This bookstore was welcoming and full of little surprises. There were books for people of all ages, and they had beautiful jewelry as well. The owner was very friendly and gift-wrapped our books for us without charge which made it extra special. 10/10. If you are ever in the area you should definitely stop here.

Adorable, funky bookstore with so much charm and function. Local handmade art on every surface. Golden swirls surround you as you peruse new and used books. Found the perfect gift and vintage book in great condition. The owner even wrapped them in brown paper with this cute bow.

Sweet Reads is an amazing book store. It is jam packed with treasures, goodies and of course books! Love that local Authors are heavily highlighted and supported. Lisa the owner is amazing!

The only downside to this store is that I cant buy every single book in here! Got some great books and cute mittens, and wow was the owner friendly. She talked with us and made us all feel so welcome! She pointed out some great little spots we would like and I cant wait to see her again :)

Sweet reads is an amazing / magical shop. They have a great variety of books including but not limited to hard to find antique along with a large selection of books from local Minnesota authors. The owner is extremely knowledgeable and makes great suggestions.This is a must stop if you are in Austin MN in my opinion.

Sweet Reads is just that ..... a sweetheart of a place to find excellent reads! Of course the store would be nothing without the effervescent presence of Lisa, the owner. She makes every customer feel not only welcome, but also more special than theyve ever felt. Lisa is untiring in her involvement with books and Austin. Just reading her schedule makes you exhausted...........and she has a full time teaching job on top of that.Be certain to make Sweet Reads a habit that you never want to break. Austin is so much improved because of it. Reading will always be abundant and affordable because of this sweet little shop.

Spent the weekend in Austin for a basketball tournament. My 7th grade girls stopped in and the owner was just awesome visiting with them. My wife and I also visited and its a cool bookstore with new and used books. If you like books or sweets a must place to visit if your in Austin Mn

We first stopped here a few weeks after it opened and loved it immediately. The owner is so kind and helpful. We stopped back in about a year later and were thrilled to see it thriving, glad there are still bookstores like this around.

What a lovely treasure to fall upon! Had a great time browsing local artist book selections, beautiful and fun decor, and making a new friend! Books were reasonably priced, and the variety of books outstanding! We will be back to visit with our new friend!

Very cute shop in the heart of downtown. Located right across the street from the Spam museum. This bookstore has new, and vintage plus nostalgic candy selections. Also it is home to the largest Bearanstain Bears collection which was fun to look at. If youre in Austin MN its well worth the stop.

A wonderful bookstore. I find something every time I go in. The owner is amazingly sweet and friendly. There are also fun events throughout the month: poetry nights, book shares, and visiting authors. Also fun miscellaneous stuff, and of course candy!

I love this place. The owner has read every book and gives guidance in purchasing. She wraps your books like a goft, which of course, they are. The shop is quirky and delightfully decorated. The candy is unique. All moderately priced.

There is a great selection of new and used books here at perfect prices! I love bringing my children here to refresh our bookshelves. I was SUPER stoked today, as I found The Wonky Donkey for sale here. I couldnt pass it up!

Loved this bookstore! Its set up in a really nice way that is very friendly. The owner was so happy and welcoming. We came when it was closing time, so we didnt get to spend a ton of time there, but well definitely be back. They also sell new and used books there. The used books looked almost brand new!

This place is a must visit if you are in downtown Austin!!!! Its right across the street from the Spam museum. There is a wide collection of new and used books. I found some old favorites I purchased for $2 each. Lots of other fun things to look at, plus a collection of Berenstein Bears memorabilia. Staff is so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!
