store better and willing to help find something if they dont know where it is. Have never left here disappointed or without something I needed.
I walked in door and was greeted by Emily Evan. She was very knowledgeable about materials I was looking for. She walked me to area concluded service and asked if she could help anything else. As a past small business owner, she is the type employee I would want. She has great attitude and willingness to help.
I will never go back to Lowe’s again! I stopped in here to get one can of paint matched from a previous home owner and ended up getting the rest of our paint and other stuff here, too. The girl at the paint counter was amazing - offered to help me pick out colors and everything. She probably spent 20 minutes at least with just me alone and was very patient. EVERY employee I passed either offered to help or said something to me - love the customer service here. I’m more than willing to drive further down the road for better service, because Lowe’s has nothing on this place. Highly recommend this Home Depot!
Bryan works in the Tool Rental department and he’s the man.My basement flooded, so I needed to rent equipment to fix the water damage. Bryan took his time to talk me through my options and get me the tools I needed. He genuinely cared about my situation and I can’t thank him enough for the help. Give that dude a raise!
The woman in the Garden center rocks. Can’t think of her name however the last three times I’ve shopped she has gone beyond most. It’s irregular to have someone actually make you feel as if they care. Oh and she’s as strong as the men there. I look for her each time and will continue to every time I shop. I’m going back today will update with her name as you should definitely have her assist you.Her name is Sam she was even more helpful and extremely nice this time.
Friendly, well stocked, good products at good prices. Often the high point of my day is going to Home Depot!
Placed an order with the Hoover store and the delivery took longer than expected. Spoke with a customer service representative at the front desk named Tameka. She provided EXCELLENT customer service and followed up with me to make sure everything was received based on the information she provided.
I think employees should have some type of knowledge or skill related to home improvement before being hired.
Needed just one item and went to customer service and gave me the wrong direction to my item . I found a worker along the way and she took me right to the item. Parking lot was not full and found a nice spot. The garden section had a nice selection of plants and flowers.
Love Home Depot. Have been a regular customer for over 20 years.
Wonderful store. Classy employees. Very kind
Well seeing that I do there flooring my complaints and your complaints will be different. But they are really exceptionally outstanding in their flooring tile & hard surfaces. And they dont lie when they say you dont pay anything extra extra where you getting your floors laid cuz youve already paid it!just hit me up on here and Ill save you some money.just in case you want to see how good and well home Depot lays their floors and their backsplashes I can show you
Small location compared to other stores in the region but staff are always nice
Im here way too often and they keep me happy.
Visited the garden area & purchased plants & soil. Plants were mostly in good condition & well stocked. Cashier was friendly & checkout was fast.
Just a quick trip to get a key made. The man who helped me and the woman who checked me out were very nice. Customer service is so important. As far as the store is concerned, very clean, well stocked in the front area with items for covid safety needs.I can always find more than I need at Home Depot. 😁 I had to leave quickly today to avoid grabbing a few extra things. 😏
A few weeks back we needed a washer/dryer and Kim from the appliance section was incredible at her job. She made every effort to help us through the entire process and really took care of us. She honestly deserves a gold medal for how much she did to make sure everything was right. If you ever need appliances Kim is your woman.
I was looking for recessed lighting pieces and the first store I went to didnt have any. The Hwy 280 location had some items in stock showing online. When I got to the Hwu 280 store I had a difficult time finding the items I needed. Three associates spent quite a bit of time helping me until we found what I was looking for. I dont know their names, but Im very grateful to them!
Another great experience. Kelvin, at the Customer Service desk was very helpful doing my returns. Thanks!!!
I think that home Depot is an excellent place to need things go and get things for your home office or whatever it may be they have it all and theyre very helpful
Home Depot needs to have their “outdoor” related departments better staffed on the weekends. Tried to buy wicker outdoor chairs at Inverness location on Sunday afternoon but no one was around to help us locate them. I do want to give a big shout out to Antwuan Calhoun from another department for trying to help us to locate the 22 chairs shown on line in stock. He went above and beyond in his search. Alas, the chairs were no where to be found. After an hour’s search he told us to check back tomorrow; he was determined to find them. Great customer service from him; poor staffing by store manager.
Kim was very helpful with the purchase of a new stove. Cindy is helping us with a custom order
Great service. Friendly employees
It is the best Home Depot location Ive encountered, and there are a lot of good Home Depot locations out there. The excellent service at Inverness makes a big difference, whether in the store or on the telephone. Everyone in the store asks proactively if I need help. Phone calls are easy to navigate. They all have strong product knowledge too and they show pride in their jobs.
