Land Rover Austin (5th Street) service team are fantastic. They are courteous, knowledgeable and accommodating. Repair costs are fair and they don’t push unnecessary repairs. Their technicians are highly experienced and get the job done. The service team under Chris Matthews and the dealership under Damon Spears reflects on their high standards. The email reminder of setting up the annual maintenance appointment, and the follow-up call detailing what work would be performed and what the cost would be was so helpful. Knowing who the service agent was and what to expect helped a lot. The visit to the dealership was an excellent experience, from the drive-up to the service bay, to the welcome at the reception lobby area with complimentary coffee bar, to the payment office, and finally to the complimentary car wash/detailing. My service agent was very professional and attentive.

We recently purchased our car used (from a dealership out of town) and never expected to have some issues in the first few months. Jaenae Copple made our experience so easy and pleasant. We understood the COVID landscape and that service took a bit longer than it normally would due to some unexpected staff outages. She kept us updated along the way and spoke with our extended warranty and got some missing calibur bolts covered even though our warranty didnt cover that item. We were able to get all the annual maintenance completed at the same time so a win/win. This is our first experience owning a Land Rover and we will be back for all the scheduled maintenance.

Looking for a specific car usually isn’t as easy as it was with Land Rover Austin, especially living out of town. I originally inquired through the website and Robert Walls got in touch with me within hours. Even with me having an out of state work trip in the middle of working a deal with them, we got it all done, and by the time we came to look at and pick up the car, the process took less than 30 minutes. Robert was transparent about everything from the details of the car (I bought it used) to adhering to my requests, kept in touch by phone, text, and was very on top of getting my questions answered. Robert isn’t like any other salesperson. He is there for YOU, and makes sure YOU are getting what you want and have everything you need. Let’s not forget how quick and painless the finance process was. Bill took care of the financials, had everything ready to go within minutes once we said “let’s take it!” and they have great technology that they use to get the job done. All of your documents once signed and completed are given to you on a thumb drive. Very easy process and very organized. I recommend Robert Walls and Land Rover Austin if you are looking for a vehicle! I look forward to enjoying my Range Rover Velar P380 First Edition thanks to them!

Seriously the worst experience. No one is friendly, everyone seems angry for some reason and can’t smile or greet anyone. Took over a week to just get a call back regarding a service apt. The only reason why I go here is solely based on location. Now the new Sewell location is open and they have always been knows for great customer service!Update: I wrote this review while sitting in the dealership waiting for my car. After 3+ years the service has not improved. My next apt I drove 40 mins to the Cedar Park location which is owned be Sewell and it was like a completely different world were people had manners, greeted you and smiled. I would never recommend Land Rover Austin on W 5th. They need a complete overhaul of their management and staff.

This was quite honestly the best car service experience we’ve had at a dealership. Ben V. and his team were informative, fast, and extremely efficient. We live over an hour away from this location and will absolutely make the drive every time based on our raving customer experience. We brought our 6 month old with us and the staff couldn’t be sweeter with our son. One of the staff members, a gentleman that worked in the service garage transporting the vehicles, made our son laugh and giggle while we waited for our car to pull up. He was great! I don’t remember his name, but he also had a 6 month old son just a few days older than our own. The whole experience from drop-off, to getting a loaner vehicle, and check-out was stellar. I definitely highly recommend this dealership!!

I went in to Land Rover Austin to pick up my car today. Robert Walls was so great! He made sure I got the right price for my trade-in! And... Robert was so very patient with me - setting up all my new settings in the car - before taking it home. Robert also assured me many times to call him day or night - or come into the dealership - for any thing I need to re-learn on the car. (All the goodies are overwhelming to learn the first day.) EXCELLENT customer service! I had a phenomenal experience with this dealership today. ROBERT WALLS was an exceptional sales person, very professional and transparent through the entire process.From start to finish, the process took roughly an hour. I have purchased many vehicles in the past and this was by far the most streamlined and stress free car-buying experience. The dealership is very nice inside...I drove from out of town and it was worth the drive. I was recently in the market for a new vehicle. Land Rover was the LAST dealer I was looking into. I just happened to check their website and I saw a vehicle that caught my eye. I entered my information to be contacted and in no time Robert W. Reached out to me to talk. He was so knowledgeable and really answered all of my questions within that first phone conversation. I let him know that I had a newborn and REALLY had only a small window where I could go see the vehicle. He was VERY respectful of my time and made sure when I did show up, everything was handled as quickly as possible. Within 30 minutes, I had came in, test drove, and talked numbers, and was on my way home to baby!Like I said, Land Rover was not in my mindset when I thought of a car I would own, and I was hesitant to take the plunge. Robert was so very reassuring that he would go to bat for me to get me the best deal and get me into that car!Let me tell ya, went to bat he did!! I got a great deal I just COULDNT turn down.The next day, the application was completed, the deal was mostly finalized and all I needed to do was go in to hand over my trade in, sign some docs and drive off in my new car!!!When I showed up with baby, Robert made sure baby was comfy in the office while we signed docs. He made sure to go as quick as possible. Within 20 minutes everything was DONE and we were driving off in our new car. He even helped me get the car seat for baby set up! And if youre wondering, these cars are very young family friendly!Robert wasnt just looking to make a sale. He was genuinely trying to help me get in a better car for me and my family at a price that fit my family. I really appreciated his help through this process. I cant emphasize enough how I was NOT looking into Land Rovers. Now I think this is the ONLY place I will purchase. And for as long as Robert is there, he will be my go to guy for a new car!

