Finally found an honest and knowledgeable auto repair shop! I took one of my cars in and they did such a great job that I brought in my other car for repairs. They even provided me with a loaner car while they repaired my cars. Danny the owner is very responsive and makes sure everything was taken care of. I will never go anywhere else. They do it all! Nothing but good to share about Tech One. My expedition is 8 years old and was in need of a thorough inspection and recommendation for fluids and mechanical work that would bring it up to spec for 140,000 mi.. After looking at reviews, and liking what I saw about this place and it being family owned, I called for an appointment. I like the way I was handled on the phone and took it in the next day. I was called a few hours later with a list of things that they recommended, none of which were a surprise to me. They also sent me a text with a link to a complete description of needs. I liked that. I gave them the go-ahead and two days later picked up my truck. One issue was not resolved because it was a recall by Ford so I was provided a complete description of the recall information and a printout of the computer report to take to Ford. I recommend this place!

Ive only been to one shop in town, but I wouldnt take my Acura anywhere else. They are very honest and fair - they tell you exactly what needs to be taken care of now and what can wait. I like that your service manager can text you or call you.

I have used Tech One for previous issues including getting new tires, replacing an O2 sensor and multiple oil changes, all of which I didnt shop around for pricing on (I now know better). But today, they disappointed me more than I could have imagined.Last week I took my car in because it wasnt starting very well. I was thinking it just needed a new battery, but I am not very interested in/knowledgable about cars and wanted to see if they could help me figure it out for sure. When I went in, they told me it was the whole fuel pump system and charged me $1000 for replacing it.Yesterday (4 days after the repair), I noticed that my car was still not starting well and it smelled terrible (like eggs/sulfur) whenever it was sitting still. So, I took my car back earlier today. They told me that my car needed a $219 battery replacement on top of the previous costs. By now, I was very upset and started asking questions about the fuel pump.The guy answering my questions seemed to be making excuses and said that my fuel pump was only working at 75% capacity so they had to replace all of it. I confirmed if this was the case with another mechanic, and he said it was not and that it was probably just the battery in the first place. So, I spent the evening replacing my own battery and of course, it then started perfectly and had no smell.Needless to say, I will not return to Tech One and I will make sure to spread the word that theyre ripping people off. Their customer service masks the fact that they take advantage of those who are not mechanically literate and they clearly dont value honesty in their work.

This place is professional, caring, efficient, and personable. I am recommending this place to other people. They treated me with utmost respect! They have a company vehicle to help get you back and forth to where you need to be while your vehicle is being serviced. I cannot even come in them enough. They treated me with such kindness and I really needed that at this time. At a time when people are stressed out & overwhelmed to find a gem of a company like in my neighborhood is a huge blessing! From the phone call, all the way to the end of the situation when they told me they put my spare tire on as a courtesy!! I walked out of there feeling so uplifted! Super amazing people!!!!! 💕

Outrageously overpriced. Came by to have them take a look at a coolant leak where the lower radiator hose meets the water pump. Had them also rotate tires and check my wiper fluid pump because it had stopped working. The quote I received was $1200 plus tax for new upper and lower radiator hoses, coolant flush, water pump/thermostat and a new wiper fluid pump. Mind you the coolant flush is essentially a part of replacing the water pump as is removing the thermostat anddd taking off a couple hoses with a screw driver (hose replacement alone was almost $250)… these were quoted as basically a stand alone items. These are not expensive parts… conservative estimates would put all parts in total around $250..The labor cost at this garage is outrageously high. They really push that there is a 5 year 50,000 mile warranty on their services but that in no way justifies price gouging customers on minor maintenance work. I found it incredibly disappointing that they lived up to the stereotype for a garage trying to squeeze money out of potentially unsuspecting or unaware customers. Don’t assume your clients have no idea how much things cost, how long the work takes or how these jobs actually overlap inherently in the design of the systems. I ended up purchasing all parts for $250 and completed the job myself in my driveway. Pleasant people to deal with but disappointed in the unfair labor prices. Will not return.

Nice for inspections, however pay close attention to your vehicle... conveniently my transmission magically started leaking after power steering pump got replaced, I had to remove the pan and replace the ATF to stop leak. Btw the leak was way too large to have existed before getting car repaired! After a day I had lost 3 quarts (2001 Pontiac Grand Am GT with 3.8L engine and sealed automatic transmission)

Im new to the city and I went around to about 5 different shops that week one repair shop passively aggressively left unfinished business costing me double the time. Another guy even yelled at me and kicked me from his mechanical office for asking too many questions about the service. I was bummed out :( Then I found this place. Not only did they go above and beyond, they took the time to explain everything and find the best solution for me to move forward. Everything was done in a timely kind manner. Incredible service with great prices too. If you need a fresh of breath air, go here! Mental clarity = better decisions and better quality work. Im glad I stood my ground and didnt settle for less. Now I have my place to go.

