We contacted High Tech Flooring and Design per recommendation from our newly constructed home’s builder office and we’re not disappointed to have done so. Our goal was to have the upstairs match the downstairs, and they helped us accomplish our goal. The best thing about working with Enrique is that he was quick to respond to any questions and he always made time to listen to our concerns. The only thing I would ask is that they detail on the written agreement what the project will include and any steps the homeowner might need to take in order to fully complete it. While we did have a minor misunderstanding, partly because this was my first time having this type of work done in a home, Enrique and his team went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied *and* happy with the final product. Thanks to Enrique for helping us make our little dream house a home!

Our house suffered damage in the freeze and our flooring needed to be replaced. Finding anyone to call you back or do work at this time (~Feb/Mar 2021) was just about impossible b/c people were so busy and had their own issues to fix. Once the water mitigation folks did their thing (different company) we were able to work with Enrique. After a little phone tag at the start Enrique was fantastic. He worked directly with our adjuster. Came out several times, worked with us on the right choice to change things out. We ended up not putting carpet back into part of the house and just ran the flooring throughout. It was a big project. They said 3 days and sure enough...3 days in and out. The crew they send out has had to come out a couple times to fix a few minor things we noticed which Enrique coordinated and was able to knock out within the day both times I called. If youre in the market, Id recommend stopping by to see what options they have! Sorry, the pictures arent the best...

I have been using Enrique from High Tech flooring for years through my business (Maverick Builders) and it has been one of those blessing that you just appreciate. I have never had a problem on ANY job whether it be tile or flooring. Dependability is a huge thing with me. If you want flawless installations with professional representation I highly recommend. You can l litterally not have to worry about ANYTHING. They will make your dreams come true in an effortless and easy transaction. 10 out of 10 rating in my opinion.

Decided to finally replace our 13 yr old carpet. Mike and the High-Tech team made the selection process easy by ordering samples shipped directly to us. The install went great and Henrique was in continual contact with us during the process. The install guys were great in moving around furniture and laying the carpet. When complete, the furniture was all moved back, scraps cleaned up, and floor vacuumed. We are quite happy with the product, install, and attention. These guys are great and Id recommend them to any friend.

Matt and Juan were punctual. They both reviewed the issues and items that needed repair as well as ensuring nothing else was missed. We recommend and would use them again if repairs are needed.

Initial contact with the sales person was not ideal due to lack/no communication. Owner Michael took over and we went through the quotes, picking carpet and installing. Everything went very well and very happy with the result. I would recommend business directly to him not the initial sales person.

From start to finish Enrique was a great sales person. His responses were always timely and all work crews arrived on time and completed the project quickly and well. This is the 3rd time weve used High Tech and we will continue to do so for our flooring needs as well as refer them to friends.

Enrique was great to work with and very responsive! We have a newly built Trendmaker home that we chose to extend the tile that is throughout our home into the new office replacing the carpet. We had a great experience working with Enrique and his team. They did an excellent job laying tile throughout my house. Enrique was very helpful in the beginning stages of picking out the tile. He even let us bring a sample tile home to compare it with our stairs and countertops. Enrique and his team were very fast and professional. I had a great experience with High-Tech Flooring. They were able to find us a specialty carpet, deliver, and install it earlier than had anticipated. Other companies could not find the specialty carpet at all! The install guys were great. They cleaned up after themselves, showed ip on time, and took away the old carpet. I would use this company again!