Easy in and out. Not too busy at lunch. Self checkout is the way to go. Fast transaction.
Always love my trips to Home Depot... staff and inventory never disappoints...
I wanted to thank Jared in the Blinds department for his dedication to ensure that my blinds were cut correctly. He did an excellent job and I will be going to him for all future projects.
Wonderful customer service and Frank was going above and beyond
Went at 7pm. To buy a new range. After trying to get help for 45 mins. Left, no one could help in an empty store. Just bought it online from best buy. 2 dollars more. But. Almost a thousand 💵 purchase. Wish I didnt waste my time at HD.
They always have what Im looking for and they always have the friendliest and helpful staff
I went out of my way because I was told a product was available and of course it wasnt. All that was available was a similar and of course more expensive item.
A little bit slow but good experience. I had a key cut to the lock I bought.
Super friendly staff! Very helpful and happy people!
The toughest part is getting here! But definitely worth the effort because the staff is very helpful, the store is well-organized, and theyve got great prices. If youre heading westbound on 280, no problem. However, if you are headed eastbound there are only two ways to get to the store and neither are a direct left turn. You either have to 1) turn right on Cahaba Heights and do a quick u-turn, then cross 280 or 2) continue past the Home Depot and get into the double left U-turn Lanes and do a u-turn on 280, then turn right on Cahaba Heights, then turn left into the Home Depot parking lot. Side note - veuve got a taxi truck in the back of the parking lot that is one of the best in Birmingham. 🌮🌮🌮
My favorite home depot best staff
Had to have a covered truck. Got a van . No hassle at all. Very fair pricing. And the customer service was great. Special shout out to Bryan. Thanks
Using the Home Depot phone app, I found the products I was searching for, and the app told me the location of these products by aisle and bay in this particular store. I walked in, got the items exactly where the app said they’d be, went speedily through the self-checkout line, and walked out. In between, several of the friendly employees asked if I needed assistance, which I didn’t because of the solid information in the app.
Great customer service.
Great place to shop for house goods friendly people that will help you find anything in the store
Its Labor Day weekend its time to put down the fertilizer.
They have just about everything I need
Better customer service than Lowes
Fast food. The counter staff is pleasant. One lady who addresses her regular customers by name. She gives the place a much friendlier vibe.
Curbside pickup was great! I usually like to do my own thing but this sure saved me some time.
Great customer service. Young man Jermail called me and notified me an item i ordered was out and gave me the option of shopping for other items. He was so kind and friendly, give him a raise.. Great job and i love the curb side service
Friendly service, fast. The best in Alabama.Service good as a great stake home 🏡 cook 👌
Nice people.great service
So kind so helpful night and day from the Horrors we experienced yesterday diff H.D. lady so nice. I ll update gotta grab her name I ll be back.Highly recomend
Very friendly, helpful staff.
Very good service
The workers at this Home Depot are very friendly and helpful.
Store is not enforcing the countys mandate requiring the wearing of your mask. Well see if the states mandate to wear the mask will be enforced by Home Depot. At the 280 location, people just freely walk in the store with no mask on. Even the Ops Manager wasnt wearing his mask today.I know making the almighty dollar is very important but you would think safety would be important as well.
The store could use some better signage and actual product matching.
I didnt find everything I was looking for, but the cashier was very sweet so I left happy!
Found a clearance dishwasher. Exactly what we wanted. Excellent deal.
No cashiers. The light for register 3 was on but I was required to self check out. There were plenty of employees walking around talking to each other. I dont mind checking myself out if I have one or two items or if Im not alone, but I should be given a choice.
Competitive prices, staff leaves you alone to shop.
Bought a fridge! Bob was great!
I like Home Depot...its close and the people that work there know us by name. They are always very helpful.
Easy to navigate... Staff very helpful, but inventory a little slim right now... Overall good experience for a store in an area Im not used to!
Its a well run home depot. My only wish is that they accepted apple pay at the check out.
I was assisted by Shantell Herbert who cut four wire shelves for me and was all smiles and helpful. I held the shelve and she did the cutting. We had a good time bantering back and forth as we worked. Great Associate!
Safe, helpful staff, clean restroom and had what I needed.
