So for a last minute alternative because the other choices had 2 hour wait times we stopped by Highland Bakery (cafe ) in Buckhead the 2 person staff that was there did a Great job ππ½ the π§βπ³ in the back even came out to apologize for running out of grits and offered a substitute and the sweet potato pancake was Really good, brown sugar syrup delicious, crisp bacon, and crispy potatoes as specified were not a disappointment at all. Caprese sandwich tasty. Great service, good food and accommodating chef - not so great was the limited seating, no AC in the building lobby, other than that would visit again β¦. And recommend β
The service is still not great but I like their food.We opted to do takeout because we were afraid there was going to be a big crowd. It actually was pretty packed when we arrived for pick up. They had tables outside and inside for dine in and did their part in social distancing. It was difficult to find parking so its a good thing we didnt eat there. We parked temporarily on the street right across the restaurant.I ordered their regular French toast which is really good. Theyre famous for their peanut butter French toast but Im not a huge fan of peanut butter. My bf got the fried chicken Benedict with potatoes. Everything was super flavorful and nicely packed. I like how the sauces/gravy were packed separately so its not soggy by the time we get home.If this place had better service itd be 5 stars!
Have you ever heard someone say I almost hurt myself as in metaphorically speaking? Listen here people I almost hurt myself enjoying this food. I dare not say a competitors name while giving a review, but for the life of me there was this French toast at another restaurant that I thought would never in life be topped. Well I be doggone if Highland Bakery easily topped it and is now my favorite place to get french toast. My daughter and I are in agreement that this is the case. The omlet I had was excellent and my daughter kept taking a few bites out of it. Lol. The price is worth the taste. Ill be visiting again soon.
I wanted to love it after rave reviews, especially because its a slipper shuffle away. Its fine. Really, its fine.
We werenβt even able to get food. First my gf couldnβt order TO GO because our dog was with her. Our dog is a 9 pound miniature pincher that is a SERVICE DOG, but since we really wanted biscuits and coffee and are from out of town and staying at the Westin with no car I came up there so I could order while she stood outside with the dog. Finally after waiting in line for 10-15 minutes I was informed thereβs one cook and that food would take 45 minutes. There were only 3 tickets and you can literally see the cook in the back just standing there. Strongly donβt reccomend this place just grab food from Westin or wait for 11 and go to flower child or seven lamps
Had breakfast here on my first morning. Customer service wasnβt that good. I ordered an omelet, burrito, pancakes, snd french toast. Iβm a big eater. The pancakes and French toast came out about 10 minutes before the onlette and burrito. Sounds extremely backwards to what Iβm used to. Food was ok. Not the best.Edit: itβs not about it coming out staggered. I prefer that since I order a lot of food. Normally the sugary good come out after the savory. Thatβs every breakfast and brunch place Iβve been to. Which I go almost every weekend. Had the savory came out first I would have been perfectly fine and understanding. But the sweets should never come out first.
Wow, first time back here in a while, and even though short staffed, CINDY was holding things down and NOT messing aroundπ. Thanks again, Cindy, for your EXCELLENT CUSTOMER CARE, and inforcing compliance to help keep US all stay safe. Oh, and the food was GREAT, and hotπ. Peace, and Lβ€ve.
Came in on a Tuesday, WORST SERVICE EVER! We were not greeted upon entering the establishment, and honestly I felt like I was treated as if I was not wanted there for whatever reason. I asked a question about the menu prior to ordering, only to be asked for my name with a snarky tone. I was dressed casually so maybe that was the reason, but thatβs an unacceptable reason to treat someone as other. I was truly looking forward to their breakfast, but decided to patronize Seanβs Harvest Market instead.
Iβm not one to rate a place this low but my goodness has this place sipped. The service was terrible and the lady was rude. They were out of numerous things and had no suggestions for alternative options.
Not bad. Its been years since I visited the Buckhead location. Back then it was always busy, there was waitstaff and food was always delicious. It looks like the business has changed for the worse. There was hardly anyone else there. No waitstaff. A nice enough woman took our orders, though constantly checking her watch for text messages and making the interaction feel cold and rushed. Food was decent but definitely not what it used to be. Food served on plates with plasticware. I hate plasticware. It feels like Im eating at a cheap diner. Food was greasy. Baked goods looked sad though we bought some mediocre cupcakes to take home to the kids. Overall, the experience was disappointing. We wont be back. Mostly, Im sad that a once vibrant place has declined so much.
