Very happy with the stellar service I received from the service advisor Crizelda. During my short wait time to be checked in for my oil change I noticed she greeted every customer with a smile and she acknowledged that she would be right with me. She had me checked in and kept me posted when my car was ready. She was also able to get my car checked out for last minute issue and was able to have it addressed immediately. She was very professional and friendly throughout the entire experience and sets the standard of how excellent customer service should always be. I will recommend her to anyone looking for above and beyond service.
Came in for Tire rotation only and that was it. Told me it was going to take 2 hoursmax. I get a call hour and a half later telling me they’re doing the oil change too and I never asked for it. Got there at 1:30pm left at 4:45Pm. Had to call my advisor to ask if my car was done because he never gave came to the waiting area…
To preface: this is my first poor review EVER on any business. My brother and I bought a car back in 2012 and I have used Kia of South Austin ever since. Initially, it was great (thanks to a guy that worked there- Jim Rainey). My brother and I advertised Kia to our friends and family because we thought so highly of it. However, after Jim switched jobs, Kia seemed to go downhill pretty fast from there so my brother switched to a different dealership shortly after when that happened. During the switch, we transitioned the car to me as the sole owner of the Kia about 5 years ago.So, 5 years have passed, and Ive updated their office upon EVERY SINGLE visit that my brother no longer owns the vehicle and I would like to have my information as the contact for all things Kia. But, because the car was initially purchased under my brothers name by the dealership in 2012, he has always been the one they contact for everything (even though I own the car now). My brother has called on multiple occasions as well to have his contact information removed from their lists completely and has provided them with my information stating that he doesnt want the miscellaneous messages to go to him- especially when hes at work. However, TO THIS DAY, I get ZERO correspondence from Kia and everything continues to get messaged to him. This might not sound like that big of a deal but there have been instances when I waited 3 hours in a waiting room after my car was already finished because they texted my brother (who had his phone off at work) and they didnt think to let me know even AFTER I specifically told them my contact information upon arrival and NOT to use my brothers on file and that I would be waiting in the waiting room. Its quite pathetic customer service. Now, the tipping point came last Friday when my annual car inspection was due. The guy told me my fluids were bone dry and that engine damage is likely to happen if these arent replaced. Heres the kicker... I took my car to Kia of South Austin the week prior for a dying battery and a maintenance inspection and they forgot to do the actual maintenance inspection. I was baffled and when I got to Kia, they apologized and realized they forgot to perform the inspection. They offered to perform a complimentary inspection and that the wait time would only be 20 minutes if I was willing to stay.I should have known better since no visit in the past 5 years has taken less than 2 hours. Anyways, I left 2 hours later super late for work and with only a replaced cabin air filter (which I did NOT request yet still ended up paying for so that I could finally get to work). But, when I got in my car, there were stains throughout the interior (as there usual is after they perform interior work). But, I decided to take photos this time since I was getting a bit annoyed with their lack of professionalism (see below for photos). The stains are still there 7 days later. The only stains I was able to get off were the ones on the driver side door handle and blinker light handle but for some reason, I couldnt get the steering wheel grease off (see day 7 photo). As frustrated as I was, I was still willing to return so they could replace my car fluids for $800 (including tax) the following week when I could take a half-day off work to visit. Before getting into my car to leave, I updated them again with my contact info to call me to schedule Monday which the lady wrote down on a napkin and said she would update their system with my information. Monday rolls around and my brother receives the call- not me.I should have followed my brother 5 years ago switching dealerships but felt an obligation to stay given the once great service Jim Rainey provided.Kia of South Austin is nowhere near the caliber it once was and I would strong recommend against starting business with them until they can improve their business practices.
