The most solid and honest mechanics Ive ever worked with.
My first experience with HCEURO was excellent. Personal, professional, timely and reasonably priced BMW brake fluid service. Thanks to Justin for prompt communication and coordination of my drop-off / pick-up and service!
Their service was the highest Ive ever experienced. Very friendly and professional and very open to discuss options and my concerns/ideas.When they had the opportunity to diagnose and perform an expensive repair, they found a BMW service bulletin with a factory warranty extension where I could have the repair done by BMW at no cost and advised me to take that route. Most ethical treatment from a car service shop Ive ever received. We will definitely be repeat customers!!!So happy to have people like this in business near us.
Really great experience dealing with Hill Country European especially during this crazy COVID time. They are all set up for easy drop off, payment and pick up and they even wiped down the inside of the car for added safety. Im happy to have found a new professional shop for servicing my BMW.
I found this garage due to great Google ratings and yes, they are worth 5 stars. Team is very communicative, easy to schedule, very quick on diagnostics, transparent about pricing and fast. They had my rough running 330 out of the shop on the same day and it runs great now. If you’re out here in Hill Country and have a euro model, give these guys a shot at working on it, you won’t be disappointed.
Been going to these guys for years now and they are always very nice and do amazing work. They make you feel like family and have the equipment and experience to do better repairs than the dealer. Always impressed!
Service was quick and convenient. Contactless drop-off and pick-up due to covid was super easy.
The nicest guys. We have had two of our cars serviced here. They are professional, efficient, communicate clearly on the process, cost and timeframe. I had to get plates put on and an oil change done prior to traveling out of state to see my mom who has terminal cancer. They were able to fit me in last minute. They are the best!
Brent and Rafa are the best Ive ever worked with. They are probably the most honest and ethical mechanics you can find and I recommend anyone who has a German vehicle takes it to them for any repairs or upkeep they need.
We were so impressed the first time we walked in! The staff is so professional and friendly. One aspect we appreciated the most is that they do not rush you through anything. They take the time to explain everything in detail. We had no problem scheduling an appointment that would be convenient for us and the turn around time was excellent. Highly recommend taking your European car to them.
Who likes taking their car to the mechanic? Well, these guys make it so it doesnt hurt so bad! They communicate with you every step of the way. They are flexible, honest and get things done! Highly recommend taking your vehicle to them!
Unfortunately, at least for the average person, this business only accepts repairs jobs from high net worth individuals. It was obvious when they explained they had a 3-4 week wait just to evaluate the car then quickly added that they only take 2005 and newer models. Guess I caught them by surprise when I said I wasnt in a rush and the car was a 2005. He immediately tried to explain and back out of it with references if close by shops etc..... Only 100k and over cars were worked on in service bays
First shop Ive ever taken my Audi A6 to where I dont immediately have to return because the tires are underinflated and the service indicator hasnt been reset...and that includes the Audi dealer! I havent had any major issues with the car yet, but these guys inspire confidence. I expect a long and happy partnership.
These guys are so awesome. The service was spectacular and they went above and beyond to fix my old Audi car. They fixed a lot of minor things for my car without charging me for a lot of those things. They are making an effort to answer and follow up with prospects, so if you’re not an existing client, you may have to wait a bit. However, their service is totally worth it.
Wow! I wish I had known about this place a few years ago! Finally great, quality, local, friendly service in a convenient and beautiful location. Rafa was beyond friendly and courteous with me as I used them for the first time. He was very thorough in his explanation of all work done, and he wasnt in a rush to kick me out the door. These guys are the real deal. The turn around was much faster than the dealership and more affordable. They are Bosch certified as well. I was impressed earlier today when I received an email about their limited hours over the next few days due to advanced training and certification that they are receiving. Continuing education is huge in all fields, and Im impressed at their willingness to sacrifice income to continue their education to improve their service provided. Do not hesitate to service your vehicle at HCEA.
Needed an urgent service on my Jetta on short notice and found this place online. They had a ton of really positive reviews so I decided to give them a shot and they did not disappoint. Rafa was kind, genuine, and instantly made me feel like I made the right decision bringing my car to his shop. The service was performed quickly, priced fairly, and they kept me updated along the way. Do yourself a favor and bring your European vehicle here for any service you need, youll be happy you did.
