Good times at an IKEA subtly altered for post-Covid life: masks are required and utensils in the restaurant are wooden or plastic, for example. And the Bistro where frozen yogurt is sold is closed until further notice π. Otherwise, aside from the miles of walking, a fun family time had by all.
People in the furniture section were helpful. However, Ikea did not show proper stock online. The store was unorganized, so be careful of the item you pick. Check the actual item number. The shelf has queens and king bed parts mixed up, colors too. I think pay pandemic, it has been challenging to get things in stock, but overall a good store.
Ikeaaaaa is always my fav shops. We have been to multiple locations of ikea in NJ and the Atlanta IKEA looks and feels the same . Only issue is - itβs in the city / downtown. So there is always traffic when going to this ikea. I wish they built this in some suburbsβ¦Parking is good. Lots of space. As always, the dining/bedroom/ living room furnitures are good and easy to pick. I also love the lighting/ marketplace / kitchen / paintings etc .not too expensive and very good products. We got a foyer table this time .. customer service could be better . There is no one around to help..Food was Average. It was cheap but the taste wasnβt that good. Cake was goood though. It was OK overall.Furniture pickup was outside the shop. We had no idea, and had to bring our car outside to pick our foyer table. Service was slow. Took them 15-25 mins to deliver our products.Overall - it was an average experience.. we still love ikea. One of our fav shops β¦
Must wear a mask in the store. Store is always a neat place to visit. Inventory appears to be low. The bistro is closed (near exit), but the restaurant is open.
This place does offer variety of things but donβt expect to find everything you looking for in stock. Will have to go a few times to find the item in stock. The food is good with very reasonable price. I had a veggie hot dog for the first time and was decent. Also, store is very organized but I would recommend they have better system that keeps track of the inventory accurately. My 2nd time going to the store to find out, the furniture is actually out of stock.
IKEA is an experience all in of itself. You can have a Swedish lunch then peruse through the maze of room displays. Its always so much fun. Great prices and good.
Even just to look inside, IKEA is one of the best places to visit! From their affordable prices to their great staff, this is definitely the place to visit for good home items and to get inspiration for your home. I bought the βRΓ₯shultβ cart and a pullout desk. Both are very sturdy and easy to assemble while being a great price! Not only this, but their self grab system is very convenient. Once you look around and find the items you want, you take a picture of the tag and go to the self grab area; there you will find your items by looking at the aisle and bin number, then checkout. I will definitely be visiting again for more items!
Easy in, easy out. Seems like they are short-staffed, as the check out linea were very long. Go, beat the line. Didnt seem as clean and well-kept as I remember.
Ikea is the best at finding simple but innovative solutions to your home furnishings. Plus you get their famous meatballs when you come in.
Good in general but most a lot of the furniture was marked temporary unavailable.β Then when finally picking items that were marked available in the showroom, then ended up being unavailable at the pick up area. A couple hours wasted. Was simply trying to get a decent desk with the glass top like they used to have? Cant seem to find one in Atlanta available within a month. Also, seems the range of furniture quality has gone down over the years, catering only to cheaper furniture now, instead of mid-range styles as well.
Good selection of products and interesting to walk around and look but products are frequently not in stock we have returned to different times to find a mirror, but both times not available. Also there are never enough staff on the returns department we have stopped by twice and both times had to wait 30 minutes.
Very helpful associates. I ordered my item in store & it was ready for pickup in less than 30minutes. Pick up reps Jewel & Vontrice (I hope I got it right) were very helpful. I was afraid my items wouldnt fit & they reassured me they would. They even helped load it in the car due to me being pregnant & not able to lift heavy items. Thanks ladies, you were the MVPs of my store experience.
Great new home ideas awaits!Great selection of home goods and furniture.Curtain, bedding, pillows galore!Shelving awaits, need kitchen ideas they have someone to help design your new space.Want to create a 650sqft living space with kitchen bedroom and common area they have it!Gotta take a look and they even deliver!
I went there for a stylist low cost shoe rack, having worked over 10 hours my feet didnt want walk the store. I used the returns door and then the self help kiosk. Luckily, my item was located on the shelf nearby. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes using the self checkout... my tired legs thanked me. The IKEA were the best looking and lowest price I could find.
Itβs not anyoneβs fault why this IKEA is constantly out of stock of their awesome products. Everyone is always buying them! (Especially the baby/childrenβs items). The Bistro is delicious, clean and open! The team members of Atlanta are welcoming and kind.
What is customer service?I dont know. But youll definitely not find it here.
