Must try their blueberry pie, it was amazing! You go to Maine for their blueberry! The staff here were really helpful! Kindly pointed me to their other shop on my way out of town which was open earlier to pick up 3 blueberry pies - delicious, tasty and not too sweet!
Their frozen vanilla coffee is one of the greatest coffee drinks I’ve ever had. By far the tastiest thing I had while visiting Bar Harbor! Sugar cookie was also very good. Definitely worth a stop!
My wife and I love this little shop. While I find the caramel macchiato to be a little heavy with the milk (could have gone with another shot I guess) my wife thoroughly enjoyed hers. She is very partial to the lemon cranberry walnut muffins and I absolutely love the pumpkin whoopie pies.In one week we stopped in about 4 times to get more pastries and deserts. They were also very accommodating with my grandmother and offered gluten free options. She loved their gluten free macaroons.
PINK PASTRY SHOP - Okay---1- Large sitting area, but they do not permit seating (others in area space out seating).2 - It is not a bakery - products are baked offsite at another place. Baked products that we purchased were alright.3 - Cappuccino was fabulous.
Good cheesecake and drinks. Scones were okay. Great service by the one guy behind the counter. One of the few places open after 8pm to get a quick bite. Has a nice pink aesthetic.
GET.THE.BLUEBERRY SCONES.They are amazing.I see a bunch of mixed reviews for this place for people ordering cupcakes or whatever. But if you’re going up to Maine and you aren’t ordering blueberry pastries wherever you go, what are you doing? We ordered the blueberry pie, blueberry lemon Whoopie Pie, blueberry scone, and two hot coffees.10/10
Although I an employee and not a customerI wanted to take the time to leave a review on here.. and I do love all the sandwiches at the deli, the broccoli quiche and fruit smoothies being my favorite from the pastry shop. YummmyyyyThe owner, Robin, has proven respectable, trust wworthy, and dedicated. She cares for her employees and appreciates those who take pride in what they do. As a young women in the hospitality industry I have grown to love working at all three locations. I truly look up to her, for she has built a empire fit for a queen. I love the regulars, as well as out of town families and look forward to serving the community. From coffee to lobster rolls we have you covered. And will only continue growing and learning.See you all there !!(:
Neat bakery/coffee shop in the heart of Bar Harbor. Only 4 stars because it is cash-only (though there is an ATM inside) and because they made a double shot espresso rather than an Americano, and almost short changed me 10 bucks. Love espresso still and got my cash, but I think the chaos on a busy afternoon was catching up with them service-wise. Coffee was good and pastries looked excellent!
Pretty good deserts, I had two items and really liked the peanut butter chocolate stack but thought the blueberry lemon whoopie pie was okay. There were lots of flys in the restaurant which was off putting. They also only take cash to support local businesses but rent an ATM in the shop. It doesnt make much sense to me.
We got coffees and some pastries for breakfast, which were great! I recommend their salted caramel latte. Drinks were a bit cheaper than some other coffee shops in Bar Harbor. Delicious blueberry scone and chocolate croissant too. And really friendly service! Would totally stop by again. If this review was helpful, please leave a thumbs up!
Stuff looks very good but really isn’t the best. Frozen drink tastes good but is watery and not really frozen. If you have a food sensitivity, condition, or allergy they will be rude, condescending, and dismissive towards you, and will insult and ignore you until you give up and leave. Beware of the woman with the smilie face mask, she will bully and harass you, and try to kick you out of the store if you attempt to get out medicine for yourself that you need to take.
Do yourself a favor. Skip the whoopie pie and get the peanut butter chocolate stack. This was absolutely delightful. We tried to come back for more desserts but they werent open. It was a shame. They are cash only which is my only complaint.
Small bakery. Looks like tables were there, but probably taken out because of covid. Google maps says its on Main St., but it is actually around the corner on Cottage St. CASH ONLY!!!!! They have an ATM, 2$ fee. Saw 3 groups of people walk out because they dont take cards. We got coffee, cupcakes, whoopee pie, and canoli. Nice bakery, only one poor girl working by herself.
Absolutely delicious!! The best pastries in Bar Harbor. Friendly service and an amazing selection. Highly recommend!
Muffin was okay. Had store bought ones that were better. Pink sign out front is nice.
