William was very helpfull and responsible. I was expecting a couple of days to fix my car but he made it within a day. Same case at the Chevrolet dealer, it took forever and very complicated. William always make things simple and easy and very reliable.. thank you so much.
I will say, that William was absolutely AMAZING. My oil change was cheaper than back home in WI, he even allowed for the mechanic to put in an air filter i had previously purchased-at no additional cost! They are amazing, quick, and I will definitely be getting my oil changes there, especially since I work down here ever week-putting on roughly 500+ miles each time, to andd from home. I would definitely recommend them for an oil change, awesome service and my favorite, great humor!
I own a small business and I’ve spend thousands of dollars at this location. Unfortunately I believe that this chain is practicing the unethical practice of paying their employees a commission on recommending repairs that are unnecessary. You can read several previous reviews to confirm this. I recently had my tires replaced at this location. After a few months I took my van in for an oil change at a different mechanic. The tech doing the oil change asked me who installed the tires on the van. I asked him why and he informed me that the tires installed on my van were not the correct tire. I should have had a heavy duty tire installed on the van and that they installed a light duty tire and in order to compensate for the fact that it wasn’t the correct tire they inflated the tire to double the rated psi of the max psi of the tire! I have contacted the corporate office and gotten no response. In the meantime I’m driving in a van that is unsafe to drive because they put the wrong tires on. This location is full of scam artists. Take your business elsewhere.
Called this place around 4:30 to get work done on my car and spoke with William O. They were booked after 5pm with appointments (they closed at 6pm) but he let me know if I made it in before 5pm that he could take a look for me. 15 minutes later I arrived and per his word he grabbed my keys, asked a few questions about the vehicle, pulled it in, and by 5:15 I was out of there. William was super helpful, took care of my needs, and got it done in record time. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with this Midas and thank you to any and all the mechanics that were involved in getting my car turned around so quickly. I very much appreciated it. Thank You! - Daniel
Quick oil change during lunch, and made it back within 1 hour!William is cool and knowledgeable, and their shop is nice with A/C in the waiting room and a bunch of lifts in the shop for multiple customers. This is my new oil change/quick service spot - catch ya next time!
We are on our way to Wisconsin and our car started making a scratching noise. We pulled over and noticed our dust cover was real loose. The closest place we could stop was this Midas location and Ishmael, a mechanic, and William offered to look at it right away and fixed it without charging us. We were so lucky to find such friendly and helpful mechanics. We were in and out in less than 1/2 hour and back on our way to Wisconsin!
Once again, Midas came through for me - serpentine belt was fraying and flapping under the hood, so the belt and tensioner were replaced. Some other things needed attention as well, so I had them go ahead with the recommended repairs - my 2010 Escape with 180K miles rides like a dream!!Still some more to be done, so Ill be back soon!
The staff there are super friendly and welcoming. They work quick, efficiently and are a place I will definitely be returning to in the future for my car repair needs. This place specifically seems dedicated to customer satisfaction and are proud of the service they provide.
The guy in the front is super nice and that’s all about there is nice to say about this place.I went today for an oil change, I was not gonna complain about the $90 price which I would have paid at Audi dealership but since they literally couldn’t even do their job, now I will say that this price is out of this world for this place.I got in my car and my service light was still on so I asked them to turn it off, they couldn’t figure out how to turn off a service light for like half an hour, after which the guy there was like all done. Not… I got in my car and fist thing I see is the service light. Like… at least say you don’t know what you are doing, why tell me it’s done. So now my light is on and I have to go to Audi and pay more cuz they didn’t do their job in Midas. What is more, as soon as I got in the car after the light was “fixed” in their opinion, all other lights on my car started going off and I ended up with my stop light stopping and the computer telling me that there is no connection. Now I am not saying they broke it but isn’t it a little too coincidental that they don’t know what they are doing and on top of that a light which I haven’t seen pop up on my screen since I have the car (around 2 years) goes on and my stop lights stop….I would never go back even if this is the only place open. I never changed an oil on a car and I can confidently say that I would have still done better than this guys.
Very professional and courteous. William went above and beyond in the service that he gave. Very knowledgeable about vehicles. We travel all the way from Chicago to have him service all of our vehicles!! We would highly recommend him!!
They wanted to make on me $1000. Went to my usual mechanic and was told the car is all fine. What a bad joke
I always bring my vehicles to them! They are the best, honest guys here.
