Trusting an unknown mechanic and his shop to give you an honest estimate and then to deliver a quality repair in a timely fashion can sometimes be a daunting task. Lucky for me I chose Pratas and I couldnt be happier. The owner and master mechanic, whose name is Derrick didnt let me down. He gave me the best price that I could find for the repair that was needed, but upon tear down it was obvious that my car was going to need more work. My Tahoe is a 1999 5.7 with over 180,000 miles so I was not surprised that it needed more work. I just shudder to think how much I may have been charged if I had taken my car to the other shops that were charging me DOUBLE the price compared to the price Derick gave me. As far as Im concerned Pratas cannot be beat and Derrick is a very friendly, kind, honest and knowledgeable individual. I will always take my vehicle here first, and I strongly recommend that you do too.

Derik is amazing! I have taken my car to him three times now. The most recent was for what I though was a burnt out clutch. I thought the cost would be around $1000-$1500 but to my surprise the clutch was fine, it had something to do with the reserve fluid causing the clutch to not engage. Derik is honest and truly values his customers. He could have easily charged me for a new clutch but instead he explained to me (in layman’s terms) what the issue was and gave me an honest price.
