I originally left a 5 star review here based on my customer service experience. The team was friendly, provided good communication, and ‘finished’ the job on time. Little did I know at the time...I’m updating my rating now based on the quality of actual vehicle maintenance provided. I took two different cars here for state inspections and oil changes, perhaps the most basic of maintenance services. One vehicle I needed for a long road trip not long after my visit.Upon arrival at my destination after 8 hrs on the road, I discovered oil dripping from under the vehicle. I then spent an afternoon investigating the source and cleaning up the mess. Ultimately washed about half a quart of oil out of the engine compartment where it was spilled by the tech near the oil filter housing. Rechecked oil fill level several times before my return trip, and appears to be stable. We’ll see what my regular mechanic finds.On the second vehicle, I returned home to find another oil slick in my garage, pics included. This time it appears to be a loose drain pan plug, which was barely finger tight in the pan (I was easily able to turn it with oily fingers). I tightened it with proper torque and will continue to check the level. The only silver lining here is the car with the loose drain plug wasn’t the one I drove 1,000 mi round trip. Would’ve left me stranded in East TX at a minimum and easily could’ve ruined an old car we love.Called and got the run around, so here at am...If anyone at Firestone wants to try to make this right, I’d be happy to reconsider my review. Meanwhile, buyer beware.

Got my car worked on here on Saturday needed a front alignment they discovered my control arm was visually bent. They said I needed a new one I agreed. They told me they test drove it. Everything looked good to go they mention if the car is feeling funny I might need tie rods down the road. Well here I am again at Firestone on Monday not even driving my car on the weekend. My axel is coming apart! I have axel grease all over my tire! And just spend a $1000 on this in a course of three days with the Firestone credit card! With the axel coming apart im just happy I was able to take the day off of work and apologize to my clients about the incident.

Lol brought it in for a battery issue, they couldn’t find anything wrong but the axial was apparently the issue making the dash light act like that?3 weeks later my truck completely died on me and took it somewhere else. And oop it was a battery alternator issue.Anyway waste of the 100 dollar diagnosis fee.👌🏼

Came in with my travel trailer as I had a flat tire. Limped it in only to have the gentleman at the front desk (who was polite) tell me that they didn’t have a tech, the tools or equiptment to mount my already mounted and balanced wheel and tire on the trailer. I felt like I walked into a restaurant or something….it’s a tire store….you need a floor jack and a lug wrench. That’s literally it. I’d do it myself but I bought the trailer yesterday and the jack I have isn’t heavy enough or tall enough. I’m blown away. I told him I’d better go find a tire store?

Dont bring your car here if your stuck with a flat. The mechanics were nice, but the guy at the front said I would need to leave my car here possibly till the next day for a 15 minute plug smh ( sorry I mean 30-40 minute patch because they dont do plugs lol) . Like there isnt an auto zone 2.5 miles down the same street that will sell plugs and patches for under 10 dollars. Let me drive away with a screw in my tire. Dont really care, I did it myself. but the place is to commercial to individualize treatment based on problem.

I am not very experienced with cars so when I got a nail in my tire and also had to get to work, I was very overwhelmed and unsure what to do. I took my car to this Firestone and they were able to patch my tire up and hold my car overnight until I was able to pick it up. The icing on the cake was that the manager decided to cover the charge! I could not be happier with my experience.

Horrible. Wont give me any discount towards the cost of a new windshield that was supposedly busted out with a rock while in their parking lot while they were open. While they were supposed to be working out it. Supposedly fixed it in under an hour after letting it sit out there for 7 hours

Great service and friendly staff. Craig was a huge help. He explained how the winter storm affected two areas of my car. I was terrified the price to fix everything was going to be thousands of dollars, but thankfully it was very reasonably priced. He made sure my car was taken care of, which Im very grateful for. I truly appreciate the work they do at this Firestone.

I had a bolt in my tire. It was in a location that, to me, looked like it could be patched. They said it couldnt, said I needed to buy a new one. This didnt seem right. I took it to another place and they said they could patch it, no problem. Ive had this happen at other places in the past, its a quick & easy way for me to lose trust in an auto shop.The staff I talked to was nice. No complaints there.