Great service and always willing to work with my schedule!
Got me in on the fly, took care of the car, got me out with an oil change less then 30 min
There are some new employees and they never listen to you.
Awesome service, sam the manager is one of the most patient person I know, William the other manager is very crafty at saving customers money and very knowledgeable about cars, A1
Lied about what repairs needed to be done never going their again.
Didnt put sticker for my oil change so dont even know if they actually did it or not despite being charged for it. More importantly, they lost my hub caps (all 4) and have been giving me the run around for 2 months.
Not only the workers but even the General Manager, Ray, were amazing in offering accommodations to my repair activity needs!!I was pointed to this location from a fellow coworker of mine, and although a green tree car repair enthusiast myself, I have decided these guys are my first choice!!!Above and beyond they have gone EVERY time I visit. I will suggest your attention every time in need of quick / informed / experienced car repair authority you may need!!!Each and every time!!!John A Klein
This is one of the best automotive repair centers Ive been to in a long while. I came to this business with an unknown electrical problem and the people here were able to diagnose and explain my problem to me faster and more efficiently than I imagined. I would recommend this business to anyone needing automotive repairs.
Over priced and tried to make it sound like a larger job when I pushed back. Cost $450 to replace a muffler under warranty that was only a couple of years old. When I pushed back on the pricing and said I needed to get another quote on the additional work all of a sudden the quote was done under the wrong car and had to redo. Be cautious and verify.
I had a uber inspection last Jan 15, 2021 .William advice me that I need an alignment even though he did not lift my car to check on alignment. Alignment is not required to uber inspection and he checked or pass the car in steering mechanism. But I know in heart that I need to do the alignment. So I came to him and show my alignment receipt done in Pepboys . He did not consider and he doesn’t trust Pepboys alignment, make it short he just want my “ MONEY “ for his greedy attitude. Stay away with this shop
They never try to sell me extra stuff that I dont need. Friendly staff. Competitive pricing.
Great service. Pointed out my nearly bald tires. William Hooked me up with a new setup
They will do work on your car that does not need any work and charge you.I will never go back to this place worst service ever and a big scam
Great people! Trustworthy! Fair price and good service!
What more positive can I say about these guys. Steve and Sean are some of the most honest guys you will come across in the business. Ever get the feeling that you may get ripped off when you get your car repaired? Not here. They will change your oil at a great price, and go over your car with recommendations of things they see need fixing. They dont push you into anything, but will highlight true safety concerns.I sould like a salesman for them, which Im not. I want people to feel safe where they bring their vehicle, which we do after we bring ours. We now bring our entire company fleet of vehicles here because they have been so true to their word. Our local vehicles put on 100s of thousands of miles every year. I just had my brakes done and thought they would be all around. He mentioned I had 40% left on my front brakes, so there is no need to change those yet and they would just get the back ones. They wont sell you anything you dont need.
They replaced my muffler and resonator pipe quickly once they got the parts. I would go back again.
First of all, Im sorry about my English. I was going there for 1 year. They made oil change, brake fluid change and brake pads and rotors for my car. My car was not making a sound until they changed the brake pads and rotors. After they changed brake pads and rotors, my car starts making the sound. I went there so many times for the sound problem. The First time, they checked and they told me my car didnt have any problem but my car continued to make sounds. I went there again, again and again. A total of 4-5 times I went there for the same problem. At every time, they told me the same things. But today, they told my car have a problem and I have to pay an extra 300$. 2 days ago, when I went there for the same problem and 90K miles maintenance, they told me everything is ok. I believed and trusted them. Now, I dont want you to fall into the same mistake. You have to think again before you go there. By the way, I gave 2 stars for this company because Steve is a really good person. He tried to help me but it didnt work. I just had to pay 300$ more. Thank you.Edit: They called me for solution and solved my problem. They totally changed my thought. Now, my car doesnt make sound. They really worked for solution and good person. I am truly satisfied with my overall experience. Thank you...
Excellent service, the manager, William, is attentive, friendly and professional, I highly recommend this place for all of your automotive repairs and services.
They are really good people to work with. Honest and treat everybody fairly. If they don’t see issue they will not make up anything. At least I had very good experience with them.
After the dealer tried to charge me $661 for repairs I called the Midas that I drive past every day since I just moved to the area to check their price for same repair . I am glad that I did ! The quote was over $500 LESS and they could see me ASAP ! William and the staff were wonderful, friendly efficient and had amazing customer service! My car is as good as new I highly recommend this location !!