A regular oil change turned into a full care package. Usually, I wouldnt be as ecstatic, but MyKia is running beautifully, and with nearly 100,000 miles, it was for the best. Thank you for the recommendation, Advisor Crizelda 😁
Anytime we call to get an update on our car (one we only had 2 weeks before it had issues) there is a MINIMUM wait of 30 minutes just to get someone to pick up the phone. Every. Single. Time. The slow response and overall lack of organization is unacceptable. I’m not one to normally write negative reviews but management needs to hire more quality help. The overall process of getting our car fixed has also been a nightmare taking over 3 months to fix. Really unacceptable.
I went on a Friday to get an oil change and get a rattling noise checked out. I was told that my car would be mine the following Monday. It is now Saturday and I still haven’t heard from the service department about my car. I have made several calls trying to find out the status on my vehicle every day since the estimated Monday. Showed up to the shop yesterday (friday) trying to find out when my car was going to be ready to go, and was told the car had not even been checked out by a tech nor had the oil change been performed. The advisor guarantee me that my car was now being checked out by the foreman and I was going to receive it the following day. Not only did I not get a call the following day, but I had to call several times again to find out that the oil change had been performed but the diagnosis on my car hasn’t so I still don’t know when my car would be returned back to me. Horrible costumer service. They just keep you in the dark and lie to you.Updated:After finally receiving my car ( more than a week after it was promised ) they have the audacity to just claim that the tech didn’t hear a noise and just send me on my marry way. I then after asked for them to tell me what could possibly be wrong and show them videos of my car making the nasty noise. The head of service told me that they would contact some other department and send them the videos that I showed them but that never happened! The guy just went back to his office and didn’t even get any of my information.
We highly recommend Salvador as a Service Center Advisor! His exceptional customer service and responsiveness is what has makes working with this particular Service Center so great!
I bought my Kia here in 2013.I have it serviced here, and plan to drive this car until it rusts out on me. I trust the service advisors, like Oscar, to help me maintain my Very Important Mode of Transportation without leaving me penniless.
Had service done to my Kia no problems getting it ready for the summer time
After waiting 20 minutes for assistance, Very disappointing, since I had 3 lights to be on in my vehicle the last 2 days, concerning 😟brakes and tires. I was offered a $150 diagnostic cheek with an appointment🤷🏽♀️. I was told they were not taking walk-ins right now. When seeing staff on smoke breaks and some just walking around. Maybe its time to find a shop that will service my vehicle.
Great service and overall experience. Collin really went above and beyond to make sure I was really satisfied and happy with service. I’d recommend this business to friends and family in the future.
They stink. Kept my car a week. Couldnt provide a rental. Absolutely screwed us.
Was not satisfie at all. Made an appointment to change my oil. They told m e I had to wait 2 hours. What was the use making an appointment.
I came in to just look at a vehicle and learn more about it and my sales person Collin was such a nice and professional young man . He answered my questions and when I am ready to buy my car I will certainly be asking for him .
Not customer friendly as far as the service department. Unprofessional and rude
Every time I come to get even basic service on my car, it’s a minimum 2 hour wait. Today I showed up for my 1pm appt for an oil change and state inspection. I was told it would be about 1.5 hours so I decided to wait. At 2 hours I called the service department for an update. I was put on hold for several minutes and then was told an advisor would be calling me back. At 2.5 hours I had not received a call, so I walked over to service and asked for an update. I was told the technician was almost done and just needed to finish the inspection so it would be another 15-20 minutes.3 hours I’ve sat here waiting on an oil change and state inspection. This should have taken 45 minutes to an hour AT MOST. I guess my car was just sitting for 2 hours even though I made an appt.
Always great service.
Got there twice for service. They reported a wrong mileage to carfax, and even after trying to contact them to fix it, they dont even reply. Very bad.
Always nice
Friendly service staff. Was a 10-day wait after I dropped off the car before they were able to eventually investigate an A/C problem. Well whats the point of an appointment then? Apparently things are backed up all over the Austin area for kia AC repairs. Also these guys use a call center that claims they will call you back but its a pretty low chance like 25% from my experience. Three stars because they fixed the problem eventually and the staff was all very friendly and understanding.
100% recommendable