I have a 2001 BMW X5. We bought it new. It currently has 265,000 miles on it. The guys at HCEA have this little warrior on the road for the past 30,000 or so. An amazing vehicle, but its not without issues. Each time I need it repaired and/or diagnosed I take it to one place. Hill Country European Autoworks. Brent and Rapha are gentle geniuses. I have a Porsche which also gets babied at their shop.
If you are like me, you are terrified looking for a good shop to work on your European car. Most shops in general are good and honest, but there ARE some bad ones out there that make many of us distrustful when it comes to working with car repairs. I am happy to say that Hill Country European Autoworks is hands down the most honest, reasonable shop I have ever worked with over the years. These two guys are so easy to work with. Things are explained in easy terms but you are not treated like a child. If something is important they explain why. If it is something that can wait, they let you know and why. They are not about getting all your dollars today. They really seem to be about building a trusting relationship that will be fair to you, good for your car, and good for them in the long run. So give them a try and see how good it can be to work with a smaller, independent shop run by two honest men with serious expertise working on our highly engineered automobiles. (Highly engineered=expect to have to maintain this car properly !)
If repairing your car could be a pleasant experience, this is it.Straight shooters in the car repair business are few and far between, but this place is exactly that. No bravo sierra, no mystery fixes, and as nice as guys as youll find anywhere.I took my mini cooper to another local European specialty shop and felt like I was being lied to and patronized by the owner. After getting an outrageous quote from this other mechanic, I declined and took it to HCEA, and found that in fact I was being lied to at the other mobster mechanic.Take your vehicle here, if you want no BS and great service.
The fact that this is the first review Ive ever taken the time to write is a testament to how great this shop is. Rafa and Brent are the only folks Ill take my Mini Cooper to now. They really know their craft and are quick, precise, and honest. Charged 2/3 of what another BMW/Mini shop charged the first time this repair was needed, and got it done in 1/3 of the time. I do a lot of my own repairs, and have come across my fair share of shady mechanic practices when I dont, but these guys are the real deal. Ill gladly give Rafa and Brent my business again!
5 Stars to Hill Country European Autoworks! I had been taking my German car to a specialist down town for several years but ever since giving these guys a try I have stuck with them for both routine maintenance and bigger repairs. In all cases they have come through with quality work, professionalism and great customer service. I recommend them to all German car owners with no reservations.
In addition to having a primo set of beards, the crew at European Autoworks are knowledgeable, empathetic, customer-focused and highly skilled. I dropped in unannounced with my daughters BMW as we were preparing to take her back to school. They helped diagnose and fix a problem on the spot. I could not be more grateful. Theres not enough people like this in the world anymore. Highly recommended!
I have a 98 ML320 with 205k miles and climbing thanks to HCE. Rafa and Brent are professionals: friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. I feel like theyre as invested in keeping her running to 500k as I am. You wont be disappointed in the quality of the work they do or in the explanation of whats needed and why.
I started using Hill Country European Autoworks for all oil changes and other maintenance right after they opened for business. None of my vehicles are European, but both Brent and Rafa have provided excellent service whenever required.Their service is always prompt, friendly and more reasonable than the dealerships where the cars were purchased. Each time I visit with other customers while waiting for work to be finished, they are completely satisfied and have become regulars.I would highly recommend Hill Country for anyone.
Knowledgeable, great work, fair price – I’ll be back
Ive taken my vehicle here a few times now, and have received nothing short of stellar service. These guys are knowledgeable and experienced, and they offer great services at fair prices. And you cant beat their customer service! Ive recommended many people to this shop, and will continue to do so.
Just bought my first BMW and took it to Rafa and Brent for some fluid changes and a good looking over. They are awesome guys. Service was first class. Theyll be in charge of keeping my new baby running in top condition for years to come. Cant say enough good things. Thank you, Hill Country European Autoworks!
These guys are honest very friendly and really know their stuff when it comes to German cars. I never take my BMW anyplace else. Highly recommended!
I just took my car in for the first time. I had my transmission fixed and had quite a few misc.maintenance items taken care of. My car has over 130K miles and it is now shifting smoother and running better than it has in years. These guys are honest and provide excellent work at a very reasonable price. It was obvious to me both Brent and Rafa take great pride in their work and in delivering the most positive customer experience. I will be going back to them in the future for sure. Also, they have the cleanest and most organized garage I have ever seen!!