‼️⚠️ AVOID THIS PLACE, HERE’S WHY: ⚠️‼️When entering, if you head back to the counter where the staff is, you can order. Since several of our family members are lactose intolerant and need to know if there is dairy so we can prepare a Lactaid pill, and also since another family member was curious as to whether it was sweetened, we kindly, calmly, and concisely asked 𝐋𝐀𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐍 (one of the staff members) what the ingredients in the frozen coffee were, since they were not listed. In an unbelievably, unnecessarily rude tone, she responded “I don’t know, caffeine??” We asked if it was sweetened and she responded rudely to that as well. She then walked over to another section of the store. We went over to her and tried to ask if there was dairy in it, and then turned on a loud, blasting machine, drowning our voice out. We asked again, a bit louder, is there dairy? She finally answered us. We got the drink, and as we were silently trying to prepare our Lactaid pills so we don’t get sick, she started yelling at us “if we are going to be rude then just leave,” meanwhile we were completely silent and she was the one that was rude. This action is very rude, and could be dangerous as well. There are many other lovely bakeries to give business to.
This place is awesome! Great, delicious treats and extremely good service. We went here for breakfast. The coffee is advertised as “wicked good” and uses local roasters – it definitely qualifies! Our only slight disappointment was that The blueberry iced tea just uses a syrup instead of real blueberry flavoring but it was still very tasty. I highly recommend the blueberry scone here! Overall, five stars!
Amazing pastry and espresso! Super friendly staff, bright large shop. Go try it :)
The pumpkin spice whoopie pie was delicious!
Generally I just rate the place is okay we have a pastry chef in our family and he went in to check it out and it was pretty basic I mean it wasnt bad but it was average it was really nothing to what I would say right home about. Im basically giving it a three star because its what I would expect to find for a place in a small town if you were like down in New York City, there would obviously be much many other places.
Ordered coffee and four cupcakes. The coffee was decent, no complaints. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the cupcakes. While they looked great and were decorated well, the taste left something to be desired. Ordered two cookie monster cupcakes and two salted caramel cupcakes. The cookie monster were ok, but had a mild strange chemical-like undertone. The salted caramel tasted neither like salt or even caramel, while also having that same strange chemical-like undertone. Big letdown, threw out half of the cupcakes. At least prices were reasonable, so didnt feel like we wasted too much money.Overall: Decent coffee, but cupcakes are subpar. Aesthetic:8/10Taste: 4/10Prices are reasonable.
I’m giving 4 stars for the cinnamon rolls. The price set for these rolls does not meet the quality. I suggest getting the bare ones presented in the photo and add your own icing. The cinnamon roll itself is delicious, but the icing was bland and without character and robbed the cinnamon roll. The staff are very helpful and create a great environment with music that makes you busy a move.Would I come back, yes indeed.
Salted caramel latte was okay. Got one of their cupcake (English creme) to try as they looked pretty. Neatly decorated. But didnt taste great. Felt strong chemical/alcohol taste. Creme looked smooth but it tasted grainy like old traditional creme. Surprisingly crowded when I went and queue was long and extended out to the road. Not sure what the hype was about.
We got 3 smoothies (12oz each), a 20oz coffee, one Whoopi pie and one cinnamon roll and it was $30. Whopper pie was super mushy and very box cake tasting and was thrown in the bag under the cinnamon roll. Cinnamon roll was pretty good, but for what we got, I felt was really overly priced. Staff not outgoing, not rude but not friendly either. Not sure I’d go back but the presentation of everything in cases and on display were nice.
Overpriced, dry, day-old cupcakes is what they sell.Sub-par sanitation practices. All goods are made and sold are from a box and bucket. Rip off artists, stay away!
This establishment should be ashamed of themselves. The woman was unfriendly and definitely unwelcoming. The man was even worse. We stopped by at 530pm to look at their desserts, hoping to come by for dessert AFTER eating at a restaurant that we made reservations for. We kindly asked what time they closed and the man said 8pm and proceeded to say that he usually locks up the place 15 minutes before closing time because he hates when there’s a line and told us to hurry up and order now. After dinner, we walked by and the place was deserted, no line and no customers. Don’t open up your establishment if you don’t want to deal with customers. They were extremely rude and dismissive. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this place.
This was such a cute pastry shop/cafe! I got a donut and an iced coffee while here. The donut was a little dry (hence the 4 stars), but the coffee was delicious! The woman behind the counter was also very friendly :) I’ll have to come back to taste one of the delicious-looking pastries.
Got a cupcake here as we’re on vacation for my birthday. It was, hands down, the absolute worst cupcake I’ve ever had in my life. I got the strawberry one- the frosting was a mix of a chemical taste and maybe dried strawberries? The cake itself was incredibly dense and tasted all wrong. I bake frequently and I’m not even sure how to describe the cake except awful. Wish I had read other reviews first to avoid this place!
Coffee was great, pastry was amazing. 4 stars because the two times we visited, the woman behind the counter was rude and acted like she would have rather been literally anyplace other then working in this shop. First time we brushed it off, we understand people have bad days. 2 days later, same sour attitude.
