I ordered online, super easy. I picked up curbside, very timely. Breakfast sandwich was good. I also ordered a latte but neglected to add a note to make it less sweet. I asked for it to be remade and the staff was happy to oblige. Latte was better than the big chains. Nice neighborhood shop!
Came to share masking concerns and found I wasnt the only one. Really disappointing. This isnt about choice for many people, such as my unvaccinated young kids. Delta can still be spread from vaxd employees and customers, and masks are such an easy and effective way to minimize that. Reading the reviews and seeing you attack another concerned customer seals the deal. Duck donuts it is!
Went on sat mrng..! The staff are very polite and friendly. There was constant influx of people coming in..! I got a caffe latte (4/5) and Bagel and Lox (5/5). The bagel portion was huge, It can be shared easily by 2 people. The salmon was fresh and plenty of cream cheese on top. I didn’t try the donuts though. But most people come for them..! There are outdoor tables you can sit and njoy. There’s street paid street parking. Overall a great place.
Want some delicious doughnuts delivered to your door, well Good Company has you covered. Their doughnuts are delicious and several delivery apps will bring them right to your door...contactless delivery to boot! I wanted to surprise my husband with a doughnut breakfast for his birthday and Good Company hit the spot. I ordered a half dozen, which included 4 classic and 2 custom doughnuts. You dont get to choose what doughnuts you get, but they were all really good. The cake doughnuts were moist with a nice outer crust and the jelly/cream filled doughnuts were also moist with enough filling that you can split the doughnut with another person and still get the entire delicious experience. The delivery was also fast and hassle free. Id order from them again any time. Thank you!
Since we moved to Ballston, this has been our go-to place for weekend breakfast, and sometimes dinner. The breakfast sandwiches never disappoint, and the donuts are excellent. (Try their house hot sauce on a breakfast sandwich!) We have tried many items on the menu, and we’ve never disliked anything (our only minor complaint is that the avocado toast could include more bread). The staff are very friendly, and go out of their way to help/accommodate you. After going there a few times, I like that they know my name and recognize me (with or without my mask) when I visit. On the weekends, the line can get pretty long, so I strongly suggest ordering online beforehand.
The breakfast sandwiches, without additions, are a bit lacking, so Id recommend adding something to them. The menu was a little confusing, but each addition is a dollar. The bacon made my wifes sandwich pretty tasty.Donuts were particularly outstanding.Coffee was a bit hotter than most other places at which Ive had coffee, but thats a problem solved with time.Outdoor seating is a little limited and the line can form quickly, so Id recommend getting there a little earlier than the crowd - check Google maps for business times.
Thanks a lot, Good Company Team and business owners for being there for families who needed help during one of the most difficult times of mankind! My family have been receiving the free kids meal many times during this two year long pandemic and still we are thrilled to see the help continues! It is truly a reflection of Gods love towards the neighbors and community around the business itself! My family wish all the best to the business owners and always pray that the operation of the business keep clients happy and delighted all the time.
Donuts here are great, lots of variety and seasonal items. Worth a wait in line.Their store isnt set up isnt the best for the traffic they pull. If they had like a street walk up window, that would be cool.
One of my favorite brunch spots in Ballston. I love that the donuts change often enough that the menu always seems special. The breakfast sandwiches are great too.
Delicious donuts and bites! I ordered the “Fig, Honey, Burrata Toast” and is was so yummy! Staff was friendly and welcoming. Be prepared for the line to be out the door on the weekends but service is fairly fast.
I wasnt expecting a suburban VA spot to hit so hard but these doughnuts are the bomb. The coffee is well done too!
I love this place! They have the best doughnuts in the area paired with amazing coffee. The people are friendly and theyve really integrated the shop into the community. Highly recommend.
Great donuts. Good customer service and plenty of outdoor seating. Mac and cheese is spicy so Id avoid getting it for the kids.
This is probably the best new coffee and cafe food place in the area. All of the food, from breakfast sandwiches and donuts to Friday and Saturday dinners are insanely good. Relaxed atmosphere and really nice staff. Very highly recommend!