I am always amazed at their ability to put so many rooms together in such a small space!Great layouts, fabulous ideas, cool productsIt is like you can walk in and choose your room sitting right in front of you.
Though itβs a long drive, itβs always worth it. The store was clean and really organized even though there were a TON of people there. The checkout attendant was really polite and seemed to really enjoy their job. I was sad the sharks were unavailable even though they showed up as in stock.
Love IKEA products and concept. Long time customer super familiar with the brand. 5-star in-store experience, 1 star online shopping process. For shipping, no tracking and use horribly unreliable shippers. Click and collect is a complete mess. Staff doesnβt enforce the process with impatient and self-important customers. As such, Iβve been β#1 in Lineβ for the last 35 minutes and watched every Karen and Keith in existence drive straight up to the loading door and get their products loaded while I continue to honor the process and wait. If youβre interested in what you should be doing: Park in the spots with the blue signs, scan your QR code & complete the form, then wait to receive your Order is Ready text before pulling up to the loading zones. Staff, if you canβt enforce these simple instructions, youβre only hurting yourself as youβll have nothing but entitled angry customers jamming up your loading door. Or the occasional loyal customer choose to pay a little more to Amazon to avoid the Lord of Flies level jockeying just to pick up a product theyβve already paid for. Ridiculous.
Ikea is awesome, but like many retailers, theyve been having stock issues in 2021. Lots of stuff is in stock, but plenty of variations of items arent. Some things that show online and in the employee app as being in stock just plain arent (very Walmart of you, Ikea) and even the regular Swedish meatballs were out this time, leaving only chicken and veggie balls. Other than temporary issues, Ikea is a great place to get kitchen items (cookware, utensils, glassware, plates and bowls, storage and more), beyond just the furniture theyre most known for.
It was our first time here and it was quite a good experience. It was a little bit of a hassle having to locate merchandise but worth it for the prices they have. If youve never been to IKEA, I recommend going early and expect to be there a while only because there is so much great merchandise to choose from.
A mainstay for affordable home goods. I do fell trapped when shopping there. Theres no easy way to bail out with waking the entire store
Sunday early afternoon visit to IKEA. The store was busy I could not walk a straight line. Shelves were looking a bit bare compared to previous visits. Everyone was wearing masks. They had both of the self checkout areas open (12 items or less) and several others with cashiers open. Line to checkout was long but moved fast.I ate in the cafe, line was very long and no one distanced themselves while waiting in the cafeteria line. The people behind me were so close I had to ask for space. BUT the cafe has sanitize wipes everywhere. All food was served on disposable plates, cups, utensils.Parking is on-site and free.Advise parking on Level 1, aisle C or D are closest to the entrance.Apple & Google pay accepted.IKEA does not provide bags.Eat first, then shop or else youβll have to take your purchases to your car first. There is not a place to park your cart while you eat.Showroom and cafe is upstairs.Itβs not obvious but you can skip the showroom and go directly to the marketplace. At the 1st floor entrance, past the showroom escalator, there is a door you can cut thru by the kids play area that take you directly to the marketplace. There are carts back there to grab as well.
I love this store. I purchased the Songesand wardrobe and I absolutely love it. The furniture at this store has to be put together at home and the instructions are pictures only (No words). It took my husband and I two hours to put together this wardrobe. I didnt like the handles that came with the wardrobe so I bought new cabinet handles on Amazon.
Good for home related item shopping. Good quality in lower budget. You can get every thing from tiny thing to bigger product. Also they have variety. Some times they have deal in furniture, kitchen supplies and many more.. wait for it if possible for you. Some times due to rush product will be out of stock
I frequent here as live close by and this store never seems to be fully stocked on items they keep on display. The lack of ventilation in here during a pandemic with a high traffic on the weekends is also alarming. You can smell people others bodily odors. Michael was very knowledgeable and made some suggestions of where else to find rugs due to the constant lack of inventory. He himself gets 5 star for keeping such a flawless rug section in this store.
Had nothing in stock, despite it saying on the website that they had the items. There were no carts available anywhere, neither in the entrance nor the warehouse. The kid guarding aisle 28 was more interested in his phone than helping anybody. There were hundreds of carts in the parking lot. What happened to this place?? Six hours total driving for this circus.
Super clean and friendly staff. Took off a star solely based on the app inventory is wrong and the items I actually went to the store for were actually sold out.
