They do not use customer provided parts because it “takes away from the profitability of the owner” … unfortunately looking elsewhere. BIG let down.Was really hoping to rely on them due to location and transportation resources.

Why there is no option of zero star??I brought my car to check a starting issue. At the beginning, they told me that they checked battery, starter, engine, etc., and the starter and engine are good and the battery needs to be replaced. Considering that they would charge $50 for this examination, I decided to replace the battery there. They installed a new battery, but they still can not start the car. Then, they told me the starter is not good and needs to be replaced! What? ? How can I trust you that you really did examination on the car for $50?My AC was slow but after ~5min or so it can blow cold air. After they checked my AC, it can NOT blow any cold air anymore even after ~30min-1hour (it turned out there is only 10% Freon left after their check). They also said I need to replaced the compressor, etc, all that cost more than $1000. But after I checked my AC with an auto repair I trust, it turned out I only need to put new Freon. And now my AC is working GREAT.VERY disappointed with their service. I will NEVER go back and will NEVER recommend this place to anyone.

Heard about Southwest Automotive and brought my car there. Within the day they got me rolling again, having fixed the brakes for $110.These are the guys you want to be fixing your car.

Rick at Southwest really took care of our family. Our vehicle was in bad shape. He diagnosed the problem and ordered parts to figure out the problem. In the end the engine was shot. He only charged us labor and not the parts. Really a class act all the way.

BEWARE!!! LIED ABOUT PROBLEMS WITH MY TRUCK.I bought a coupon from Living Social that had several different free services on it that I could get done through Southwest Automotive Repair.I went in for an oil change and an A/C check, since it was blowing a bit weak. Both of these services were already paid for with my coupon. The mechanic told me I needed a new check valve in my trucks A/C and it was leaking antifreeze, an estimate he gave would be $300-$400.Im a college student and dont have that kind of money to spend, so I immediately went to two other mechanics to test the validity of what the mechanic at Southwest told me. BOTH told me there was absolutely nothing wrong with the check valve in my A/C, and one charged me $25 of labor to clean out the A/C debris that builds up over time. My A/C has worked like new for going on 9 months now.Dont trust these guys. They sell their coupons at a loss, and then instead of trying to form a loyal customer base by providing honest, good service, they try to make their money back by lying about nonexistent problems with your vehicle.

I bought a groupon to get oil changes from Southwest Automotive Repair and my first experience was great. I got there bright and early got my oil changed and was on my way! I went back my second and third time and once again got in an out and was on my way. The 4th time I came in I noticed a smell in my car and figured it was an air filter. When I got there they took a look and they didnt have my item in stock but they ordered it and I came back later that day they fix it in about 30 mins it was so fast. Its nice to go some where and get the job done and go on about your day. Great customer service.
