I came here in the evening time on a Friday. The staff was friendly and greeted me when I walked in. I ordered my usual drink and was in and out in minutes. Highly recommend this location, I’ll definitely be back.

Starbucks always been my favorite. I tried this Starbucks for the first time. Well I wont comment on the menu as everyone have their preference. One good thing about this place is fast service!

One of the best run Starbucks I have been to. Customer service here is amazing and they always seem fully staffed. Manager here is great as well and will open the door when I exit when I have a large order. Staff also sets expectations for wait times when they are very busy. I hope all Starbucks can be run like this as we hopefully get back to normal.

Everything you expect from the standard Starbucks experience. Consistent with their drinks, but the wait is a bit too long for me.

Very nice remodeled Starbucks. I like the new shelves. They dont stick out, but are inserted into the wall. Theres limited seating here. I saw a notice on the wall to be careful of your belongings. With the limited seating and possible stealing of personal property, Ill buy my drinks here and drink it elsewhere.

Customer service here is excellent! James the manager does an excellent job with his staff, providing a quality product in a timely manner. We love this place and we will definitely be back.

Service was alright, matcha latte was made terribly and the remade drink was equally bad but the violet drink was alright, so I guess premixed drinks are fine which doesn’t require much skill.

Very dissatisfied. I put in my order and when she read it back to me, it was wrong. I corrected the order with her and she read it back to me it was correct. I grabbed my drinks and went to my conference. BOTH drinks were undrinkable. My Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold brew was not sweet. Completely bitter. Husbands drinks was gross. He wanted extra cream and 4 splendas in his trenta iced coffee . No sweetner. Lables read correctly on the cups. Since Im at a conference, I can not return and get them remade. Ive never had such poor drinks from a Starbucks.

Always Great Friendly Customer Service

Almost every day I go to the Starbuck that is my favorite place, but today is horrible day in Starbuck because there no customers only me so I ordered a frappuccino Im waiting for 10 minutes after end I got like half cup no full. Berkeley near the shattuck cinema.

This is by far the worst Starbucks Ive ever been in. Nothing but hard wooden chairs, no creature comforts, noisy. I hasten to add the staff are not responsible for this problem. On the contrary they do all they can to be welcoming and helpful. Its just there arent enough of them. Thats why tables are sticky, refuse takes a long time to clean up, etc. The very nice young guy who made my coffee also had to clean up. He and one other guy were the full complement in a peak hour. They did their best. Its a far cry from the Starbucks that has arm chairs and reading lights for its customers. I go there because I like their espresso. I could care less about flavoured lattes with or without all sorts of boutiquily-named additives topped with cholesterol nightmare. I just like the plain espresso. But they leave nowhere to enjoy it. At least in this version of Starbucks.

The worst Starbucks I have ever been, I ordered a dark roasted coffee it tasted like warm water. And while I was adding cream and sugar to my coffee a man just pushed me out of the way to digs into the trash can to get a left over drink from another customer and took the cream from the counter to add into his dirty cup from the trash. Will not be back.

I order the drink that I frequently order. I said add less sugar but it tastes way too sweet. The drink from any other shop is not that sweet.

This is a decent Starbucks. Could definitely benefit from better seating / plugs / more open restrooms, but cant blame them (definitely a university Starbucks). Has the standard Starbucks menu.

O hadnt been to a Starbucks in at least six months but was pleasantly surprised. My coffee was hot and strong. Friendly staff.

No complaints, I ordered ahead and was in and out. Thankful that they were open at 5am on Easter lol. Looked pretty clean and only one other person there at that time (of course, it was Easter Sunday). Drink was ready in a timely manner!

Go to the one on center a block away. Much friendlier and has helpful employees. The one here was about as helpful as a dripping water faucet when I asked her where I can find a restroom after purchasing my coffee.

Great Starbucks. Hard working staff, quiet environment, and clean bathroom as well. Plugging in phones or laptops may be a bit limited, but besides that, no negative vibes experienced or noticed whatsoever.

Good place to get Starbuckss Coffee. I like to go there for studying and computer work. its a little bit more quiet then the one in Center st.

Cons-Bathroom was dirty but not as horrible as it could have been given all the local homeless people that need to use it.Pros- Customer service was very nice, morning are better when someone says Good morning with a big smile on their face. Makes you smile when your leaving to continue on with your day.

Favorite Starbucks location in town!

Spent the weekend in downtown Berkeley. Probably went here 3-4 times. Drinks were well-made, tasty, and quick. Had both hot and iced drinks.

Great service and of course the Americano rocks!

It is an OK option. I prefer Peets though.

A bit crowded, but with perfectly consistent coffee. The internet here is better than neighboring coffeehouses. Kind of small.