Definitely go to the original...655 Highland Ave NEUnit 10Atlanta, GA 30312United Statesthe serving sizes at this location are significantly smaller compared to the original location. Everything was edible but not great. *sigh*
Nice breakfast spot. Near the MARTA. Friendly staff. Good pancakes
Finished the Peanut Butter French Toast by myself. The Shrimp & Grits are really good too.
Thank you Highland Bakery Buckheas customer service is top notch. My family and I even my 4 year daughter loves this location. We love the food taste and variety of gluten free, vegan friendly and traditional food options! The breakfast and lunch is awesome!!! Thank you HB Buckhead!
Excellent service, fresh fruit and veggies make this a great spot
Brought my daughter to Atlanta for her 13th birthday & this is our second morning eating here!Iβm a food guru & this is a must have type of place! The peanut butter French toast was my daughter favorite! The potatoes & BLT were mine!Excellent service, Enjoy β€οΈ
Hard to find the location and the menu seems a bit more limited, but what they do have is delicious!
I have never dined in, but frequently order the Fried Chicken Eggs Benedict on Doordash and it is delicious!! You will not be disappointed.
This place was fabulous! They should really change their name to Cafe because theyre so much more than a bakery. Best egg white omelet Ive had in a while!
I love bakeries! I am an avid fan of the bakeries all over the world . I was very excited to try the Buckhead Highland bakery on Peachtree road in buckhead . When I arrived there on Sunday early morning and I ordered my favorite croissant and pain au chocolat, to my shock the croissant was STALE! When I addressed the issue to the cashier, she rudely answered to me that she doesnβt bake them. I was in shock even more from the customer service she gave me . Sad experience for me and the croissants. I felt more hurt for the poor stale croissants in the Buckhead Highland Bakery then for the people. It should be a crime to sell a stale croissants! This place is like a hell for baked goods.
Love the main location. This one doesnβt have many baked goods, cook wasnβt wearing a mask, and sandwich was not very good.
Amazing breakfast ππ½
Was recommended to come here by the hotel concierge and it did not disappoint! Had the shrimp and grits and Ricotta pancakes that were incredible. They had a kids menu which was great. And then realized they had mimosas! Staff was friendly, fast and the music variety was really cool. Will definitely be back!
The staff was very unwelcoming . The cashier clearly showed no desire to be there . Due to medical conditions, Iβm not required to wear a mask but was asked by a cook in the front area did I have one, point to make is this ( he had no mask on. ) He proceeds to go to the back and speak with another gentleman cook, exchanges laughs & looks at me . (Donβt know if the conversation was about me or not but very skeptical of it . ) nevertheless, I chose not to spend my money there . Food maybe amazing ! I will try another franchise with a staff who is passionate about being at the workplace
I absolutely love this place!! Im here about 3-4 times a week. The sweet potato biscuits are amazing. So is the fried chicken biscuit and the Elvis smoothie. Everything that Ive tried so far Ive loved it. The staff is also amazing. Always friendly and accommodating. Definitely recommend to anyone.
Great service and food!
No masks worn by staff. Cook or cashier did not wear masks.
I order their catering frequently and would 100% recommend it. They are so consistent, coordinating it is easy and the food is always great. They also always check in to confirm everything went well which just proves their great service!
I donβt get the haters. This place was awesome. Had a bacon egg & cheese sandwich, chocolate croissant and cappuccino. Top notch food but the service was a little slow...I can look past it this time. Will definitely come back
I ordered a sweet potato biscuit. It was toasted. Loved it. The sweet potato pancakes I didnt like. They were to thin, wasnt cooked.I wanted fluffy.
Spent over hour and a half waiting for food. Staff was not helpful in telling us the status of our orders after inquiring over 5 times over 45 min. Food was then served incorrectly with the wrong side while others in the group waited for food for an additional 30min after the first plate was brought out. Staff was unhelpful and unapologetic about the circumstances of the meal until the chef came out of the kitchen only after we had finished eating and were getting up to leave. Another group, that came in after my own group, was compensated for their wait with a $100 gift card while my group received no such reimbursement. Will not return.
The last two times we stopped in the changes were very obvious and not for the best.Personal changes were the worse. The happy employees that were there from the begining seemed to be replaced by a group of sour faces and even the food choices being served didnt seem the same....
Staff were really friendly and service was great, especially for first thing in the morning. Opens early and has as a variety of breakfast items. However, vegan options are limited. They do offer soy milk! Bagels were softer than my liking. Coffee was great. There is both indoor and outdoor seating.
Food is usually decent, but cooking can be inconsistent. The lattes are usually bad. Milk is way over heated and the whole thing just tastes bad (worse with flavor). Hopefully Iβll try again and see some improvement.