I went in for the first time on Father’s Day and am glad that I did. You know you’re in for a good experience when you are greeted by a young lady who is genuinely glad that you’re there. The food matches the fabulous service. I had the egg and cheese breakfast sandwich with ham and the Cuban sandwich. I have a feeling that I may be a regular. Great service; great food. They’ve figured it out.
They have a wonderful selection of both cake and yeast donuts that are excellent (favorite is the crumb coconut) There is also frequent rotating seasonal donuts through out the year as well. Priced from $3-4 each.My only issue/criticism is the that there tend to be 2-4 servers grabbing donuts/making coffee drinks yet there is only 1 person on the cashier. Im frequently standing behind individuals still waiting on their dozen donuts / drinks unable to pay for my single $3 glazed donut. Its just awkward.
Donuts delicious! Personally not a HUGE fan of breakfast sandwiches and smoothies, but they’re still good. Donuts are on a different level though!
My friend and I stopped here for a light bite to eat. The place is clean the service is great! The sandwiches were good, but those jelly filled doughnuts got me wanting to drive from Baltimore county to go and get some more!!
We like thier doughnuts
Friendly staff and down home feel. Breakfast sandwiches are worth the wait!
Swung by to pickup a dozen doughnuts for the office. The staff was warm and welcoming and walked me through their very unique selection (with some trusted classics). The team loved them and mentioned they were some of the best doughnuts they’ve ever had!
The doughnuts here are heavenly, so light and fluffy. We also had breakfast and a snack! The apple & brie toast was unique and flavorful. We will stop by when in the Arlington area next!
This is a really neat and fun cafe that I ran into while walking down the block. Its unique in so many ways, including the fact that they have a full bar! A bar in a cafe would be a first for me, although it was much early in the day for me to even think about partaking in cocktails. I went for a medium sized brewed coffee and 2 vanilla frosted with sprinkles donuts. The people behind the counter were very nice and attentive. There were already quite a few people seated outside for 11:30am in the morning. Nevertheless, I was able to quickly place my order and find a nice outdoor seat. Even better was the wifi which helped me out alot so that I could connect to work. I noticed that they also offer breakfast and lunch items. The steak and cheese sandwich looked tempting, but I withheld the urge for later. I also saw that they sell merchandise like hats and tee shirts!
Had a yummy pumpkin sour dough cream filled donut - fantastic! Look forward to more.
I order the 1/2 docent specialty donuts .Place looks clean and cute, theres a side walk sit. Down area very nice clean and cozy Its a 2.9 stars for me ! Heres whyService so so... she could be more welcomed. For people who dosent lived in Washington/Virginia yep. I com from NY so ... you know.1 blueberry donut nice consistency on the frosting but the filling alone bland2 chocolate weird onion donut. Oreo dosent feel the onion was like a baggel like and that I liked.3 raspberry pistachio (need more pistachio) the fluffy donut was good .4 bacon maple (bacon 🥓 was buuuurn)5 the cinnamon ginder stuck thing was a disaster 😫 no taste crumble all the way no consistency the filling i dont even know what it is . !???6 crunchy donut more like a block of ??!!# huh? I dont even know what in it !Over all 2.9 out of 5 cause I couldnt describe the flavors on the donuts and thats a problem for consumers who cant retain a 4 name donut. (4 ingredients in 1 donut)
Great coffee and donuts. Can be a line but it moves fast
My god these donuts are delicious! There tuna sandwich is quite good as well.
Great sourdough doughnut! Awesome egg sandwich. Soft boiled eggs were hard.
Id give this place a 6th star if I could. Somehow they have incorporated delicious mini-donuts, high quality espresso and old fashioneds (yes, they have a cocktail menu) into one single location. I think Im in love!
Best coffee. Best staff. Best everything. A ballston favorite by far.
The worst breakfast “sandwich” I’ve ever had. Un-eatable. Donut was ehh. Very overpriced. Wait time was nearly an hour. Shop was terribly understaffed. Won’t go back.
