Popped into Buteco for a little respite after walking 4 miles along the Beltline the other day--a first time for both. Yum. Yum. Yum. Yum. That Brazilian Breakfast hit the spot. I had the refreshing Guava Mimosa but I need to go back for that lovely Paraiso Lento lavender drink. My good friend let me sip hers but I was ready to have my own after a nice taste.Oh yes. I will be back. In a car, and prepared to sit and just enough the ambience and music.
Buteco is a lovely little place! My partner and I got breakfast/brunch and coffee. The Bacon & Eggs (which is INSIDE a waffle) was great, and the guava jelly that came with it was amazing. Best of all? It was gluten free, and you couldnt even tell! It looked like about half the menu is gluten free. A bit on the pricier side, but its great for a cute date and gluten free & vegetarian friendly!
I frequent this excellent restaurant once a month since I enjoy the good air that is outline this restaurant. The team is exceptionally loyal and well trained. The service is extraordinarily quick. Most important, the food you eat is excellent. I visited many times and I was always delighted. The rate is honest. I suggest this place to to everybody.
The best spot in Atl if you crave Brazilian culture, food and people. Rafa the owner is a wonderful person and will make you fee home. He curates the musical experiences that you will find nowhere else. Don’t miss the roda de samba with a caipirinha and the sample platter.
Ok. Tell me that this picture is worth $40? Those are oranges, cilantro, a half serving of rice and a container of spices? This is supposed to be for two people meal. What do you think? I’m can’t lie and say I’m not disappointed. From this selection I see two dishes. How many do you see? We were left hungry and disappointed.
This relaxing and inviting coffee shop tucked away down Grant St. will have you wanting to coming everyday. From the quaint interior to the lively music selections to the cheese lined waffles you will feel right at home. The staff here are always friendly and ready to make recommendations on what they serve.
I ordered a plum iced tea and plain waffles. Omg, the waffles were so good! There wasnt enough to be a proper meal, but they were delicious and the jelly that came with them was good too. I wish I had more of those waffles right now lol. Ill definitely go back to try other food options. The service was good as well. Very sweet bartender/server.
Overcharged in confusion for a mixed drink (new staff?) but decided to let it be. They came out and fixed it anyway. Very kind people. Good atmosphere inside.
One of my favorite places to hang out. Superb staff. Great cocktails. You cannot find better music in Atlanta from samba to salsa to funk to forro.
Great food. Small space but decorations shows you a corner of brazil.
Love this spot! Landon and friends are my favorite band that plays here. The drinks are great too
My daughter and stopped by Buteco recently to check out their espresso offerings. First of all it’s a super cute place. Love the vintage Latin vibes! The decor is great! The inside is pretty cozy but they have plenty of space outside to enjoy your coffee, cocktail, or delicious food. Yes, they offer more than just coffee! On this trip I just order a Dirty Chai, which was wonderful. My daughter went for an Ice Chai Latte, which she gave 2 thumbs up. I’ll definitely be back to check out the rest of the menu!
Great Service. Good Food. Fun place.
Always good music & service. Yummy tapas style eats and best Chai tea latte in town.
Great little coffee/drink/food spot near the Beacon and Eventide Brewing. The coffee is on the expensive side ($3.50) but it’s a very good cup of coffee if you’re looking to spend a little bit more. Refills are only $1.50 if you’re into doing some work or hanging out there for a while. Very nice ambiance with jazz playing and football playing on the projector. There’s also some nice outdoor seating, too.
Absolute delight being there. Had the pleasure of being served by the owner Rafael and could not be more impressed. Its truly refreshing seeing someone take such care and passion into something theyre doing. The coffee was good (Intelligentsia) and the food was awesome. The tapioca tots and the quibe were perfect little bites for the start of our morning. I will definitely be going back to see the vibe at night.
Pricey cocktails in a cool setting. Their appetizers are amazingly delicious-if you get the opportunity you should definitely try them. I enjoy the intimate atmosphere because it is smaller. The bartender was so nice and attentive!Pictured are a classic Manhattan and their signature Kentucky Azul. Well made! Check them out when you get a chance!
Hot tip: their iced matcha lattes are awful. Unless you like chunks of undisolved, dry matcha powder floating in your drink. The drink no matcha flavor - tasted primarily like milk. I only came for a drink so I cant speak to anything else.
Great drinks, with fun music, and fries bites.
Sunday DJ was awesome! The breakfast food was a bit of a miss though. Would just go for ambiance and a drink. I’ll have to try the actual lunch or dinner menu at some time though.
Always a super clean and fun environment! The staff is great!!!!
My new happy place. Food is incredibly good, makes you want to book an one way ticket to Brasil 🇧🇷✨. Bartender drink are delicious and pack a punch, the Caipirinha and Paraíso Lento😋😋!!! The corn and cheese fritters and Vegetarian Feijoda are a party I your mouth with the amazing flavors.
Amazing ambience and vibe. Love the food and live music!!
Terrible experience, asked a traditional brazilian dish, moqueca, food was served cold, no tasty at all . Will not be back ! Do not recommend
Their crafted drinks are the bomb!!!