The shop got me in right away for which I’m so grateful. I was in one of those “poor planning” situations and got myself 175 miles from home and ended up desperately needing an oil change. The shop got me in and out in 30 minutes and back on my way. Thank goodness for those guys. Would recommend this shop 10/10.
Steve was great very professional and curious about how he could help meThanks steveMr. Sapp
Nothing but great experiences. Good repairs, honest, and friendly. Glad to find this Midas shop. Was a long time customer at a competitor across the street who is probably the least honest repair facility in the Northwest suburbs.
My driver side window wouldnt go down and I had some front break squeaky noises, I took it in on a Monday thinking it would take at least a week and they told me itd be done by Tuesday afternoon. Steve was SO wonderful to work with. He clearly explained everything that needed work and got confirmation before working on it. He also helped keep the price down by prioritizing the work that needed to be done now and what can wait. I would definitely recommend! Much more then just oil changes. Thanks guys!
ALWAYS come here to get my car worked on. Steve takes AMAZING care of his customers. So friendly and helpful. Had an issue with my airbag light. Called Steve and he got me in immediately! I will continue taking my car here!
No tricks or gimmicks here. Honest reliable great work. Thanks Steve and the crew from Midas. 08 Mercury Mariner.
I been going here for years. Great car care and quality service. Also great customer service. They can do everything from fixing my hard top convertible to and engine work.
The guys at the shop made me feel very comfortable and help me out alot. Thank you
We had a very negative experience here, and recommend proceeding with serious caution. After some very expensive repairs that lasted about a week, the newly replaced engine of our car died again just a couple months later. Despite only being replaced about 2.5 months before, along with thousands of dollars in other repairs (including a new clutch), the engine was not under warranty and they wanted more money. After a year-long-standoff with this location, someone there ultimately agreed to buy the car for parts-- which we appreciated. However, my 70-year-old mother was confident that they were taking advantage of her age, and hoping to shake us much money and time out of her as possible. The whole ordeal took well over a year, and we seriously regret towing our car to this location after its first breakdown. Well never make that mistake again.
Honest and reasonable. We have gone to them for oil changes and small to medium repairs. We usually get 2 opinions for the medium repairs and they have always been right on target. We also brought a used car we were buying here for a review and they gave us a good list for the seller to fix. Helped a lot.
Took my car over for an alignment and thought they did a good job. Joe (the manager) was kind enough to explain to me what Mike (the tech) was doing as I watched. It was a slow day for them so I suspect Joe had the time. Good people. Will go back if I need their services again.
I went on my lunch break, and I think Steve was the one to take care of me. I told him I was a teacher and I saw how busy they were but I just thought I would ask if they could squeeze me in, and to my luck he was so accommodating! I really appreciated his kindness to make it work for me on my lunch break and they did it within 45 mins! Thanks again, and will definitely be returning in the future!
My partner made a 1:00 appointment to get a headlight replaced. They told us it would take 15-60 minutes.90 minutes later they told us they hadn’t even looked at the car yet. They didn’t even tell us this until we asked.Inconsiderate, uncommunicative, and unprofessional.
Very professional, quick, friendly service & reasonable prices. Gave us options for the fix. Never been here before but will definitely be back!
I have gone to this location three times. Every single time I have experienced great customer service. The manager of this store, I believe his name is Steve, is one of the nicest people I’ve met since I moved up here. He and his staff go above and beyond for the customers. Positive environment every time I have been here.
Never had a bad experience in the 3+ years Ive been taking my 2 cars here. Always treated with a positive attitude, with respect, and Ive never felt pressured to have extra work done. I worked at a dealership for 10 years and had to deal with all kinds of different body shops and mechanics... theres a reason I keep going back to this Midas. Its called trust.
Good service and fair price.
They were nice. Brought me out to see a rusty bolt put on by previous oil change service and got to watch them change the oil. I have never seen that before surprisingly. Good people.
I have nothing but good things to say about my experience at this location so far. Shawn, the assistant manager has been nothing short of amazing. From the moment I dropped of my car to get looked at, he has given me probably the best customer service I have ever had. He has kept me updated every step of the wat with the status of my repairs and has explained everything to me so well. I will definitely return to this location for any future mechanical needs.
Absolutely wonderful service! They were able to fit us in when we got a flat tire with no appointment. Service was fast and friendly, if I could give more than 5 stars I would. Definitely recommend Midas.
