I loved this place. Inside was super comfortable. The coffee was AMAZING! And Im picky about coffee. I also ordered a muffin and a sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich, both were delicious!

Grant park coffeehouse closed so I decided to give this coffee shop a try mainly because it is one of the few in my area that opens before 8. I arrived at opening time but the doors were still locked. 3 employees stood for 10 minutes past opening- talking and ignoring me completely. I knew I couldn’t get to the other open coffeehouse before my 8am meeting- so I stood there like a jackass while they ignored me and the clock. When 2 other people walked up, they magically regained their vision and opened the door. Haven’t been here before but if is how they always operate, I won’t be back.

Great study atmosphere, great food and coffee, and amazing staff. I was here before and after the renovations and I love the new space! It feels great to support a place Ive always felt appreciated.

Love this place. Long time customer. The food is good. Tip - always check food order before leaving. It is kinda hit or miss with the batistas and cooks. Invariably some item is left off. Order cream cheese on bfast sandwich, maybe its there maybe its not. Paid for whip cream? Better check that its there and not just foam. Minor things but if I pay for something then I want it. 💯 ... fortunately have had more positive than neg experiences. People are friendly and coffee is good.

What a great place and nice folks. Very well laid out with a good breakfast menu and coffee choices. PLUS the new entrance to the Carver Market makes this a good spot for some shopping and chill.

Went here today for the first time and loved it! I had a chocolate coffee drink that was amazing and the make your own sandwich was delicious and nice to choose exactly what I wanted!

I got a regular cup of coffee and a blueberry muffin. The muffin was good the coffee, light roast, tasty. I would definitely come back for coffee. The decor was wonderful loved the artwork and tables. There is also a small grocery store in the front of the coffee shop. Barista was nice and informed me about their free loyalty card.

Obsessed with this spot! The iced lavender lush latte is delicious. Tasty BLT sand which! All around great vibes.

Cozy little coffee shop with a library and food market. I stopped through on a road trip in search of a local coffee shop. The latte was decent. I would suggest more people on shift, as it took 15 minutes for 2 lattes.

If I’m not mistaken, this is the shop located inside of the carver market. I actually go out of my way sometimes for their Iced Chai, which they offer with dairy-free milk, huge plus for me. I also love their breakfast croissants! I go grab an avocado from the market side and they cut it up and throw it on my custom order, where else can you do that?

Coffee is good, just a reminder this is a small independent owned Coffee shop and nothing like that big chain that sells coffee. Different experience.

One of my favorite coffee shops in Atlanta. Low-key, not at all pretentious. Lots of seating for work or just hanging out. Soundtrack is always, always good. Coffee is solid and food and pastries have never disappointed me. (Food is made to order though, so be prepared to wait 10-15 minutes). The staff is friendly, and a place where they remember your name :) I work nearby so they see me a lot, but even if I didnt, Id find my way back here because its just good energy all around.

Used to come here for a Spanish meet-up, many months ago. Their coffee was amazing and the atmosphere inside was very nice. The little room with books and little chairs are so nice to have.

Good coffee, good good, pretty good prices. Used to get a little loud in there after high school got out, but other than that, its always been a nice spot to get a coffee and do some work or play some scrabble

The idea behind Community Grounds coffee shop is great. They just have such a high employee turnover that they can never seem to meet the demand of two people in line. Everything taste good and is fresh to order but I highly suggest that you plan 30 minutes of additional commute time during peak hours. Planning less than that will frustrate you.

Community grounds is affordable and cozy! I got the chicken pesto sandwich and it was so good. Great lunch

Im happy we have this place in our neighborhood. Not only can I get good food there, I can also host small meetings there and my guests have a variety of foods and drink to choose from. Central location with easy access and nice atmosphere!

I love this cafe!The employees are all very sweet and respectful. The drinks are always delicious. I also love that they have a full bookshelf that allows you to donate or take a book, super great!

Good location. Really chill environment. Staff was courteous and gave a good recommendation (Turkey + Kale). Plenty of space so you dont feel that youre crowding your neighbors and plenty of electrical outlets so you can stay juiced.

I absolutely love the coffee, pastries, & various lunch foods they offer here. Ive been back often since my first time trying this place. Im not sure if theyve got special creamer for their coffee but its creamy, yet not thick. I also enjoy their eclectic atmosphere with the creative tables & seating they offer. Not overwhelming like Starbucks can be but actually inviting & homey feeling. I would suggest this place to anyone looking for some quick & delicious coffee & more.

Everyone should definitely support this local cafe! It’s so reasonably priced too- I went in for tea on a rainy day & the atmosphere was clean and cozy. I got the papaya ginger green tea and was impressed that they had filter lids instead of the tea strainers. It definitely made the tea strong but not over steeped, it perked me right up! A usual green tea doesn’t have the same effect. There’s a lovely local grocer attached to the cafe & they also support local artists.

I love this place! I stop in for coffee or hot tea almost everyday. They also have really tasty and healthy smoothies. The McDonough mango is my favorite. They have the best chicken pesto panini in town. Their kale salad is really good as well. Perfect little spot and meeting place and its connected to a small grocery store for all your needs.

