Amazing and wholesome experience! Everyone is SO nice and the kittens and cats are so well loved and cared for. Everything for sale goes to support the animals/their rent/expenses and every cat you see is available for adoption! I can’t stop smiling from the level of pure love and cuteness Java Cats Cafe brought me. The owner is a sweetheart and everyone we met was incredibly kind, knowledgeable and loving. Protect this business and these people/cats at all costs! Support them and love them if you’re in Atlanta! 10/10 experience and can not wait to go back.

This is a great place to fulfill your caffeine fix and brighten your day with delicious coffee and feline friends. It was a really cool experience to witness all of these cats saved from shelters moseying around in their own fun living space and not having to be trapped in a small cage all day and being able to interact with them. Highly recommend for starting off your day here and helping a good cause.

Java Cats is an absolutely lovely small business with a big heart. They do a fantastic job of getting cats adopted. They also have a very nice staff and make some very good drinks. I visit almost every week, and sometimes multiple times in a week, and always thoroughly enjoy my time at Java Cats and also find it very therapeutic.

I have to drag my girlfriend out of here because shed sit here all day if I didnt. Its a lovely place with a nice atmosphere and a kindhearted staff.

What an amazing cafe across from Oakland cemetery. I stopped by for a latte and discovered this wonderful coffee shop which raises money for the care of cats. Really nicely decorated inside lots of great wood and great offerings. My latte was perfectly made and theyve and put a little face of a cat on the froth of the latte. There is a second room inside which is full of cats that are ready to be adopted. You pay a fee to get in and be able to be with the cats. The fee allows you to have a discounted drink and the fee is used to help cover the cost of taking care of the cats. They have a partnership with PAWS Atlanta and they have helped to house over 300 cats over the last two years. Please share this great restaurants location with other people you know.

Earns five starts for the quality of the coffee and skill of the baristas. Yes, seeing the cats is an amazing and well-run experience, so don’t sleep on that. It just happens to also be a coffee shop that operates above routine Starbucks quality.

I booked this for my birthday and it was so much fun! Even my friends who wanted to indulge me ended up really liking this experience too. The coffee was probably the best I’ve ever had and the staff was so nice and friendly. I would book again!

I’m glad we can make reservations, will use that from now on. My sister & I went, were greeted & said we could pop in 1 at a time but because we wanted to go in together we waited about 10-15 minutes to go into the cat room. We didn’t get to see the cats because 2 couples got to go in around us, 1 couple had a reservation the other didn’t. So after standing there for a while, we eventually gave up and left but hopefully we can make a appointment for next time. Cats were pretty though

The whole family enjoyed our visit. The kids had so much fun interacting with the cats. The staff were very friendly and the service was great. We will be back again. :)* if I had to give any critique it would be the limited parking. I would try to get there a little bit early for your reservation in order to get a parking spot. The staff can also direct you to an alternate parking lot if the one in front of the cafe is full.

The question is...will you fall in love with this place like me? Because I have been falling in love with this place since I saw it on my Instagram. The cats were very adorable, friendly and energetic! Lots of toys to play with. I think its better to make a reservation for this Cafe as only 4 people can go inside to play with the cats. Have to wear a mask inside for COVID.

A wonderful place for cat lovers to pet some kitties and relax with a coffee. Book an appointment before you go. They do an amazing job of re-homing kitties that come from a no-kill animal shelter. Coming here is like coming home. This place is a must stop-in whether you love animals or not. Even just having a cup of (exceptional!) coffee while watching others visit the cat room lifts your spirits in a way we could all use coming out of these isolated and dark times.All proceeds go to supporting the animals, so you can feel good about spending a little extra on treating yourself to coffee.

Cute cafe and awesome staff. EVERYTHING is themed around cats and a viewing glass to see them in action from the main side of the cafe. If you want to go into their side with your coffee, and play with them, or just lounge around with a room filled with cats, youll have to reserve ahead of time (just keep that in mind). But the main side is still worth it, good internet speed and plenty of power jacks (even USB plugs) for the digital folk. You can also educate yourself on all things feline if you want to choose from one of the many publications on cats from their front table.

The fee goes to straight to caring for these precious kittens, and they put little descriptions and personality traits up on the board with the cat names.