Writing this post as I am sitting here. Itβs been an hour and 20 minutes since we have ordered our food. Mine being a chicken salad sandwich. A SANDWICH. There is 9 people in this restaurant.
The food is a bit pricey but very good. The service is terrible. They stand around and talk to each other, customers way too much.
Shockingly bad. Service was non-existent: sat down and literally waited for a server for 20 minutes after asking for help multiple times. Food came out over the course of 15 minutes, one item at a time, then our drink orders came out. Food was nowhere near the level of quality Ive come to expect from the other Highland locations Ive been to.
I ordered the highland breakfast. Potatoes seasoned well, sourdough bread not hard, great jam. Didnt like the Turkey sausage. Theres patio seating . One clean bathroom. Defcoming back.
I work in the building. The staff is friendly enough. But it takes too long to get service. I cant afford to wait in line for 10 minutes for a cup of coffee at 8am. This didnt used to be the case. I really hope that they turn it around.
Overall it was good, ordered a breakfast but the food was not warm enough.
Mediocre, food was acceptable, but nothing to write home a out. Basically a Starbucks with sandwiches and some breakfast items. Many better options in the area.
Absolutely the WORST service Iβve experienced in any place of business. The waitress never even came to our table and we eventually had to order our food to go and eat it in restaurant off to the side. AWFUL!!
Horrible experience! I ordered the breakfast BLT, the wait was about 7-10 minutes which is fine bc they cook the food fresh. I get to my car to snack on my potatoes and notice there is no bacon on my BLT. Mind you this two very large pieces of sourdough bread. I return in to get bacon on my BLT, wait another 5 mins for service, get back to my car to find they put 2 pieces of bacon on bread that takes up a whole to-go box. I go back in to make sure this is right? She says yes, I am forced to get a refund. No way! For an $11 breakfast sandwich?!? No way! Very disappointed, potatoes were good
$18 shrimp & grits with 4 pieces of shrimp.*Well I only got 4.
Slow service (very under staffed) food was not fresh at all (overly greasy and under seasoned). I had a good experience at the Midtown location but would never go to the Buckhead location again. I do not recommend.
My son and I took my wife there because she loves breakfast food all day. There Syrup was amazing. Had to speak with owner about small issue and he was more than happy to help us.
Not a good experience when we ordered team lunches. The lunches were put in bags randomly and not marked to differentiate. Were told to open eachone and figure out. Not so great experiences with coffee there, even though thats our first option within the AFC building.
Absolutely wonderful and delicious! There were business, I thought I would get it to go and walk home and enjoy. Just Wonderful...
Wow! Just finishing my breakfast and all I can say is wow. Came in on a Saturday morning and from the moment I walked in I was greeted by a friendly staff, I was sat down quickly, and before I knew it my food was at the table. I was staying at the hotel next-door and I was definitely not disappointed. Will be back my next time around!
Food was very bland. It was ok. That is all.
The food is always good here, and its a nice place for brunch. With that said, there is always slow and unresponsive service. The prices are high for what you get, and EVERYTHING is an extra charge. Bottom line: good food keeps me coming back, service and prices keep em wondering why every time.
Amazing service from the staff, great food and prices
I visited the Buckhead location. The food was good. The service was fast and friendly. My server, Damon, did an excellent job. I will definitely recommend.
Loved the service and atmosphere. We went on a Sunday morning. The people watching was fun and the weather was beautiful for sitting outside on the patio. Loved the breakfast BLT. Best ever!
The breakfast food food is superb and the service is great. Chocolate cake donuts after breakfast....Lord have mercy. I live in Chicago...this place is a must every single time I visit Atlanta.
Great breakfast place. Food is excellent and prices are fair. Staff is very cheerful and helpful.
I went here for a birthday breakfast. It was really tasty and the service was attentive and prompt. We did get a cinnamon roll to start, which was a bit dry, but our our entrees were yummy and filling.
Absolutely terrible. $12 for a breakfast sandwich that came out cold. The sourdough was stale, and the eggs were dripping in oil.
We stayed nearby the Buckhead location this past weekend. Everything was great! Over multiple visits we tried Sweet Potato Pancakes, Peanut Butter French Toast, omlette, breakfast sandwich, White Bean Chili, coffee, and baked goods. I highly suggest the French Toast and other breads (jalapeΓ±o, rosemary) were good as well.
I wish I could give more starts. Love the place, food and specially employees . They are so friendly and best on their own. Very quick and easy services. Love the menu.
