While in search of a difficult to find faster, this store had what I need on the shelf, but what is also easy to find is poor customer service with a confrontational twist. I called this location before arriving and the staff who addressed my concerns and confirmed what was needed is an excellent example of customer service. There is an employ there who I think, either had too many energy drinks or received tainted tattoo ink, was the least bit appropriate with loudly and emphatically stating he was not the person I spoke with as I inquired upon entering the the store. Although assisting another customer, when he made eye contact, the simple inquiry was made. “Excuse me and after apologizing to customer, “were you whom I spoke with on the phone?” This is when he responded with the least amount of tactfulness. He then returns and addresses me as “boss” sarcastically. I object firmly with a few forceful tone words, then when he got the idea and that’s when graciously appeared a man with understanding. One Dollar spent and that was with a $.07 tip, but I was reminded of so much more. I will continue to be extra kind to all those I meet, but I will never allow this Ace Hardware hardware store on Park Row feel the bottom of my feet.

They always have what I need but customer service is non-existent. If I need help I am better off searching on my phone what aisle is the part I need. Staff is hardly walking around and checking on customers. I would give it a better rating if CS was a little more alive. But its the only Ace Hardware in the area so you got to give and take.

They are great. The staff is always super helpful and friendly. Never been there and they dont have what I need. Great prices

One of the best places to shop for plumbing fittings. I generally go to Home Depot, but the sizes are different. some different types of items, that I need are not available at Home Depot. Ace HardWare store is the best option. Very convenient.

Old school, Ace Hardware store with friendly and helpful staff. Prices are good and they have just about eveything you need for plumbing, hvac, and electrical repairs. This is my go-to, when something breaks and I need parts quick.

Needed to pick up some screws and stuff to try and fix our fence door. They have a pretty good selection. Hopefully we found the right thing. It was busy today. Running a skeleton crew before the holiday. The phone was ringing off the hook. Ill post some pix, just in case yall need to know what kind of stuff they got. 🙂

Great hardware store. Very warm and welcoming. A little over priced but sometimes thats ok.

First time visit. All floor employees were occupied with other customers. Was able to find my item in a relatively short time. Cashier was courteous. Overall, the store was clean with normal signs of customer traffic.

Have never had any problems with this store. Always good service here.

I rented a carpet cleaner from them it was easy to rent and check back in affordable price and I like it here yes I will come back here when I need something for the house or for a job I need to do

Very small and cramped. Seems outdated. Friendly and helpful staff. I went here because the one I normally go to in Mansfield was closed. I would go here again, but I prefer the one in Mansfield because its more open and bright and seems cleaner.

My store for everything not groceries. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable employees. Never takes long too get in, get it, and get out. I walk in, they say hello how can we help you? I tell them what I need, they take me to it; if I have questions, they give good answers. I recently had a key made as I was leaving. If you dont see it ask; maybe its in the back.

I just had the most wonderful experience at the Park Row Ace Hardware. I found the product online and the closest store for pickup was not really close to me, but worth the drive. The people who helped me provided excellent customer service. I even shopped some more and found some other perfect items that I had on my list. Im a happy customer.

Walked in to get a key and stood in front of 2 employees chatting almost a minute. Older lady with white shirt hair and a man wearing a usa flag mask. Neither asked if I needed help which I clearly did since I was standing in front of them at the register. I said good morning neither replied. I said I need a key the man than said give it to me. He made me the key didnt even ask which kind of key I wanted since there is color options which I preferred to have he just made it and gave it back to me. I said thank you and he said uhum.. not your welcome not is there anything else you need just plain rude both of them Id give a zero if it was allowed!

Always helpful and kind. Informative. Grew up with this as our neighborhood hardware store and they have had things that I didnt think they would have besides some of the unique things they stock at different times. Arlington Hardware is what its called. Park Row Ace Hardware is NOT what its called and you do it an injustice to call it anything but Arlington Hardware. Thats whats on the building and what its known as in the community it serves. And, it serves us well.

I decided not to go to Home depot, Lowes or Walmart my mistake I went into the store 2 people right in the front no one said anything I know my way around hardware stores Home depot is my fav and I can read, I find what I am looking for air filters, a man ask me do I need help I say no I like to browse making sure I get a few other items I needed, I went to the counter still no greeting my items are scanned I was told the cost, I told the lady I had a question again she said how much I owed, I again said I have a question do you carry air purifiers she said if we do they are in the back where the filters are I say no I did not see them again I am told how much I owe for the filters I ask to speak to the manager maybe he would know the girl that rung the item is leaving the next lady says are you ready to pay for this the manager comes to answer the phone and starts to walk off, the 1st cashier says she want to ask you something I again inquire about the air purifier I was told we do not carey them but let me check I can order it I pay for the filters, and I wait and wait and wait the manager did not come back I finally leave will I go back there not at all, NO they ask people to shop small but why should you when the customer service sucks your treated like a dollar sign different day, not raining I would have left the filters.

For a rather small place it has a good selection of most of whatever you need for home improvement or repair. Much closer for me than Home Depot or Lowes, but that convenience comes at a price. Great for quick fix items but if you are doing major repair not so much.

I always have a good experience at Ace Hardware. I spend plenty of money at the big box stores, but the personal service always pales in comparison to Ace Hardware.My only complaint, I wish that there was a location closer to my house.

This place has a pretty good selection. Not Home Depot good of course but for being right in the neighborhood not bad. NOTE: If you are new to the store the staff will follow you around like they are waiting for you to steal something.

Had a piece missing of my brand new gas grill which our son gave us for our anniversary. Got a pic of the receipt, went to the store, ask for the manager, waited for a while with my mask on, difficult to breathe.

Its nice to see a decent business in this largely lower-middle class neighborhood. And this one really exemplifies the friendly, honest spirit of the working class. Every time Ive been there Ive been greeted warmly at the front desk and been given thorough help in trying to find whatever I might need to perform the tasks at hand. This is such a refreshing change from the corporate aloofness reflected in the employees at Home Depot and Lowes, who seem to be avoiding eye contact and customers in general. Even the 60-plus woman who greeted me this morning--not the type youd expect to be a hardware person--knew precisely where everything I asked about was in the store and sincerely strove to solve my little problems. I have to walk right now maybe half a mile to get to Ace, but I honestly look forward to these visits because the staff makes me feel as if they really care about me. Even if they dont always have what I want in the way of materials, they have what I need in the way of humanity.