Went in to get new brakes. The price was average. When taking off a tire a bolt was broken, they said something about a reverse threaded bolt being on. This didnt make any sense to me but I paid for a new bolt. Today I went to have my tires rotated and a lug nut was stripped. This tells me they had or have a problem with whatever theyre using to tighten the lug nuts.
Shawn (manager) is awesome. Always has availability and is willing to help no matter the request. Quality workmanship.
Con men who will RIP you off. Took my car in for an oil change and was told I need $2,100 worth of work! Got a second opinion and was told there is nothing wrong with my car. Dont go there!
Great and FAST service. Steve and his team are friendly and very informative. Helped me understand muffler replacement options and had me back on the road in less than 2 hours. Ill be back again!
I been talking my cars here for a very long time. The workers there are great and very knowledgeable and they tell you as it is.
I brought my van in twice, once for a steering pump return hose that fell off, and the second time for a Passenger side control arm/New tires, and both times my experience was fantastic. Everything was explained properly, and they did everything they could to keep the price within my small budget. I highly recommend this shop
Gotta nail in my tire I found out as I was going down the road in hearing nothing but a click click click click click. When into this mitis. Found out that the tire was unrepairable that it was actually somewhat in the sidewall. I was able to leave my car go shopping at myer get a new tire replaced balanced installed in less than an hour. Wonderful customer service great people great attitude I wish they were all like this explanation point
After hearing a little rattling from underneath my car, I decided to bite the bullet and take my car in for repair. My husband had previously tried out Midas AH for his old Mitsubishi Galant, had a positive experience and recommended I give them a shot for my 2008 Honda CRV, rather than going to my old price-gouging dealership. I called to schedule an appointment and spoke with Tom who was super friendly and helpful. I brought my car in this past Saturday and left it with them to inspect and call me to let me know what the problem was. When I got the call, I was expecting a quote for service. Instead, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they found the issue (loose spring) and had fixed it and my car was ready - free of charge. Every staff member I saw was very professional and seemed like they had the clients best interest in mind (I overheard a conversation between a repairman and another client). I will definitely continue using Midas AH for all of my future servicing & maintenance needs due to this experience, and highly recommend them to all!
Stopped taking my cars here because a competitors shop was closer to my house and boy do I regret that decision. Not only does midas do the work correctly the first time they are also not con artists and try to rip you off or convince you work needs to be done to tack on additional services. I have since returned and will do so for all future matience needs.
I was in the store on Jan 16 because I had a Brake Problem my car was checked the Manager I spoke to was Shaun. He said I had a brake line Leak and that I needed to replace rear pads and rotates I explained to him that I had someone that usually does my brakes when I returned on Wednesday he had replaced the brakes I explained to Steve that I did not ask them to replace the brakes he was very un professional he said to me you will have to talk to Shaun and he walked away. I never signed the original form which I thought needed to be done before the service was complete this store is not customer service oriented and they do whatever they want to do without your consent. If you are a Woman or an elderly person I would suggest you take you car somewhere else or you will end up spending a lot of money so customers be beware.
