They lied to my face and ripped me off please avoid this place at all costs. They charged me $160 for a simple diagnostic test and then lied to me when they told me that my radiator has a leak and also that I had hoses that were leaking. I took it to a different mechanic who was honest. Avoid this place at all costs they lie and cheat their way all the way to the bank at your expense

Only good thing is that they can see you literally on the spot if you come in with your vehicle. Other than that, be extremely mindful that if they can, they will take advantage of you and screw as much money out of you as they can.I was told I would need four new tires at $136 each. I only had two put in less than 6 months ago! Plus they charged me for a whole hour of labor. I went and got a free quote elsewhere and ended up replacing only two (which is what I thought I needed in the first place) for less than half the price this place gave me.

This will be my new go-to auto repair shop. Excellent customer service and attention to detail. There are signs inside the office that say No job is complete until the customer is happy. They ABSOLUTELY stand behind that. Great family and Great service. Feel good about leaving your repairs to this shop!

The reason for the 5 stars: Fast, fair & with quality.I needed repair work performed quickly for an A/C compressor issue, that I know is somewhat typical for the Honda CRV series, as we were just passing through on a drive across country. We were greeted by Mark & Maan at the front desk, of Hi-Tech Auto on Hwy 290, who were friendly and responsive to my situation. Maan was up front on what parts were typical for this type of repair and I knew he was being honest due to repairs I’ve done on the other CR-V’s I own. I was not turned away as I had been earlier in the day at another shop due to my time constraints. The shop had the repairs performed early the next day. The price was expensive ($1550 parts, refrigerant & labor) but I know that is fair for a compressor and condenser change out. Maan discussed other issues with the car (that I knew about already) but only performed the work I authorized. He also ensured I knew about the warranty that was good nationwide knowing that I was out of town. The A/C works great and no problems on the rest of our 1800 mile journey back to NY.

I felt like a valued customer and my vehicle now has its power back. I will use them for all my car issues going forward. They are professional, experienced, and fast with the repairs. Wife & I decided to take in her Volvo XC90 for routine maintenance. Received phone call from Maan the maintenance was completed (oil change, cabin air filter inspection & routine inspection). Mann had told us everything checked OK but the brakes were metal to metal & needed replaced. The quote was over $1,000.00 to perform all around brake job. Keep in mind they are not using Volvo parts. We had declined the brake job & picked up our Volvo after paying over 300.00 for Oil change & general inspection. Having experience with auto & marine mechanical, I decided to perform brake job myself. The front brakes did have pad wear but could have been driven approx 10,000 more miles and was not metal to metal like we were told. the rear brakes were totally Ok. Went ahead and replaced front & rear brakes. all new front & rear rotors and new pads all the way around Adjusted parking brake & completed the the entire brake job myself for 430.00. Keep in mind I did use aftermarket parts as was High Tech Automotive. Unfortunately we were looking for a reputable maintenance & repair facility and someone we could trust, but not this place. Honesty goes a long way & these guys are not honest and cannot be trusted. Will never go back & will make sure the word is spread out about this place

I had the car towed to the nearest shop, which happened to be this awesome place!During the repair process and coordinating with my insurance company, the shop owner kept me more informed than my insurance company. Mann and his staff at Hwy. 290 location are always very pleasant, thorough and trust worthy. Since weve been going here for a couple years now, we cant think of anyone or any where else that we would trust with our vehicles. Weve gotten oil changes, inspections, tune ups, and A/C repair. I originally posted the following two years ago and am editing it for no reason other than to add this note that nothing has changed - Hi-Tech is still number 1 for me.Have been using Hi-Tech for several years now. Charges are fair and service is outstanding! Ive never before had a mechanic who was so willing to go the extra mile to help me out.

$80 plus for an oil change. $48 for oil, $8 for oil filter (OK so far). $3 to top off windshield fluid.Here’s the catch: $15 late charge for going 1700 miles over sticker recommendation from last oil change, although vehicle computer said 25% oil life remaining. My wife paid and not worth returning for. C’MON MAN!

My car died in front of the shop. Turned out to be a fuel/air sensor. They had it fixed by 2pm the next day, at a reasonable price. I really enjoyed talking with Maan, and I would be coming back.