This probably is the worst Starbucks Ive been to. Filthy floor, slow service and unfriendly staff. This place is serving food but the smell of urine is strong. To be honest, a bit disgusting. Not recommended.

Not a great location - they let people live outside the door and harass you as you try to get in and out of the store. Needs security. The staff are nice but the store needs serious attention.

I got a coffee and nothing terrible happened.

Purchased a ham and cheese croissant, waited 15 minutes to be told they are out. There was a manager training new people, everything a mess, cant believe how unpleasant my experience was.

Not all Starbucks are equal - at this particular location, Ive found that they generally make good drinks but the customer service is lacking. We went there on a Saturday morning around 9am or so and it was busy but moving. There were five items total in my order and it took about 20 minutes to get them all. Customers that came in after us had their orders in full before we did so while those customers probably have no complaints about the timeliness of customer service, I would say that a little more organization is needed. I even asked about the items in my order to make sure it wasnt my mistake and that the barista had heard me correctly. She seemed annoyed and then after having waited all that time, they made the wrong drink anyway. Ive had consistently friendly customer service at just as busy times at other Starbucks in the area so Ill avoid this one next time.

Service is always good. Barista made drinks are always spot on. But, minus 1 star- they have wireless charging but no way to charge your phone since they arent allowed to buy the charging rings to connect. Corporate should have at least thought that through and have outlets available or that work at the very least.

Rude male server. I say hello, Im ignored. Ok, he had a bad day. I ordered coffee, asked room for milk and not a word. And I get a full cup. Yes, he heard me because when I spoke he just looked at me and it was past noon so the store was quiet enough. Im also assuming he knows English because he is white.

The staff are friendly, relatively clean considering the amount of people who frequent it. I suggest doing a mobile order if you dont want to wait in line

Clearly not one if the better run Starbucks. Ive only had three experiences here so far (many alternative coffee options in the area) but I wanted to go a third time before leaving a review. The biggest problem is the lack of organization. You have a long line of folks in the morning and they dont take names. So you have a bunch of people clustered around the counter waiting for their stuff and they have no idea whos is what.For example they had two of the same breakfast items come up at the same time with no real description (besides the name) and one guy is standing there. He looks at both, seems confused, and then has to flag the food preparer down and ask which is his. Turns out neither of them are his, but there is no way to know that because this place doesnt give you a clue.Im okay because you dont often hear of a triple shot cappuccino, but last time I was here I forgot to ask for the extra shot and I almost grabbed someone elses drink. What a mess.As for the coffee itself, I would hardly call what I got a cappuccino. It feels like a late, the head of foam was weak and minuscule compared to the huge volume of milk. Just because its a medium cup doesnt mean you should fill it to the brim, you should make it properly. If I wanted a latte I would have ordered one. I would have asked for a replacement but didnt want to deal with the crowd.This place doesnt compare at all to the ones Ive been to in SF near the Orpheum (smaller but more effective) or San Ramon (more attentive staff).

Yesterday I walked in and the only guy in front of me was discussing a problem with his mobile pay app with the counterperson. 2 other EEs were doing other things. At least twice, I watched the would-be customer wave his phone over the mobile scanner and the machine indicated he had no $$$ banked in the app. The manager spent 4 minutes telling the guy he had no $$ in the app. I suggested that he hand the mobile pay app customer off to another EE so I place my cash order. Blank stare from Starbucks EE. OK, so I walked out to another coffee shop down the street, where thankfully I was not behind another clueless mobile pay app customer.

It is conveniently close to the Downtown Berkeley Bart Station.

Really nice staff. For the most part. The girl who works there almost every morning, was interrupted while taking an order because the new guy couldnt figure out what caramel meant. Then proceeded toGive her attitude about it for the next two minutes. When I told him he was making my drink wrong he started huffing and puffing and rolled his eyes then gave me a half ass basically watered down latte. This kid needs more training before you allow him to make drinks on the floor alone in the morning during the busiest time. I would probably have the same reaction to people as him however this is why I dont work at a Starbucks. If you cant handle it find another job.

The worst SB Ive ever been to. Staff was unfriendly, didnt even bother to greet me. Restroom was broken and unusable. My drink wasnt finished for 30 minutes while there were only 4 people waiting for theirs. I watched 2 others come in get their drinks before mine while I was waiting. I ordered a plain grande carmel macchiato, nothing crazy. Possibly the worst coffee shop experience Ive ever had. Do not go here.

After looking for parking for 20 minutes, ending up parking at parking garage ($4 flat rate but was only there 15 mins) we order and get out drinks and first my girlfriend says she doesnt like her hot chocolate (usually picky so i didnt really pay attention) but then my double chocolatey frap was water down and it tasted powery. Not going to to this starbucks at noght anymore.

They close their bathrooms 90 mins before store closes. Dont they realize that bathroom and wifi are the only reasons anyone goes to Starbucks?