They didnt manage to fix my tire the first time I brought it in, turns out there was a second screw in the treads. They fixed the second hole promptly and didnt charge me for the extra repair. Stand up guys, really friendly and professional.

I brought my car in at 30,000 miles and asked what should be done. Instead of selling me an expensive, one-size-fits-all package, they examined my car and made some reasonable suggestions. No pressure, no hard sell. They also found a cracked axel and gave me plenty of time to talk to Hyundai first. Since Hyundai wasn’t interested in giving me a service appointment for 3 months (!!!) I had Tech One do the repair. The price was reasonable and they gave me a ride home and even offered a loaner vehicle. I recommend Tech One for their superb service, reasonable prices, and unfaltering integrity.

These guys are amazing! I was about 1/2 mile down the street and my battery died. I called Jiffy lube, and U-haul for help, neither were able to help me. I called Tech one and they came to my rescue. They drove me back to my vehicle and jumped it for me. They did not expect anything in return. Most companies these days wouldn’t have helped. I really appreciate their kindness and will tell everyone I can my story. I will be doing business with them in the future. Thanks again!

There has only been three auto repair shops that I have trusted, but Tech One has to be my favorite hands down. They have been honest, professional, gotten me out the door with honest prices, and always keep me up to date via in person and email updates on what repairs, oil changes are coming up, and if there are any other manufacturers repair issues that come up. Not only that I get follow up messages ensuring that everything is running smoothly on my vehicle after a repair has been made. Their dedication to their quality of work is obvious.

Ive received several quotes from them. One recommended a $1.2K A/C condenser replacement; another for a $1.4K catalytic converter (the part for one side - not including labor), and another was $800 for coolant hose(s) replacement - 2, maybe 4 hoses...I thanked Tech One and went to seek other opinions. It really hit home when a mechanic said, if you AC gets cold after a bit, the condenser doesnt need to be replaced... The coolant leak hose(s) replacement ended up being a $300 job (including parts) somewhere else, and the $1.4K catalytic converter is how much the part costs for both driver and passenger converters.I did get my oil changed there - noticed low oil pressure immediately after leaving. A Mobile1 technician told me that the oil reservoir was less than 2/3s full and that it definitely doesnt look like oil that had been new 2-3 days ago...Save your money. Save your aggravation. Dont get scammed.

Tech One Automotive is by far my favorite mechanic shop in Austin Texas, for many good reasons! I first started using them when I was used car shopping...I brought many different used vehicles to them for pre-purchase inspections...And every time, they took their time and were very thorough and always found whatever issues the cars might be hiding and even would take photos and provide a detailed report. They even found some significant repairs that needed done on one car that I bought and I ended up being able to use their report as a substantial bargaining tool on it to get a better deal! Since then I have trusted them with all of my repairs and routine maintenance because I trust their integrity of work behind closed doors. If something isnt quite right, they will always do their best to try and make it right. They are a bunch of honest and hard-working guys from different backgrounds who have built a business with a great atmosphere based on honesty and quality work. And a lot of them are car enthusiasts as well and seem to enjoy what they do. For those of you watch a lot of YouTube, this is the kind of shop that would easily get a Scotty Kilmer seal of approval IMO.

I arrived here after a bad experience with a nearby mechanic. The previous mechanic couldnt figure it out after 5 days, Tech One crew diagnosed the problem in a day and fixed it.

TechOne can be trusted to provide excellent service at a reasonable price. You pay for what you get, in other words. They are very professional, and best for me as a female customer, they dont ignore or talk down to me like so many male-led car repair services do. They explain things clearly so I understand what theyre doing and why.