It’s like they tried to make a whooping pie but weren’t sure now. It was good by its a cupcake. Chocolate “torte” was just frosting. I can see why there are complaints about the service. That lady gave the girls in front of me a sour look like, why are you putting me out by ordering so much. Pretty sad for a business but I guess people want to have their cake and eat it too.
Great blueberry pie.
The cappuccino was good. The peanut/chocolate bars were good. The staff was friendly. There is no reason not to go if you have a sweet tooth.
Went in today and got 2 whoopie pies and 2 treats that were in hard plastic containers. when we got home I saw that the whoopie pies were placed loose in the bag beside the hard containers they were smooshed and falling apart. I called and spoke the man working just to bring it to his attention and he said “it’s not my business. Take your complaint elsewhere” and something about watching them bag them and then hung up on me. While they were getting our items I was looking around the store and did see bakery boxes so I’m not sure why they’re not using them.I was just visiting the area but if I was a local I would never go back based on that mans rude behavior and lack of customer service. We visited September 9thAround 3:30
We visited this cute shop today. We got a cupcake and a muffin. They were fresh and delicious. You must try it!🧁
My husband and I got coffee from here as we walked around Bar Harbor and it was good!
Amazing coffee, hot chocolate, and pastries! Well worth a visit.
Decadently delicious! Over a period of 3 days, my husband & I bought 7 different desserts from this fantastic bakery. (Cant believe we ate that many sweets. . . But each one was amazing! )
Lots of options. The chocolate cream and caramel cake was good and so was the blueberry cheesecake
Blueberry Pie was fantastic! Flaky buttery crust is a sweet delicious blueberry filling.
**Ordered takeout during COVID pandemicFood*Peanut butter cup cookie - good
AMAZING blueberry pie! Excellent service as well.
Great pastries. I especially recommend their blueberry pies when theyre in season. I regularly get chai lattes from here. My parents think the coffee is good enough, but honestly I say come here for the pastries and leave the coffee for your pot back at the hotel; theyre really what takes the cake, so to speak.
Service was wonderful! The cashier was very nice and friendly, and everything was handled very well for having to with covid. I will be coming back next im here!
Nice, cute coffee and pastry shop. Worth a visit in Bar Harbor.
Cute place with seriously delicious treats! I bought a chocolate whoopie pie and was not disappointed. The only setback to this place is that you must have minimum purchase of ten dollars or more to use credit cards. Not a fan of that.
I bought a whole blueberry pie for a camping trip. It was INCREDIBLE.
They are not open until 10pm as Google says and the hours are not listed on the door. I went in to ask their hours and the guy said they open at 8am and close when they get slow, usually about 6pm. Looks like they have a great selection of whoopie pies.
We were visiting from Kansas and we stopped in the bakery. I ordered a cannoli and OMG! I have been craving on ever since! And that’s been a year and a half ago! They are amazing!
I went here to get coffee. Since it was after 4 pm, I was concerned about its freshness. I was told by the employees that the coffee was made about a half hour ago. I wanted to make sure the coffee wasnt bitter because it had been sitting around so long so I asked if I could have a small sample to taste. One of the employees was handing me a sample sized cup when the manager/owner comes out of the office with food hanging out of his mouth yelling that I cant taste it because he knows its good. I said but its a half hour old. He responded rudely saying that a half hour old is fine! then he proceeded to say no free samples. Obviously I took my business elsewhere. I walked a couple yards down and took a left on Cottage St and had coffee in a cafe next to the theatre. The coffee there was not bitter, was less expensive, and no one was rude to me.
Wish i could give a zero, very rude employees completely ignored and a smart a** left with nothing
They have the best blueberry pie in Bar Harbor.
Stopped by because the whoopie pies on the window display caught my eye. This is more of a grab and go place and not really a sit down cafe. Tried the lemon blueberry and chocolate chip whoopie pies. The chocolate chip one was a little on the sweeter end in my opinion, but I highly recommend the blueberry lemon.
It was delicious! One of the few places that arent a tourist trap. The dough is not too sweet and the drinks are delicious. My favorite baked item was cheese and raspberry pocket. :)
Delicious desserts! From the whoopie pies to the cupcakes, everything you get is amazing! The shop is small but comfortable. However, make sure that if you have one dessert in mind that you have a backup plan, because they are occasionally out of a dessert or two. But that is the case for any store.
Popped in here because the whoopie pies were looking good in the display window. They were just as delicious as they looked!
Many pastry options. Staff was polite, attentive and got our orders for us quickly. Pastries and cookies were very good. They have Italian sodas, which was very good, and I dont find them places often
Never again box mix for cupcakes.greasy frosting.