Quick oil change on a very busy day. Friendly service. Recommended for service needs
If we want a better human experience, we have to be transparent, we have to be truthful, we have to be considerate. Today, I decided to leave this review in hope that other service members do not repeat this mistake. As a general repair shop with no specialization in a specific car, be careful what you claim to be able to repair or not.MISTAKE #1:Yes, I went in for a serpentine belt replacement, but it wasnt a replacement on a Honda or a Mazda. Its a replacement on the largest Mercedes Benz ever made: Mercedes Benz GL 550 v8 BiTurbo 4Matic. Its about having the right tool for the job. Its not about knowledge. Its here that the problems started. Hands hit the coolant lines to the Turbo and coolant explodes while attempting to put on the belt.MISTAKE#2:This shop fails to alert me of the above issue. My 1-2 Hr job was slowly turning into 6 hr job. I decide to call to check on my car and Dear Steve starts the conversation with Did you know? This is everything to me. Admit that during the work, something happened and that you will do your best to get it repaired. Failure to admit, failure to submit to reality, attempt to divert the issue to some unknown mystery. Guys, mistakes happen!!! Come on... Acting like its by good faith you are repairing an additional problem.MISTAKE #3Steve called my Benz dealership to buy the part that was broken, he claimed to have repaired it, but returned the car to me while there was no coolant in the car. Thats another red flag to hide the continuous leak. I topped the car with coolant, but unfortunately my car started leaking. I then returned the car to them, but this time theres no specific action plan, I have to show up to the shop late afternoon on Friday. I decide then to take rush my car to Benz bc dear MIDAS had no loaner for me. If i dont hurry up to take advantage of a free loaner, I am stranded. Matter of fact, my car overheated on the way to the dealership and had to get towed.MISTAKE #4Rob the GM apparently is being combative. Apparently, I refused to leave my car at Midas for repair, apparently an Enterprise rental car was arranged for me. In my head, I am thinking Sir, you still want me to leave my car in your hands for further unknown mishaps knowing you couldnt repair it correctly in the first place, did you pressure test the coolant lines?. Instead of apologizing, the finger is pointed here at me the good customer. It bothers me alot knowing that I have referred alot of business here. Do you really think I want your money or looking to capitalize on your mistakes? We have to be better. We have to learn to take responsibility, we have to know how to treat each other with respect. When all I am asking this location to pay is my repair bill of $963.47 for the 2 coolant lines they broke, it could have been worst. I can ask you to pay for my tow, the 7 days loaner that I had. I can take it further. This very review could have been avoided too. Case is currently with corporate and I will not stop until a fair resolution is reached. I will stop going here and I will no longer refer business here. This is not how you conduct business gentlemen. The truth will set you free!!!
I just recently moved to Arlington Heights and I needed to get my car fixed. The staff is really nice and they let you know if something needs to get fixed and how severe the damage is. They give you honest feedback and a summary of what the cost will be and how long it takes to get your car ready.Today I needed to get my oil pan fixed and I stopped by on short notice. They were still able to get it fixed on the same day.Great experience!Thank you!
The customer service at this Midas is great. The manager, Mark Miller, got me the best deal, ordered the tires and had me out the door with a smile on my face. He showed me what to look for on my tires to know next time of my tread is low. A real class act.
Great experience last time I had a visit there. Steve manger a great guy very nice and knowledgeable
Great customer service from Steve and Joe and great mechanics - whether it is the usual oil change or an alternator replacement, I have always been happy with the work. Prices are competitive and they always have discounts or coupons listed online.
Recently went in to get a simple reset on my SAS sensor and was told it would be $75 which seemed high priced for a 10 minute reset but I was fine with it. After 30 minutes he came back and told me that the reset could not be done because I messed up something behind the steering wheel since something was not connected correctly and still wanted to charge me for the cost of the labor since he said it wasn’t the mechanics fault that it wouldn’t reset. I opposed to pay for something that wasn’t even fixed at all and charging me $75 for 30 minutes of work behind a computer seems ridiculous. I am currently sitting here with my car as a hostage and hope to leave with no charge. There’s a reason why I perform all my own work to avoid situations like this. I won’t ever be coming back here! Also to the Midas customer service please make sure that the service at the shops presents all the labor costs and the possibilities of what could or not be done before hand to not have people paying for taking their car back in the same condition.
Warning all customers beware of the worker there by the name Steve He scammed me on some work on my car that did not need any work on and now I have to take my car somewhere else worst place to goDo not trust anything they say get always a second opinion.
After taking my vehicle there to get an oil change, they inspected my car and quoted me over $700 in additional repairs to the rear struts and shocks as well as to the belt. Shortly after I left Maidas, I bought my car to my mechanic to have him take a look at my car and he found nothing wrong with my car, everything listed on the inspection sheet was a scam. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! They’re a bunch of con artists trying to get as much money from you as possible!
These guys are top notch. Fair prices and great service.
Good place to waste your money with unprofessional guys that dont even know how to instal tires
Best guys ever, great service and great prices
Steve Hubbell is awesome. I went in with no appointment and even though they were busy, he looked at my car right away. My issue was from prior work at the Westmont location. Fixed for free and had my car done in no time! Will definitely be back at this location for any future work!
Best Midas there is. Steve always takes great care of us!
Very disappointed, asked to pay for the test, promised to fix the car, at the end asked to pay with car still unfixed. Away overpricedWatch out. Its like you have been given excuse after excuse and incorrect in feedback and calls. Personally I wont see that place again. Paid over $900 for nothing.Very very very disappointedZero
Joe has never over charged me, over sell to me. He is honest, a rarity in car repairs. We have been using Midas for 20 years now.