I recently purchased and older BMW and was looking for a good place to take it to for maintenance. A friend of mine referred me to Hill Country European Autoworks, so I gave them a try. My first impression was the cleanliness of the shop, very immaculate. Both Rafa and Brent were very professional and did an excellent job. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
These guys know their stuff, help with practical decisions, and you can tell they love cars. The shop is clean, organized, and you may even find an interesting rare vehicle or two. They have been accurate with estimates and back up their work.
As always, the folks at Hill Country European Autoworks went out of their way to help us with a recent repair to our BMW. Their service, professionalism, and value are top-notch. I would recommend them to anyone needing help with auto repair and maintenance.
These guys are great! They look after you as a Customer with the same passion they clearly have for European cars. Great communication, open and honest. I would happily recommend them to anyone and will continue to rely on them for my needs.
First timer. Couldnt have gone more smoothly. 100% no contact but still great communication and work was completed same day. Not having to drive in to Austin is the best part.
Brent and Rafa do excellent work. I have taken my Volkswagens there for repairs and oil changes, and they are always friendly and they always thoroughly explain what they plan to do... and what theyve done after they do it.I almost dont want to write this review. Im torn between wanting to keep the knowledge of this awesome shop to myself, and letting everyone know about it to make sure this shop is successful.
Wanted some transmission work done and they said the did not have the computer to do it. Assured them it was not need but they turned me away. Did it in the floor in my garage no computer needed. Wouldn5be a big deal but they are supposed to be mercedes specialist.
The bearded wonders did a top notch job curing my 525i of an overheating problem. They are very professional, capable and bill fairly. They also have a passion for their work. The wifes Benz will be serviced here once out of warranty.
This was our second time here and Rafa has provided consistent and excellent service, both to the vehicle and the customer. We have found our dedicated garage for our Touareg!
Weve taken our 2001 BMW X5 to Hill Country Euopean Autoworks at least three times. It is running like a dream and we are grateful to not have to pay dealer service prices or drive all the way up north to have it serviced. The guys do great work and they are honest and customer service oriented.
I have TOO many cars by choice. Its a problem of my own doing. I have taken virtually all of them to HCE Autoworks over the last few years. These guys do an amazing job and explain exactly whats going on with my car. They also let me know what I might need to beware of in the future. I embarrassed it took me this long to give them a great review. They certainly earned it.
I have probably written 2 reviews total in my life but had to write one about Hill Country European Autoworks. In a world where many car places take advantage of people like me that do not know much about cars, Rafael and Brent are a breath of fresh air. We have a diesel Mercedes SUV and have taken it to them for four different issues. Each time Rafael and Brent have been knowledgeable, patient, fair and accommodating. They take the time to explain everything to us and what our choices are. They work with our auto warranty company and have spent more than a few hours on the phone on our behalf. Rafael and Brent go above and beyond. We will not take our vehicles anywhere else.
Fixed what two Audi delearships could not. Highly recommend them.
I use Brent and Rafa for my Audi service and for some performance stuff for a few track cars I have. The work they have done has been great. They definitely take extra care and its very easy to get an appointment there. NONE of that auto repair shop funny business...
Great bunch of guys, great service at a good price. Much easier to get in for service than the Audi dealer. Ill keep coming back to keep my baby running. )
I received quick and great service and was so impressed by their kindness and professionalism. Looking forward to using them in the future. Thank you Rafa!
Brent and Rafa are a class act. We educated, detailed and honest. You know you love your mechanic when you shop new cars based on the brands they service.
These guys do great honest work. I highly recommend their service. I will definitely use them again in the future.
Very honest people and great service, they dont just trying to charge you for stuff that you dont need to change, Rafa is a great guy, before I went ther I was surprised by the reviews, but now I fully understand why those reviews were so good, because honesty and kindness gets you far, I definitely recommend this place, stop by before you will go to dealership and you will see why I gave this place 5 Stars!!!
Personal attention was amazing! My first call to them and I was received first thing the following morning. And this was when the partner was on vacation! I drove away a very happy returning customer!