The air pressure was low in my tire and I was so relieved that this location was close and that they were open since most tire/auto stores are closed on Sunday. The staff helped me right away and were extremely nice and helpful. Thank you!!

This Firestone is the MOST unprofessional store around and staff needs to be re-evaluated. How do you let one employee come and talk crazy to a would be customer over a scooter? And then proceed to condemn the behavior by ignoring me when I asked for the “Tech” name. Wanting to threaten me with trying to boot my car. Very poor Management PERIOD.

While AJ, the individual I worked with, was polite, I was disappointed by the lack of transparency when they charged me. First, without explaining my options, they pressured me to get the more expensive tires. Then, upon ringing me up, they included a warranty charge without even consulting me. I had to ask for a price breakdown to even know that that had been included.All in all, fine customer service from the politeness perspective. But since I think that an integral part of great customer treatment is integrity, I cannot commend this company or recommend it highly for your business. I am sticking with my go-to, old-fashioned, and trustworthy mechanic, Murphy’s Garage in the future.

Called and asked if they do free battery inspection. Was told yes. Then I asked what time they close. He told me time, it was 30 minutes before closing. I told him I could be there in few minutes. He said okai. When I got there. He then tells me there is fee for battery check and he wont check battery himself and that the only other person there was busy with other cars. That battery test cant be done until 2 days later on monday. The guy lied to me on phone when I specifically called to verify info, and didnt tell me I wouldnt be able to be serviced when I arrive 5 minutes later. Wasted my time going there just to be lied to and turned away.

They got me out of a jam on August 8th, 2020. I woke up, tried to start my Ram pickup, and it was deader than a doornail. I tried other places close to home with no luck. The Firestone crew got me right in, ran electronic diagnostics and got me out the door with a brand new battery in about 2 hours. Great job!!! Thanks much!!!

Came in for tires. Ended up needing a wheel. Trying to get information about the status of the wheel in transit and its estimated time of arrival has been like pulling teeth. First I was told it would be there Wednesday, called back Friday and it hadnt been ordered until Thursday. Alexis lied to my face about ordering it and where it would be coming from, Craig refused to give me any additional information, besides the alleged fact that it was being shipped by UPS. Asked for a tracking number and they refused to provide it. Ive tried asking to speak with the manager several days in a row now, and each time Ive called, theyve said he was in meetings. When I called twice on the same day, Alexis said he was in a meeting at the store, and Craig said he was in a meeting elsewhere. Wouldnt give out his contact information. Told them to leave him a note from me and have him call me back, havent heard back from him. Would love to speak with Carl so that I can get more information about the wheel. This process shouldnt be this complicated. Update: after getting my car back, I discovered that my sunglasses were stolen out of the vehicle.

I needed a tire repair and the wait there was a little long. The very nice people at this Firestone helped me fill up my spare tire and helped me get going again. This is a good place with some good peopleBe careful of dumb kids on scooters when you exit though

This was one of the worse experiences I had. I left my car there overnight because they werent able to finish the work during the day. When I picked up my car, the side window wiper was torn by someone with a footprint there. Clearly, someone damaged it. When I tried to ask the service advisor, I believe his name is CARL, and he told me Ohh, it happens, and the rubber deteriorated over time. I didnt want to argue with him, but clearly, the deterioration wont happen overnight!! He was so RUDE. My car was on their possession and it is their responsibility to fix the car not ruin it!!!!DONT EVER GO TO THIS PLACE.I called in and tried to discuss this again and they just hung up the phone!!

Very nice people and fast service! Called before I went in and was told on the phone I would only wait an hour and half if I went in soon, when I got to the shop they said it was going to take a long time and that I would have to come back in the late afternoon to pick up my car. After letting the sales associate know my conversation on the phone prior, they found the person I spoke to on the phone and she confirmed that I was promised an hour and a half wait. Well they happily honored their word and I was in and out of there right on time! My car is running great now thanks to their good and speedy service!

