The customer service is seriously lacking. I assume they receive the majority of their business from contractor referrals so their Google reviews are insignificant, nonetheless I feel compelled to give them a one-star review. I understand that companies make mistakes, but the lack of follow through to make things right is where they really failed. My attempts at resolution have been ignored. This company irreparably damaged my hardwood floors, never apologized and refuses (with their silence) to adjust the delivery fee as some compensation for their mistake.
This place was awful. I purchased 2 electron fireplaces from here. Their field manager “Rick” was the worst. He barely responded to me and acted like I annoyed the hell outta him. He barely acknowledged me or my order. I had to chase him down for everything and then he ordered the wrong fireplace, that my handyman had already installed before I knew. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone for anything. I got the impression that I was a little to brown for his comfort level. Awful customer service!!!!
This place is the worst, they are nonresponsive and all they care about is the sale. What ever you do dont deal with Rick he sucks. The should be put out of business. They deserve less than a 1 star.
Honestly, this company has THE WORST customer service Ive ever experienced. The order we placed with the company was incorrect, and I have spent almost a year trying to correct it. I understand mistakes happen, but their lack of accountability and communication on this is unacceptable. I have emailed and called - even asked to speak to the manager on multiple occasions (the manager never called me back) - and NOTHING. Go anywhere else in Atlanta to buy appliances - not here. They are horrible to work with.
These people are the worst, three years ago I purchased seven fireplaces for a new home. Last year one of them failed and they called Them. They sent a tech who quoted me about $1000 worth of parts and said that all the fireplaces were out of warranty. I agreed and they came to fix the fireplace six weeks later, with improper parts. This year I called them to come and service another fireplace, and they basically referred me to another company. Truly pathetic.
The guys that came to install where quick in and out. when they finally got here. not saying its there fault at all. I know they probably dont make their own schedules and im sure they have to deal with customer frustration all the time. my problem is that they first said they would be there from 10-2 then at 2:18 we had to call them to find out it would be there between 4-5. ultimately they got here at 530. having to wait 7 hours is bad enough, at least keep the customer in the loop.
I was planning to visit BSI next week to purchase appliances for my new home, but glad I read these reviews! You guys seem to have major issues needing serious overhaul! No one wants to spend money where they are treated badly. Ur hurting yourselves guys, wake up!
My husband and I are building a house and are in the market for an entire appliance package. We visited the showroom last week specifically to look at their Dacor appliances. We were probably the first clients of the day and were greeted by the receptionist eating her breakfast. We asked for the dacor and she just pointed and said its to the right. We walked around and were probably in there for a good 25-30 minutes. Not a single person acknowledged us and asked us if we needed help/ask questions and there were at least 4-6 people working there. I am also in luxury retail and cant imagine not greeting someone properly and educating them on the product you are selling.
Great team of at BSI! I am on my third renovation project and very pleased with their product and service.
The builder of my home used BSI to install a gas fireplace. At the one year service the blower for the unit did not function. A service tech was dispatched and noted that the fireplace was not wired correctly by the original installer. They left with the unit apparently working. At the next annual inspection of the unit two gas leaks were found, AND an incorrectly wired electrical connection. Neither the original tech, nor the second service tech from BSI noticed. The lack of care during the installation could have very plausibly burned down my house. I am in the process of trying to fix the issue with another installer. I had contacted BSI to let them know about the problem. However, the person I reached via phone noted, they had been told by management not to schedule service calls for items older than one year. They also noted that I had a very serious problem and needed to find someone that would look into it ASAP.
Bad experience.i had a quote from the Buckhead show room store for fireplace logs and remote controller at $998. i was told to go the Norcross Wearhouse to pick it up. It took me an additional 40 minutes to get there. when i got there i was met by an grumpy old men that told me the price was $1120. needless to say i decided to shop somewhere else. i purchase the same logs and remote at Mad Hatter at a better price. i was met by a very courteous employee. everyone there was professional and very polite. i highly recommend Mad Hatter!!! And if i had the option i would not even give 1 star to Builder specialties at 761 miami circle, atlanta.
Wonderful showroom with amazing and knowledgeable staff!
I had a scheduled appointment with this company for about 1 1/2. I received a call the day off stating they were cancelling my appointment with no explanation. The lady was rude and had a matter of fact attitude. This was such a waste of time.
Saved so much money thanks Jim