Hi Tech Flooring put in the tile in our new build by Trendmaker Homes. Through warranty, they came out to repair tile in the master shower which was raised, cutting our feet because the corners and edges of the tiles stuck up. Their solution was to try and “sand” down all the sharp edges. This was not successful in eliminating sharp edges nor issues with grout lines. They came back and said that they would like to avoid ripping out the tile redoing the flooring so it was done correctly and asked if they could first try and remove all the grout in the problem areas, sand down the edges and then put new grout in. I agreed only if this didn’t work they would then replace the flooring. They agreed. This method was also unsuccessful. The next visit out to the house resulted in a solution of picking a different tile that was pre cut to a smaller size so we wouldn’t run into the same issue of sharp edges or tile sides sticking up. I agreed as long as I could pick the tile for the floor. They came and dropped off several samples of tiles I could pick from. I called them several times to follow up and each time I go the run around with who to talk to, or who was out of the office so we couldn’t continue. Finally after several weeks I received word that they no longer are going to replace the tile. That it isn’t their problem to do so.So now I am left with the same issue I had before (tile edges cutting our feet and sticking up in random places) as well as extremely u even tile and grout lines.***update***My husband spoke with the owner and they said they didn’t like the way we ended up with a shower floor that wasn’t up to their standards. So they offered to fix the entire master shower floor on their dime. They explained the process and they dropped off samples for us to review and pick from, since we are so far from their design center. They explained the whole process and were professional and courteous through the whole thing. Because of corona virus, the installation was delayed a little but everything is now installed since the end of June and looks amazing and more importantly works perfectly.We would work with them again directly for any future tile needs.

I needed hardwood flooring in 4 small bedrooms. They helped me select a hardwood for a modest budget. It was installed in one day with a very competent crew. Looks beautiful.

I moved into my new build over 9 months ago and have had continuous issues with the flooring from High-Tech since then that are still not fixed.When they came to replace the initial section of bad flooring, the replacement job was significantly worse with several very easily visible issues. When they came to re-do their bad replacement job, they had ordered the wrong flooring after waiting weeks for the flooring to come in. In between this, there were several times the builder was contacting High-Tech to find out the status only for High-Tech to claim they’d been trying to contact me. I had never received a call/voicemail, but then they would ironically call me that very day that the builder contacted them. This happened several times.With each of these visits, I had scheduled the early morning window stating that I would have to leave by the end of the afternoon to pick up my son. Every time, they have showed up mid-day. When I tell them I have to leave by the end of the afternoon, they state it’s not enough time to do the job and leave. Then I have to wait another week for them to return because people have jobs and lives to schedule around in order to be home each time. The next time, the same exact situation occurs arriving too late and stating they don’t have enough time and leaving. I have lost count of how many times this has happened in all the months.Most recently, a supervisor accompanied them as requested by the builder. Arriving too late again, I was told they’d come back the next week to replace half of the flooring because there have been so many different problem areas with the original flooring. I was told by the supervisor that it would be a one-day job, and they’d arrive at 9am to ensure enough time before I had to leave. The next week they arrived at 11am only to tell me it was a two-day job and they’d need to leave with the job incomplete but would return early morning and would only have two hours remaining. They arrived the next day at 11am, took 5 hours, only to install WRONG flooring. This is the second time they ordered wrong flooring and then now installed it. I have two different colors of flooring in my living room floor. This doesn’t count the damage to the baseboards, walls, and now there is damage on the other half of the floor where they moved my furniture and ripped the floor there.Through this, I have called a few times to speak to a supervisor and am told he’ll call me back each time but never does. I requested completely new, better flooring altogether since there are so many affected areas now with poor patch jobs. The supervisor will never return my calls.This has been over 9 months that my floors are still not resolved and are honestly even worse now.

We had a great experience working with Enrique. We were very demanding clients with a tight budget but expensive taste and he helped us navigate all the options to find the perfect solution. He patiently helped us sort through dozens of samples during multiple visits to the show room and he ordered custom samples when we decided to try to match the existing flooring. Well use High-Tec again.

On Monday 20 May, High-Tech sent a worker to replace a tile and fix a substandard grout job in the master shower. He was on time, quick, experienced and completed his tasks to our approval, AND also cleaned up the mess associated with these type tasks (this in itself is to be praised since many time Ive had to clean up myself after the worker has left). Great Job...

This is a beautiful showroom with plenty of selection. Wonderful and attentive staff make the selection process a delight!

