Lush gelato has so many amazing flavors. Its been a long time since I came back and its still as good. The lemon sorbet with dark chocolate was heavenly. We also got the malt milk with chocolate chunks. I remember the last time I came here, I got the earl grey flavor because it tasted just like boba milk tea without the boba. Lush Gelato is hands down the best with their variety and execution on flavors.

We were there tonight after dinner. The gelato looked good. They need to limit samples to no more than three or four. Two kids were asking to sample everything and were talking as if there is no one else in line. We finally gave up and left after waiting 10-15 minutes with our toddler who wanted ice cream. Or, she should have started to offer us samples, because we would have been very quick to order.

Absolutely great. Really enjoyed the almond crunch whiskey, and the lady loved her Vietnamese cinnamon. Well be back for more soon!

Good ice cream but sadly I couldn’t even enjoy the ice cream because of the horrible service. The woman working was extremely rude to us. She had no tolerance for us discussing amongst ourselves what we wanted to order and when a miscommunication happened between us and her she stared at us angrily and then hissed at us “What do you want!?”. Then she annoyingly took down our order (which she got wrong btw) and rudely said “enjoy” before leaving. I have almost never written a review for anything but this service left us so upset and is unacceptable.

Its ok, but there are much better gelato choices on the same street.

I went to this ice cream place that to start with gave very mediocre scoops for an insane price, and gave me change that was eleven dollars short, and then continually denied it, finally they gave us the eleven dollars. And then acted as if we were doing something unacceptable, completely absurd.

I say this as a die-hard ice cream afficionado - this is the best gelato in the Bay area, hands down.Unfortunately they recently raised their prices pretty significantly - closer to SF pricing, which makes me sad - but I think its still worth the trip.

Our gelato was delicious and we enjoyed the pretty outdoor seating. Next time we might also grab a meal from nearby restaurants and eat in that same pretty outdoor seating.

This is a hidden gem! Youll find them in the back end of Epicurious Garden. I usually grab my gelato and step right out into the shared garden in back. Honey cardamon and Tahitian vanilla are probably at the top of my list. They rotate their flavors, so dont be disappointed if what youre looking for isnt there. Just try new flavors and youre bound to find a new favorite.

Lush is terrific and apparently the only gelato place in the Gourmet Ghetto that makes its own base. In any other city Ive ever been to, it would unquestionably earn five stars, but the competitions tougher in Berkeley and I have to say I like Almare better. That said: cant go wrong at lush.

OMG. Creme fraiche strawberry balsamic is insanely delicious. All of the other flavors sounded wonderful too, such a hard decision. Ill just have to try them all. Friendly service too.

Drove here bc reviews - looks sloppy and unsanitary (ice cream dropped around), ended up not buying. Would not recommend.

Gelato Genius!

Im sold. Yeah, so there are some folks who like ice cream, some who prefer gelato. Im telling you that whatever your preference, you will LOVE this spot.Fantastic creative flavors that I hadnt spotted anywhere else. Like chamomile tea frinstance. Or the one I indulged on today butterscotch chocolate espresso. Dark chocolate pieces throughout - and the good kind too. Also had the lemon zest ricotta. Wow. Amazing.Located in that underground-feeling group of shops off Shattuck, there are only two stools to sit on. However walking around this area of Berkeley there are lots of sunny spots to sit and enjoy your gelato.One scoop will set you back $3 and two scoops for $3.85. Do the two scoops you will feel happier.