Always top notch! Great service and amazing food each and every time.
It was very Unpleasant. When we got there they said they were out of certain food items. ran out of food. The table they placed was dirty so we had to ensure the waitress clean up the table. When they brought out our food the tuna sandwich I ordered had a funny taste. The bread was stale. I will not be returning to this place.
I use to really love Highland Bakery was a weekly regular. Unfortunately they served a juice drink there, not sure if they still do and got extremely sick that night. Definitely food poisoning. Since then its been hard to go back. Had a meeting there recently for breakfast at the one in Buckhead and to me the servings are not consistent with Inman Park. Use to be a huge fan. Not a destination place anymore.
Was not what I expected when I walked in. Decided to order. My son order the shrimp and grits, my daughter and I ordered french toast and, my husband ordered a turkey sandwich. It was all great.
Do yourself a favor and skip this place. Incredibly slow service and ridiculously priced parking. I would rate the food, but Im still waiting for it. 30 minutes and counting. Just for a bagel... Unfortunately, the food arrived.
Best Sweet Potatoe pancakes, service and bakery. A must stop if your in the ATL...love it!
Food wasnβt bad but the service was terrible. When I walked in I saw there were about 5 or 6 chocolate croissants in the showcase, then when I sat down to order, me and my friend each ordered one. The waitress comes back to us about 30 min later saying they only have 1 left?? Also, when I finally got my food served to me, I still had no silverware. Other customers also were waiting for silverware with food already served to them. They mustβve had an off day, but I will not be back.
All the locations of the Highland Bakery are always great! Their food and coffee is great!
First time at the bakery. Had peanut butter French toast. Yummy!
Great service. The granola with yogurt and fresh berries was out of this world! Glad I stumbled on this place.
The Cowboy Benedict reminded me of how much I like poached eggs. The eggs are perfect, sitting on a corn based sauce with a pair of cheese quesadillas and a hefty portion of black beans. Great coffee!
Great friendly and fast service. Great breakfast options and casual ambiance. Kid friendly environment!
Every time I come to Atlanta I got there. Food and staff are wonderful
Have tried two different locations. Excellent staff and incredible food. Family all enjoyed.
Very good service. And quick... If you have a little extra time get the open faced BLT... Yum!!!
They have so many great choices for eggs benedict. (Not as many as the highland location) very convenient and the validate parking in the deck right behind the restaurant.
The food looks amazing and the spot is great. The staff is pretentious and seem to profile for tips.
Good Food but the service isnt up to par with the original in Old 4th Ward. They didnt have two cashiers on when they needed it most, a lot of the staff said they were understaffed as an excuse for the long line, wait time, and forgotten meals for several guests. Please have more staff on during busy times to help change this!
I really love their food..... you must try the sweet potatoe pancake. Once you try it, youll have to have it everytime, even if you order something else with it. My quick pick up meal is the bacon, egg and cheese croissant which I have at least once a week..... the cheese is different and a delightful change. The only negative to this particular location is the parking, theres only a few spaces available in the front and a few more on the side, however there is a large parking deck toward the back of the highrise. I go there a lot and have had only 1 bad customer service incident, so Ill chalk it up to that particular person. Go... the food is worth it.
Wish i could give it zero stars. Service is beyond slow. They have 2 people at cash register and only 1 ever takes orders. Stood in line for 15 minutes waiting for the lady to ask the couple in front if they knew what they wanted. Food came my lunch break was over. Dont come here this is my third time trying them and 3 times ive been disappointed. GO HOME AND COOK YOUR FOOD!!!!!
Very slow, poor food quality. Too laid back!!!!
If Flying Biscuit is 5 stars, then food here is about 3. Waffle House is just as good, and parking is free at WH. Service was quick and friendly enough here.
Very good. staff was awesome foods good to
Glad I read the reviews first - my expectations werent high. They ask you for a tip before you get anything...always a bad sign lol. Then the service is less than Starbucks level (heres your coffee, maam - left on counter for me to retrieve) and the crab cake eggs benedict comes with hard potatoes and so much vinegar that youll need to rinse your mouth out after. Still, it was food, and it was coffee, which I needed and only a short walk from my hotel. $20 incl tip.
Great staff and fantastic food 5π
Great place for a morning bite on the way to work. Friendly service and Soutbern-inspired fare.
Love this place! Came here on a holiday! Staff very friendly
Had the eggs benedict. Very good along with the blueberry crumb cake highly recommended. For some reason when you try to navigate to this place on Google maps its messed up so just know its inside the Suntrust building