While driving home from work with the windows down, I heard a noise. When I got home, I discovered a nail in my tire. I immediately started calling around and no one had availability. When I called Firestone, Brett answered the phone and said come on in, we will take care of you. When I got there, my truck went right on the lift and they started looking at my tire. Kevin the technician told me that he could patch it and would take care of it. I am so grateful they were able to fit me in and fix my tire. I was not looking forward to changing a tire in the rain. I was in and out in less than an hour. The friendliness and level of customer service was stellar! We had been bringing my wifes old car here and always had a good experience. I will continue to tell everyone I speak to that Firestone is the place to go! Thanks again guys!

If there was an option for 0 stars, thats what Id give. It all started with a simple oil change at the beginning of the weekend. The next day, my car completely died while driving on the road and I had it towed to Firestone for convenience factors. I was almost 100% sure that it was my alternator, so I first had to pay the alternator diagnostic charge. After a day of repairs and $700 in charges, I finally got my car back. The very next day, my car almost fell apart on the highway. I immediately went back to Firestone and they said in order for them to look at it I would have to pay the $80 diagnostic charge! Lets remember this is the day after spending $700 at the same location. I wound up taking my car to Daves Ultimate Automotive on N. Lamar (these guys were great by the way and didnt charge me a dime) to find out that the problems I was having were a direct result of the work Firestone did the day before. I will never give this place any type of business again and I strongly recommend you take your car elsewhere unless you want to get screwed. I was very disappointed with their customer service, especially given the fact that I was talking directly to Brad, the branch manager. They dont care about the customer...its all about the money at Firestone.

Got my truck towed into Firestone one evening because my tire blew out. The next morning it was repaired and was ready to go. Plus I payed a fraction of what a full price tire would cost because of the warranty. Also The mechanics at Firestone we’re friendly and gave great customer service, I definitely will be back to this Firestone for service in my truck!

It was a Sunday afternoon and I was on the phone with the 3rd automotive company which refused their service to inspect my vehicle. Subsequently I proceeded to call more companies, and to my blessing Craig answers my call. Low and behold, with the best hospitality and superlative customers service, he invites me to bring my car down. I did so, and he handled business in lickity split. Upon realizing they close early on Sunday, I rushed over only to realize I was 5 minutes late. To my disbelief, Craig was waiting there for me with my car ready to go. He went above and beyond and took His time out of His Sunday to assist me. This is incredible customer service and that is an understatement. I will now, and forever, be a firestone customer.

My wife and I have personally known two of the men who work at this location for over 20 years. They are very honest, conscientious, knowledgeable and dedicated to their work and their customers.I would take my car to this location regardless of my friendship.It’s a busy place but my dad always said: “Don’t take your car to a place that’s not busy. “

Good service but pricey. Closest tire shop to downtown. If your at work and in need drop it off at lunch and pick it up for the commute hope. Although it was more expensive than other tire shops, the convenience of not having to travel several miles out of downtown during a workday made it worth it

This shop may seem convenient at first, RUN - DONT WALK AWAY FROM THEM. They not only overcharge for everything, they have a terrible approach to customer service. I have gone there three times now, once for a bid for brakes, once for a headlight, and once for a check engine light - each time they have come back with prices $150 over any other shop. Also, if you are going to them for emissions, forget about it...the inspector never shows up, they dont take reservations, and when they do finally accept your car - they are extremely unaccommodating. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND staying far away from this shop.

They were so friendly and straight forward about the brake repair/replacement I needed. Good attitudes, honesty, promptness- it made my day. I wouldnt have chosen Firestone if I could have driven further, honestly- but I had it wrong, and I will definitely return.

Dont be fooled by the negative reviews! I found a nail in my tire over the holiday weekend and this location was quick to squeeze me in regardless of how busy they already were. Craig was welcoming, personable and left a lasting impression in a situation that could have been a damper. Will definitely bring my car back here!

Craig and the rest of Firestone team have taken care of me time and time again for over 8 years. They always do a great job thats fast, quality, and without adding a bunch of unnecessary services or charges. They appreciate their customers and are always so friendly n helpful. Thats why I keep coming back.

