Cory and the team at Capitol Auto Land are fantastic. They have done great service on my vehicle multiple times and I am always happy with the work. They are the utmost of professionals as well. During my most recent visit, Cory had to deal with several customers who were considerably less than polite and respectful. He handled their issues with care and concern and returned their disrespect with kindness. Will definitely be back not just for the great vehicle work but for the outstanding customer service.

I was using someone else previously who is closer to my house and also good but after several friends on my street kept mentioning Cory, I wanted to see what they were talking about. First word that comes to mind which is the word that matters the most people is, HONEST. Cory is honest. He will give you your options, he won’t overcharge, he will tell it like it is and your options. The quality and reliability have never failed me. Communication is also excellent. Cory is very respectful and knowledgeable when it comes to all types of vehicles. He will always show you what he sees what’s wrong with your vehicle and explain very clearly what’s wrong with it what will happen in the long run. Which really helped for me because I’m ignorant when it comes to cars in general. He showed me about a leakage in my car that no other auto company has shown me since I got my vehicle in 2018 and gotten oil changes and fixes. We are now in 2021!! That’s insane! He’s communicative, explains whatever the issue is, and tells me my options. Corey has been happy to give me advice when I’ve been in the the market for a new car.I’ve had a hard time finding a good mechanic in the past, but this shop treats me professionally and price repairs fairly. I’ve also recommended Capital Auto Land to friends and family who have become long time customers, so I didn’t hesitate when asked to leave a review.

This place is going to be my new place to get my car serviced. The staff was very professional. I made my appointment online and had a brief form to fill out electronically when I arrived. Very simple process. My appointment was at 10:00 a.m., and my car was pulled into the garage shortly afterwards. The waiting rooms (3 different themed rooms) were very nice and I didnt feel like I was at a car repair service. I used the bathroom and it wasnt your typical repair shop bathroom, dirty and run down. It was clean and it had a fancy sink. I definitely will be using this as my new repair shop.

Today, on behalf of my husband, I took the car to this shop for diagnostic and some repair services. He found this place through groupon. I was truly impressed with the customer service I received from Cory, so I thought it was worth taking the time out to leave this review.Cory was very professional, honest, transparent, pleasant, and patient. In addition to presenting the problem areas, he identified which ones should be prioritized and which ones was not as critical. He did not try to forcibly upsell (which is a big turn off for me) any services or deceive in any way. Aka, he kept it real! He also provided me the opportunity to see the evidence of exactly what was replaced, and I had the option of taking back the old part as well.The waiting areas were very clean and comfortable with a nice layout. There is free wifi available for customers. The mechanic did a good job on the car, the price and waiting period was reasonable. I would recommend anyone to give this place a try.

When I moved to this area, I tried several mechanics and wasnt satisfied. I found Capitol Auto Land when one of my friends recommended it and I have now recommended them to several other people. In my experience they do good work, charge honest prices, and are good people. They will tell me when something doesnt need to be fixed yet. And when they do suggest that I take care of something they have been willing to show me on the car what they are talking about so I can see the problem for myself. Most recently, I brought them a used car I had just acquired and they serviced the battery, the brake pads and rotors, gave it an oil change and a new filter and two new tires. They kept me updated by phone and were able to have it all done the same day. I definitely recommend

The quality of the works are great and so is the customer service. He doesn’t suggested anything that your don’t need and fix only what is necessary. These guys have always taken good care of me. Ive been 4 or 5 times for various maintenance and repairs. They do great work and stand behind it. I had an AC control unit replaced and when I noticed the lights werent coming on (much later after it was dark), I brought it back and they took the time to make sure it was right at no cost. Im always amazed how quickly they are able to complete jobs. My last time with them I was quoted nearly 4 times the cost by another shop for the same job. Nothing but positive experiences at Capitol Auto Land!

I normally go to jiffy lube to do this, but I got a deal through Groupon, so I give this place a chance to shine. I was told that I would be receiving a “synthetic blend” which was ok for me. What I have a problem with is the levels of transparency. I asked what brand of oil and filter they were using. This guy says “our brand” it didn’t specify the brand. No name. Castrol, penzoil, SOMETHING? So basically I let them do their job, a few thousand miles later, I decided to change my oil on my own as I’ve always have. Look under the engine only to see a stripped bolt! I NEVER worked on this car, because I just bought it from carmax. There wasn’t a stripped bolt then, and there shouldn’t be one NOW! I work on cars as well. And that stripped bolt was evidence that the mechanic was either using a power tool, aor with the wrong size wrench, or socket, or both! Either way it’s really annoying. NEVER AGAIN!

