Their Iced Cappuccino is the guilty pleasure (just an iced latte but the milk is steamed) that got me through the quarantinetheir espresso blend is also fantastic. I wish they offered to pull more single-origin espresso in the shop
Best flat white in the East Bay ☕️
Lovely, hand-crafted espresso drinks and excellent pastries from delightful folks
Great coffee and good vibe!
Ive been waiting for this one!Beautiful space with some powerful art in the stunning back room. Quality espresso although they only had a blend. Its been so long I dont remember if the Cow Hollow cafe ever has seasonal, but for me its absence is a real bummer.Staff was great and had a good time, recommended for sure.
Really thoughtful spot. Focus is on batch brew, which keeps prices reasonable (for third wave coffee in the bay). Espresso drinks are really good. Great music up front, quiet study vibes in the back.
Great cortado! Its a popular spot though and when I arrived every seat with access to a table was taken (would estimate there are about 14-18 total chairs to sit with access to a table top) - if you need a seat, would recommend checking around before you get your coffee, otherwise you might end up languishing on the white bench against the wall with a laptop on your knees watching, hawk-like, for a table to snatch from some departing soul.
Best espresso in the gourmet ghetto
A very nice place, with a well-designed living room, spacious atmosphere and soothing elevator music. The old table lamps were a nice addition. It seems they have high-end coffees but it is not overly expensive as a cafe. A good place for wifi or reading.
Ive never been there before but it looks awsome
We loved the look and layout, beautiful space! It was close to closing time, seems like a good place to study, quiet and comfortable. We ordered a cup of drip coffee which was Yirgachefe Roba Family - it tasted fantastic so we also bought a bag of freshly roasted beans to take home as well as a couple chocolates from a small craft chocolate maker that are some of the best chocolates we’ve ever tasted.
Went there for the first time, coffee was awesome...it is a long drive for me, but I will definitely make it out there over the weekends to taste their coffee
Wrecking Ball is as much an ethos as it is a coffee shop. Co-founders Nick Cho and Trish Rothgeb have a perspective on culture, community and coffee. The newest Wrecking Ball location on Shattuck in Berkeley feels a bit too much grey until you get a peek of the stunning mural in the mezzanine. Wrecking Ball is one of my favorite Bay Area roasters and if you spend some time in any of their locations some of their ideals might just seep into you as you sip on your espresso.
This is not a good addition to the neighborhood. Its not warm or friendly like most of the places in Berkeley and the interior is almost sterile and utilitarian. The coffee is nothing special as there are plenty of places to get delicious coffee. The owner (Cho) doesnt seem to embrace the neighborhood or its history and style as reflected by the ambience.
Excellent service, great food and drinks, wonderful chill atmosphere! The baristas are so nice and friendly. The chocolate croissants are incredible. The matcha lattes are delicious. The back room is a great place to hang out. Totally reccomend!!!
Honestly, the best coffee in North Berkeley. Its also the ideal Cafe to work from. They sell various types of whole coffee beans as well. Highly recommend
Pricy but great coffee
Good Coffee, but the coffee comes with a side of attitude. I have been there twice but the person who makes the coffee looks like that he is there by force not nice at all.
Nice place for studying. Quite and clean.
Great coffee, awesome people and nice ambience
Who said we needed a miley cyrus themed cafe?
Solid coffee in a beautiful space.
Great coffee and an amazing atmosphere!!
Just not good.
Hated the vibes (think library) and I honestly thought the coffee was instant coffee.
Nice study place but nasty bathrooms!!
Always on point and dialed in.
Good
