It’s exactly what you expect. Hipster type coffee shop with fairly priced coffee of decent quality, cool ambiance (though relatively small with not very much indoor seating), nice outdoor seating, and very friendly staff. Though, not quite as ideal as other coffee shops to set up to do work for an extended period of time due to lack of indoor table space and limited indoor seating.
Great coffee and a really cool environment located in what feels like a Truman Show style shopping center at Vinings Jubilee. Tried the cold brew with a little half and half. Cold brew was great! Also ate a cranberry scone which was good but could have used a little more flavor. My wife had the peppermint mocha which she said was “the best peppermint mocha” she had all year. The actual shop is really well designed and visually appealing. Biggest downside is that there isn’t much seating so your chances of enjoying your coffee in the shop are pretty low. This is the biggest reason it gets 4 starts instead of 5 for me.
I go slightly out of my way to get coffee here every morning. The coffee is delicious but the staff are absolutely the best and the main reason I come through. the shop has a very cute ambiance, limited seating indoors but nice space with some tables and bar seating outside. Nice place to enjoy your coffee when you have the time. Lots of other shops/food in the same complex.
Definitely one of the best coffeeshops Ive ever been to!!! The atmosphere is lovely, light and airy, the coffee is absolutely delicious, and the staff were kind and friendly. The music was also excellent and the book selection intriguing :). I visited with my girlfriend as part of a road trip during which we spent way too much on coffee, and this was my favorite coffee stop of the trip. The barista was lovely and I think the coolest stranger we met on the trip! I will be returning if Im ever in the Atlanta area again.
Ive visited Read Shop three times now and I absolutely love it. Every time Ive entered the store Im greeted with friendly faces behind the counter. I think their personalities create such a welcoming environment. The espresso is so smooth and delicious. Ive also had their hot coffee, cold brew, and London Fog tea, all really great options. Anytime Im in the Vinings area I plan on stopping by!
What a beautiful and tucked away spot! The aesthetic cant be missed and the literature has such a nice spread. Theres a few great coffee brewing things to buy as well as stationary. Theres even childrens books. The coffee was great. They brew Stumptown which tends to be a strong cup, but a wholesome one! Theres seating in the middle as well as along the windows and even charming outdoor seating. Friendly staff!
Beautiful coffee shop, but they sell themselves short as a bookstore. Its where I go to get Rifle Paper Co. stationery.
They have the best cappuccino in the world, just the perfect sized cup, well balanced milk and espresso ratio = super yummy. We love cappuccino so much that sometimes we travel just to go try some cafes. And this place is still at the top of our list and were lucky to live close to it. Even their setup is very charming with an amazing collection of books. The baristas are super sweet too! This is our happy place and we visit it at least 3-4 times a month as part of date night. Just love it! ❤️
A cute little coffee shop that always has good seasonal flavors and super friendly staff!
This is by far my favorite coffee shop in the area. They have the best tasting coffee and their staff is always so nice! Their pastries are also so yummy!
Great coffee in a beautiful, relaxing space. Awesome barista. Nice way to relax and unwind
Super cute coffee shop/funky little bookstore located in the bougie Vinings Jubilee. Super chill and comfortable with not only fabulous coffee and a really nice and personable barista, but some great music playing at the perfect level in the background. An ideal little place to hang on your own, get a bit of work done or meet a friend. Plenty of parking, inside and outside seating, five stars all around!
Such a cozy and unique place! Unassuming from the outside, you walk in and instantly feel comforted and at home. It’s small and not the place best to probably do a ton of work, but an excellent place to relax with a book or buy some neat stationary. We came in for 30 minutes for a cup of coffee and a good read. Interesting book selection. Coffee was good also.
Great coffee place, pleasure to sit outside and friendly staff. Has some great books.
Espresso is delicious and baristas are always so friendly and warm, definitely gonna be coming here regularly. i do wish there was more seating though
Stopped in on a recommendation...and absolutely fell in love! Such a cozy spot, with a touch of something for everyone!
Repeat customer. Absolutely love this place. Super cute. Fun outside porch area.
Small shop, not a lot to choose from and kinda pricey to me.
Always fun. Always kind. Always delicious. Always an experience visiting the Read Shop.
I was surprised by how good the coffee was, for being a combination bookstore. The barista poured a beautiful cappuccino, practically perfect coffee on all considerable metrics. The book selection is very small. Most of the books are cookbooks or coffeetable books, not really books meant for reading, although there is a small and modern selection of perhaps three dozen of those.
Such a cute book shop with yummy drinks and snacks plus outdoor seating. Would definitely visit again!
Lovely place that we just discovered. Really good coffee.
Best coffee shop in Atlanta!!! Their coffee is *chef’s kiss* 🎉💃🏻🔥
Best coffee shop in vinings!
Great little coffee/bookshop with great staff and delicious staff
The inside is absolutely gorgeous! And the coffee was exquisite! By the way their cups are adorable!
The most charming and quaint coffee shop with high quality pastries.I only have 2 gripes. They need much more seating inside, pre-covid it prevented me from coming sometimes. The iced coffee could be a little bolder. It varies depending on batista. But 100% worth a visit.
Got an iced macchiato which was good. Wish there was a bigger book selection
British standard coffee beverages without needing to travel to England!