I like their barista, she seems to know any coffee you ask, and can make it decaffeinated. They have a La Marzocco machine and she knows how to use it.I went to this place when it just opened before COVID, and didnt like the service then. However, they clearly got their act together since then. The customer service and operations are excellent now.
My new favorite donut place in the area. Plus delicious breakfast sandwiches.
Phenomenal donuts and coffee. The Italian sandwich was delicious as well. The filled donut was overfilled in my opinion, but the filling was delicious. Many options to choose from, and I look forward to trying more.
Update to my review from last winter. Came here for dinner as part of escuela keys fundraiser. My wife had the Bourbon Street soup and I had the rubenesque, and both were very good.Ive been wanting to try this place for a little while now and I want to support local businesses. I got the chocolate and toffee donut, large coffee, and large latte. The donut was pretty good. The coffee was decent. I am mainly giving this four stars because $13 for three items is a bit pricey in my book.
I dont like how unorganized the staff can be during peak hours. I was there a few weeks ago while they were training a new girl. I didnt see much teamwork going on and I know how busy it can be with breakfast rushes but make sure that the customer is acknowledged. Do a better job at making customers feel like home and dont have someone that you train to just stand there and not help customers. It makes you look bad. I dont know if I want to go back Ill probably order online but the quality of food I would give a 4/5
By far the best doughnuts in town, I cannot get enough. Also, very good breakfast, brunch, and lunch options. Im a vegetarian and have had several great breakfast and lunch sandwiches here. I have not yet had any dinners here. The lines can get very long on weekends but usually move fairly quickly. Like any good bakery/cafe, the doughnuts get sold out throughout the day, so try to keep this in mind. I always order ahead and go pick it up, but you can also order through the app from right outside to just avoid the line if youd like, which is pretty convenient too. Whatever way you order, these doughnuts are WORTH IT big time.
Great coffee. Breakfast sandwiches are delicious. Wonderful service.
How does this place not show up on lists of best donuts in DC?? Good Companys yeast-raised donuts are light as air yet incredibly filling. The best part, for people like me who cant decide on one flavor, is that they offer mini donuts. I expected them to be dry compared to the larger signature donuts. However, they were perfect little pillows! The scone wasnt as flavorful as I had hoped, but the donuts more than made up for it. They serve good coffee -- Intelligentsia -- but I wish it came from a local roaster. There was a line out the door when I arrived but the flow was good. It was well-staffed with friendly baristas and servers. For those who pre-order online, go past the line out the door straight to the counter, where you will find someone passing out online orders.
Crowded great donuts if you are in DC area make this your special stop.
Beer choices are great. The meat lover breakfast sandwich had wayy too much salt though.
Nice little cafe. I had a nitro cold brew and got some donuts. I thought the donuts were on point, but I might try the espresso next time. Not that the cold brew was bad, just didn’t seem as strong as I like. (I needed more caffeine)Looks like this place also does cocktails, and other bites, not just donuts and coffee ...I will be coming back to try more.
This is a place for good food and good.... company. Doughnuts are high quality and offer a variety of classic types and unique and seasonal specialties. You can also get a great sandwich there. I had the Ruben, which was excellent
This was a truly tasty experience. The breakfast sandwich was spot on and the donuts were all fantastic. My favorites were the honey glazed and the lemon blueberry.
Donuts are good, I drive 20 mins for them. I just wish it wasnt so rushed inside. I dont go during peak hours and it takes me a min to decide on a donut. Feel like Im being rushed out the door by staff. I understand you want to keep people moving. So could you post your daily donuts? You say check Instagram, but you dont show daily donuts. That way I know what I want when I step in the door and help keep it moving for you guys.
Best donuts in Arlington hands down. If you are feeling gluttonous and dont mind risking purgatory, I would highly recommend indulging here.