I ordered a chainsaw online. I was called and told that I had to re-order a smaller sized chainsaw due to my selected size being out of stock. Why? Because they had no way of refunding the difference if they gave me a smaller chainsaw. Its 2020, but whatever, I did as I was instructed by the Home Depot representative and ordered the smaller chainsaw, which they said they had plenty in stock. 20 minutes later, I get another call stating they are out of my selected chainsaw. To make matters worse, the employee that called me the second time around was completely dismissive of my frustration at this complete lack of staff knowledge of their own inventory. This would be far less infuriating if I wasnt going to help my parents (who I am getting the chainsaw for) and grandparents on the Gulf Coast with Hurricane Sally clean up.Consider me a Lowes guy from this point forward.
Clean, well organized. Staff helpful. Had what we needed.
1st self check out now no inventory buy online have it shipped when you need it now, its getting ridiculous
Great selection of tools but customer service needs a lot of work only recommend if you know exactly what you are going for
For a long time, I have sworn by my local Home Depot compared to the Lowes or the other home improvement stores near by (Valleydale Lowes, Pelham HD, crestwood HD, etc).Today I went in to try and warranty two Razorback trenching shovels. They are the only shovels they stock which claim a life time warranty. The signage is all over the place on the isle with shovels, tampers, etc.I brought the shovels to customer service. The customer service rep listens to me then proceeds to walk around with my shovels for ten minutes while assisting other customers, I was then was told I had to contact the manufacturer directly - oh well, not the end of the world. I asked to leave the shovels at customer service while I go and find another.I decided to purchase another trenching shovel as I needed it for a project. They no longer stock/ carry the model I had, but instead had a wood handle variant with a curved blade from the same manufacture. I purchase at self check out as they only have a single person working a register at the end of the store by lumber/ the Pro desk. I made my purchase and walked back around to customer service to get my two broken shovels. After walking out of the store, I am chased in the parking lot by the SAME woman who assisted me barking at me telling me I needed to pay for my shovels. Well, they are broken, used, and I tell her I purchased this new one. She is asking who I purchased it from, disbelieving I purchased it at self check out. She huffed at me after I told her to read the SKU on the shovel as well as the receipt then said, Make sure you call customer service about those shovels.I called Razorback - they are not talking phone calls because of the COVID-19 pandemic. I supposed the closed their customer service line but they still seem to be distributing product.I understand Home Depot cant help with the warranty directly. But if this is the case - dont make it a big sales pitch and put large signs and bins everywhere boasting the warranty. Im mostly disappointed in my overall experience with this particular Home Depot recently. The sales associates I used to talk to/ work with in the bid rooms and at the local store no longer work here, and my experience in store has been sub par.I sent Razorback an email as instructed by their phone system. Hopefully they respond with something positive, Ill update my review if they do.In the mean time, I will be purchasing another Kobalt brand shovel from Lowes directly as I know they honor their warranties for their own in house brands in the stores. - That being said, Home Depot has been much easier to bid out large quantities of items over Lowes in the past for things such as lumber, concrete, rebar, etc. I will likely continue to use them for such services simply due to pricing.
Im not impressed by this company to begin with and the 280 location is just the same. Listless employees standing or zombie-ing their way around the store. Nobody looked at me or spoke. The selection is skimpy in some areas and hardly anyone working.
I Love Home Depot! I shop at All of them. The Customer Service is Second to None!
Great selection for garden plants
Better prices and customer service than Lowe’s. This store has particularly helpful employees and is my favorite Home Depot to go to.
Nice people working there...
I shop there all the time for my supplies as well as my personal projects. They are a.pretty good.place to shop.
We bought this amazing fridge Kim the salesperson was amazing she helped us all the way through the decision for such an expensive refrigerator it really made it easy
Always helpful, good selection and prices .
Everything you need to get the job done right!
Great selection and great staff
Always has what I am looking for. Sometimes a little disorganized because of how busy it is. Other than that, can usually find good help when needed.
They had what i needed and they priced matched!!!!
Thank you to Shauntelle and the Home Depot staff for going above and beyond to make my bathroom tile a reality! It was so nice to speak with such a friendly associate. Thanks so much!
Great products slow on customer service. Not enough employees in store
Went to Home Depot for garden center items. Found everything I needed.
Governor of Alabama requires a mask be worn in public until end of month. Several people in Home Depot didnt have on mask. No one checking for mask. Follow Walmart they make sure all have mask.
