There’s lots of mechanic shops in Arlington, but I chose this one because of the excellent reviews and longer hours. I called ahead and Robbie worked with my schedule to ensure I wouldn’t be out there driving with a tail light out. Once I arrived, Curtis was also an awesome help and attentive. Great service for a great price, and I’ll be back next time I’m in the area. P.S. Tell Robbie that Texas is the best state - he loves it!

I love this place. I know nothing about cars, and at other places always have that feeling like Im being taken advantage of -- not at D&V!!! I love these guys. Everyone is honest, respectful, friendly, explains what stuff means, and helps you prioritize whats most important to fix right away vs what can safely wait if youre short on cash. Im thankful to have found this place years ago. They even drove me home once in a snow storm when I was new to the area and had to leave my car there! Always reliable and trustworthy -- highly recommend D&V.

Honest mechanics who will tell you what you need and not try to sell you anything you don’t need.

On the form they gave me, I wrote detailed instructions for what I wanted done, and checked the boxes for call me with an estimate and call me when its ready. I got no calls. I called back the next day, and they told me it was ready. They were rude, couldnt tell me if they had done the things I asked, said to call back the next day, and hung up on me. The next day I called back and got the same answers, but in a more courteous manner. My car works fine, and I presume they changed the oil, but I still dont know if they did anything else I asked.

Dropped my car off at 730AM for an oil change and it was ready at 915AM. I appreciate the quick turnaround time and courteous service since they originally quoted me for 1130AM pickup.Would recommend again

I wish I could give them more stars! These guys are the best. My car broke down a few weeks ago and I had it towed to AAA where they gave me a very high estimate that I didnt understand. I sent the estimate to D&V for advice and they walked me through the questions to ask to get the work done I really needed based on my issue. This was out of their own goodwill.On top of it, a few weeks later my car overheated and I had it towed in to them to take a look and while unfortunately my car just didnt want to overheat for them again to make a diagnosis they kept it for three days to keep trying. Then ultimately because we didnt find anything they didnt charge me.They are just great-: hard-working, honest, and knowledgeable. Robbie is the best and I will not be taking my car anywhere else in the future. I highly recommend them to everyone!

This is our go-to place for fuel and car services. Weve had everything done from tire repair to major tune-ups and every time, weve had a great experience. Staff is professional, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Their prices are fair, their hours are great (open early to late), and they repair your vehicle in a very timely manner. Communication is great, too. I highly recommend this place.

This is one of the smoothest experiences I had fixing a car from the initial phone call to setting up an estimate/ repair appointment to picking up the vehicle in the same day. Robbie listened to my mechanical concerns and his mechanical technicians we were able too readily rectify the problem at a reasonable cost. Robbie also shared other possible concerns and together made the best decisions for my particular car. It was nice not to feel the general pressure usually experienced at a dealership service. If I could give D & V six stars I would. I cannot say enough about the service provided by these mechanics. I have been looking for a reliable mechanic for over a year and I will not go anywhere else except D & V from now on. In the past two years, I have spent over $1200 on my radiator with no results. I dropped my car off at D & V Thursday evening and was greeted by a courteous staff who went out of their way to make me feel welcome and comfortable. I received a call early the following morning. They had diagnosed the problem as a missing bolt on my coolant overflow reservoir. It cost $60 to fix it! They did not try to sell me anything extra or try to scare me into additional repairs. It was an amazing experience. I will not bring my car anywhere else in the future.

Ive had multiple jobs done at D&V. Robbie and his guys have been honest with every job Ive taken to them and have tried to fix the problem at the lowest cost first before going to more expensive solutions. When one of the parts they installed failed after 6 months I took my vehicle in and they replaced the part free of charge no questions asked.

You never want to have a burning smell being emitted from your engine. Luckily, D&V was able to accommodate a next day appointment and found that a plastic bag had attached itself to the underbelly of the car and burned up. They could have easily said it was something else and charged $200, but their honesty is a welcome relief from many other mechanics.Their honesty and fair pricing will keep me coming back for all repairs and services!

D&V Service Center was a life saver for me, literally. For my taxi business, I drove from Charlottesville to Arlington, VA to drop off a customer. After dropping them off, instantly my vehicle started over heating and had to pull over from preventing further damage to my car. I looked up the nearest auto service place and it showed D&V 2 minutes away with excellent ratings. They diagnose the problem (Heater Hose broke off) and resolved it in an hour or so. They recommended a fabulous lunch place to eat while they finished up. I was blessed, one that the car was not seriously damaged, two, that they made time for me and knew the dire situation I was in and three, I made it back home just in time to celebrate my sons birthday! Highly recommend D&V Service Center. Way to go guys!!!

The guys at D & V do great work at a fair price. They tell you what is recommended and what is really necessary and let you make a decision based on what you can afford. And they dont assume that you know nothing about cars. I made the mistake recently of going to an in and out oil change place to save a little time and regretted it almost immediately. They tried to upsell my oil change and do a bunch of work that probably wasnt needed. I told them I would take it to my usual mechanic for those services. See you soon D & V - and I wont make that mistake again!

The staff at D&V were very helpful and we’re able to quickly diagnose and repair my vehicle while I waited - my battery died.

I contacted D&V about a simple oil change, they agreed to get me in next day. I told them I would need my car back by Noon/One. They asked me to get my car in at 9AM at the latest, I was frustrated they wanted to keep my car all morning for an oil change but I agreed. When I called at 11 they said they hadnt looked at the car and had no estimate for when it would be complete. This mechanic needs a better scheduler. If you need to hold my car for 3 hours fine, but all afternoon for a simple oil change is absurd. Incompetent

Robbie/Neal/Mr. Davis and all the technicians there at D & V couldnt be nicer nor more accommodating. They maintained my previous car for many, many years and I trust for the same with my new car just serviced for the first time.

They are very nice people and I go to them for basic things like oil changes but they can be a bit expensive in my opinion.

Replaced drive belts on my VW R32. Excellent quality, fair prices, quick turnaround, very nice and professional, and most importantly HONEST. Robbie saved me $400 on brake work I didn’t need at the time, with no guarantee I’d be back - but I will!

Pepboys told me I needed a bunch of work done so I got a second opinion from D&V who showed me that Pepboys was basically making it all up. They saved me a lot of money. They will tell you exactly when an issue needs to be fixed instead of telling you to fix it right away so you dont get hit with a huge bill all at once. I was disappointed that you charged me for a diagnosis even though I had recieved a diagnosis elsewhere. I had called to get a quote on just replacing one part, and then was still charged $60+ after you reneged and said youd only do a much bigger fix for twice as much. I wont be coming back again.