It is hard to find a great mechanic shop you can trust, when you move into a new area, but Mon and Hi-Tech were recommended by a co-worker who had bought two cars from Mon for him and his family. We took our vehicle to Mon and couldnt be happier with the excellent service we received and Mons great personal skills. He really makes customers feel at ease by explaining the car issues and the options to fix the problem. I now have a shop that can do all my vehicle inspections, repairs, auto body, etc... a one stop shop. He also has great used cars for sale. I highly recommend Hi-Tech for all your car issues. Lastly, Mon always offers fresh coffee to his customers from the day prior (joke). Thanks Mon.

Came here for a state inspection based on the reviews. Their service was prompt and I was done within 15 minutes. Not the best waiting area, but whatever.The reason Im leaving a one-star review is the fact that they broke my car key. The second I stepped out and pressed the unlock button on me key remote I knew something was wrong. Because metallic key leaf is jammed between the two plastic plates that form the housing to hold the electronics of the remote, if you were to jam the key hard, its easy to crack open the remote. And thats what seems to have happened.When I asked the owner about it, he got very defensive about it. He didnt even bother asking the mechanic first! He asked the mechanic if hed dropped the key, to which he got a prompt no. You cant break a key by dropping it. Not in this world.I can understand if the key broke as a matter of normal usage. And Id have expected him to just owe up to hit and help me fix it. But he didnt do any of that. Instead he blamed me for complaining about it - When you have come for $18 state inspection, dont expect me to spend $200 to fix your key. Sorry, thats the last time youll see me.

Great experience. I had to replace the 12 volt battery in my Prius. I called around for quotes and Hi-Tech was by far the best price! Not only that, but they got me in that afternoon and turned it around super fast! Maan was also very friendly. Total cost was $239. Christian Bros. wanted $385! I will return for future car needs.

We were recommended to hi tech automotive in Austin so we took our car in for an estimate after an accident, we needed the hood, lights and grill fixed; the gentleman at the south location said 300 for each not plus labor. We thought it was high, turns out each only costs about 150.We gave the 290 location a try when two of our windows quit working, and Mann wanted to charge us 545$ for two regulators and labor. We left and looked up the window regulators for our car- 40$ each.He also fixed my girlfriends mothers car before these events, about 3 grand of work, and it immediately broke down again.I have had nothing but lies from the owners and staff on pricing and poorly done work that did not fix anything.I would not recommend anyone go to hi tech automotive unless they want to be ripped off.

Will not trust anyone else to service my vehicles...moved to SATX, still drive the 1.5 hrs just to have Maan look at them & to service & maintain...I even purchase a vehicle from the 290 location...Maan & crew have been spot-on trouble-shooting the issues & service has been quick & painless...In this day & age...GOOD PEOPLE👍, GREAT SERVICE👍 & REASONABLE RATES👍 are hard to come by, but there at the 290 location, you can check all three boxes with a thumbs-up...KYLE VINSON

Honestly I feel a little bit taken advantage of, I got charged over 430 dollars for a new battery. Im not happy they said this was also with a discount. I personally believe that this is far too much. Honestly I shouldnt have paid for it but I would have had to spend more money having my car towed elsewhere. So at least I know no longer to go here.....Just updating my review to what the owner said. I actually express my dissatisfaction whenever I bought the battery, this was 3 months ago and my battery is already dead again. I will be paying you a visit back very shortly for $430 I would imagine this battery would come with a warranty if not I will be returning the battery

1st I got an itemized receipt. Laugh all you want, but an itemized receipt is nice to have when you want to know what you are paying for. 2nd, Maan was very personable and took the time to answer all my questions. I didnt feel rushed and he seemed eager to ensure I knew the answers to my questions. 3rd, Maan was very honest with me. I had an issue with my brakes and he showed me the issue. He recommended, also, that I return to the place of the original work to ensure that I got my money out of their warranty. 4th, I was quite amazed that when corresponding via email that Mona of Hi-Tech was eager to help and responded quite quick. I can probably count on my hands the number of businesses that are quick to respond to email. Overall it was a very good experience and I would recommend them to anyone. I will be returning for other auto-work.