Ive sent 3 emails this week and have not had a response. I was assigned case #12751984 from Cheryl and she said she would call me back.I am incredibly disappointed in how Home Depot has handled this. The sympathy Ive received on store level is nice, but it didnt fix the problem.10 days is more than 72 hours. Your problem is Romanoff Renovations Do you look at their Google complaints? They’re off the chart. Why do you allow them to muddy your good name?First Missed Opportunity to meet 72 hour Express carpet program: I was told on the phone with the measuring department called, that my order would be installed Friday 9/28 because I paid before the assigned time early Tuesday. Gillian in the Inverness store told me my carpet would be installed Friday, 9/28. She showed me the point of sale graphic that had the times on it. They said that I would get a follow up email from Romanoff with the time frame for Friday. I arranged to be home Friday (Day 1)Second Missed Opportunity to meet the 72 hour Express carpet program: I received an email instead confirming a delivery for Monday. I had a meeting Monday that I couldnt miss. I told Romanoff that I couldnt make that date, and Id already burned one day due to their inability to find a crew. They said (see screen shot below) that if I couldnt take it Monday, October 1, I couldnt get it until November 12th! I spent hours going back and forth between HD Inverness, Gillian, other store employees and Romanoff. Finally, they were able to put together a crew to do Wednesday. Tracy at Romanoff was incredibly rude about this. But to be clear, I wasnt happy at this point either. Her attitude did not help. (Day 2)Third Missed Opportunity to meet the 72 hour Express carpet program: I arranged to be home Wednesday morning. My very dear, older parents drove 237 miles from Hernando, Mississippi to sit and wait during the rest of the day. This was an unplanned trip for them, and they came soley to sit with the carpet people so I didnt have to miss another day. So, the morning of Oct 1, I received the email pictured below of the lead installer. Two men arrived sometime after 9. There was another man at the curb, but I never saw him. The two men came into my house and said they couldnt stay because they had an appointment in Ft Payne. They could only tear carpet out and had to come back another day?? First Id heard of it, and I never saw the man Romanoff told me would be the installer. The guys werent in the house long and very distracted and complained that theyd only found out about the job last night and I was lucky they were there at all. One of the guys that came in had those prison tear drop tattoos down his face. Im not against tattoos, my husband has lots. But prison tattoos?? I felt very uncomfortable.I told the men I was told the team would finish in it Wednesday and itd take about 5 hours. Once guy said No, Im going to Ft Payne, I have an appointment. I said, yeah, so do I....with Romanoff to have my carpet installed, this is unacceptable. They said theyd go to the van and call their boss. Then when I thought they were outside talking to her...THEY LEFT MY HOUSE?? Except they told their manager that Id asked them to leave. Nothing could be further from the truth. They were at my house with my carpet. Why would I ask them to leave after all Id gone through to have someone there? I told him to see if Romanoff could send over another guy for when he had his appointment in Ft Payne.Fourth Missed Opportunity to meet the 72 hour Express carpet program: Because we were told to take apart our bed and remove it from the room, we have had to move our bed EACH TIME . I have moved our extremely heavy memory foam mattress back and forth 3 times! The carpet was finally installed today. (Day 3) I still have heard nothing from Home Depots customer service depart. But I will happily amend this 1 rating if someone will actually contact me back with information on compensation for this fiasco. Please make this right, HD
Start going here instead of Lowes.
Awesome variety for your garden.
I liked this store until I needed some help in the lamp department. I had to ask a random employee to help me. I regretted stopping this employee as I got closer to him. He looked as if he was mad at the world. He let me know that he knew nothing about lamps and he was on his break. He did not offer to help me find someone because he was obviously in a heated discussion on his phone. I did not notice a name tag so I asked him his name as he walked off. He turned and glared at me but finally told me his name was Chase. I could have found his name by telling management that he was the employee that is covered in tatoos. I am shocked that Home Depot has such a rude and obnoxious employee. I told a man in front of the store what happened with Chase and asked him where I could make a complaint. He shrugged his shoulders and went back to work. .I know that I should ignore what happened with Chase but I have never been talked to and treated so rudely as I was treated by this employee.
They have a lot of inventory, but its hard to get to when you have large ladders blocking off isles or sections of a wall where you have to take a long detour only to squeeze past it and grab what you need. I would ask an employee to help, but they are all too busy avoiding eye contact and literally running away from everyone to avoid questions. Except the ladies at the checkout registers. They are super helpful with telling you to scan your items, to press okay, and to place your items in the bag.
Always a great experience, the bugs in the miracle grow is annoying
Easy to find whatever I may be in search of. Friendly informative staff.
I spoke with the plant representative for Coastal Farms in your Nursery area. He was extremely nice knowledgeable. The experience was great.