I am truly impressed with how well the purchase of our vehicle went! I called Robert at about 1pm to check availability of a vehicle I had seen online. He took my info and did exactly what he said he would do which was go out to make sure it was still there and then called me right back within a few minutes. The buying process was great and easy.But, found a small matter with our new suv when we got it home.Called my sales guy the next day after we bought the suv and told him about this small problem.But, He really did not seam interested or wanting providing any answers or give help with this matter.Wish they would at least take a minute and look at what has left a sour taste about being helpful when your buying a car - but not so helpful after you pay.

My check engine light came on yesterday. I commute ~40 miles to work in Austin, so instead of going to Sewell (at least 20 miles from my place of work) I went to this location. I explained my concerns to the concierge. I was concerned my engine light came on for something serious and did not want to drive home if something of that nature was the cause. The concierge was wonderful, explained many of the technicians were at lunch and that they would look at it but that I may have to wait. No big deal, I just wanted to be safe. However when the concierge brought me inside to talk with someone the woman I was greeted by was not only unhelpful, stating that they couldn’t attend to my car unless an issue was “diagnosed”, she suggested I go to AutoZone to have the code identified. At that point I simply stated I would be going to Sewell and left. First, I didn’t roll up to a Land Rover to simply have my check engine light code read, I wanted knowledge/it taken care of for safety reasons. Yes, my hair is teal. Yes, I look young. But believe me, I will ensure my car is looked after with the utmost care. Not only did this location not even consider looking at my car, but they suggested I take it to a parts store. So I took it to Sewell where I was greeted warmly, offered water and received not only diagnostics but repairs in 2 hours time. Land Rover Austin: take some notes, you clearly need to go back to customer service school.

I am in the auto industry and the experience here was very underwhelming, especially from a high line brand. I ordered a part and paid for it online for them to begin repair (lower grille replacement). I was fully expecting a call letting me know when the part arrived, followed by a time to set appointment. I had to follow up with the service writer to get that much done. Set up the appointment for a few weeks later to include a loaner. When my wife arrived for the appointment, she was greeted with attitude when explaining she was there for Jean, not Jeannie. They still put her with the wrong person, and then finally realized that my wife was correct. They did provide a loaner and it smelled like a chain smoker just got out of it and had not been cleaned out properly because in the center console was another customers banking information with routing and account numbers.The repair was supposed to take 2-4 days for a 5-6 hour job. The repair took a couple days longer than stated. Then when I followed up as did my wife, it was attitude on the phone as if it was an inconvenience to them to ask for an update on the day stated it would be completed. My wife does a follow up call on the next day, and was hung up on. Each call had an excuse on why it wasnt ready.(people quit on the service drive and then the techs had quit.) I cannot believe the lackluster service at this dealership. Like much of Austin, I will be taking my business to the Sewell location!!Side note, the gentleman today that helped move over car seats from the loaner to our vehicle, thank you. That was greatly appreciated! The only positive thing in that dealership.

Wow is all I can say. Land Rover Austin could easily be one of the best dealerships that I have ever worked with. The staff is extreamly friendly. I never once felt pressured into buying a car, but when I did, I felt in control. They never pressured me into adding anything that I didnt want. When it came for financing, the financial officer was such a fantastic guy. Made sure I understood everything before I signed. He was great.I literally have nothing bad to say about this dealership. My husband and I were super excited to be buying our first new Land Rover. We test drove several models and settled on the one we liked best. No one mentioned to us that the vehicle was used as everything we test drove was new. Not only was the vehicle used, but the back hatch was broken. We called our salesman and we were promised a call by the Manager to fix it. The manager NEVER called. I was planning on buying a Jaguar from this dealership, and that will not be happening. Buyer beware!! This is not an honest dealership.

Not only did they have the fob, at 3:00 with no appointment, they got my vehicle done so i could get on the road back to Arizona. Everyone at the dealer was great. Land Rover contacted me about the needed 2 year maintenance on my car so I made an appointment and they offered me a loaner car. They had me sign some paperwork in a couple of places and reminded me to fill the car up before I brought it back. Land Rover Austin being located downtown, I waited until the last minute to pick my car up to avoid traffic. I realized when I returned the loaner car that I forgotten to fill it up. I only used an 1/8 of a tank so I thought it would be OK. Before I drove out of the dealership I got a text with the updated receipt charging me $6 a gallon for a 1/4 tank of gas! You would think after I spent $1850 for a tune up they would have given me a break. I sure hope it was worth it to them because I won’t go back there.

