My first time there: I asked about the food and received excellent suggestions. She suggested that I try the combo so that I can try two different things. I took my time deciding and ordered the Italian Wedding soup and the Arlington Dip sandwich. I also ordered the special hot chocolate, which had vanilla and cinnamon in it. She was very patient while I was making the decision. The food came with chips. The hot chocolate came with a beautiful white leaf of cream on top. The ambience was beautiful and restful. They have a bookshelf with books that customers can read while they are enjoying their food and coffee. They also have a fireplace behind glass and different seating areas. I noticed that there is a door that can slide shut to divide the room into two sections. My friend who introduced me to the place ordered chai tea, and we had a delightful hour of conversation before they closed at 7:00 p.m.

The coffee was great. Environment is a good spot for working or just hanging out. The staff was friendly and the food was yummy. Will definitely be back.

One of my favorite coffee shops I’ve been too. It has a great atmosphere and plenty of seating for bigger parties. They even have a fireplace. The service is good and the food/coffee is even better! I would recommend everyone who is in the area to come check this place out.

Today was my first chance to try this place. It was really neat. The coffee was tasty and even though I didn’t eat anything from the bakery, it looks like they had some delicious options. Wonderful, decorative, relaxing place for coffee but long wait times for food..I came around 12 time, which wasnt a good idea as this place was really busy, ordered latte and breakfast tacos, while I must say the place is spacious, very interesting atmosphere, latte was fine but my food took almost 30 minutes to get, overall neat place but not ideal for having lunch unless your prepared to wait

Very nice space with good food and drink offerings and a great mission. The ambiance of the space goes well with your coffee break. I would argue their cinnamon rolls are better than Cinnabon because of the firmer roll and higher cinnamon flavor (pairs fantastically with the San Antonio sourced coffee). The gold ribbon in their logo refers to the percentage of each sale that for to fighting childhood cancer.

When it comes to the layout, design, and vibes, this shop really nails it! One of the most well designed shops Ive been to in the metroplex. I love their syrup selection! I tried the Micha mocha latte with Oat milk and loved it!The only reason this place isnt getting a perfect score is because of their intermittent wifi issues. Getting work done was a struggle and cut my stay short. But, if youre looking to meet up with some friends or have a study session, definitely pull up!

This is an amazing place to start your day at. The coffee taste perfect, not too strong, not too light, not soury at all. The fresh baked bread is an amazing addition to the menu. A must try place in the neighborhood.

Really like the atmosphere, a lot of food options but it felt hit or miss on baked goods quality, great coffee options though and that is the real point of a coffee shop. Prices seemed in line with DFW prices which are unfortunately sky high compared to everywhere else I have been in the US.

Beautiful, Christian run coffee shop with an incredible motivation and story. Fair prices, plenty of options and friendly staff. Outlets along the wall but those fill up so bring a power bank. Dine in welcome! Such a delight.

I go to this shop regularly when I’m visiting family. I was excited to see a local place open in this neighborhood and went the next morning. Their coffee was very good, with a nice balance of flavor. I was happy to see the gluten-free selections as well. I had the cinnamon roll my first time in and it was perfect. Not slathered in icing so you could actually taste the cinnamon.I’ve also had lunch there and enjoyed everything I’ve tried. Portion size is nice for lunch, an adequate serving without being too heavy. The atmosphere is great for coffee and conversation.If you’re on a gluten-free diet, you’ll be pleasantly surprised here.

The good: great atmosphere and fast friendly service.The bad: I got the breakfast plate and was a little disappointed, for 8 bucks I was expecting a little more food. The food was fresh and tasted good but was very basic and nothing gourmet...think Waffle House, if you’re looking for a filling meal, look elsewhere.I also got a 16 oz latte with an extra shot, it was decent...not bad but not amazing.I have traveled a lot and love trying new coffee shops and restaurants, so my reviews are more stringent than most.

I went here with a friend on Saturday for the 1st time. The staff was friendly and attentive. I got an iced Carmel Latte which was so good. My friend and I both LOVED the atmosphere. I will definitely be back again.

Amazing place! Amazing & beautiful cause. The coffee is top notch & the people are kind, have depth & are some of the most unique & wonderful leaders of the community. They also sell art which is cool. I suggest the basic coffee but if you are not in a hurry, check out the pour-over or green tea. Its 50 times better than star bucks. Truly a hub in the community. If every coffee shop had this much care, the world would be a better place. ☕️P.s the breakfast tacos are unique, so is the yogurt + fruit. Meatball subs are excellent as well. I performed at the open mic today. I tried the coffee. Let me tell you, this is a high quality coffee shop. The owner made this coffee shop in honor of his son who lost a battle with cancer. Theres a mural dedicated to him and its beautiful. The decor is delightful, the employees are wonderful. It feels like a community. I highly recommend this place for coffee and local open mic. They provide the sound equipment for the artist. If you are looking for great coffee and good environment please show some love.

The morning I was there the gentleman behind the counter was more interested in discussing something something regarding a trip to China with the customer in front of me and didnt even acknowledge that I was standing at the counter for a good 10 minutes waiting for his attention. I thought that was quite rude.

