I recently bought my 2015 BmW 320i last year. Now we are in covid season and my work Has slowed down. They came out same day to look at my car. Office staff was friendly and the technician who came out to help me was awesome. Diagnosed the problem in just a few minutes and the car was running after I did the repair. They are awesome. Highly recommend!

Went in for the first time with car #1 which had several issues. They fixed the most important issues and didnt try to up sale. Julian kept me informed as they worked through the issues and was always friendly and courteous. The pricing seems fair. As my bad luck would have it, car #2 began to have issues while car #1 was being repaired. I had no qualms about leaving car #2 (my favorite, but dont tell car #1) with AMM to work their magic. Im happy I gave them a try!

My brother used this place for repairs on his car. After driving off after the repair, 30 seconds later, his car broke down again. After numerous left voicemails, we haven’t received a response. This isn’t very professional and i would expect something a little more professional from an almost 5 star company. I’m very sad that they would take advantage of my brother. To top it off they did it to him on Veterans Day, and my brother is veteran.

I have a stage 2 Subaru STi 04. I brought my car here because I was having a problem with a recent install I did myself. Despite wanting to fix it myself I didn’t have the time and I needed some help. The receptionist was honest and very nice. They allowed me to keep my car there while I was on vacation since they hadn’t fixed the issue yet. The car is running great so far and I’m very pleased. I could not be happier with the service at Austin Mobile Mechanic! I’ve been in Austin for about 7 years now and have been going to all the regular spots: Firestone, Pep Boys, and the like. My car started acting funny and I was afraid to keep driving so I left my car stranded overnight. After realizing I did not have roadside service with my insurance I immediately searched for an auto repair shop near me. I happened upon these guys and called first thing in the morning. Steve answered all of my questions kindly and did not act annoyed like most repair shops. That afternoon they went and towed my car and then called me first thing in the morning with a more than reasonable quote. Steve kept in contact to let me know what was going on and what we needed to do. Due to my work schedule I could not pick my car up until the next day. Some shops require you to pay to leave the car overnight but not here! I went to grab my car and was happy to finally meet the infamous Steve. Everything about this experience over-exceeded my expectations. I am happy to have found an auto shop I can trust!

These guys were awesome.I had an electrical ground wire issue on my truck and they found the issue quickly, fixed it and didnt charge a crazy amount which a lot of mechanics have a tendency to do!! Looks like I found my new mechanic for any future issues that may arise. Definitely recommend these guys if you need work done to your vehicles

This place is just full on scam two guys came out and both of them didn’t fix anything after 3 hours of work. First guy came out and kept lying and passing time after an hour leaving him with the car in my garage he decided to leave with the car undone. Second guy came also same thing stayed with the car for an hour then left. Took the car somewhere 30 min job was done.Extremely bad experience STAY AWAY.

Katelyn and Scott were fantastic .....the estimate from the dealership was outrageous and I needed to get it fixed fast so I could leave town for a business event. The price was right and they got it done in record time. I could not ask for better customer service.

I was certain that i needed a new compressor as my AC went out, it ended up being a valve that was replaced in a matter of minutes & they recharged my AC system, all at a fair price.! I have to say that it is hard to find an honest mechanic, especially being female. I used the mobile service cause my car wouldnt start. Tommy (the mobile mechanic) came out and said it was my starter. He was upfront about not being able to repair it in the field. Said it would require a lift. He got it started for me and had me follow him to avoid having it towed. He even gave me a credit that went towards the repair. Im so grateful for the honesty and making sure my car made it to their shop location to get repaired. I will be coming back if my car needs anything else. They are honest and really nice. This place should actually be called Austins Dream Team Mobile Mechanic. So I am a small 22 year old. I have very little life experience when it comes to vehicles and repairs. When my alternator went out and my battery died while I was driving it, I called Steven and he helped me get my car to a safe place and he also knew exactly qhatwas happening with my car when I told him over the phone. He gave me a real quote and stuck with it the whole time. I had to work at 2:30 and he went to the shop early just for me so that he could get me out and on the road as early as possible. Scott and Brock worked on my car immediately when they arrived. They explained things well to me and Steven communicated the time crunch that I was under to the Scott and Brock so they were aware. Also, the owner is the old lead guitarist of Blue October. So I got to see him while I was there which was a plus. They got me in and out very efficiently and very quickly and helped guide me on what to do in the meantime to get my car to the shop.I really valued this particular shop because they actually care about the service that they give and there is a one year, 12,000 mile warranty, so if the thing messes up, you can bring it back.This mechanic is amazing.