A Chic Place to sit outside and have a Cocktail and Nibbles, and watch the Live Entertainment
We have been here twice now. Once a few days before they opened, and yesterday. Typically, we drop by to get something to drink after doing some work at the local community garden. Personally, I really like the owner and the work he did to get this place opened. But that aside, this place is super pretty on the inside. From the metal encircled wooden tables and the cute chairs, the wooden shelves lined with pretty glasses and a ton of bottles, the metal tins that hold the metal spoons (nice to stir a coffee and not be wasteful), the cute metal milk containers, to the music and the screen projecting singers. This place really has a specific feel to it. Just one adoration, the little juice glasses you get with some drinks are so small (actually hold a decent volume) and pretty that it is hard to not take notice, even when you’re exhausted from the afternoon sun hacking away at giant weeds. There are plenty of draft beer choices, and a very big selection of beers in cans. The iced coffee I had was very good, but I haven’t tried any of their more complex options. However, as a benchmark, it is important that the simple things, like iced coffee, are made and served correctly. Also, there are plenty of juice drinks to choose from. I had an orange jigger and my wife got a mineral water with some lime juice on the side. Both had a very unique flavor that is not something you encounter in other places.I understand this place is going for an authentic Brazilian cafe feel, but I have no idea what that’s like cause I’ve not been to Brazil or experienced their food or drinks, but Buteco has good drinks and atmosphere so I’m interested to experience more. Also, there’s food, but we didn’t have the time to check those options out yet, but looking at the table next to ours, there was good looking food available.
This place is so cool. You can have a taste of Brazilian food, traditional drinks like caipirinha and acclaimed samba music, and still enjoy americano coffee or chicken & waffles. If you come for drinks, grow the courage and have a cachaça flight (cachaça is the liquor that goes into caipirinhas) to discover how different and rich they are. And music is always excellent so come with your dancing shoes on.
Great staff, kind kw er
Serving is small, I ordered their fish menu that only included 1 pc. of fish fillet in it, the rest was all soup and sauce. It was tasty, but the serving size is deceiving and not acceptable with the price. Seats are outside too and pets are allowed. It was an okay experience but wont go here again.
Been a favorite since day 1.
I went with my wife and had drinks and the cheese bread and chicken croquettes. The ambience was great. They were very polite and served everything pretty quick. The drinks were amazing. We will return to try their food sometime soon.
I was really excited to try this place, but, unfortunately, I was disappointed. The food is overpriced and the service is slow. I got the bratwurst sausage sandwich for $9. Not only did it take a very long time to receive my food, but my bratwurst was severely burnt. The replacement made it out in a much more timely manner, but was still underwhelming. The live music was pretty good though!
One of my favorite spots in atlanta. Excellent food, love the risoles, coxina, and pao de queijo waffles, but literally EVERYTHING here is good, you cant go wrong with anything in the menu! They also have great coffee and the best vibes at the beacon. Top notch spot right here!
Brazilian food at this location - excellent. staff treated us so kindly. bring your appetite because portions are generous. food is like a restaurant in louisville i loved.
Enjoyed a lovely Sunday afternoon taking in great vibes & great music!
Coffee was divine. Their cold brew was everything
My family really enjoyed the food an drinks. We will be back again.!!!
The cheese bread waffles with guava jelly are fantastic!
My preferred place for tasty Brazilian food. prices that wont break you. atmosphere is similar to a cafe in san jose i loved.
I really enjoyed coming here for last minute drinks and food. I would definitely go back.
Great experience and great people
Great staff! Plum iced tea refreshing
This is the best bar in ATL. if you need a work office, a place to listen to good music, eat the most delicious bites or have some high quality tap beer, this place is Buteco. It is a Brazilian inspired bar that offers the warmest Brazilian nights with samba music and traditional food. Don’t miss the opportunity of stopping by
Staff is great, service is great. Vibes are great if you’re looking for something with a weekend party atmosphere but not so loud you can’t have a conversation. Drinks are so-so. Very sweet (even the sour ones) so I don’t think we’ll be back. The little speakeasy hidden inside Beacon has awesome cocktails so we’ll probably go there instead next time we’re in that part of town.
Went on a very crowded Saturday, service was pretty terrible. But the food (chicken and waffles) was pretty great. I originally ordered a Passion Fruit cocktail along with 4 others, 30 minutes later after visiting the bar, they said they ran out of mix so recommended a drink which was tasty and came over with free shots after which was nice.I recommend t this place, just not when they’re having an event.
Wonderful vibe. Great service. Friendly staff. Dog friendly. Good coffee and delicious food!!
Love this new addition to the Grant Park area. The building is more spacious inside than it looks from the outside, but still very intimate. Huge multi-level outdoor covered seating area. Delicious coffee and cocktails (try an espresso old-fashioned or espresso martini...!) and great small bites.