Im all for supporting small business, especially within my community. Went into this establishment to pick up a orderUpon arrival, the young lady behind the counter was helping someone else. As they finished up and the customer walked away. I patiently waited for her to alert that she was ready fir the next customer. She rudely said next (a complete change of disposition from the guy in front of me). I approached the counter, told her why I was there and what I was picking up. I held my phone for to see the correct order to void any error. After she got the order, she abruptly and rudely states you can move your phone. Keep in mind, it wasnt problematic when she was getting the info. I tried to brush it off and then just ended up staying to her in a very calm voice, Its not always what, its most often how you say it. She then begins to tell me, how my phone was in her face (I was holding my phone up in a position that she would retrieve the information). And then stated to her, I that Im sure of what the problem is yet, she needs to work on her customer service. She tells me, the manager is right there if you have a problem. After she just places my order down and not even say anything about it... I stated to her, I dont have the problem, your manager does.

Very pleasant setting with kind staff and regular patrons. Only went for coffee, so will update after I enjoy breakfast on a future visit. Spiced cocoa my wife ordered was just the right amount of sweet.

Community Grounds Cafe is South Atlanta BEST KEPT SECRET!!!! The coffee and food taste great. The customer service is awesome. The staffs are friendly and welcoming. The coffee shop is connected to the local grocery store; with lots of organic/freshly grown produces. Def recommend this place.

This is a great place to escape for a while, with a good cup of coffee and a book. I almost didnt want to rate this place because its a great kept secret. But if I didnt tell the truth about it I would be doing it an injustice. This is one of my favorite places.The attached grocery store is an added incentive.

This is my favorite coffee shop in Atlanta, and Ive been to most of them. The staff is kind and respectful, the coffee is delicious, the pricing is more than reasonable, the atmosphere is relaxed with walls covered in local art.They also offer fresh, homemade baked goods, homemade smoothie/parfait options, and breakfast and lunch sandwiches.I almost didnt want to write this review so I could keep it to myself, but yknow what - These guys deserve it. Im voting them Best Coffee Shop in ATL next time Creative Loafing comes around. Try them out for yourself, maybe youll give them a vote too!

Staff were awesome! I walked in as they were closing but they were more than happy to make me a quick cup. Coffee was fantastic and the atmosphere was really relaxed with los of seating. If I lived in the area I would be here every week. So glad I stopped here and gave it a chance instead of going to a chain!

My friend and i frequent here almost everyday before work and i can sincerely say that this place is truely a gem. I love the community coffee shop vibe. They have great customer service and delicious bites to eat. I definitely recommend.

I have visited this coffee shop for a few years now. I love the blueberry muffins, yummy! I have recently rediscovered this Local Neighborhood gem. When you walk in you are greeted by the breakfast club who will make you laugh, which is a great start to any day. Plus I have now fallen in love with my leg white, swiss, bacon and tomatoe croissant they special make for me. I have now had it 2 days in a row and the regulars, Mr. Rick and Mr. Harry, are about to induct me into their exclusive morning club. :)This place has so much to offer. Its a little more of a drive for me now, but so worth the extra 5 or 10 minute commute because Im saving $6 for the same sandwich and coffee and I get to support great nonprofit causes. I still cant believe my usual $11 breakfast just cost me $5.81.

I love the kind staff here but to be honest for the sake of chances of improvement its always a 50/50 here everything is either amazing or my order is completely wrong. There is really no consistency on it. Also waaaaaay too much tea being put into the tea and more milk than coffee going into lattes. I think with a little more attention to details this place would be fire!!!!

One of the best store to shop. Cashiers are very polite with good attitude. Smells fresh as a Rose, Clean as a Whistle, Food is Fresh daily.

There was some confusion about the prices posted on the menu board. The register rang everything up at a higher price. They are updated their menu board. Otherwise everything was very fresh, tasty, and still reasonably priced!

Super chill place to work, have a meeting and have something to eat too. They have a nice market in there too!

Great local coffee spot. Ties into a a small grocery store and a really cool not for profit bicycle shop where they teach kids to work on bikes for free. They can even earn a free bike for learning there.

Enjoyed the customer service. Also like supporting a Christian owned business. Much more than a coffee shop 😀Would be a great place for live music, etc. Serving beer and wine may be helpful to build that part of the business.

Ive been coming here once a week for the Spanish class in the cafe. The food and coffee have great potential. The customer service is seriously lacking and there needs to be more attention to cleanliness in the place.Ive been served old, cold coffee and the service behind the counter can be hit or miss.

A wonderful and blessed community gathering place. Jayla was professionally and welcoming in the coffee shop. Joyce in the adjoining Carver Market was a fabulous spokesperson for the value of FCS in this area.

Great local place. The coffee and pastries are all quite solid, and the prices are very friendly. Great people, great environment. Sometimes it gets a bit loud with community events, or kids loitering (never thought Id actually use that word), but other than that its a great place to get work done.

Great local coffee joint. Friendly staff, damn good coffee, and a great place to hang. Despite being in a part of town that may not seem chic, Community Grounds attracts a very diverse clientele, and everybody seems friendly and happy. There is plenty of seating if you wanna pull out your laptop and work, or just sit and relax and do some serious people-watching.Did I forget to mention how good the coffee is? It is amazingly good. If theyre brewing it, my fave is their coffee named Dirty Nekkid Lady. If youre not from the South, you HAVE to say that with a twang. Aside from being funny, this coffee is sooo good I had to buy some beans to bring home.Last but not least, they have their own private parking lot.

Best hot chocolate in Atlanta. Chill place to hang out. Everything is reasonaly priced and well made.