I absolutely love this place.... I always make a point to stop in the cafΓ©. The plant based meatballs were really yummy. The only things I dislike about this place is.... I always leave with more than what I set out for. πππ
Great prices, location is only one In Atlanta so itβs very crowded. Things werenβt always durable and long lasting compared to 15+ years ago but still great. Store is Hot humid super crowded with 50 people deep in checkout lines but lines move fast, 20 minutes or so. We love the as-is section to the right of checkout, most things are 30% off original prices, mostly all returned or display items.
IKEA has def struggled with supply chain issues, 2020 was excusable but this late in 2021 they should be ramping back up to full operation. Disappointed that the downstairs cafe was closed with no reopening date.
I love ikea. But the lack of stock in this store really makes the trip disappointing. We live about 2 hours drive away. So not being able to pick up half our shopping list is quite disheartening.
With the app and the online store everything was really easy to find. They had a great selection with great prices, and displayed everything beautifully. However, when I entered the warehouse I was unable to find a normal shopping cart or a flat cart.I looked throughout the majority of the downstairs floor in hopes to find a one with no luck. I asked another customer where they found their cart and informed me they got theirs from the checkout area from another customer. I relocated to the checkout area, and saw some employees I was hoping to ask for some assistance. They were in what looked to be a restricted area. I stood behind the yellow and black line painted on the floor and made eye contact with a few employees. After doing this for about 5 minutes, I proceeded beyond the line to attempt to ask a question only to be shooed out. After a very short discussion with that same worker, they passed off one of their flat carts that they had in the room. While my shopping experience was great, the customer service aspect was not. I got a great deal on some furniture, and I will be returning in the future. But I hope my experience goes smoother next time.
Our family spent 4 hours walking the path and trying to find items to furnish our childrens bedrooms, baths, along with accessories for the kitchen and laundry room only to find out that the majority of the stuff we jot down with help from your associates were not in stock or at where they are supposed to be in their specific aisles and bins .. very frustrating to have wasted an entire day because we cant tell what is available and what is out of stock in the floor .. the only thing that saved this review from a 1 star are your associates so reward them handsomely to reward their efforts
I mean, its IKEA!! How can you NOT love it?! The prices alone make it worth it. It was clean, and smelled pleasant. The bathroom was also clean. That gets points in my book. My only negative would be the hot dog. That thing was nooooooot good. I guess for $1.00 you cant really complain though, right? Lol
My daughter loves this store. It was my first time there and I must say I was very impressed. They have tons of things, unique and good quality qt a reasonable price. Very well organized and I especially liked their room displays.
Agree with so many others commenting on the changes at the store over the past 18-24 months. Inventory is a mess in the warehouse. Reported stock in the computer rarely matches what you find on the shelf. You really just have to go hunt on your own to find what you are searching for and are lucky to find it if you do.
The showrooms are well put together and a fun way to find what you want to buy. However, there is no way to tell which of those items is actually in stock. It is incredibly frustrating to spend so much time looking through the rooms to find furniture you like, only to go downstairs and realize 4/5ths of what you selected isnt even in stock. As long as this problem isnt solved, the whole store will be inefficient and annoying to shop at.
I usually love IKEA but this time I managed to get out of there under 30 minutes. I found it to be empty and most of the furniture damaged with chip and missing paint. I didnt find one thing that I like and once I got to the bottom and no cinnamon rolls I was really done. IKEA needs some help Yall!
Love this place!! Brought my Husband for his first time...he loved it too!! Found some great ideas for remodeling our home and will be back for the deals!!
Still waiting for my products and I never received it in the first delivery. Was suppose to get a phone call back from someone at the store never got a call from anyone there... I would recommend others to shop their products because it is affordable but if they are going to not keep their word when it comes to services after being paid for then I would not recommend shopping here. I would have to tell others to shop else where... still waiting for someone to pick up the phone I have been on hold for almost 2 hours.... poor services needs to be a better system including when it comes to the store as well they need to provide a number to the store
Amazing place! My friend and I went here to refurnish our apartments and spent several hours admiring all of the various available items! Justin and Krystal were excellent and really helped us out a lot! The fact that the items were not assembled is the only reason we were able to fit everything in my car!
Great place to find furniture and storage. I know it has a bad reputation in some circles, but one can find real gems. There are many real wood options as well which should last a long time.
Great fun to shop here. But just a piece of free advice...if you see it and like it...BUY IT! Otherwise you may never see it again. Seems like some items we saw and wanted but thought oh, well grab those next time have always been out of stock. Popular stuff goes quickly. Good values and cool items. Check it out and eat some meatballs while youre there.
Nice visit. Several items out of stock buts thats expected due to covid. Hugh site. Good customer service.