These guys are the real deal! Super reliable, quick, serious and not expensive!! Ive been bringing my car here for years and have recommended lots of friends and family members. We are all happy with their service and strongly recommended.

I found this place via Groupon. They have an oil change promotion and I paid a bit extra to upgrade to full synthetic. During the service, they also check my car for eh coolant flush and fuel injection service because it’s over 80k mileage. They’re fast, honest, professional, friendly, and clean. It’s a family family business, and you’re feel welcoming. I highly recommend this place.

I have taken my Wrangler here for everything from an oil change to a new transmission over the years that I’ve lived in the DMV, and they always do excellent work. Even after moving out of the neighborhood, I travel across the city to take my car here. The service is excellent and the team is very friendly — Cory always makes sure to walk me through the necessary repairs and on the occasions that I’ve had two opinions, is always the one to recommend less work and give a less expensive quote.

I highly recommend not booking an appt here if your using Groupon .( look at other Groupon reviews as well ) I choose this place because it has more reviews then others on the Groupon website . Which made me feel safe when it comes to there experience with cars.First problem was when I called in to see if I could book a spot I was told no that I had to wait until next week and use there website to book it myself.When I did that I saw there were plenty of spots available for the current week.Then what really disappointing me was when I showed up for my appt the following week. I was told that they could not help me because I booked it under the wrong option .I choose the option “other service “. Since they did not have the service option I was looking for.I explain that there website wasn’t clear enough. What I need was an inspection, oil change and top off other fluids that need it too. They said I should have booked it under oil change promotion and voucher . But the website description of an oil change promotion and voucher specifies that’s it’s only for an oil change.I also explained that I came from MD so it took a while to get there. And I was still told they couldn’t help me and to go home.I wasn’t offered any alternatives or even a simple reschedule offer. Just told that I couldn’t be seen.

Bought a groupon for $19 for Synthetic blend for my car. They wanted $45 more to do oil change as supposedly my vehicle only supports Synthetic oil and wont word with synthetic blend. They think the customer is stupid.I get oil change at my Honda Authorized Dealer and they have two options, full synthetic and synthetic blend and let the customer choose.Obviously a scammer, oil is oil, synthetic has longer life but I change oil every 3000 milesBuyer Beware!!

His diagnostics are always spot-on and I love that he doesnt try to upsell a bunch of services I dont need. Weve been taking all three of our cars to Capitol Auto Land for over a decade because Cory has gone above and beyond earning our trust.

The owner, Cory, was super cool. Appreciated his expertise and conversation while waiting for my oil change. Found out that my vehicle was having issues idling because of a coolant leak. Didnt expect it to because of an issue with my cooling system. Did a pressure test found no leaks external but the water pump is internal to the engine housing. Going to have to deal with it a different day. All in all, I would highly recommend their services. I got his info based on word of mouth myself.

If you use your cheap groupon for inspection or any other reason, just be careful what they claim to be corrected on your car.groupon deal is just bait to get you into the shop.probably you will end up paying more than regular inspection fee ($20), for some made up things on your car.

New location, same great service. Ive been coming to Corey & Captiol Auto Land since moving to Arlington and hes yet to let me down. Got an oil change and a brake flush, the latter being a recommendation. Unlike some mechanics Ive gone to prior to moving to Arlington, theres no hidden fees when it comes time to pick up your car and pay. Coreys recommendations are made with the customer in mind, not for his bottom line. My wife (who also goes to CAL) and I will continue to only go to Corey & his crew.The new location is spacious and the waiting area is like being in your own family room. Its well deserved for a business that treats its customers like theyre family.

Cory is my absolute go-to for my 2006 Mazda3. I trust him, he’s dependable, he has performed pretty much any service I’ve needed over the past five years. Similar to others’ accounts, he has always been up front about what needs to be fixed immediately and what can safely wait; he’s always given me all the info I’ve needed to make those decisions and feel comfortable doing so (especially as we had a baby and needed to trust the car was safe and reliable), and has never judged or forced the decisions I’ve made. Can’t recommend Cory and this shop highly enough, he’s a life saver!