The entrees we had (the feijoada tradicional and moqueca de peixa) were good and hearty, but the real winner of the day was the fried pao de queijo, fluffy bites of cheese bread with a light and creamy habenero dipping sauce. If you can handle a teensy bit of spice, you will not be sorry! Its a great treat on a warm summer day!
Great food and drinks
First time there. Neat space, restaurant / coffee bar on one side, music venue on another and deck / patio. Had a sampler platter. May not have ordered had written know everything was fried. All tasty and hot, just not the most healthy choice for us. Look forward to returning and trying something else!
Niche Brazilian coffee spot. Is cute, however is just small inside. Can get rather busy, so food may take some time to arrive - or just forgotten about honestly. Drinks are good, but still needs a more Brazilian flair of flavors. Went to their first live music night, so it was packed.
The cocktails here are good and sturdy for ya. If your visiting at night though I would eat somewhere first and then come here for drinks because they only serve tapas. Tapas just never does my stomach fulfilling justice :(
Food is amazing, the people are great and the environment is super chill and cozy. Try the Madre Mia drink, so delicious. 👍
Awesome atmosphere and very friendly staff. Unfortunately food prep times are very long. The waffles were very bland for what they were however the steaks and chicken were absolutley fantastic. Give it a shot. Especially if youve got the free time. The speed of service is just part of a new business.
Gluten free options that are awesome! Might not need to say more haha... But the idea of a savory waffle with cheese and meat is great and they nail it! Cocktails are on point too! Its a nice Latin variant from more common central American styles.
I love this place so much! I come here all the time for coffee and delicious eats, highly recommend. The atmosphere and staff is very pleasant.
Churros 👍Iced coffee 👍
We had a great time here. Food was outstanding and their drinks are unusual but delicious
Stunning. Wandered in out of curiosity; found a new favorite. Fantastic selection for spirit nerds, and even though they were crazy busy, the staff was super friendly and made great suggestions and conversation. Great vibes.
Bright little space for Brazilian favorites, coffees, and beers. Located on the edge of the Grant Park and Chosewood neighborhoods, its beltline adjacent location puts it nearby lots of other great shops and activities
Great hospitality. Gluten free items. Variety of great spirits and coffees. Very friendly! This place is a great place to gather. Wonderful music, too!
Eh I get it. Its a really nice location, the drinks were good, its filling a niche. I found it to be really expensive for what it was - this is a two drink maximum for what Im willing to spend on cocktails on a weeknight. Also I was in a group of three and each drink came out at a different time when we all ordered. By the time I got mine the first person in our group was done with it. Good caipirinhas and a nice location, but I dont think well be back.
A gorgeous coffee shop/bar with absolutely delicious small bites. Their weekly events are great as well! Im looking forward to more long-play album nights with Mike.
Cozy space with great variety of delicious tapas. Owner and server be leaving made a great experience even better. Eager to try coffee next time. Will definitely be back!
There was not enough sitting for the patrons with a live concert that was planned. Then the manager or owner stopped a Black Woman from going inside as she was standing and wanted to purchase drinks since she was not at a table. But a group of tipsy white group kept going in and out and didnt get anything said to them. That detoured me from ordering anything as I was going to go inside and eat at the bar. I was standing also. The best part was the performer, Clarence Jones. He is the reason for the two stars. Parking is terrible and then there is a cow pasture that smells up the street. That was the reason why I didnt want to eat outside.
Uber eats order was trash. Two lunch “specials” which consisted of 2 small pieces of meat and a ton of un-edible rice and beans. Bean soup was just hot bean water. The free item was a nice idea but didn’t taste good either. The only thing we could finish was the iced coffee. I felt like i just spent $50 on nothing. Based on reviews, it looks like in-dining is better, but this was so disappointing, i won’t try this place again.
Its my neighborhood bar. What more can you say? Great food. Great people. Great drinks. Great atmosphere. Great music.
Super fun Samba night! Music was great. Drinks are amazing and authentic!
Incredible drinks and food. With some of the best live music in the city.
AMAZING! Authentic brazilian food with such great atmosphere. The owners are the most genuine people. Thanks for bringing a much needed Brazilian spot to the city. We’ll definitely be back.
More than a coffee shop, also a bar and a eclectic food selection for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Just recently opened in the Beacon shopping center. Friendly staff and easy parking. Good assortment of pastries as well.
I really like the Brazilian flavor of this cute spot hidden away in Grant Park. Perfect for a first date or hanging out with friends. They even allow you to use the turntable on a number of albums you can select from. I didnt try any of the food but had a wonderful chai latte. Go enjoy!
We’ve been late mornings and food is excellent as well as the coffee and service! Relaxing environment.
Everything there is perfect! Music, people, employees... The food and drinks are AMAZING! My fav place in Atl
Pretty good little coffee, snack and cocktail place. I believe that they will become a five-star place after a few more months of being open. I will recommend the Bloody Mary. It was extremely good. Obrigado Buteco! We will be back!
Buteco is a great little spot in the Grant Park/Peoplestown area. Located in the up and coming Beacon development they serve up authentic Brazilian fare with a full bar and coffee options for those who dont drink. Check out their schedule for live music and other events!