No masks worn by a single employee. Interestingly no patrons that I observed came in with a mask which they then removed nor did any have a mask in hand. Rather they entered with no mask visible, obviously knowing that this establishment has a culture of zero masks. Very disappointing to have a business operating with such disregard for public safety in the middle of a global pandemic. Will not be returning.
For my recent three visits so far, the total of half a dozen donuts has a strong onion flavor. Of course, those donuts had a strong onion aftertaste as well. I guess they made the donuts with the utensils they used for chopping onions or making sandwiches. There might be someone who repeatedly made this mistake.
This is a very nice donut shop in the neighborhood. Friendly and helpful staffa make the long line go quickly. The apple filling in the big apple was not too sweet just right. The classic donut was what you expect to be a donut that goes well with coffee. We enjoyed their intelligentia coffee too. We are going to try their lunch menu next time.
Best doughnuts bar none.will definitely be back every time I am inDC
These are some of my favorite donuts! The classics (chocolate covered) are particularly good. Every time Ive been there is a wait but its worth it.
All the donuts and sandwiches are really tasty. They have a good selection of things to get, for breakfast or lunch, and good coffee too.
The first time I got curbside pickup from Good Company I was really impressed and really loved it! Ive come back lots of times and unfortunately it seems to be more hit or miss. They have my favorite vanilla Chai latte which is consistently good! The doughnuts and food are really great sometimes, and then other times they are hard, or soggy, or cold...The service is really great sometimes! Other times, we have been ignored, or the staff is serving customers out of order, or my online order says it is ready for pickup, and then I get there and it takes 15 minutes to be ready??The staff is always nice but seem kind of unorganized like they dont know whats going on..I wasnt going to leave any negative review, but the last time I ordered a breakfast sandwich, halfway through eating it I noticed the scrambled egg was grey and weird. I felt sick and had to throw it away and now I dont know if I can eat here again.I really really wanted to love this place but I think Im taking a break for a bit.
Wow I haven’t had a donut that good in years!
With many options for breakfast, Good Company truly stands out and is quickly becoming a Sunday tradition. I absolutely love their creative creations just as much as their take on traditional favorites. I cant wait to work my way through the menu!
This has been my favorite donut place in the area. Donuts are worth the price but yesterday was a bit disappointing. I bought 3 mocha espresso donuts and two of them had very strong onion flavor in cream for some reason. My wife felt the same way. I believe it was unusual but still need quality control.
Slammed on a Sunday morning and they had a couple orders mixed up, but they quickly made it right. Great service and great donuts.
Excellent coffee, buy hard to find a place to sit.
The only reason I am giving this place 3 and not 5 stars is because of the customer service, specifically service during peak hours (combination of pre-order pickups and off-the-street customers). My most recent experience sums up the issue, although past visits during peak hours were similar: Once I made it inside the shop after a 10min wait, I was cut by 2 customers who were served immediately, told by a staff member to wait my turn after attempting to bring up the issue, and then told by another staff member that I was in the wrong place to wait in line (despite being told otherwise during previous experiences there).Maybe the staff around the registers didn’t notice me waiting, maybe they and the customers who cut thought I wasn’t in line and was waiting on a pickup, but having a standard policy around handling customers inside the shop would go a long way in relieving the chaos. I understand you cannot always control where customers go, especially during a rush, but having staff that either dismisses a customer’s concern or gives them conflicting instructions does not help. Otherwise, I have no complaints with their doughnuts and other food items, and the service is generally welcoming helpful during off peak times.
Best local coffee and donuts (and more) spot!!!
Oh, man. Thats one of the best doughnuts Ive had in a long time.
The mini doughnuts are the best! They are a MUST
Are these the best donuts Ive ever had? Yeah, I think they might be. Introduced GoCo to my mom and she immediately asked if theyre a franchise so we can open a location.
Delicious! I will make it a point to visit everytime I am in the area. The doughnuts are fresh and rich tasting great varsity staff does a good job explaining the variety and flavors to expect. The doughnuts are about $3.25 or $25. Per dozen
Yummy donuts, tasty coffee, delicious sandwiches.
