Brought my car and paid diagnostics for two problems. They only addressed one. So I call several times to see why. Always put on hold so I hang up. I have a full time job and tracking them down is not one. Finally today I get a hold of someone. Asking why is wasn’t addressed and if I would have to pay again if I brought it back. The guy begins to argue with me, then hangs up the phone in my face. I paid 200$ for a diagnostic you didn’t complete and instead of making it right you tell me “ I don’t what to tell you”, .. it is SO DISRESPECTFUL to hang up on someone not to mention a paying customer for a service YOU DID NOT DO..

The alternator on my car gave out one night and I found myself stranded off a small road on the side of a freeway. My insurance company towed me to this repair shop late at night and I was so glad that they offered a work order form and box to drop off my keys so I wouldnt have to come by first thing in the morning to authorize work to start.I received a call later in the morning and they concurred with what I thought was the problem and asked if they should also replace several belts while they had the alternator out. I agreed.I couldnt get back in time for closing, so they let me pay via phone. I picked up my keys from a combination box outside. This was such a convenience with my busy work schedule.I thought their repair price was very fair. The person I spoke with was very professional, and I had the feeling the entire time that I am dealing with an honest and ethical repair shop. I highly recommend them to anyone.

Ive had very positive experiences at Automotive Services of Austin. Im an amateur / hobby car mechanic, and I frequent the shop to ask diagnostic advice and for help with testing parts. Angel is very professional, knowledgable and helpful. When I encounter a problem thats too big to fix on my own, I take my car to this shop. They replaced my clutch for me quickly, without hassle, and at a fair price. And if I need an extra bolt, theyve got me covered.

Was told the minor maintenance would take two hours, then it would be done by the next morning, then I called twice without an answer. Finally had to come in for it to be finished. I don’t mind it took long, I just mind I wasn’t told.

From the initial phone call to the paying of my bill, everyone involved with the services I received was courteous, informative, friendly, and knowledgeable. It was one of THE best experiences I have ever had with engine repair. Honestly, I was very anxious as it was a transmission issue. So, of couse, I was afraid of what the cost was going to be. They were honest, and gave me choices!!! They also answered any questions I had ~ the knowledgeable part. I highly recommend this place!!!

🚨Do NOT take your car to Automotive Services of Austin if you like your belongings.🚨I had my vehicle taken here to get a diagnostic check on May 7th for a scheduled appointment with all my equipment installed as seen in the post (which I terribly regret).During the duration of time this mechanic shop had my vehicle it took them 2 weeks just to diagnose that my vehicle needed a New alternator. But during those weeks I called every other day for a status update on my vehicle and their favorite saying was “we’ll have someone call you back” which NEVER happened until me and my cousin finally went up there In person to see what was going on! It was then that we finally seen the vehicle on the bay.When we get the call that my vehicle was ready; I noticed that two of my headrest screens were missing from the front seat.My cousin went back in the shop with me to express to the shop owners sister “Ernie” what was missing.The shop owners brother “Angel” finally then stepped in and explained that they’re was nothing they could do and it was my fault because the doors didn’t lock when 1. Isn’t this a mechanic shop and they should know how to manually lock doors? and 2. Informed me that it wasn’t a good idea to leave my stuff in there like that and lastly I ensured that all the doors were locked before leaving with my cousins that day! (Which they were with with me to also witness the doors locking)So I said I would file a police report for stolen property and Angel said that it was the best thing to do and could look on the cameras.Well after filing a report with APD, the shop owner now stated to the detectives that “they don’t have cameras”Im sure because they’re covering it up with someone that works there or someone they know!Just be cautious when you leave your vehicles at these kind of shops!!

I visited this place today after remembering the great work that was done replacing a rear bearing on my 2008 Toyota Camry a few years ago. They were still just as professional and honest as they were back then today when discussing my current vehicles issue.Angel was very transparent and gave me some great information without charge. Thats pretty hard to find these days. If I do decide to get it checked out, I will plan to get it done with them because I know they will be thorough.

This is a place we will always use. My brother was in town for the weekend and left leaving his truck because it wouldnt start. Call Automotive Services of Austin the truck was picked up and repaired. Truck made its way home before Thanksgiving. Happy customer...

ASA were super friendly. I got my fuel pump replaced here and they told me all the costs up front. They told me about the diagnostic cost, the cost of labor, and the cost of parts. I also have a small oil leak and they were honest and up front about the cost of fixing that vs the age of my vehicle. I will go here again in the future.

You never called me to tell anything bout using that money to go towards repairs. Yes i did take my truck and leave because you said it s was brakes. Again it was not my brakes. I was reaped off, he over charged me and the receptionist shredded my proof of payment without my consent because he charged me higher than we agreed initially. am not certified generally with this services.

Brought a car for a quick check and confirmed multiple times that they will just do a quick look and they assured me there will be no cost.Came back in 30 minutes and they held my car hostage until I paid $125. Claiming they ran diagnostic (that I never asked them to, and they never confirmed with me).I was definitely robbed.

I told the mechanic that the problem was cv axle. He called me and told me that it was my brakes. Never looked at vehicle to diagnose the problem, he guessed. So I told him not to do it. I picked up my vehicle and took the tire off and could clearly see that it was not my brakes. What was wrong with my vehicle was wheel bearing assembly. I paid this $122.00 for nothing. I feel cheated and taken advantage of. I wonder how many other people they have done this too. I wish I could get my money back.