Of the several pieces of furniture we went to buy, all of which were shown as in stock online and in the showroom, only ONE was actually in stock. And these were basic dressers, desks and chairs.I understand lots of industries are having shortages of material and manufacturing, but Ikea ought to work on letting people know what is in stock.
Love the restaurant up top and amazing selection
The restaurant is open and oh my goodness the meatballs are so good. You must dip them in the gravy and the cranberry sauce cause the two together is so tasty. My friend and I did the walk around the store after we ate and the stuff they have is so cute. I had a good experience in there today. Go there, eat there, then do the walk through, you will have a nice time. The staff in there were nice and knowledgeable about their products.
The hype is real! What a fantastic place. We went looking for potential baby beds and left with several pieces. Unfortunately, many items were out of stock and we have been waiting months for them to be restocked. The issue: once they are restocked you can order for delivery which is VERY costly or order for pick up within 2 days. Considering the drive is a couple hours one way, itβs very difficult to arrange a week day pick up. Soβ¦ we have a half furnished nursery and are almost at panic point. Notes: No, donβt go an hour early to get in line. 15 minutes is plenty. The meatballs were ehhh, one person in our party enjoyed the gravy.
We visited Ikea after a long time. Good furniture and home organization items as usual. We did take some home planning help. It was helpful but it was with a bit rushed. Most people were wearing masks which was good.
So much better then last time we were there. Not too crowded.
Love IKEA. I always come in knowing exactly what I want so I go straight to the marketplace. Yes, the checkout lines are longer due to COVID (the lines are long regardless). And no the cafeteria and snack bar arenβt open. I spent around 30 mins in line. They also have ample stations too keep your cart and hands clean (though some were broken). Overall itβs best to come early during the week!
I love the store but items arent listed correctly on the site. Online it says in stock and I drive a far distance for that item to be completely out of stock. Please update this.
We really enjoyed this place. Best thing is the diversity of people that shop there. I felt like i was in NYC. LOVE IT!!
Nicely built furniture and goods that are reasonably priced. While they must be assembled, directions are fairly clear and not too difficult to follow, although it can take a couple of hours to put together.CafΓ© food is tasty and cheap.Lines can be quite long on the weekends.
Havent visited atl Ikea in quite awhile. Was very disappointed in lack of items in stock. Checked website before going to make sure certain items were there. Asked in store and associate said their system shows items on shelf. So no one is updating their inventory system, either in store or online. I did get several lidded glass food storage containers very reasonably.
Even when they get slammed weekends they will still process the line fairly quickly. Great selection, great prices, very nice staff. Unfortunately there are some employees that do not wear masks. So beware if you are unvaccinated or are high-risk.
A good place to get every single types of furniture you need. Also provided with a nice place for dine in.
Massive for sure. A ton of mediocre furniture and not a lot in stock. We also waited 20 minutes just to get a cart. We did run into one of their employees that was great. I wish i had his name. It will be what you expect. Disney world chaos.
I LOVE LOVE LIVE IKEA! I went there and almost lost my mind. Good thing I went there with a list and a very impatient guy friend or I wouldve been in big trouble and broke. There was a very helpful, knowledgeable and PATIENT young lady that helped me from start to finish; Carol you are AMAZING and beautiful; YOU ROCK!Unfortunately the mirror I got and was drooling for was broken when I got it out of the box but IKEAs customer service helped a lot with informing that I have a whole year from the date of purchase to refund or trade for a new one. I will be trading cause that mirror is awesome. Thanks IKEA for being my new addiction.
Always a good experience. Only took off a star bc they didnβt have one of the basic items we needed, and their cafe wasnβt open (both covid related, but unfortunate). We like about 2 hours away and enjoy the excuse to go to ATL and Ikea! We brought our young daughter and the staff was kind and didnβt mind her to play with the furniture, even encouraged us... which was nice bc you didnβt feel like your little wasnβt welcome or wanted! They of course have EVERYTHING for your house, yard, etc!
Had a bunch of really nice and unique things to buy, unfortunately none of them were in stock! For sure a disappointment, but we will most probably be ordering some things from online. Still a wonderful experience getting to shop here since there isnt one close to where we live! Try the food court!
IKEA stores have always been one of my favorite place to shop, but this particular one is not my favorite. They had very limited stock and staff, when I visited there. A little disappointed.