Great coffee and blueberry pie!
Elephant ear was dry and tasted old. Whoopi pie was moist but just ok blueberry muffin was good. Service was pleasant.
If I could give this bakery no stars I would. The cashier(the one with the bird tattoos on her arm) who claimed she was the manager was very rude! She rushed my order, and then forgot to pack part of it to go. We pointed out that there was a bug flying in the showcase and she made a face. Save your sweet tooth for another shop!
Staff was very accommodating, personable, and friendly! The chocolate toffee mousse cake legit and more than enough to share with a friend or loved one who enjoys chocolate.Other delights are just as tasty, from cupcakes to brownies, etc.
Love their espresso! ❤️🧁☕
Their cupcakes are very dry and the icing tastes store bought. Workers are very nice.
Great coffee and whooppie pies! Also tried their chocolate croissant, muffins and smoothie, try it this place wont disappoint. The staff is extremely friendly and pleasant.
Best whoopie pies! The staff was quite abrasive and rude to my girlfriend for some reason but the flavor of the pie made us quickly forget.
Very rude employee!! Food was good!
Great bakery goods. We loved the whoopie pies.
Good service. Great for a quick bite.
Good latte and blueberry lemon whoopie pie. Small store, you could easily pass by if you werent looking for it.
The people were so rude. The skinny girl never heard of an iced coffee (even tho it was on the menu??) and the other one looked like she’s tried everything twice. Don’t know if she was staring judge-mentally bc she knew the food was going to taste like cardboard or bc I could eat it without it going straight to my hips.
Best Espresso in town!
Absolutely wonderful. Staff is so nice and accommodating. The blueberry scones are perfect. My kids loved the blueberry donuts. The raspberry cream cheese danishes are mouth watering. AND they have the decaf coffee ready (not everyone drinks the high test stuff!). We went here three times the week we stayed in Bar Harbor. umm umm!!! And they even play 80s music. Bonus!
The customer service is wonderful, everyone is warm, friendly, & very helpful. Unfortunately their cupcakes aren’t very good, they’re very dry & the frosting has a strange after taste.
The blueberry pie is a must buy. It is delicious.
The person who served us was sooo rude 😡, he asked us to leave just because my 2 years old is playing with a little dog and crying for a cupcake it was very embarrassing everybody was watching
The service was dreadful. Products were clearly not fresh. Staff on site handed me the wrong order and ignored my attempts at reentering at the doorway before the closing hours by walking into the back. Another couple beside me were also disappointed that they had closed early.
Best cupcakes I have EVER experienced. Would highly recommend :)
Staff was rude and uninterested in their jobs. The food (we had whoopie pie and carrot cake) were very good. Customer service made me want to give a 1 star but since the food was good, rating 3/5. Wont return simply because the service.
Meh. The staff member was friendly, but the whoopie pies that we got were average. The pies were dry and the frosting was really sweet. Some of the pies that we got seemed to have a lot more frosting than others.
Amazing hot chocolate - perfect for a chilly day :)
Excellent coffee and tasty donuts....great prices considering the location.....friendly staff
Extremely upset how the staff treated me as a customer. First off, four dollars for black coffee that has probably been sitting in the carafe for hours is outrageous. Secondly, the guy at the register all but yelled at me when I went to get my card out of my wallet because I didn’t see the pink (everything in the bakery is pink) paper that says that there’s a ten dollar minimum to pay with card. Then lastly, I asked for a cup of ice to pour into my coffee and the manager (?) told me I would have to pay an extra dollar for the paper cup... No thank you. I was not impressed by their coffee not their staff. Extremely unsatisfied.
Had a chocolate chip whoopie pie which was extremely dry. $10 credit card minimum.
Solid pastries - we took a couple to the top of Cadillac mountain the next morning for the sunrise and they were great.Staff was friendly and chatty, and they have some great recommendations of other places to hit in town.
Got a whoopie pie from here last year, didnt really do it for me and would not get again. This year sampled some of their cake slices, which were quite good. Lemon mascarpone cake is not something I would order regularly but here it was good- cake was light and springy, lemon mascarpone was flavorful. Another was chocolate and either toffee or caramel, was very rich. Seemed like it had salted toffee or caramel, could do without the salt. Last I believe was called peanut buttter bomb or chocolate peanut butter bomb which was also enjoyed. In short, good place to grab a slice of cake to go.
Staff was not interested in helping. Go somewhere else there are plenty of good places in Bar Harbpr
Great coffee and really good blueberry iced tea
The blueberry pie and blueberry sugar donuts are fantasic
