The employees at Matlock were very friendly, professional, & honest. I usually dont write reviews, but these guys absolutely deserve it! Ive never had a better experience getting my car worked on than I have with them and from now on, I will always go to them. I recently purchased a car that had been modified and lowered. I spent 3 weeks looking for a service station that could help me get an oil change without tearing up my undercarriage. Great place to get your car serviced. Friendly people and good customer service. The only thing I would suggest is they have someone clean the lobby and bathrooms more often. But really thankful they have a place for kids to play and comfortable chairs to sit in.

I am in town from Florida visiting my son. I woke up to a tire that was half flat. My son recommended Matlocks. I went in without calling and the plugged my tire and it only took 10 minutes. And the price was $15. I would highly recommend going here.

Just a few days before leaving for vacation, I found some wild construction materials stuck in my new tires. Luckily, I was able to stop by Matlock and they removed the objects from my tire, plugged it, and I was on my way in less than an hour! Plus, they were very nice and had a spacious area to wait for my service to be complete without being huddled in a tiny room.

There was an issue with the wrong tires being put on the front of the truck. The lady that wrote up my order was very apologetic and the issue was quickly resolved. In all my times coming to them this is the only issue I have ever had and it was a minor on. Overall I am very satisfied

They took the time to make sure everything was alright with my car. Unfortunately I had to go back due to a faulty sensor, however they made sure all was well and reordered the part. I travel often through TN on I-75, and on this trip my battery light came on. Took the nearest exit which was in Athens, TN and shut down the engine. Called AAA to arrange a tow and they recommended the nearby Matlock Tire Service & Auto Repair. Entire staff was friendly & professional and they replaced my alternator at a fair price and got me back on the road in about 2 hours after arriving.

Had to get tires put on plus oil change in one van and oil change and tire rotation in the other van. Workers were professional and courteous. Work didnt take too long, all done in an hour and a half. Well done.

Jon and Greg are honest. They could have done a full brake job and charged me for it but instead found a minor problem fixing it. Jimmy was the first person I talked Jon set up the service and Greg did the work, all three good people.

Arrived in Athens, TN, to find I was losing air in my right rear tire... a nail had gone straight through my sidewall! Called Matlock, they located a tire, had it shipped in. When the tired arrived they gave me a call, and had it done in an hour. Great folks, friendly to all!

Twice I’ve gone to Matlock with a bad tire on my older used auto and twice I was given a great deal on what I needed! They always treat me like I’m their favorite customer and never try to “up-sale” me something I don’t need. They are open early so I can come by before work and get on with my day. The lobby is one of the cleanest I’ve seen and every one is busy getting thing done, not just putting in their time. I would highly recommend going to Matlock!

I had just moved here from Arizona about a year ago and I had a leak in the radiator and called and they said I could bring my truck in to see what needed to fixed. I told them it had to be either the radiator or a hose that attaches to the radiator. They took my truck into one of the bays and a repair person came back about 15 minutes later and said that the the radiator needed to be replaced as the area where the hose attaches couldnt be fixed, just needed a new radiator so I said go ahead and do it. Left the truck at the shop and they had it done that same day, so I said I would pick it up the next morning. Love working with this shop and its employees. Couldnt ask for better. I will recommend them to anyone who needs a reliable auto shop to go to.

Matlock Tire Service and Auto Repair is the only place that has EVER serviced my car because of their honesty. Being a woman, I don’t know much about vehicles so when my husband and I went to them a couple of years back (oil change paid $30) verses ($70) for the high tech oil, we knew that they were keepers. From oil changes to tires and any service needed, these guys ALWAYS save us money and I will remain a loyal customer.

Was told repaired tire ready in approximately 2 hours. When ready would call. Came back after nearly 2 hours and sat at high top in main showroom. After an hour decided to leave, told clerk would try another day, started rolling my tire and noticed it was fixed. Went back in and said did you fix my tire. Reply yes. I said no one told me. Clerk replied didn’t know you were here. I said well I’ve been sitting right there in plain site. No reply given. Paid my $20 and left. Weird all around experience.

My ton truck needed rear brakes. I also had wheel cylinders and axle seals relaced while axles were out. All work was completed on time and is working great.

Well... Considering someone else bought a used tire and got it put on for 35 while I had my tires and it was 25 plus 5 environment fee (which I didnt leave my tires there). So, that doesnt make sense....

This place and the workers here are fantastic! They helped us and didnt let us down. Came in for one thing to find out it was a whole other issue. They worked with us and fit us in. Outstanding to say the least.