Pros:Speedy, friendly, no bologna service.They have a shuttle if your service is lengthy, drivers attitude was quite amicable even at 730am so that was a blessing.Their waiting area has a comfy red leather couch (pictured). Sitting in the couch, and I mean in the couch, you unexpectedly melt away, a subject of its gentle caress. I lounged for about 5 minutes, waiting for the shuttle, and it was the best 5 minutes of my day.The waiting area has coffee from a Keurig. Not a big coffee man myself but I dont like the appearance of those 1960s drip-drop coffee makers so I was pleased to see a more modern look.Continuing on that, the modern styling of the Keurig clashed somewhat brilliantly with the overall decor. Very 1950s, red, white and black interior which fits in with the retro-trendy chic for which Austin is so well known. An antique Coca-Cola cooler, now repurposed as a TV stand, (pictured) seals the room together. Bravo to the design team.Cons:P Terrys is approximately 20 feet away but Im trying to get shredded for summer so those dont mix. Cheat day for me I guess.Daily juice is also 20 feet away if you have more discipline and less taste buds than I do. (thats a review for another time)I dont live close to this location, nor do I have any business on Burnet, but I suppose thats more of a personal con than one that might affect a reader. Ill leave it anyway.

Ive taken my car to Tech One three times. First time was for a repair that they let me know could be done at my dealership for free because the car was still under warranty, so they saved me money there. The second time was for an A/C repair. The most recent time was for a battery diagnostic, which they performed for free. I appreciate their honesty and professionalism and will return again for sure!

Ive been to Tech One a few times now and recently they repaired my AC system. They did a thorough job and it works great. Actually, I think it works better now than it ever has. Ill definitely be going back there for my future car needs.

A rodent chewed up wiring which caused several warnings to occur and several systems to fail in my F150 such as cruise, power steering assist and lane departure. The local Ford dealer in S. Austin, told me the fix was to replace the rack and pinion steering system for $3000. Dealer said nothing about damage to wiring from a rodent. I took it to Tech One and they diagnosed and fixed in a day for 1/6 what the dealer wanted to charge!!

Wouldnt take my car anywhere eles! Exceptional service and mechanics. They always make u feel like family.

This is a rather late review, but I have to say there is a reason that Tech One has 4.9 stars. My car has had so many issues and each time I have brought my car to them they have been so nice, very informative with whats going on and Trent always takes the time to explain exactly what is happening and what they are going to do. Theyve never done anything unnecessary and I have never felt like I was being taken advantage of. This last time I had to get my car towed there, they were even nice enough to give me a courtesy ride home, which made all the difference after working night shift! I am really glad I found these guys.

This review is long overdue. The guys at Tech One have been taking great care of my family and our cars for years.Everyone at Tech One is always positive, friendly and helpful. I dont think theyre solely in the business to make money. Theyve given me advice many times and dont always recommend the most expensive service and sometimes recommend that I do nothing at all which is unlike a lot of shops.Most of their work has been exceptional but theyre not perfect and do sometimes make mistakes but when they do they always go above and beyond to make it right and make sure were happy. That honesty is so much more valuable to me then always giving the appearance of doing everything right.They always work with me on scheduling and arranging rides and even when they recommended another shop to me for something and that shop made a mistake, Tech One took ownership of the problem and fixed it themselves. That kind of accountability will always win me over as a customer.I dont normally say things like this about customer/business relationships that I have but Tech One feels more like trusted friends than just my mechanic. They just happen to be friends who do great work on our cars.I truly believe they follow the philosophy of take care of people and the money will follow which is incredibly important to me.

I recently noticed a nail in the side-wall of my tire while out at the grocery store. I didnt even consider looking for a nearby shop since the tire was still full. I headed straight to Tech One Automotive - I trust them THAT much! They informed a new tire would be necessary because of the side-wall. We discussed driving preferences and they quoted a tire within my budget - I chose to replace 2 tires. I left the shop delighted with the handling on my new tires, the professionalism, helpfulness, and courtesy. AND, they give a AAA discount!

It was great. They came and picked up and dropped off my car, so I didnt have to leave and there was no contact involved. I actually got my inspection done from them previously before getting other services which I really appreciated that they were willing to come and pick up for such a small service. Their willingness to pick up for the inspection allowed me to renew my car registration online on time.

I used Tech One for a pre-purchase inspection of a used PriusPros:-Professional. The employees were very respectful, they printed out their report for me and tried to explain everything, the facility was nice-Price seemed fair, $90 for a pre-purchase inspectionCons:-The technician mistakenly identified a problem with the lane departure alert safety feature. This caused me to waste a couple hours figuring out that nothing was actually wrong with the car-When I called back to follow up on what exactly the technician saw was wrong, part of the description was that the lane departure alert light on the dashboard turned yellow. According to the owners manual that light only indicates that the safety feature is enabled and it does not turn yellow like some other lights

These are the nicest people. My car is having intermittent issues and when it wouldnt act up after I dropped it off they didnt charge a dime.
