It’s kind of a mess, but always admirably organized for so large a store with so small a staff. Overall pretty good selection of stuff. Friendly employees with good customer service. It’s worth stopping by and perusing. Remember to wash clothes you purchase before wearing them.

Visited 7-17-21 from out of town on a busy Saturday. We missed half price days so prices were kind of high fora thrift store but the store was immaculately clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Dressing rooms were still closed. Always there are treasures to find at a Goodwill and this one was no exception. Convenient location and ample parking.

Its a good store, but MAYBE half the employees were fully masked. Well organized and managed. As always, prices are right on, comfortable & definitely worth the stop to browse 2 or 3 times monthly. Regular browsing, focus on true wants & occasionally a hard to find oddity not giving in to setting for something less are keys to making the best.Combining all the other thrifts in town with this approach, one can dress very smartly for a few dollars & some change.Cant approach the feel-good savings in a fashionable boutique, haberdashery or name-brand store.Truth tell, no one will point their finger at my fashionable pull-over polo-style shirt or at anothers tie-dyed Sun-dress and say -Thats 2nd-handI on the other hand, have no problem telling anyone -Hey, look what I found last weekend in aGoodwill Thrift Store for $7.99.Its like New (is New for me) costing say,$35.oo.Picked up several items today. Summer items- cargo shorts, collared pull-over shirts...During early winter & winter proper summer items marked down to sell off the rack & shelf space theyre taking but needed to showcase winter items in immediate need.See, Goodwill isnt in the business of warehousing or of stockpiling and certainly not of hoarding. This Goodwill Thrift is A-1 ✨✨✨✨✨✨ with a well managed Half Price Books next door.Wouldnt surprise if these managers know each other, meet once in a while to talk shop.Peace ✌️Brian Bruce

When you find something with a price that says $0.99 youd expect to be able to buy that product for the literal ticket price, no? Instead I stood in line while they had to check the price, then repriced it right in front of me adding $5 to the price. Is that how its supposed to work? Whats the point of putting prices on things if youre just going to change them at the register? Obviously I didnt buy it and if this is how they run things I am not going to bother coming here again. I feel sorry for people that think they are getting something they need for a great price to only have the cashier and manager decide to make it more expensive because they feel like it. Find a thrift store or other second hand market where they dont refuse to honor the price they gave the donated item theyre selling used.

All of the Goodwill stores in Austin are excellent for finding hidden treasures, but my favorite is the location on North Lamar. My most recent visit was to look for a last- minute Halloween costume, and they had at least 5-6 long rows of choices neatly organized. The womens department is expansive and is larger then most Goodwill stores. The staff was really friendly and the dressing rooms were spacious and well cleaned (no mountain-piles of clothes to be found). Donations are taken around the left-hand side of the building. I have made several drops and the staff has always been accommodating and will help you unload larger items.

As all Goodwills most of their items are overpriced. And my biggest complaint with Goodwill, is it people think theyre a charity. Which they are not. They are claimed to nonprofit, is it they put unemployed people to work! Every business in the world goes that. And do to people thinking they are a true charity they give all their stock for free people should look at places like the Salvation Army first. The Salvation Army puts 90% toward charity. Goodwill is a for-profit corporation. Goodwill of Central Texas the CEO makes hundreds of thousands of dollars a year. The chancellor of Salvation Army Gibson support and a place to live in about 40,000 a year people donate smartlyUPDATE to the response, YOU can decide what to be leave, but do your research,. I own a small business and I donate percentage wise, more then they ever will they are a fake cover up for a FOR PROFIT business.

This Goodwill is highly trafficked by the bargain bin fashionistas of Austin. They offer an extensive collection of well-organized men and womens clothing. During Halloween, they typically have rows of costumes available and even a surprising amount of accessories. Dont wait too long though because it gets picked over fairly quickly.Half Price Books is located next door for your used reading material needs.

Coming here is like going on a treasure hunt. I have a thing for 1960s to early 80s cookware and glassware and for that this is the place to go! Review №56

Well for those on small or limited budgets Goodwill is renowned for having affordable used goods. Although that has changed some as they have begun s boutique program to become more relevant and shed the onus of used goods (especially clothing) at a time when the practicality and savings inherent in recycling (especially of clothing) have made it more fasionsble. The.change has meant higher prices without a corresponding rise in quality or selection. But for gently abused furniture it is still the best place to furnish an apartment or house for very little (few things cost more than $20 or $30 with many surprising bargains at $10 or less). In line with the boutique idea they also now carry a line of new housewares of their own branding, which are competitive with similar items elsewhere on price and quality.Granted this is not to place to find a unified style or one that makes an outstanding statement (except perhaps, painfully poor). There is still much to find here at reasonable prices that will serve and give one a good feeling of doing something good for something (even if only ones budget).

This is a pretty decent Goodwill as far as the employees which is why the 2 stars. They have a lot of stuff but the auctions they have are new to me. I think some of these people are there in hopes to be recognized and put into a TV series of people who buy junk they dont need and bid out outrageous prices for used stuff that was donated for free. Arizona dont do this and they also give you a discount coupon if you donate anything. They dont here in Texas. They are terrible at offering things to the public at a reasonable price. They are greedy and I hope they are put out out of business for their greed.

I am able to find a lot at this location because its so close to my house... I come here often enough to keep up with the turnover in selection. The furniture area is a surprisingly good spot- though I havent bought much from there yet. I DID get an amazing vintage red armchair, that I almost fought with another woman to get. Luckily all 54 of me is pretty pretty preeeetty intimidating so she backed off on her own. Ive seen a lot of couches that are in great shape and are under $100.The frame/art sections is where I spend most time, and Ive been able to frame just about an entire walls worth of prints for ridiculously cheap. I go with my tape measure in hand, which makes guessing out of the question.