Since COVID-19, the in store experience has been disappointing to say the least. I drive 40 minutes to the nearest location downtown. I check my items online before I make the trip, only to get there and the donβt even have the stuff in stock. They had no wooden clothing hangers. The full size malm bed with 4 drawers. They advertised that they had it, but they did not have the drawers and the back order is they 10/25. I went online and paid $50 extra for shipping and ordered everything I needed and couldnβt find in the store. Donβt waste you time
9 June 2021. Entered 11AM.Not enough checkouts open at 12 PM. Do self checkout.Get a shopping cart or hand truck from the P 1 level. Employee is stacking thousand carts there. DIY furniture - one level up, go left, walk through checkout.Tableware, pots/pans further in. For the adventurous, the labyrinth one level above, checkout.
Easily the most enjoyable shopping experience Iβve ever had at any store in America. Imagine going through a museum of modernist furniture design, then discovering in the gift shop that everything you saw could be purchased. The cafeteria was superb as well. Honestly the best deal on lunch anywhere in midtown Atlanta. Canβt wait to go back.
I bought some new furniture for my daughters room a couple weeks ago. The store is overcrowded, it takes forever to check out and the staff isnβt that helpful. Flash forward, the desk I bought was missing parts. I called the customer service number, they said I have 2 options; I can go to the store and see if they will give me a part to replace the missing ones or i can wait 4-6 weeks for parts to be shipped to me. If I went to the store it would be a 4 hour adventure and there is no guarantee I will be taken care of. The CSR said there is no way to expedite the order. To add insult to injury, they are shipping standard USPS with no tracking available. This will be my last purchase at IKEA.
I went to pick up some plants but they were just about all gone. I did get my elderberry juice. One of my favorite stores!!
Ronnie from the Kitchen Planning section was patient, informative, and fun. He really helped us go from a blank slate to solid plan for our kitchen renovation. He knows his stuff and deserves a raise!!
Came here looking for several furniture items. I picked out 6 different things I wanted, confirmed on the computer that 5 out of 6 were stocked, one even saying there was 17 in stock. I left with 1 and only item they had in stock. Employees couldnt give any real answer as to why there stock was off, or offer any help in trying to help me find all their products that were supposed to have been there.
What a wonderful store! Ikea of Atlanta is like a tiny little neighborhood. All of their displays are set up like a small home and you can really see all of the different ways that you can use the furniture. The food court is GREAT and the prices are pretty good too. The store is absolutely MASSIVE so it is best to come on the weekend or If you have 2 or more hours to spend in a mega store. You should watch your children very carefully and pay attention to the little arrows on the floor to help you find your way out. There are also little shortcut doors to help you quickly get to other parts of the store. The furniture is really nice and I love the names they give the furniture pieces as well! All in all, Ikea is a great store to go to when you have free time on you hands or when you need to cuddle up on a Ikea showroom couch while nibbling on your Ikea Swedish Meatballs!
Furniture not bad but you have to be able to get it to like it. They need to sort out their supply chain and have better connectivity to their online store which needs some UX help and would be nice to just work when you need it to.
Nice place but super busy. Try to get here at opening if you really want a great experience.
This store is not very efficient for pick-up order. Instructions are not very clear. If you dont ask they will not tell you more or if you ask more they will not be very helpful. I hope customer service is reading all the comments. I like IKEA products alot but definitely not the service here at Atlanta.
IKEA Store is what you expect it to be; HOWEVER, do NOT order from them online. Take your money elsewhere.I placed an order April 2020, it arrived May 2020 upside down and box opened, and 5 items were completely shattered, and 1 was missing. Ive emailed IKEA, attempted to call the store and corporate to no avail. Finally, made my way to store in person, where they took my information down, and said someone would call me. It has been a week now. No call.Take your online order elsewhere, even if it means Amazon, at least with Amazon, returns/refunds are easy, and delivery is faster.
This IKEA was a little challenging to find, but we were able to reach our destination with the help of Google Maps. I needed help locating a few items in the store. There were employees available to help each time. The store was nice and clean. A few of the displays were under construction, but overall everything looked nicely kept.UPDATE: The breakfast at the cafe is great! They start serving breakfast at 9:30 and coffee is free until 10am! Thereβs lots of seating and great views of Atlanta.
I normally would give Ikea a 5 star but the last few times I have been there it has been crazy. The store just seems in disarray. But for a big box store it has good prices on home items.
Needs more staff. Dining area closed at 530..supposed to be open until 6pm. Then the snack bar section does not have a cashier at. all. The plan was to eat there then shop. So we had to rush home since we were hungry.
Im disappointed with the online pickup service. I got a short order with no explanation and had to bring it to 3 different employees until it was resolved. Do better.