We came to Hill Country European Autoworks after having multiple issues with the service at the different VW dealerships in town. The guys at Hill Country were extremely thorough in diagnosing the actual problem. They explain everything that they have found, what they recommend and why they are recommending it. Their pricing is fair and reasonable. We will be going to Hill Country European Autoworks for all of of VW needs.
The guys at Hill Country European are awesome. They are the only one I trust for my German sports car. Service is quick and they treat my car like Royalty.
I enjoy everything about European. They are both very honest and have the integrity to tell me that something doesnt need to be replaced or seviced when i thought it did. I like how they track the history of my car and all of the sevices that they do. Youre always greeted with a smile and made to feel right at home.Quite frankly I wont take my car anywhere else!
Very pleased with 40K service visit. Prompt, courteous and accommodating.
The only place we take our Audis for service. They are great, reasonably priced and knowledgeable.
Great Experience and very friendly. My Passat is running great now.
Brent and Rafael took top notch care of my car and me as a customer!Even though theyre currently alternating vacations, cuz its summer, and even though theyre rightfully busy, they got my car in ahead of time, and fixed it ahead of time, too.Brent showed me exactly where the problem was, explained all the things that had to be removed to fix it, made sure the problem was really solved afterwards, and spent some time talking to me about other fault codes the car had thrown. The shop is only a few years old, but the owners were both long time mechanics at another well known BMW shops. They definitely know their stuff! If youre looking for a shop to trust that works on European Autos, these are the guys!
Both Rafa and Brent really know their European cars (and by the two BMW 2002s they have you can tell they love them too). Very responsive and great customer service. I live in Houston, but will time some of my services for when I visit Austin because I trust HCE more than the guys in Houston. They are honest and their prices are good as well. I have had dealers and other independent mechanics quote me parts with a 50% mark up (make sure to always do your research on parts costs), not at HCE.
When we needed to purchase a 2nd car for us and 2 cars for our kids, we chose European cars mainly where we could take them to HCEA. Their level of service, attention to detail, honesty and quality of work is unbeatable.
Haven’t taken my car in for work, but I can tell they’re great folks. There’s a reason why everyone in the reviews speaks highly of them.I wanted to get a PPI on a used VW Golf GTI I plan on getting, and although they couldn’t get me scheduled in for a couple weeks, Rafa really helped me out a lot referring me to another reputable German car specialist and even discussed with me things to look out for on the GTI.Much appreciated Rafa! If I’m ever in Austin and need work done, I’ll definitely be going to these guys before anywhere else!
Friendly customer service and great attention to detail. Thanks, Rafa!
Good work, good communication, Great experience.Rafa and Brent will take great care of your German vehicle.
They are great guys! Very nice and friendly. Changed my reverse light bulb for free.
Always do right by me..take care of car like it is their own.
Two groups work on my BMW, HC Euro-Auto and my Son and I. No reason to go anywhere else. Was there when they opened and well bury the 530i behind the shop when its her time.
By far the best communication, skill and pricing Ive ever experienced at a shop.
These guys are great! They are reasonably priced, and do great work.
I called for a pre-purchase check up for my Mercedes-Benz E350 by these folks before I was committed to the sale. They were ready for me when I arrived and went right to work. Their inspection was very thorough and it was clear that they knew their European cars. I learned by talking to them that the two owners and operators (Rafael and Brent) are well versed in repair and maintenance of those cars, especially BMW and Mercedes. Some weeks after they had completed their inspection, I had an issue with the car that stumped me so I called them and they were willing to devote their time to explain that it was very likely a problem with the battery and suggested a speedy solution. This event is indicative of their customer-orientation policy and their willingness to help. This shop is conveniently located at the junction of Circle Drive and US 290. If you are coming from town (Austin), it is the 2nd junction of Circle Drive and 290. Even though I live 50-miles away, this is my Go-To shop.If you are looking for a shop that will treat you right, this is the one and, FWIW, in spite of their immersion on European motorcars, their first language is English.I definitely recommend the Hill Country European Autoworks.
Great location and 2 of the smartest euro gurus in the area.
Honest. Fair. Hirsute. What else do you need in a mechanic?
Top notch service! This is the only place in Austin that I would trust with my car.
Best shop in town!
Always Honest and fair!
They are great