I got my precious kitty Atari here. I’ve had her for about a year and a half now and she has become my child. The employees are cool, the drinks are nice and there’s cats. I don’t know what else you could ask for.Fun facts about Atari:- she can’t meow correctly so she sounds like a squeaky toy/bird- she used to lay around in front of the vents in the house and we couldn’t figure out why until we realized it was winter and she likes the heat coming out- i gave her a heated blanket and she will lay wherever you put it- she baby

I was not a cat person at all before we adopted from Java Cats. I agreed only because my wife really, really wanted a cat. After spending time with some at the Cafe and getting to know one of the sweetest, most gentle, most rambunctious cats, we adopted him and hes converted me into a cat lover. When we needed to get him a friend, we looked no further than Java Cats and again were able to meet a very sweet and cuddly cat at the new Marietta location.We couldnt be happier and luckier with the cats we adopted and the ability to meet them beforehand and spend a good amount of time with them to see the fit before adoption was a unique experience to Java Cats. Weve been many times since because we just really enjoy the experience of hanging out and playing with the cats and supporting an organization that has brought us so much joy in our adoptees.If you like cats, love cats, dont like cats, what to adopt, arent looking to adopt - no matter what, I highly recommend a visit.

I really like cats but this experience just wasnt good.The cats seem to be well taken care of but theyre not friendly I got scratched up.They need to cut theyre nails down especially if theyre going to be interacting with ppl also I expected to see smaller cats but they were all huge

I love Java Cats so much! I come here every Sunday to catch up on school and work while drinking my favorite coffee in town with the cutest little kitties. The owner is always so welcoming and makes the place feel like a home. He remembers my drink order and always puts the prettiest design on my latte. Sometimes he makes an adorable cat and other times he puts a floral design in it. It is always a pleasure coming in and catching up with Nick! Of course the employees here, such as Grace, are so kind hearted and sweet to me and the animals as well! I highly recommend coming here to meet the owner and Grace, grab a tasty coffee or tea, and share some hugs with the fur babies!

Its such a calming and relaxing environment. The cats are healthy and happy. We adopted a kitten from there, and we couldnt be happier with how smooth the process was. Overall, your going to love it here!

Went to the Memorial Dr location for the first time.... Such a fun, unique experience!! All the kitties, cat decor, cat puns... it was just glorious! You can stay on the cafe side, aka no live kitties, and look through windows at the cats. Or you can pay $10.90 to visit the cat room! (I still dont understand why there is tax)A drip coffee or tea are included with the cat room fee, fyi you can only use to-go cups in there.Theres a lot of kitties in the cat room and it smells like cats. The cafe does NOT smell, but cat room is fragrant with eau de feline... its not dirty, just pungent. Again, just fyi!Many of the kitties are adoptable too! They work with the nonprofit PAWS (PSA- they have all kinds of fur babies & always need help from volunteers!)

Well socialized, very loving cats! Theyre in a bright, large space that is beautiful and comfortable. The owner is extremely passionate about her kitties and it shows. She gave us a tour and detailed her plans for the space to help with kitten intake.It is $7 for all day which is an absolute steal.As of right now they cannot offer food or beverage on the premises but directly across the street is a wonderful artisanal grocery store with a great coffee bar. Quick stop over there you get your coffee and you come over to pet the cats. Im very excited to see this place only become more popular with time.

I visited multiple times in the past years they’ve been open. I would go more frequently if I lived closer but this was the first and best cat cafe I’ve ever been to! There were lots of cats and it’s in a big open space with lots of seating and a big window. I felt very welcomed with all the other cat lovers and also the owner who I met when I checked in! It’s also just a place to get coffee if you’re in a rush or just want coffee/tea. Even if you’re not looking for a cat to adopt but want to help out you can sponsor a cat so their adoption fee is free/reduced. It’s an amazing establishment and I wish I could visit more.

A great cat cafe! Good coffee too. To enter the cat space was $10 which included a coffee. I have been to cat cafes in NYC that were much more expensive! The cats in the cat room were very nice and even the ones who were tired still sat within human reach so you could pet them. Many cute cats from PAWS Atlanta. It was also very clean and no cat smell at all. I recommend it.