I took my car there and described the problem. The man at the desk knew exactly what was wrong and they fixed it in one hour for a very reasonable price. Would go back again.
450 to change a blower motor!!! No thanks, shop was clean though so no points off for that
I came only with brake problembut those m....f..... wanted to fix more items in my carwith total cost of $1200 including the brakes for $700their competitor fixed it for $300very impressive milkmen.
I dont know what everyone else is crying about. I have yet to have any issues. I have never in my life brought any of my cars to a garage of any sort. I have always done all repairs myself. But it all started with my wanting a new muffler. Took my truck to them, they put it right in. They did their inspection and informed me that my trailing arms were shot, antifreeze needed flushed and power steering needed flushed. Trailing arms are a very common repair on my truck, and I thank them for bringing this to my attention before I dropped my rear axle going 60 MPH down the highway with my family. Just today I brought the truck back in to get a few quotes and had them change my oil. The inspection still showed the antifreeze and power steering fluid needed changed, because I still have not done this. They did not push the service on me either times, and in fact, I told them I would probably do it myself, and had no other questions. This tells me they are not out to scam people. The best part about this location (or maybe its a Midas thing) is that they will put in parts I bring. They do not make me buy parts from them in order for them to fix it. Most places, especially NTB, will not touch parts they do not provide. Which in the case of my trailing arms, turned what could have been a $600+ job at NTB or the dealer into a $300 job because I provided my own parts, which were probably better anyways.Friendly place, always greeted by name. Normally I can just walk in and be out with in an hour. As I said, great place so far!
I am very upset with this location. In early June I had my crank shaft sensor replaced. I purchased the part and I was charged labor only. My check engine light came on again so I took it to my mechanic that I have trusted for a long time. He advised me that the part was never exchanged. Therefore I got ripped off. I called the and spoke to Sean. He immediately got defensive and stated bring the car back and I will show you what I changed out. With an answer like that was not what I was looking to get. My mechanic showed me pictures of the the part that was never replaced. I thought this was a trusted place to get your car but truly it isnt. I had work done with them in the past. I never had an issue until now. I am very disappointed. I would suggest not going to this place of business for any reason unless you want to get lied to and ripped off.
The owner was very helpful. Flexible with creating my appointment.
I have been going to this Midas for three months. I thought that they did a pretty good job repairing my vehicle and I dealt with the General Manager Steve Hubbell Jr. every time I needed repairs. He seemed honest and was very polite. However, that changed drastically in the last few weeks. I had asked Steve if he knew any business that sold car stereos and installed them for a fair price. Instead of giving me a reference or two, he started looking on the internet for car stereo equipment and convinced me to shop on the internet. I do not and never did have a credit card. I pay cash for whatever I buy. So Steve, the General Manager told me that he would use a Midas credit card to purchase a G.P.S. unit and a subwoofer cheaper off the internet for me and I even had to pay him 10% extra for him to use the Midas credit card. I agreed to it, even though I like to see something before I buy it. Steve convinced me that this was the way to go. I trusted him, and he told me that he would install the stereo for me when it arrived at Midas. I paid him $1100.00 in cash for him to order this stereo equipment for me. When it arrived at Midas, Steve never called me. I had to go in person to find out that my order had arrived. Also, he gave me a reciept for the $1100.00 I gave him on a piece of paper handwritten instead of a Midas reciept. The next day he gave me a reciept from the internet with his name written all over the papers. He told me that except for installation charges, there would not be any additional charge. It turns out that one of the wire kits got damaged in shipping so Steve cancelled that one item. When he told me this happened, he sent me for the wire kit to Best Buy. I paid three times more than what Steve paid on the internet. He said that he would make up for the difference by installing this car stereo for less money. Before he installed this stereo I probably might had left a message or two that were a little impolite, but thats because I started getting suspicious. He could not give me a Midas reciept and there were other things that made me leary. He is not suppose to be installing stereo equipment at Midas. Its a repair place. Nevertheless, I had him start the installation on the head unit. He worked one day on it and it was the biggest mistake I made to trust him. He never finished the job, but I paid him for it knowing that he was doing something wrong. The next day he took off from work. That was the day he was suppose to finish the job for me, plus I showed up at 7:30 a.m. because nobody had the consideration to call me to tell me not to show up. When I asked Shaun the assistant manager manager about Steve finishing the job for me, he told me that was between Steve and me. what a crazy impolite answer. The next day after I tried to reach Steve several times and I was put on hold for a ridiculous amount of time and Steve never came to the phone. He was avoiding me. So the very next morning I went in person to Midads and waited for Steve to show up. I paid him $200 after he installed the head unit wrong. When I confronted him, he asked me not to show uo to that Midas anymore. The owner of this business told Steve to tell me that I am not welcome to his Midas anymore. Steve left this job with wires just hanging from my dashboard. The day that I last talked to Steve he saw that my door speakers were not working. he told me to have someone else go look at it. How rude of him to say that. Anyway I found a place in the city that was nice enough to correct the lousy job that Steve did. Steve crimped wires together instead of soldering the wires. On the reciept I recieved from Soundz Good who corrected Steves B.S. job it says that they re-wired the radio and that it was wired non professionally by Steve. Midas, Steve, and the owner get a RATING OF F-. This business sucks, they are liars, they leave me just with wires hanging. Well, since Steves name is all over my reciepts, I better get my damn money back from this Midas. F- RATING.