I go to the shop a couple times a week. Friendly people and delicious drinks!
Such a unique little coffee shop! Delicious coffees!
This is too of the list for best coffee shops in Atlanta. They have such a welcoming staff and cozy atmosphere. The coffee is excellent and the book selection is fantastic! I highly recommend this place to book lovers, coffee lovers and parents! (There are a great selection of childrens books!)
The cashier was very nice, not sure of her name. I had a latte with oat milk and it was delicious, I aslo had a scone with jelly and cream cheese. It was delicious. I stayed for a few hours to get some work done, i will be returning.
Love the coffee at the read shop, the staff is lovely and the aesthetic is clean, trendy and beautiful. A great place to read or meet someone for coffee. As a vegan, there are no food options and that is why I can only give them 4 stars. Otherwise, it is an excellent place that I enjoy frequenting very much!
Been coming here a year, off and on. The people that work here are literally the nicest chillest people. Justin is super cool, the blonde girl, the girl with brown hair (sorry not a name person) they make you feel like it brightens their day seeing you walk in the door and it makes you feel the same way. Highly recommend. The coffee is great too!
Excellent Coffee
Delicious drinks and adorable store!
Cute quaint small coffee shop within the local shopping area. Coffee was bold and full of flavor. They did have two non dairy options (oat & almond). Prices are fair. Environment is soft and comfortable but not much seating choices.
Definitely a cozy, quiet spot for some down time. Randomly went one morning for a cup of coffee and ended up staying longer than expected. They have a nice selection of books and their hibiscus tea is so yummy!
Simply go for the downstairs used book section. Best selection in the Atlanta Area, hands down. But make sure you have some money on hand, because there is no way you are leaving without buying something.
Might be the only coffee shop in Atlanta that serves Stumptown regularly (a couple of others do it on a rotating basis). Very cozy spot and an interesting combination of a bookstore/coffee shop.
This is such a unique spot. My husband and I love going to coffee shops on Sundays and we are so glad we found this one. So many interesting books and gifts not to mention an amazing almond milk chai! Not a lot of seating as others have said but it is definitely worth a visit. We will be back!
Friendly; limited books and dating inside. They ONLY have full dairy creamer. There is lot a dairy free - sugar free creamer option. So if you want a cup of coffee and are trying to be dairy and sugar free....this is not your place.
Great little place to have coffee. But it is a little cramped 10 people would be a lot. But I would go back again
Excellent coffees, teas and service. A very popular place. Sometimes a wait to be served, and seating inside full.
The baristas are so kind and welcoming. The latte is absolutely great. Will come to this place again.
I love this place. Looks very nice but feels very laid back. Indoor seating is a bit limited but its usually not super crowded anyway. The baristas are always nice and helpful.
They have a section of childrens books based on classic novels. Great for getting the young ones interested in reading. The coffee is great too.
What an incredible shop! The staff is friendly and helpful, the coffee is delicious, and there are books everywhere. Perfect!
Excellent coffee, and very cozy. Dont necessarily believe in all the political books they have...but great experience overall. Great staff and truffles were amazing!
I went here to get some work done on a Wednesday afternoon. There are so many books- and I love that. This review is more about a place to sit and get stuff done. You cant. I left after 10 minutes. It was me and two other customers and somehow the noise was unbearable. The music was so loud and there was very limited places to sit and put your laptop. This spot is very neat and I wouldve loved to call it a regular spot. Very disappointed.
Each time I go there, the ambiance, the friendly staff, the cozy nooks just bowls me over. For a small establishment it has quite an eclectic collection of books, not to mention that the decor is quite nice. Ticks all my boxes for a cozy reading shop!
Coffee was a bit too acidic for my taste but loved the atmosphere and barista.
I love this place! Super cute and relaxing ambiance, and the drip coffee is delicious. I really like buying coffee by the pound here, too -- Holler Mountain is such a delicious blend! Also - BONUS - they sell Topo Chicos!
The people behind the counter were very nice. The atmosphere is very cozy. I came here after trying to go to a different coffee shop, but I left after seeing how crowded it was. Im glad I left
Quiet, jazzy upscale coffeehouse slash bookstore. Small but seating is nonetheless ample. Coffee and tea were good and staff attentive and pleasant. Nicely curated book selection.
The Coffee here is great, and the location is super cute. The book selection isnt hige, but what they do have is interesting.
Not much seating but the coffee was good and the books were unique
Really great place to get very good coffee. Good vibe inside and out.
5 stars as a coffee shop. Great coffees, beautiful, spotless décor, and softer music. 4 stars as a bookstore. Bestsellers and many coffee table books, but not much else in books.
Absolutely adorable shop.
Very friendly employees. Cute shop.
I love this pleasant book store and coffee shop. Neat concept. Super nice staff!
Trendy. Good coffee but small size and a bit pricier than similar. Limited selection on books but no bargain prices.
Great place! Wish they had more seating.
Adorable. Great Coffee. Would highly recommend.
A great place for coffee and to pick up unique gifts! The childrens section always has something fun, and I love to browse the local prints and postcards.
Great, smooth coffee with a bright, positive barista! Lovely atmosphere. Small, lively Café surrounded with magazines and sunlight.
Its small but very relaxing. Good for young people