A friend told me to stop by, so a week after the opening, I had an hour to kill and so I did with kitty lovings!! What an incredible service to the community by offering a place for people like me—those who are too busy to have animals sitting alone at home—to get some sweet meow time. The cats are sleepy...like cats commonly are, especially later in the day, so go earlier to enjoy rambunctious fur babies! I met some cool people in the cat room! $10 is not expensive for the pleasure of preying a few kittens—just realize it will go to help their final adoption! ❤️💜💙💚💛

Java cats is amazing! The staff are incredible, the cafe is awesome, and the cats are precious! I adopted my cat from there over a year ago, and my life has been so much better ever since. Not to mention they are doing amazing work to keep the business alive during this horrible pandemic.

This place was amazing for a girl like me who is away from home and is missing her cats I thought it was a really interesting deal that you buy a coffee or tea and you get to go in the room with the cats for 30 minutes it was really clean no odor the cats were really fun and playful they have toys and treats in there so you can feed them there was about six or seven cats it’s amazing that they try to get these felines adopted and speaking to the owner alone this year they say they would get about 200 cats adopted and have raised the adoption rates by 400% at the local shelter. Are usually don’t like flavored tea but this was the first flavor tea I’d ever enjoyed I highly recommend for stress and coffee !

This is a homey cafe in downtown Atlanta thats a great place to grab a cup of coffee with a friend or spend some time with an abundance of cats! I have been to Java Cats multiple times with many of my friends, and we have not been disappointed! The reservation system works really well, and it is worth the (very reasonable) price. They do amazing work with the cats, and this is a great place to come if you are looking to adopt a cat of your own. You get a chance to meet cats of all ages, get a feel for their personalities, and you could adopt one if you find the right match. I will definitely be back!

I visited with my young nieces this past week and they had a blast. Even with the protections put in place for covid the visit was extremely fun and felt like a normal visit, my partner and I have visited a few times before and didnt feel a mask changed our experience. The owner was the only one working, but was able to attend to any questions we had while being extremely friendly and sweet to my nieces.

I love this cat cafe! It is obvious they care about the cats and try hard to find them a good forever home. Im not able to have a cat now so I come here weekly to get my cat fix and enjoy seeing familiar cats and meeting new ones. And I love to follow them on Instagram. If you are looking for a cat or want to have some fun playing with a couple you wont be disappointed. Only disappointed when one you love has found a forever home - but it is a sweet sadness (Mitas).

I have called this place on multiple occasions and absolutely NO ONE answers the phone. There isnt even a voicemail. I refuse to spend $25 in advance to book online and I cant even get someone to answer my calls. Is this place even open for business? Google says it is, but apparently not.

This is the cutest little cat cafe! They have great drink options with hilarious names (I got a Clawtte with oat milk and it was delicious). The cafe had the most chill, welcoming vibe. On weekends its a good idea to make a reservation prior to heading over, as the slots full up fast. But even if youre not in the cat room, you can watch kitty shenanigans through several large windows. This is definitely my new favorite spot!!

My only regret is that I didn’t realize they sell beer until leaving :-) I love that they give the cats a happy little home while helping them get adopted. Took my cat-loving-10 year old and he had a great time playing with the cats. The staff is very friendly. Reserving online is great because you can see how many people already reserved that hour, so you can limit the crowd you are with (assuming no one books the same time after you did). Parking is free and easy in front. We will go back.

Absolutely love this place! All the workers are so kind and helpful, the cats are absolute sweeties, and the food and drinks are delicious. Walked in the cat area, and fell in love with a kitten in 5 minutes, asked for an adoption application, and got the cat the same day! Adoption process is super easy. The workers are so nice and we’re so helpful! The get along with the cats great too. They have a wide selection of teas and coffee. And for younger ones or people who don’t like tea or coffee, they have got chocolate, coke, water, and caprisuns. They also have collars on temperamental cats. I’ve never been actually bitten or scratched, only love nibbles. Cats are playful and some are lazy. All are super cute. Very clean and nice! Has a window seating for people with allergies too!

Cute coffee cafe with a unique twist. You can sit and play with cats and even adopt a cat if you want! Grace was very pleasant and remained calm when a challenging customer started to make a disturbance. Free secured wifi is a bonus... i can sit, work, watch cats, and drink my iced coffee.

Kinda boring coffee and tea selection. They have the basic offerings with a wide range of flavor shots. The cats are fun though. Their process of allowing people to have 1 hour slots to visit the cats prevents it from getting too crowded. You pay for your hour and included is a free drink (coffee, tea, Italian soda, etc.).