I had a great experience working with Automative Services of Austin. We originally dropped our Acadia off at the dealership and they gave us an outrageous price to fix the air conditioning and they didn’t give us an estimated date of completion.Automotive Services of Austin were not only a better price but they got it done within a few days. We will be coming back here for future repairs.

My car has been serviced by Automotive Services of Austin for at least 8 years and I have never had to return my car for the same problem. Everyone is so friendly and professional. They give excellent service. I want to give a great shout out to The owner, Mr Angel and his mother (secretary)😊They are such good people!

In town for a visit and had to have my FIATs fuel tank replaced. I needed quick turn around and they delivered within 2 days. Excellent service!

I needed some standard maintenance done on my car (spark plugs replaced, coolant flush, brake flush) so I called 3 shops to get quotes. ASA was the lowest at $135. The guy on the phone read back to me each service I requested and detailed what they would do and that the entire price for all 3 services was $135 including parts and labor. The 2nd lowest quote I received was $275 and that quote specified the use of premium spark plugs. Because the plug cost $25 each at AutoZone I assumed that this explained the price difference. When I dropped the car off later that day I specified that I wanted the manufacturer recommended plugs. When I picked the car up the following day I was given a bill for $448.38. At first I assumed they just totally ripped me off on the price of the plugs and, while this was true (they charged $40 for the part, not including labor of course, vs $25 at AutoZone) even if you only add up the labor charges those total over $200. I explained this to the guy at the desk when I balked at the bill and he just kept saying the spark plugs were expensive. I mean yes, they are, the 4 I bought would cost $100 at AutoZone or $160 from ASA, how does that explain why the bill is $310 more than I was quoted? I will not return here.

I have been a long standing customer of ASA. They are always prompt, reasonably priced and reliable. No dealership repair/maintenance prices for me! Great job ASA, I will continue to be a loyal customer!

Love this place! Very convenient from where I work, quick and great prices! They also have a tow company which is very convenient when you brake down. Very helpful with financing.Before I bought my Cadillac I had a mustang which I would take no where else. From an oil change to damages done from a minor collision they have always taken great care of my cars. I also had to get repairs done on my 2014 ATS which Angel helped me navigate my warranty and insurance. One day I happened to be in the area of Covert Cadillac and thought Id just stop in and get an oil change, WORSE THING EVER. An oil change took 1 45 mins.. I also had my toddler with me. Never again. NOW I routinely get my oil change from ASA and the turn around time is very quick with the same product quality as Covert.

Angel Mora and crew were great! I brought my car in on a Thursday afternoon. Angel found the problem before they closed and they worked on getting all of the needed parts all day Friday and had the car repaired by Saturday!

Angel was super nice and helpful. I had one day left before a big move across country, and after calling several shops, this was the only place that had time to give me an oil change and look into a problem with the brakes. I got it all done before noon, and he gave me a discount. I made it to DC without any car trouble! I dont usually write reviews, but this shop saved my butt!

Very pleased with the quality of service provided and the level of professionalism. I was fortunate enough to have both front brakes and a rotor replaced at the best price. Angel was so nice and even helped me with financing !

My car broke down literally right across the street at the Taco Bell so I called and asked if they had a tow truck. They came and got me, and when we got to the shop the tow truck driver walked us into the office and went behind the counter and started joking and playing with the person behind the counter. Its like the tow truck driver worked there. My alternator had gone out. When I got my bill it was $750 which from all of my other quotes seemed expensive. They charged me $85 to pull me across the street. Then when I got in my car the next day I noticed that the visor above my driver window that keeps rain from coming on was broken. Upon further investigation I noticed that pieces of it were all over the floorboard of my car. When I called to tell the manager he insisted that it wasnt them and that he knows for a fact that they didnt do it. I told him that didnt make sense when my car was only opened by them and that had to be how it was on my floorboard. After I told him that he said he doesnt know who wanders around the parking lot while they arent there and that if an after market piece of plastic gets broken then its not their fault he kept saying well what do you want ME to do about it?!? All and all if I had the chance to go back to the day I got towed I would definitely choose a different shop!

After going to another mechanic after the fact I was told that the work (Labour included) should have cost no more than $400.I gave the company the benefit of the doubt but after this, now several red flags, I wont be returning. Plus its clear the moderator is not actually reading this responses.

Convenient location with experienced mechanics. They also have a tow service, which is helpful if your stuck on the road.

Incomplete work caused more issues, but willing to honor their warranty. My car overheated and blew the radiator. I asked them to replace the radiator and stop it from overheating. They did replace the radiator, and said they replaced the thermostat, but it definitely doesnt look touched. They also didnt test drive it when they were finished, so it overheated again the next day, causing a coolant leak. They would do nothing as far as the leak, but were willing to re-do the work they said they did, free of charge. I dont think these guys are dishonest, but I dont think theyre thorough either.

Ive been a client at Automotive services of Austin for 3 years. And for all the many issues ive had to deal with. Their service if anything is consistent courteous and knowledgable and what i find most alluring, PRICE conscious. Me and my wallet appreciate that. The management at the front has gone through a few changes. ( Different personalities). But what i find most important is the same auto technician. Has been working on my multitude of thousand dollar gas saver cars. With all success and i couldnt be more happier. From my beatup 91 f250 to my current 2007 Sebring. I cant find a better service in Austin. Thank You.