Ive used google reviews for the last 5 years...super helpful. But Ive never felt the need to added one myself. The only reason Im doing so now, is because of the excellent work & customer service I get from Steve and the guys at AMM. These guys are honest & fair, they explain everything straight up with a reason why. Couldnt ask for more.Ive never used the mobile aspect of the service only in shop.I work in the service world and many people dont take pride in their work. These guys car about workmanship.

AMM worked really hard to save me money. The part from the dealer was $1k and they helped me find one used online for less than $200 and then installed it for me.My car was stuck in park and difficult to o get to to tow, and their tow company came out twice to make sure the guy who got it knew how to shift it out of park at the transmission under the hood so it could be loaded on a flat bed.It had to go to their shop because it required removing exhaust.

Being a woman its hard when our transportation breaks down. Austin Mobile Mechanic was very efficient and did a great job with my SUV. I have been recommending them to all my friends.

It is WORTH every penny. They come out and dont jerk you around. They arrived AND repaired my vehicle within 45 minutes of my call. I had a wonderful experience dealing with Austin Mobile Mechanics. My car wouldnt start and they figured out the problem, which was a battery issue. It didnt cost a arm and a leg either which, of course, is the end goal here. They were also fast and very friendly. GREAT experience!

Darren was awesome, for real. I was stranded at a Mighty Fine hamburger joint down on Brodie and after I called, he arrived in less than 45 minutes. He easily diagnosed the problem of why my truck wouldnt start as a simple battery replacement. The job was done in like 20 minutes. To boot, Darren looked over the rest of the parts under the hood and the brakes and made solid recommendations without pressure to agree to additional work; simply things to genuinely look out for. Super nice, trustworthy guys. Replaced my thermostat a few weeks ago, still had some overheating issues so I took it back and even though they were booked solid the owner/boss of the shop took the time to have me pull around the back and fix me up so I could get on the road. I got in an accident and my car was not drivable. I called them 9AM and they sent a tow truck by 11AM. They called me and gave me the estimate on my car at 1PM, and my car was ready to pick up the very next morning.I am so pleased how fast the process of picking up, inspecting, and fixing was done, and the estimate came out to be way cheaper than I expected. I was honestly very surprised how cheap the labor cost was on the bill.I will definitely recommend and come back here for any mechanical problems on a vehicle.

Brought my 84 F250 in after working on it myself and failing to get it to start. I dont know very much but knew it would need some work that I couldnt provide. The team at AMM were able to diagnose and fix the issues pretty quick and get it up and running.Customer service throughout was good and the bill was fair for the parts and labor provided. The final bill had a discount that wasnt mentioned, and I think some things were fixed that also werent mentioned (dash check brake light for example).Id go back and also recommend them to friends without concern. Good place. Fixed it well, low cost. Also resolved an issue with the tow truck driver and saved me from getting my car impounded. Tow truck driver was getting all pissed but these guys took care of it for me, saved me lots of $ and hassle. I tried to tiip them but they wouldnt take it. Will be going with them again.

My experience here was FANTASTIC. Short version: if you are looking for a place to take your car stop your search and go here.Longer version: after suspecting overcharging by Firestone for a power steering issue, I called many other shops (including the top rated shops on many lists), this place was the only place that was affordable and the owner was upfront with me about all repairs. He explained what was wrong instead of just dropping vague terms on me and asking for a signature. He did the job extremely fast and well. Randy and his staff are great and I would absolutely recommend him to anyone with car troubles!!

I had a loud rattling noise at 1100-1300 RPMs only when driving. Firestone was unable to find the noise and took a guess at what it could be and wanted $1000 for the parts/labor. Austin Mobile Mechanics was able to find the noise and repair it at a fraction of the cost. Super fast & friendly service!

Dad has a 25 year old Oldsmobile, normally I can keep a car running and do most repairs myself, however this time I couldnt get it running after it wouldnt start. Austin Mobile Mechanic took it in and discovered several sensor and wiring issues that just eluded me and were able to get it running in a timely fashion. Im really happy with their service, would highly recommend.

These guys are awesome. My TaurusX overheated and died on me suddenly without warning i called these guys not only did they tow my truck within an hour they knew what the problem was (bust water pump) they quoted be a great price and explain exactly what was wrong and made sure that I understood everything. They had me back on the road in 2 days and even gave me on oil change. They now had a customer for life. And I’ve been spreading the word about them🙂

Thought I had a $600 problem, took the car to them, and they told me itd only be a little over $200. They ordered the part, got my car done in no time at all and my car runs so, so much better. They even gave me a ride to come get my car because I lived close and couldnt get another ride in time. Very kind people. I recommend them to everyone I know. My whole family uses them

I am a Uber / Delivery driver and have had a used engine put in my car along with several other services done. They give you upfront pricing and honest opinions. Easily would of spent 2/3rd more money going to some place like firestone instead for the same benefit.Scott is a great mechanic and I wouldnt take my care anywhere else to check it out thanks.