We used HTF back in June and they did an amazing job on our tile flooring and the tile in our shower . We used them again this month and had carpet put in our bedrooms. They were very nice at the showroom and the carpet looks great, however I would recommend you move your own furniture. We had them move 6 items and 3 are now damaged.

High tech installed tiles in my place via Pulte. Grout coloring was uneven and the grout was applied unevenly in several spots. I requested their service during the warranty time. They didnt show up on the appointment days on several occasions and on the days they showed up to fix, the tile tech mentions that he was not appraised of the work order and that he was told to complete only one task and not others. This happened several times and the work order is still not complete. I was given an appointment today for TSP wash, but as usual no one showed up or worse the coordinator doesnt even answer the phone. I have every detail of their poor service documented in the email thread and can share as evidence if needed. Horrible service!!!

High-Tech Flooring and Design had the best selection of all the flooring stores we visited in Austin. They were also the most modern when it comes to flooring trends. Their design consultants helped suggest flooring options we never would have thought of. And their sales team bent over backward to make sure we got the service we needed: fast and expert installation. We couldnt recommend High-Tech Flooring and Design more highly.

Best stuff on the market for concrete flooring

We have our house built this past summer of 2018 and I’m very disappointed in how they do thing. So in our mater bathroom in caulking around the tub has come off multiple times and they sent there rep out who name is Larry and he is rude and Unprofessional person he had the nerve to call my husband and I liers and being very rude and disrespectful it’s not our fault when the person who did our tub have no idea what they are doing and when you keep haven the same problem going on for months and when they came out this last time the just covers up the old stuff and didn’t bother to take it off the old before putting the new stuff on because it’s coming off now to so. I would not recommend this company or they people they use. I have even talked to the higher up which is David and he sent Andrew out to my home to supposedly make sure this was done right which it wasn’t and they where done in 30 minutes there’s no way that could happen if it was done correctly. So now have to have it done right by someone else.

They ordered the wrong carpet and not enough was delivered, only had the wrong carpet for 2 out of 3 rooms, waited almost 6 weeks for the correct carpet to come in, all the while all issues were someone else’s fault, it was in the 6th week of living with my shoes and other belongings in boxes that I received a call from an owner or manager of some type, of course after I said I was done with them and their poor service, DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS COMPANY!

This company has great products and some of the worst installation people ever! We have had to wait at our home 4 or 5 times for the installation people to show us and they are either way late or never show up. Today is no exception. I have been home all afternoon. After them not showing up the other day they promised us that they would come today from 12 to 1 and here it is 5:30 and I have yet to see them. I own my own business and understand not all customer experience will be perfect but this one is way below par! Love the carpet but not a fan of the timeliness!

Worst follow-up ever. They had to repair my shower room tiles under warranty and they have still not showed up after a month. And should I say that this is the second time for the same repair work. Take a careful decision if you want to go with this company.