Have brought my car here several times the past ~4 years for minor service, mostly because of the convenient location. Today will be the last time, however, as Im fed up with their horrible customer service. At best, the front counter staff has always seemed like youre bothering them. Today I tried to ask why, for a routine tire replacement, I was being charged more than I was originally quoted when I dropped the car off, and the agent him-hawed around about higher labor and couldnt even explain the basic required charges for the service. When I wasnt letting him off the hook about this extra charge not listed on the initial estimate, he shut down. Im going to drive farther to go to a local shop next time; Im looking forward to the homegrown attitude of service.

This location is amazing. From the initial phone call i made to them they where 100 % onntop of things. Not once trying to steer me in a diffrent direction but more so what was best for me and the circumstances. Professional 100%. This is my place to go for any auto needs that they cover and if there was an issue for something else i know they would.guide in the proper direction. Its was the best customer service.

I have traded at this location for years because it is so conveniently located within walking distance from my home. Now having said that if the guys were not good service people I would not hesitate to go elsewhere. I appreciate the thoroughness that the service people provide for my vehicle and for myself as well. Thank you for providing an A#1 service team.

The people here are cool, a bit assertive but that comes with the amount of work they have to do. But they do quality work... I hope.

Had my tires delivered there from Tire Rack. Went in to see if they could put them on for me. Was met with a rude gentleman named Craig- did not look up from his computer once to look me in the eye, had to continually ask what next steps were for my car, seemed very inconvenienced by my presence. After prodding for information for about 5 mins, that no customer should be required to find out, I left seeing as there was no reason to continue my business. After tending to personal business, proceeded to call in and speak to a woman named Alexis- she was the only saving grace for this review. Walked through steps and explained it would be very hard for me to get my tires done timely that weekend (due to ACL) she then pointed me down the road to one of the other locations and even gave me the number. I immediately went and picked my tires up and left to head to the other location. Thanks Alexis for having great customer service :)

I have gone to this location for tires, brakes and oil changes and they have been great. Reliable service and the prices appear to be fairly standard for these services. I have not gone here for engine repairs as I usually send my car to the dealer for that, but for basic maintenance this Firestone location is reliable.

Was about to drive to Houston on Christmas Eve when I found a nail in my tire. Firestone was fantastic and managed to patch/plug my tire quickly and ended up staying open 10 minutes past closing so I could get to Houston that day.

The service reps went out of their way to find me a used wheel that was a match to my existing wheels...at a fraction of a new wheel price. Service was quick and friendly, too! I was on crutches and Craig rushed out to open the door for me and pulled my car right up to the entrance to save me hopping the extra distance. Chivalry is alive and well at Firestone on South Congress!

The staff was great help n Carl was understanding with our issue with the truck. Had to get safety n shocks done for title chg. Even the safety did had the wrong vin they corrected it quickly so we can get this done. Big thank you Carl and staff.

Been doing busness at Firestone in Pflugerville for years and always treated right there. After my experience at s congress. dealing with a blown out tire taking 4 days to put on and having to spend 220 dollars for a tow when my car was around the corner on Ceasar Chavez. im done with Firestone. The store manager and area manager are horrifically rude and totally ambivalent to. the bind they put me in. They could care less. The area manager chewed me out for calling customer care after not getting back to me in a timely manner. Im bummed to have to tell Dan in Pflugerville I will never bring my cars or buy tires at Firestone ever again. This company has. nosedived since Jerry Stevens left. Take your car elsewhere.

So pleased with the service I encountered with this location. Craig was very helpful and respectful. He explained the issues wrong with my car without trying to pitch a sale. Not knowing what could be wrong is always intimidating, so I was thankful not to be taken advantage of.

What a rush, to find an open mechanics place on a Sunday! The AAA guy took me there, and they fixed my car pretty darn quickly. They even put the car ahead of another one (because he left his for the day).

Really impressed by this place, they are always honest on repairs and if they can’t fix it right(something dealer specific) they don’t overcharge for the diagnostic or try band-aid fixes. Been coming here for 2 years.

Wow, this place used to be the #1 best auto care shop in the entire state of Texas, back when Brad Somers was the managing partner. But now that this new guy Carl Gramzow is the managing partner, things have really gone downhill extremely quickly. Carl has a poor attitude, he doesnt really enjoy helping customers, and that bad attitude has trickled down to the rest of the staff as well -- who are now not only less competent (multiple repairs not completed properly), but they also dont care about the customers either. We will not be patronizing Firestone again.