This shop truly does care about every one of their customers.After a misunderstanding and a very bad day. Julian, the shop owner, called me first thing in the morning and apologized for the mix up. Then he really went out of his way to make sure I felt the situation was rectified. They apologized many times and I am now certain my situation was a very very rare occurrence. Not only the call and offering a solution but also took on costs I didn’t expect them to. They saved me money where another shop told me I needed other parts and repairs that were NOT actually needed. Having A/C issues is always something that makes one worry it’s going to cost an arm and a leg. Austin Mobile mechanics let me know my vehicle had been misdiagnosed and what the actual issue was. The other shop was setting me up to repair things that weren’t needed so my issue wouldn’t be fixed and they could rack up a bill. (A/C with three children and a pregnancy in 104 degree weather is a necessity really.)AMM knew I was on a time crunch and really worked around that to get my vehicle back to me quickly.Steven was super kind, helpful and kept in touch with me throughout the entire day. He also helped me understand the repairs needed and the quote. He was such a help to me and very patient.They truly went above and beyond to help take care of my van issues. I would come back here for mechanic needed vehicle service without hesitation. I will be recommending them to anyone I know local to them.It’s really hard to find a decent mechanic who treats you like a valued customer and not like a money tree. The truck broke down on my way out to a job installation. They got out and fixed it within 2 hours from when I called. Expensive service but better than wasting a whole day with tow trucks and downtime.

Not a very positive experience. Had a 10AM appointment. I had to call them to check where they were. They rescheduled it to 1PM. Were an hour late to that appointment. Battery on my Prius needed to be replaced. They charged me $72 for driving over and $110 for the labor which was around 30 mins. Overpriced and not very punctual. - S.R.

Disappointed!Ive always appreciated how local Austin businesses seem to value customer satisfaction over making a buck. As a business owner myself its just not worth it to gouge or be unreasonable.Apparently the owner of this company disagrees with me. What I thought was an alternator problem turned out to just need a simple jump start. The mechanic was a nice enough guy but took roughly 20 seconds to fix my problem with jumper cables.I called the office to request that the additional $45 be waived since that is usually reserved for doing a thorough diagnosis and estimate of the problem. My paying the $57 mobile fee for their time seemed like a solid compromise. Its only fair that they get compensated for making the drive and helping me out. Thats the business side of me biting my lip and doing the right thing.I found the extra $45 fee unnecessary. And here is why:After I spoke with the office they called the mechanic who informed them what happened. I watched him explain it was a simple dead battery. They called me back and said that the owner was not going to help me out because the mechanic diagnosed the alternator so I would have to pay $102. So those 5 seconds he took to diagnose the alternator while the car was running fine costed me a lot. It was obviously a dead battery and required no work on their part other than the trip.So while I cannot comment on the quality of their work beyond this situation I can say their owner was unwilling to help a guy out and that goes a long way with me and most people. I was perfectly willing to pay them for their time but they were not as reasonable and decided to charge me $102 to jump start my car. And to call what they did a diagnosis worth $45 borders on shady.I will be taking my future business elsewhere and suggesting everyone I know do the same. There are several mobile mechanics in Austin with great reviews a simple Google search away.

The man I spoke with was more than courteous and understanding (considering that I was very nervous and freaking out a little over the phone) and the price for my fix was very reasonable. My car was up and running in less than 2 hours after my initial call.

In one word ... expensive !! I found out that the same work could have been done at a dealer for much less. They did the work for about 50% more than what the leading dealer in town quoted.Why couldnt I take it to the dealer? I called AMM and they said that based on my explanation it was minor problem and it would cost a couple of hundred. So I got my car towed there. After looking at it he said it was much larger problem and quoted over $1200. However, if I took it elsewhere, Id have to pay them over $150, since I had incurred charges.Looking over at the bill, I found that they had overcharged me for the parts by 50% as well. Cmon do we have to pay them over $100 an hour in this economy?Youre better off with any dealer in town.

This was the worst mechanic ever. Left me just as stranded as when we called him with no concern for my vehicle at all and he wants over $500 dollars for nothing. he did not fix one thing on this vehicle and he seems totally ok with that resolution which is unacceptable by any standards. dont call him unless you want to be ripped off by a want to be mechanic. SERIOUSLY

I called for a battery replacement, he came around in about 30-40 minutes and solved my problem in just about 10 minutes. Charged a reasonable price for service.
