First off, the person who braided my hair was cool. The owner on the other hand was extremely unprofessional. If you decide to go to her, make sure you thoroughly communicate what you are wanting when it comes to length and the kind of hair you should use or bring. This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a hair braiding shop. Absolute waste of my time and money.

We’re from Cali and we have a braider we love there. We were in Austin this week because my daughter is performing at ACL. We had a hard time finding quality braids for her first weekend. This weekend we found Nala Braids and they killed it! Gave her what she needed to bring it on stage! There were also professional and cool!

I got my small knotless box braids done by Nala. She and her team have 20 years experience with braiding hair. Initially, I was nervous about getting my hair done, however their hospitality made me comfortable. It’s been almost a week now. No headaches and my edges are still laid. She knows her craft and definitely has me as a returning customer.

Austin Newbie and took a leap go faith to book with Nala based on the reviews and she exceeded my expectationsI got small knotless boxbraids and she was able to wrap it up in about 6 hours. once she was done braiding the aftercare was amazing.I intend to book with her again and if youre reading this review, I recommend you go on and set that appointment. it will be worth it.

Nala Braids are soooo good. They were very nice and professional. The work is amazing. This was my first time going and I got knotless braids and I’m in LOVE with them. I’ve been trying to find a braider here in Austin for a while now and no one has really captured my vision until now!!! Definitely would recommend 10/10!!!! Will be returning for sure!!

I booked with NALA braids about a week before my appointment and she was able to get me in and out of the chair within the time she specified for the service. I loved the braids and cant wait to try a different style next time.

I got my braids done 7 weeks ago and I am STILL getting compliments. She is extremely precise which takes time, but she is flexible and listens to what you want. I am someone who will take my braids out immediately if I don’t like them. And this is the first time I actually really liked my braids on the first day they were done. They last. The price is worth it. The patience and time is worth it.

She uses brushes directly after clients without cleaning them. She’s always late (working on someone’s hair during my scheduled time) I asked for the parts on my braids to be smaller so the braids can last longer, and she told me no. The last time I got my hair braided by her it was sloppy. I paid for small braids and got large braids with large parts. If I’m spending my hard earned money I’d expect for her to listen to me and do my hair how I asked.Edit after your response:I don’t know why you’re lying, or using “we” you are one person braiding out of your living room apartment. You book your appointments back to back, ergo I had to wait an hour while you finished a woman’s braids.The first time I came to your apartment I had to wait for you to finish a woman’s hair, the second time I came to your shop I had to wait again for you to finish a woman’s hair. You don’t sterilize any of your combs, or tooth brushes for baby hairs. Because I watched you finish a previous clients hair, then pick up the greasy comb you used on her for my hair. You don’t have a license around, and you’re unhygienic. I’ll never come to your shop again. You advertise work that isn’t yours from google, then when I request the style posted on YOUR page you get an attitude, do the braids sloppy, and charge over a hundred dollars for you to do it late. I asked for small parts, and when you finished, the gaps were so big, it looked like I could park a car in between the braids. You also did my braids before spring break, I never said they were done during the outbreak. God bless your business and the deluded people you have making fake reviews for you.

So, maybe it was my fault but I try to give people the benefit of the doubt. She said she can do knotless braids. My niece hair hasn’t been up 2 weeks and it looks like kids been playing thru her hair. When, my niece arrived home & I seen here hair. I was like this was not worth $170 Nala did what she wanted to do & still charged the whole price. I even txted her that day have not heard anything back from her yet. She is not in a store front she works out of her Apt . Very disappointed
