Yum! Coffee (hot and iced) was amazing. Had bacon/egg/cheese on everything bagels. Bagels were good for the area (but honestly, nothing compares to a NY bagel). Also had a slice of blueberry lavender cake (couldnt taste the lavender) that was delicious. Service was a bit slow but friendly. Overall, a great breakfast!

We got the blueberry pie, blueberry muffin, and chocolate croissant. I’m always trying chocolate croissants everywhere. This was by far the most delicious chocolate croissant I’ve ever had, and likely ever will have- in my life. I forgot to get it warmed up and eating it cold was still the best croissant I’ve ever had! The blueberry muffin was good, but the pie and croissant knocked it out of the water. The pie was perfectly flavored and fresh. I’d never had blueberry pie before and was super weary of it, but figured my first one should be the best quality possible, and while in Maine. I don’t regret that one bit and I don’t think I’ll ever try it again until I’m back in Maine eating it from A slice of Eden.

Great, family owned, bakery on Cottage Street in Bar Harbor. It is one of my favorite places to get breakfast, the breakfast sandwiches are delicious, but my go to order is the salt and pepper bagel toasted with their homemade veggie cream cheese. I call my order in because I know how busy Bar Harbor is. I love their friendly service, Charity usually sings me a few notes of my favorite song.

Awesome breakfast location!! Service was quick, and breakfast was nice and light. Really appreciated the fair prices, my husband and I both got a small breakfast and fancy coffees for under $20. Definitely the perfect place to go for a quick morning bite!

A local favorite. Delicious pastries, world-class cakes and tasty things that you can only pronounce correctly if youre from France. Plus the crafty coffee items youd expect AND amazing sandwiches and soups and the BEST original Bar Harbor bagel recipe. Plus the nicest people ever. Make a point to stop here and get your early breakfast after the Cadillac sunrise.

Slow service, nothing special even during slow times. Food and drinks were not great, service was extremely slow and not friendly at all. After 15min to place my order, another 15 just to get my coffee with espresso, and latte. Truly disappointed, there are much better places in bar harbor.

Stopped by for a quick bite to eat before hiking in Acadia National Park, and this piece of heaven did not disappoint! Get there early if you want to try their croissants, as they ran out by the time we got there (around 9:30-10). I ordered a “western style” breakfast sandwich on a home-made cheddar bagel, and I was blown away by how delicious it was. Highly highly recommend!!!

Great breakfast sandwich with some vegetarian options! Wasnt expecting to see veggie sausage on the menu. Happy to see the coffee was locally roasted and it was great.Had to pick up the blueberry muffin since we were heading back to PA today, wasnt disappointed. The lady working at the front I think was the owner (Charity) and you can tell she knows what shes doing and loves doing it. If you want a quick but quality breakfast with locally roasted coffee and dope blueberry muffins, look no further than A Slice of Eden.

This beautiful cafe is right on the main strip of Cottage Street. The service was excellent and the barista knows their coffee. The two roasts they had for drip brew were Black & Tan (medium roast) and Sumatra (dark roast). The coffee was delicious, and milk and half & half were available for us to pour ourselves. Even though we did not purchase any of the baked goods, they certainly looked exquisite!

Coffee and food were good. A huge plus was that this place opens earlier than most around (6am).Not thrilled with their tactic of asking in front of everyone “would you like to leave a tip?” Not very tactful and pressures everyone to leave a tip, taking away the choice. If you want a more respectful way of doing it, do what most places do and just turn the credit card device toward the customer without asking anything and let the customer decide for themselves

Enjoying our first trip to Bar Harbor, A Slice of Eden was recommended to us for a breakfast stop. We visited and kept it simple, coffee and bagels with salmon cream cheese. Both were excellent. On our 2nd visit we ordered breakfast sandwiches, a bagel with egg, ham & cheddar and a croissant with egg, ham & swiss and coffees. Again - excellent. So we grabbed some pecan sticky buns, 2 creme puffs and a chocolate mocha cake. It was all outstanding and I think this was my favorite new discovery for our trip. Everything has been top notch and we will certainly visit again.

Usually, I do not review places I go to, but the service at the Slice of Eden restaurant was unnacceptable. Our family was in need of a lunch meal waliing the streets of Bar Harbor, so we visited some restaurants, all of which were closed, other than Slice of Eden, which was open during that time. However, upon entering and finalizing our order, the cashier came up to us and announced that the kitchen had closed, an hour before the posted closing time on the door and on Google. Although they had taken the previous order, we were practically shoved out of the restaurant verbally. Hurt, we had to take our business elsewhere. Though it looked delicious that day, we had to pass on their food because we were not allowed a meal. Compared to the fabulous service elsewhere in Maine, there was not an ounce of kindness in this store that enticed us to even come back.Coming to Maine, we dreamed of a delicious blueberry pie during our trip. However, all of the restaurants made it with eggs, and Slice of Eden was the only one with a Vegan pie. However, upon getting the pie we craved, another terrible service job awaited us. No plates were given to us, so we had to eat on napkins, which ended up staining one of our partys shirts. Also, upon the request to warm the pie up, which had been baked the same morning, we were denied, stating that it [the pie] was good enough. The same response was given to our request for whipped cream on the side. Turns out, the pie was not as enjoyable as it could have been had our simple requests been granted. Thus, I strongly recommend avoiding this restaurant, because any other local business along the streets of Bar Harbor would better deserve a customers business rather than this place. Maines loving and warm reception elsewhere need not be tarnished by the rude behavior here.

The name says it all!Their croissants, bagels and rugelach are up there with the best.Come check out their breakfast sandwiches which are made to order(pretty quickly); theyre simple but fresh through and throughTheres some great local Maine coffee served here daily.Expect friendly service here because thats all youll get.Their seemingly local and well-curated decor only adds to the charm they have here.Fun fact- The town of Bar Harbor was first incorporated in 1796, so the town is only 20 years younger than our country. The original name of the town was Eden, for obvious reasons. Locals still sometimes refer to Bar Harbor as Eden and thats where this little cafe obtained its name. Sweet, dude!Five stars all day.

We enjoyed our coffee and egg sandwiches at this small coffee shop on the way to the whale watch. The whale watch was canceled so we were glad that the breakfast wasn’t a disappointment! I had a bacon, egg, and cheddar cheese sandwich on gluten free bread and my husband got the same on a croissant. The gluten free bread was very good and didn’t fall apart in my hands as some others I’ve tried and they make all their baked goods from scratch. They do make a point to state that they can’t guarantee that all gluten free baked goods are 100% gluten free so it’s important to speak with them if you have an allergy. Seating is limited but there are a few stools inside and two benches outside. Would highly recommend.

We visited on a rainy afternoon. We just wanted a good strong cup of coffee, a piece of pie, conversation, and a place to sit until the rain subsided a bit. The older man that waited on us was rude and they did not offer indoor seating.