I was so excited for this place to open up. I drive about 40 minutes to get merit coffee in Dallas, so I was hoping this shop would be a good mediator. Unfortunately, the latte I had came with over aerated milk, and the espresso was not balanced or calibrated well. After ordering and having them remake the drink three times we left and lost an hour of our time. I went back to give it another shot and still experienced poorly calibrated espresso. However, the pastries are good. The mission of this coffee shop is beautiful. I truly do wish them the best, but would like to see a better effort on the coffee side of things.

I miss the coffee shops that I used to go to back when you went in tongwt coffee and hangout, not drive thru. Grounds and Gold has brought that back! Also, the owners story is sad but inspirational. That alone is reason enough to support this local business. Also, when a birthday cake order was not done correctly, they fixed it and made it right. Mistakes can happen, we are all human. The manager and the owner went above and beyond to make it right. Great pastries and drinks. Wonderful atmosphere.

The place has a cozy atmosphere. We sat in front of a fireplace. Relaxing music poured through the speakers up high. It was quiet and well lit.I ordered a Micah Mocha and a blueberry scone. They warmed the scone prior to serving the coffee. Both were delicious. My wife ordered a Cappuccino and a breakfast taco.There was free Wi-Fi. But I didn’t want to sit by the fire the entire morning. So, I walked around. They have a separate meeting room. An attractive barn door separates the room from the rest of the café. There is an art gallery towards the back.The location is convenient. Its a block north of I-20 on Bowen. Parking is plentiful.

One of my favorite Coffee place in Arlington to go when I dont feel like going to Starbucks. The iced coffee and Kolache is really good over here, I just wish their coffee would be a bit cheaper than $5 for a small 16oz drink, which I find cheaper at Starbucks.

Eclectic coffee shop with a scrumptious bakery. I had a potent herbal tea with a blueberry scone. Also took home a decadent cinnamon roll for my hubby. Im sure hell devour it within seconds. This place is beautiful. Natural lighting lifts my spirit. Furniture is high end and very comfortable. Even the napkins are high quality and elegant. You will be so pleased with the atmosphere. The music is subtle so you can read, chat, or just relax. This will be my go to place. So thankful its within walking distance.

Owner Maurice Ahern is amazingly calm and personable to his cafe guests. It may be a busy lunch crowd, but he and his employees are kind and efficient and treat every guest with attentive respect. I love the little touches of care, such as the available cards you can write to be delivered to children at the hospital. If thats not enough, the food is amazing. Im a baker myself and I appreciate someone who bakes from scratch. My favorite? Lemon filled cupcakes.

The food wasnt bad, the staff wasnt rude. But the atmosphere was very uncomfortable. I recommend to go if you have kids. It felt like I was imposing in someones home I met online. A big thing is this is not a kid friendly place, maybe 10 and up but not for young. It took me a long time to find napkins and it was difficult to tell who worked there and didnt, the uniforms dont stay out. And I couldnt get a fork for the life of me. Matcha tea should be asked if they want dairy(alt) with it, it was extremely bitter. My first time it was just matcha and water as standard. The food was not bad but not extraordinary. If they had high chairs no one offered and I did not see them.I will say theyre bakery has potential 2nd best vegan gluten-free cupckae i have bought.

I LOVE Grounds & Gold! The bakery items are some of the best I have ever had and they are baked fresh daily! Everything from the cinnamon rolls, kolaches, to the muffins and granola bars are delicious! The interior is wonderful as well and the perfect place to cozy up and enjoy a cup of coffee.

Waited 30 minutes for 2 coffees and 2 breakfast biscuits. The person that I was with heard me order 2 breakfast biscuits and when they only brought one out I asked for the second one. After 5-7 minutes she came back and said they checked the receipt and only one was rung up. Okay, thats fine but at least start making the second one while youre checking the receipt so I dont have to wait THIRTY MINUTES FOR 2 COFFEES AND 2 BISCUITS because you guys made a mistake. Other than that the atmosphere seems great but I dont think I will be returning based on this first experience

Ordered cookies for a baby shower - the mom-to-be wanted a Halloween theme. I sent Maurice a few pictures just for inspiration - and he and his team did an amazing job! The cookies turned out amazing - gorgeous looking and tasted divine! Also - the ambience of this place is so warm and inviting - can’t wait to stop by to enjoy a cup of coffee by the fireplace!

Their mission in supporting childhood cancer research is admirable, as is the effort from staff to make sure people have a delicious and comfortable experience. Grounds and Gold gave my wife the best salad she says shes ever had, and it was a chance for me to realize how delicious some gluten free and vegan products can be. All in all, Ill be back over and over.

We loved this coffee shop and it has a really great atmosphere. My drink (a cappuccino) was not the best Ive had but Ive heard their other drinks are fantastic and their food as well. We loved the coziness of it and the friendliness of the people in the shop and we will definitely be back!

The Decour in this place is absolutely stunning. They have done a great job and taken great care in creating a beautiful space. Fireplace is gorgeous and they even have it on sometimes...The menu is quite expansive and there is some thing for everyone, even gluten free options. There are several sitting areas so people can spread out and enjoy their coffee without being crowded. Overall a great experience. Restrooms- clean. Coffee- good but not worth a stop on its own. Food - pretty good.. ambience- amazing.a drive thru option would be good.. the mica mocha is the best coffee on the menu!