Fast, friendly and efficient service.
Took in the car for tire repair that other tire places (NTB) would not repair. Repaired the tire in 20min. Great customer service. Will go back again.
Great service. Reasonably priced.
Reasonably priced and very good service.
Very good service.
My normal midas is in Libertyville IL, Im truly taken care of. Yesterday my car was giving me trouble starting. I work in Arlington Heights IL had called Libertyville whom suggest I bring it over to Arlington Heights location, block from my work. I walk in having found out Libertyville had called over letting them know I had on my way. They looked everything over for me. Had me out in under an hour! Told me everything was fine probably cold weather. If I needed anything later in the week to let them know. Thanks midas for helpful staff at any location near and far, I feel very taken care of knowing your staff in every location truly cares and gets the job done!
Great service all around!! Couldnt be happier.
Great service
Never had a good experience at any Midas, this one was no exception.Fiance brought her car in, charged her over $300 for a tune up and didnt change/check or do anything to the spark plugs. In fact, they really didnt do anything at all from what another mechanic said after we brought it to him.Average tune up these days is:Air cleaner check/replaced - YesPlug wires condition check/replace if cracked. -NoPlugs removed, inspected new plugs are gapped and installed - NoDistributor cap removed - NoPoints replaced(old cars) and gapped, rotor replaced and new distributor cap. - NoCoil voltage output check visibly(blue spark) - NoIgnition timing adjusted and set. - NoCongrats Midas 1/7, great effort. And the oil was just changed before that so I know they didnt do that. The car hadnt run properly since we brought it there and we took it to someone else. Piston 1 started to misfire and had they changed/checked/recommended the plugs which happens during any tuneup anywhere else, that wouldnt have happen. However they had no problem trying to pressure her into buying additional items that she was not there for. Honestly makes me sick when places like this see women as targets to gouge. I understand it is a business, and you want to make money. I am all for salesmanship and the like, but there are such things as ethics, and this place not only does bad/lazy work, but are unethical on top of it.In other words, if you want your car fixed, an oil change, or an honest mechanic to look at your car, take it somewhere else, anywhere else. Please.Just like I feared before she brought it here, this place is at best a rip-off, and at worst just a chop shop to destroy your car further. You guys really need to do Chicagoland a favor and go out of business before you can rip anyone else off. After writing this I am starting to think I deserve the suffering because Ive gone to Midas more than once, if anyone has a support group for these kinds of things, send me an email.
Great Food. Great Atmosphere!!
It cost $33 dollars for 5minutes tire repair.
Guy at the front desk was super creepy in his demeanor and his attitude. Ive gone there twice now and every time they make the same annoying push for synthetic oil. No I dont not want to spend triple the price on something that is not necessary. Came in with a coupon for oil change that included tire rotation and they flat out did not rotate the tires either time I went in there. Theyre also pretty irresponsible - when they finished with my car, they threw my keys on the front desk where no one was sitting for a long period of time - anyone could have taken my keys and driven off with my car. There was no one at the front desk to stop them and while I waited there at the front desk to pay, no one passed by or addressed me for a good 10-15 minutes of me standing there waiting. Should have just taken my keys myself and driven off. Really annoying to deal with. Considering all the car repair / maintenance options in this area, I wont be returning to this Midas again
I have been here yesterday for used car inspection. They charged me 70$ for 70 point check, but they didnt do proper 10 check also.Really pathetic service.