My service advisor, Jean, provided outstanding service - she communicated thoroughly prior to drop off to ensure a loaner vehicle would be available. I dropped off vehicle, completed paperwork and was out of the parking lot in a loaner in less than 5 minutes! I had a similar experience upon pick up - that is what I believe Elite Care looks like! Additionally, because the service was under warranty-there was no cost to me and no attempt to add additional charges to the bill. My vehicle had been hand washed and looked great when I picked it up - this is why I am on my 3rd Jaguar in the last 20 years.

Do yourself a favor and go to Sewell Land Rover North Austin. Its well worth the extra ten minute drive. This place downtown is a fiasco that doesnt value or respect their customers, have remotely competent management, or can seem to keep staff from turning over rapidly (ive bought multiple cars from them and all the sales people who helped me are gone, also two good service reps are gone in just about two years - perhaps this directly correlates to the previous point). Seriously dealing with them, despite the vehicles themselves being phenomenal, is like being in some toxic relationship where you are being gaslighted. Then you go to Sewell and realize you arent crazy and it can and should be different. Ill never go back and am loyal to Sewell hereafter. They will get every purchase I make henceforth.

Went in for an oil change on my 2015 Range Rover Sport and received a phone Call saying the hood refused to open. Since it was now out of warranty it was open season on me.Less than 50,000 miles and the hood latch stuck, probably for lack of use.The techs removed the grille and opened the latches for a few hours of labor, had to pay it, but then the Upsell began. No way they were going to simply lubricate the hinges and move the cable back into the pull slot. They would only agree to replace every single component in the hood opening assembly from the drivers footwell to the last far hood latch. $1400 for all the labor involved and new latches, pull cable, etc. There is no more agrarian item on a Land Rover than a basic hood latch whose design goes back 50 years. It is not an electronic control unit or a thin film transistor dash display, it’s a hood latch that needs some grease....To hear my service “advisor”, it is unheard of to simply lube and replace a stuck latch, everything must be replaced with newer agrarian parts or they will not guarantee that the hood will ever open even once again.They don’t stoop to repairs and lubrication, they replace assemblies. Only. Like I was the crazy person in the conversation asking for a lube and repair. After a two day pitched battle, they finally agreed to lube the latches and reinstall them at my great peril. No warranty and please don’t come back again if I Dare to refuse their best, and most expensive, advice. I don’t know how the “advisors” are compensated but this was almost comical in how blatantly they were trying to run up the bill. Great place for warranty service but beware if you are out of warranty. They “advise” you in their own best and most profitable interest, not yours. You’re gonna get skinned with a smile...and a complimentary car wash .

Called at 11:15am today, Kristen Meredith received the call. Negotiated a deal on the 2013 RR which was on the website and available for sale. We agreed on a price of $42500 and I told her we have a deal. I asked Kristen to send me a credit app along with the maint records on the car so we could finalize everything in the next 15 -20 min. I did receive the records but never the credit app(I have perfect credit). I called 20 min after we spoke and texted her about not receiving the app. I had a strange feeling they were playing a game here. Called an hour after. 2 hours after. Nothing!!!! When I finally asked for the GM, Luke, he did answer. When I explained the situation he said the car was sold to someone else, he had no excuse and said she must have made a mistake! I couldn’t believe it. They wasted my entire day. Luke said she is one of the best and he doesn’t know why it was handled so poorly. I told him if she’s one of the best I can’t imagine the worst!!! I Then I looked on dealer rater and see 1.7 out of 5 stars. Figures!. Land Rover USA should remove the franchise from this owner. This is not a high line dealership and is run like a buy here pay here car lot! An embarrassment for the brand I love. My advice is if you need a Land Rover read the online comments and try to take your business elsewhere.

I had another great experience with Land Rover Austin (downtown). I called my service rep, John Hawthorne, to schedule my yearly service, as well as to take care of a couple of other issues with my 2012 RR HSE. John called me the week before my scheduled service to let me know there was an opening to drop my car off if I wanted to. I got my car in, he had a loaner for me...all was easy and great. John was in contact with me the entire time, letting me know what issues were found with my vehicle. Everything was taken care of quickly. I dropped it off on a Friday and picked it up on the following Monday. They even completed an inspection for me, so I could renew my registration. In the final assessment, it was another great service experience, which I’ve come to expect through the years.

When we began our car search a Range Rover was at the bottom of my list; however after a quick stop at Land Rover Austin and meeting Robert Walls my mind was changed. Not pushy or the over-the-top salesman type, just helpful and sincere. Overall experience was great and we know now we have a sales guy that is trustworthy and that we will continue to do business with in years to come. Likewise, everyone at the dealership was friendly and helpful.