We decided to renovate our house with click together hardwood flooring. We were willing to pay more for a reputable company.This was a huge mistake as at High Tech Flooring, professionalism does not extend beyond the showroom.Before the sale the salespeople impressed us with their friendliness and nice showroom. The salesperson claimed to have over a hundred crews to convince us of the size of their operation (in reality they have no crews, they hire out each job to a low bidding subcontractor).After carefully comparing bids from multiple contractors, (none of whom used subcontractors), we decided to pay more and go with High Tech Flooring because they had been recommended to us by a friend of someone who works there.On the first day of the job, a crew of subcontractors who appeared to be nearly all illegal immigrants showed up. The first red flag.During the dusty demolition none of them wore any protective clothing and we saw one person come outside to vomit next to our air conditioner.When the installation crew showed up (who also appeared to be mostly illegal immigrants), they decided the floor surface was too uneven to proceed. At this point, the Salesperson from High Tech Flooring convinced us to pay $1000s more, even though he had already inspected the floor and had floor leveling in his original bid.The installers rushed through the job in a couple days.A representative from High Tech Flooring would briefly appear every few days for a few minutes. They would look briefly from a distance and leave. There was no supervision of the crew or their installation practices.For bigger rooms, the installation crew used the longest boards and for doorways and halls they used the shortest boards. The end result looks ridiculous.However, the most glaring issue was the crew not following the manufacturers installation instructions. Despite the manufacturers explicit instructions to not hammer directly on the floor to avoid damage, they hammered directly on the flooring to engage the tongue-and-groove to save a few minutes.Immediately upon inspection, there were countless obvious defects, including finish chipping off, splits, random size gaps (some over 3/8) between the click together boards, buckling and hollow spots. Most of these issues were caused by directly hammering on the wood and carelessness. Hardly a square foot of the floor could be found that did not have visible damage.When we brought these issues to the attention of the Sales Rep, he used numerous tactics to try to downplay the problems and avoid taking responsibility. He blamed the finish coming off the floors on the manufacturer.Eventually, the salesperson assured us they would go over every inch of floor and correct every problem. He also promised us additional wood to replace what was installed incorrectly. To our dismay, instead of sending professionals, the same crew of amateurs who had caused the problem in the first place showed up. Most of their repairs made the floor even worse.We never received any new wood like we were promised, the crew used our extra wood we had paid for and been saving for a kitchen reconfiguration. At one point, when we noticed a newly replaced board lifting out of the floor, we alerted the subcontractor whos comical solution was to have his most overweight man jump on it.When they knew the numerous issues were not resolved yet, HTF kept pestering us for payment until we threw in the towel. We were so worn down by their failure to repair the floor and lackadaisical attitude. We ended up paying High Tech Flooring their original bid and then some for a poorly installed floor we are extremely unhappy with.We regret every day not choosing the reputable low bidder instead of taking a friends recommendation to use High Tech flooring. We have to take some responsibility for allowing ourselves to be fooled by High Tech Floorings flashy showroom and deceptive sales practices.The whole experience was traumatic and life altering. High Tech Flooring is the worst contractor we have ever hired.

If you have a choice, go with any company other than this one. My family and I just moved to the Austin area and bought a new home. In the walk thru, there was a area of flooring in one of the bathrooms that needed to be fixed. At the closing, it still wasnt fixed (not sure if this was the construction company or High-Techs fault). We altered the construction company and had an appointment setup with HTF&D. I was told by the customer service person I spoke with that the repairman would be by in a particular window and would call me before showing up, so if we needed to adjust the time, we could. All sounded great, until the appointment day rolled around. I stayed at the house all morning, waiting to get a call and someone show up to fix my flooring. An hour after the scheduled time period had lapsed, I called the company to reschedule. The CS rep didnt even apologize for a no show, no call. Thirty minutes after I got off the phone with the company, a guy in normal clothes shows up at my door saying he is with HTF&D, right as I was about to leave. Didnt call, didnt apologize for being late, nothing. Let him go ahead and work and delayed my plans. He left after about 5 minutes and I was left with a massive glob of glue on my floor. It looked terrible! Called the company again and was asked to send an e-mail with pictures documenting the issue. So I did. Two weeks later and I still hadnt gotten a response, so I contacted them again. Terrible service!!!! Said that they couldnt tell from the pictures what was going on and would have to send out an inspector. Inspector came the next week, saw the issue and told me it was going to have to be fixed... A week later someone finally came back to fix the flooring (of course, there was no call and the guy didnt show up in his appointment window. Though I was assured by the inspector that he would stay on top of it for our appointment. Ha). Was here for about one minute and said he was done. I went in the bathroom to look and he hadnt fixed anything. Asked him repeatedly what he fixed, because he didnt fix the problem and he wouldnt answer me. Called the company and the inspector guy to make sure this fella knew what he was doing. The guy finally fixed the issue, but left glue all over the floor and all over my wall. I am not happy, but at this point, the company has been such a pain that I will figure out how to fix it myself over having these people do anything more at my home. Absolute nightmare from start to finish. And it took two months to finally finish (if getting glue all over the wall and floor is considered finishing something). Do yourself a favor and dont use this company.