I had a nail stuck on my tire and needed it patched. Both of the gentlemen working there were very courteous and even provided some advice for my tire locks.They charged me a normal amount and even though it took slightly longer than the one hour estimate they provided.Id go back. I usually try to choose local places for these types of things, but sometimes you cant beat good service.

Lying, despicable, monsters. How anyone who works for this company sleeps at night is completely beyond me. After two months of research and falsifying their records theyre refusing to take any responsibility for anything so were going to court, but can now add sexual harassment to the suit. It is my new life mission to make sure everyone I know and will ever know goes out of their way to avoid giving this horrific company any money.

Good honest place to get your vehicles state inspection done.

For the first time ever, I was impressed with the service at an automotive garage! I needed a wheel bearing replaced and I was trying to drop off on a Friday morning and get it back the same day to try and get out of town for the weekend. I wasnt holding out much hope, thinking it would be all day and might be ready later in the afternoon. I dropped it off @ 8:15am and was surprised to get a call at 12:20pm that it was ready. I about did a backflip. Picked it up and drove nice and smoothe as it should. The work was done well and the customer service by the guys was excellent as they took the time to call my 2nd party extended warranty company to iron out payment details, I paid my deductible and was on my way. Based upon my experience, I would recommend!

DO NOT GO HERE EVER! I took my car here once for an oil change. They recommended a new battery, in which I complied. Two days later, my car wouldnt start and I had to get my car towed back. After they analyzed everything, they said that I needed to get a new starter for $300. It was too sketchy for me because they just worked on my car a few days ago and now this new issue comes up and theyre trying to upsell me.I did some research and took my car to Juke Auto, they have a great reputation for being fully honest with their customers. After they inspected everything, it turns out the the issue was not the car starter like Firestone had suggested. What happened was the people at Firestone had poorly installed the battery, which caused my car to not start. They didnt properly connect the battery to my car, as if it was intentional so I would have this starting issue. Juke Auto said that the Firestone service was absolutely inexcusable and that I should demand a compensation for all the troubles. I went back to Firestone and did just that.Moral of the story, Firestone S Congress are shady and will do damage to your vehicle so they can get business from you. Go to Juke Auto for quality vehicle service, honesty, and peace of mind.

I brought my truck back here for a reoccurring problem that they had not fixed in the first place. Craig was rude and unhelpful. After keeping my truck for 3 days they told me they could not figure out the problem. I was told to tow it to the dealer for a new computer. I took it to another shop (Yost Automotive on N. Lamar who are GREAT) they diagnosed the problem in 30 minutes and had me on the road before lunch. I would NEVER recommend anyone wasting their time on Firestone on S. Congress.

I was told it would be a 1-1/2 hr wait and after calling for an update after 2hrs they continued to tell me it would be another 2 hrs for a very basic tire patch job. I would never go back to this location.

Service was terrible, they were rude the entire time and seemed annoyed to be working in the first place. Went to a different location in Roundrock and received much better service.

They will mark up the price on every single price you need by at least 300%, while offering you unnecessary repair work to your vehicle. And the guy with the long gray hair is really good at convincing you, youre going to damage your vehicle if you do not purchase this over priced repair job.

Got my state inspection for less than $20!!! Service is good and gave me recommendations of things I needed to fix but they were not pushy about it.

The staff are unfriendly. They told me the car would be ready in one hour or so they took a day and a half. Never go there!

Driving through austin on a road trip to costa rica. took my truck in because it was making a clanking sound. was told by the sales rep in nashville it need the front struts replaced for around $350. told the sales rep. dave at the austin firestone the service engine soon light was on and needed it taken care of before i cross the border. they they told me it was now going to cost $750. they needed to do an alignment. im on a time schedule so i say yes. they didnt look at the service light at all and i noticed the car was still pulling to the right when i get on the highway. i was also quoted for a front turning light housing in nashville for $200-$500. i decline because i thought i could fine a used one. i looked up on ebay and that part was $25 new. Firestone is a rip off dont go there. plus their selling point is honesty. HONESTY! Bunch of liars if you ask me.