Best name ever. Good doughnuts. Good coffee. Company is usually aight depending on who you bringing. The Nutella doughnut. Get it. The sourdough braid. Get it. The latte. Get it. I didn’t even have time to take a photo of the goods before they were gone. Just go here. Buy things. Eat things. Be happy. More doughnuts!
Great food, not just doughnuts! Try the breakfast sandwiches. The doughnuts are also really good and they have seasonal flavors. Check Instagram for the current flavors.
The yeast donuts are not to be missed. Light, fluffy and a bit of tang. The other donuts are flavorful and not overly fussy my favorite being the cranapple. This is hands down the best donut shop in town.
Amazing food and drink. I was really happy with my donut. Was not expecting the quality to be so good. Very tasty and home made. The staff was friendly and quick with my order. Cappuccino was made perfectly. The breakfast sandwich was a little small but very tasty.
Hands down the best coffee shop in the neighborhood and the area. People line up outside every morning! Everyone on the staff is great and create very warm atmosphere, and the general vibe of the place is that they love what they do and care deeply about quality. Doughnuts are delicious, especially some of the seasonal ones (which I enjoy being able to order for some time after they disappear from display). Espresso, cappuccino, cortado, pour over, you name it - coffee drinks are exceptional here and way ahead of any nearby competition (standard cappuccino size is 8 oz - not the typical American 12+ oz monstrosities!). Im very picky about coffees I drink and I make my own espresso at home, and I still come here almost every day. I am so lucky to live nearby! Before Good Company opened, I was excited about Compass Coffee coming to the area - but now that Compass is open I dont even go there at all even though I have to walk farther to get to Good Company.
Great friendly service and great spot to sit and have a little treat. The sweets are good, the coffee same as most places.
Great donuts and coffee. Good local fare with nice people.
Really great coffee and doughnuts. Owners and workers are really nice.
Love the food. Always adding something new and delicious. Doughnuts are awesome.
Best doughnuts Ive ever had. Service was also very kind and efficient. What a find!
You know its going to be good when there is a line on a Sunday morning. And they dont disappoint. The donuts are great, the coffee is too. The people are friendly and organized to move the line quickly. Its a really great treat and I cant wait to return. Thanks!
Good coffee, and pretty good doughnuts. The place gets a little busy and prices are a little high for the doughnuts.
I had a great experience yesterday! It was my first time there, I arrived around 2pm and received a doughnut and iced coffee. Theyre fast and easy.Cant wait to go back!!EDIT 12/8/2020: I love this place. It is my favorite coffee shop in the Arlington area. Just something about the taste of the coffee...so so good.Staff is also super friendly, fast. Of course, the donuts are great as well.
Amazing donuts and cute setup in store. Cant wait to go back for coffee and more donuts to try!
The breakfast sandwiches are amazing. Specifically, the aoli is out of this world. If you like garlic, this aoli is heaven. Can I just buy a jar of it or something?! They second time I went they left off my precious aioli by accident (they were very, very busy!), but my generous husband swapped half of his sandwich bun with mine. My hero!Had the mac and cheese. Was a little surprised at how spicy it was, and tasted like it might have had goat cheese in it? Not your typical mac and cheese flavor, but creamy and delicious. I did have to add some extra shredded cheese to it at home to bring the heat down a little bit. Also got a chocolate cream doughnut, which was amazing. Unlike chain stores the cream isnt just hyper-sweet chocolate icing. It was about halfway between pudding and a mousse. It didnt try to hide any flavor by overloading on the sugar, which I loved. Its definitely a bit on the pricey side, but Im not surprised--its a small, independently-owned business in Arlington, and I bet the rent aint cheap! I dont mind paying a little extra to support an awesome local business.
This is the Turkey Sausage, Egg, Cheese, and bell pepper breakfast sandwich that I paid $7 for. Looks a whole lot different than their pictures. Where are the toppings? Never coming back here.
Great food, amazing Donuts. Can pass on the drip coffee ;)
We had latte and chai latte and its amazing. Must recommended place if you are in arlington
